Scott was about to do something very stupid.
Like...very stupid.
He can't believe that he is doing this. Kevin would most likely slap him on the back of his head for choosing a decision like this and scold him while listing better alternatives.
I wish Kevin was here. He would give me a word or two about leaving the Pack.
Three days have passed since he left and he regretted it each day. He knew that he is being blackmailed, but that didn't mean he couldn't fight back. He had to stand up for himself and protect his Pack and family, but he went to Kirstin's house instead to settle this one and for all. For all he knew, they could be terribly injured.
Or dead.
"Scott?! Where are you?!"
The Lead Alpha widened his eyes, hiding in the closet. He wanted to laugh at that fact that he was in a closet when he's actually out of it, but he shut himself up. He didn't want to be caught.
"I have more beer with me! Drink yourself sick!"
Scott bit back a yell, wanting to bash Kirstin's head onto the wall. He heard her walk in, holding his breath. He hid himself behind some clothes, hoping that Kirstin wouldn't look in.
"Scott! I want another kiss! I love you."
Well, I hate you and your obviously dyed hair. I see those roots.
"Come out here! Drink until your surroundings are blurry! Maybe you'll abuse someone again."
Scott bit his lip from saying a snarky remark, wanting to out his plan into action. He jumped when something broke, widening his eyes when Kirstin pushed the clothes apart like the Red Sea.
"COME OUT, YOU DISAPPOINTMENT! FIGHT BACK!"
Scott hissed when he felt something poke at his back, tuning around to see what it was. He nearly fainted when he saw that it was a machete with dry blood on it, moving to the closest corner.
How does she have weapons like this?!
Kirstin let out a scream of frustration, putting the clothes back together. Scott took a deep breath, thankful that she was giving up her search.
The next words that left her mouth made him freeze, only wanting to do his plan faster.
"I guess I could just kill Mitch now. I know where he is. Come out right now or I'll-"
She was cut off when Scott suddenly jumped out of the closet a second time. He hit Kirstin's head with a book, knocking her out instantly. He smiled to himself, looking at the book in great pride.
"Books are helpful! Now it's time to do the plan."
He snuck back into the closet, looking for the machete. He took it, gasping when he realized that it was fake. It opened to a closet full of weapons, many that were illegal to own.
If you committed any crimes.
"Heck yeah," Scott whispered, taking as much weapons as he could. He picked up a Chanel bag, smiling as he put the weapons in there. "Purses are amazing."
Now for the dumb part.
Scott went out of the closet and backed up, looking at the window. Kirstin was still passed out, making Scott less stressed out. He smiled as he got to where he wanted to, ready his plan to work out.
"1...2...3!"
The Lead Alpha ran as fast as he could, breaking the window on the first tome. He rolled down the roof, hissing when he felt some of the tiles cut him. He landed on the grass, screaming slightly at the pain he felt. He stood up, brushing the imaginary dirt on him. He looked at the door, shaking his head as he did so.
"Doors are overrated."
He turned around, preparing himself for the journey home.
I'll be back in no time, Mitch.
~~~
Mitch poked at his food, exhaustion clouding his features. He can't remember the last time he had a good sleep and he hates it.
I want to go home!
"Mitch? Do you mind if we sit here? You look lonely."
It was Shane and Lisa, their trays of food in their hands. Troye and Connor stood on the right of them, holding each others' hands while Drew was behind Shane, biting at his finger nails. Melanie stood by Connor, a sippy cup and teddy bear in her hands, her hair up in braids. Mitch nodded, happy that his group therapy partners wanted to be friends with him.
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" Lisa asked, smiling weakly. Melanie sat by her, sipping from her sippy cup as she set her teddy bear down. "We didn't really get to know much about you."
"Oh," Mitch responded, tapping his fingers on the table. Drew jumped a bit, widening his eyes at the sound. "I'm Mitch, I'm married, and I have three kids. One is named Melody and she's the oldest. The two are twins named Nel and Alex and they should be coming in less than five months."
"Wait," Shane replied, raising an eyebrow. Mitch looked over at him, afraid of being judged. "You're pregnant?"
"Yes," Mitch whispered, afraid of being judged. Connor frowned, running a hand up and down his small back. "Is there a problem with that?"
"No, of course not. It's just I've never met a pregnant male before. Are you an Omega?"
"Well, I'm actually an..."
"Shhh," Drew told him loudly, his brown eyes wide. The others looked at him, wondering what he had to say. "Don't say that out loud. They're watching."
"Who?" Troye asked, looking at his friend. Drew shushed him, his long hair covering his eyes. "Drew, it might be your PTSD acting up. The Committee isn't watching us."
"Wait, The Committee?" Mitch asked softly, raising an eyebrow. Connor looked over at him, making sure that his food had were all in threes. "They sound familiar. What do they do?"
"They kidnap and do tests on Divergents," Melanie answered, shaking her head. She looked over at Drew, sighing sadly as she picked up her teddy bear. "They kidnapped Drew and tested on him. That's why he has PTSD. Now he's convinced that they're running this place."
"I don't think they are, but there's a high chance that they could," Connor continued, not hearing Drew's whimper. "This place is well protected. We will never have The Committee attack us."
"I hope so," Mitch whispered, putting his chin on his hand. He sighed as he picked at his food once more, tearing up a bit. "Am I ever going to get better? Is there any hope for me?"
"You will," Lisa promised, taking Mitch's hands in hers. He looked up at her, letting a tear run down his face. "You will become better. It's going to long though. Time fixes all wounds is a complete lie. Wounds will always be there, but they will make us stronger. You are here to make yourself stronger and you should be proud of yourself for doing so. You're amazing, Mitchy. Never forget that."
Mitch smiled as he hugged Lisa, happy that someone that was kind and motherly as her is here. Shane smiled, hugging his his friend from the side while Troye kissed Connor's cheeks, three on each side. Melanie sipped once more from her sippy juice while Drew continued to cover his eyes with his hair.
"You are all so kind. Thank you for making my stay here amazing. I think I'll like it."
"You're welcome, Mitch."
Mitch smiled the first genuine smile he had ever since Scott left.
~~~
"How in the world do we find here?"
"How should I know?" Jeremy asked, shrugging his shoulders. Jessa sighed, shaking her head as Jake frowned. "She moves everywhere. For all I know, she could be in Cuba right now."
"They wouldn't want to keep her," Jessa mumbled, shaking her head. She sat down, looking at the males seriously. "We must think of where Mitch is after we find Kirstin's house. Where could she be?"
"She might be in the house jeered she grew up in, but that's impossible. That's all the way in San Fran-"
Jeremy widened his eyes, running over to the computer. He typed something in, bringing Jake and Jessa over to him. He smiled at them victoriously, pulling up a map to a house the Betas never even heard about.
"Where the heck is that?" Jessa asked, shaking her head. Jeremy printed out the directions, getting more excited by the moment. "That doesn't look like L.A."
"It's not," Jeremy replied, smiling widely. Jake nodded, wanting to hear what he had to say. "It's in San Fransisco. Kirstin grew up there."
"Why would she want to go back there?"
Jeremy frowned, sighing deeply as he looked at the Betas seriously. Another piece of evidence he was forced to keep as a secret. He has to tell them now because he could save Mitch's life!
"Kirstin's family killed people there. They went to San Fransisco all the time so no one would catch them. Why she went there I would never know."
Jake looked at the house carefully, remembering it from somewhere. He gasped as he widened his eyes, running over to the bookshelf to get a picture. He took it over to Jessa and Jeremy, freaking out while he showed them.
It was a picture of a small brunette girl hugging a tall brunet boy. They had the biggest smiles on their faces and they looked extremely happy. They were in front of the house that Jeremy found, not making the picture more suspicious. Jeremy looked at it once more, widening his eyes when he noticed the girl.
"That's Kirstin! Alex used to be friends with her?!"
"Yep," Jake answered, glaring at the picture. He slammed it down, shaking his head. "Alex used to tell me his much Kirstin bullied him a child. She forced him to do all this stuff because it's what the 'cool kids' did. She almost got him into trouble in multiple occasions."
"Oh, wow," Jessa whispered, shaking her head. She looked at the picture too, glaring at the younger version of Kirstin. "Even as a child, she was obsessed with hurting and killing people."
Jeremy shook his head, wanting to rip the picture in half. He was about to when he saw a message on it, tilting his head. He read it over, gripping it tightly to fight off his anger.
We used to be picture perfect. Now all we are are dead and alive. Too bad Alex died.
Not.
I'll be back in no time. Prepare yourself.
"We're going to kill Kirstin. I don't care if we get in trouble. Mitch deserves justice and this will be his justice."
Jake and Jessa did not fight back once and began their journey to kill Kirstin. She will get what's coming for her.
Once and for all.
