"We have a new patient here with us! Say hello to him!"
Everyone in the group turned around, their eyes tired and bags under their eyes. Mitch touched the ones under his eyes, wondering if they'll become more prominent. They're genetic, but he worried about them getting worse.
"Hello," Mitch whispered shyly, walking over to the group. The group therapist smiled, tapping the seat next to her. "What's your name, Ma'am?"
"My name is Eliza! I work as a therapist here! I'm a Beta," she replied happily, smiling more when Mitch say down. "I'm married too. I have a husband named Alexander and a son named Phillip. My sisters Angelica and Peggy work here too. Angelica is an Alpha and Peggy is an Omega."
"That's cool. They seem nice," Mitch responded, his shyness making him tear up a bit. Eliza frowned, putting a hand on his back.
"What's your name, sweetheart?"
"Mitchell Grassi-Hoy-I mean, Grassi. I don't know if my husband wants to be with me anymore."
"Mitchell, I'm so sorry," Eliza apologized, widening her eyes. Mitch nodded, letting a year roll down his cheek. "Do you want a tissue, sweetheart?"
"Yes, please."
Eliza gave him one right away, putting the box of tissues near his feet if he needed anymore. She looked to the other people in the group, picking up her clipboard so she could write everything down if she needed to.
"Let's go around, you guys. Who wants to start?"
"Troye, depression."
"Rachel, anxiety."
"Shane, body dysphoria."
"Lisa, bipolar disorder."
"Drew, PTSD."
"Connor, OCD."
"CryBaby, Double Personality Disorder."
"Melanie," Eliza whispered, shaking her head. The fragile Omega looked over at her, her eyes wide. "There is no one called CryBaby. You are not CryBaby. Your dad didn't cheat, your mom didn't drink, your brother didn't smoke cannabis, and nobody in your family killed anybody. It's all in your mind."
"You don't know that," 'CryBaby' yelled, standing up abruptly. Mitch jumped, not understanding what was going on. "She is real! She is me! She hates her parents and her brother for acting like dolls who all perfect when all they do is hurt each other! They hurt me! Why can't you see that?!"
Mitch looked away, the girl scaring him to no end. 'CryBaby' began to cry, hugging herself so she could calm down.
"She's real, she's real, she's real."
"Melanie," Eliza told her, standing up. Shane and Lisa shared a look while Troye cuddled up to Connor, afraid of what was happening. Drew shrugged his shoulders, playing with his fingers. "Honey, she's not real. She wants you to believe that she is real."
'CryBaby' glared at Eliza, pushing her slightly so she could look at the group. They all looked at her, wondering what she had to say.
"Isn't that what our demons want?! They want us to believe that they are real so we could be hurt! That's why we believe our voices and our other personalities are real. They want to hurt us every time they could, just like what life does."
Mitch widened his eyes, forgetting that he was crying. The rest of group nodded in agreement, happy that someone was standing up for them. Mitch stayed still, his thoughts going haywire.
Someone finally knows how I feel.
~~~
"Why did Mitchy have to leave?"
"He is very sad. He needs to get better so he won't be sad anymore. He needed help."
Ben frowned, looking over at Jessi. His Mate raised their shoulders, wanting Mitch to come home. It's only been a day, but everyone missed Mitch terribly.
"When will he come home?" Jessi asked, frowning as they helped Tori clean. The female Beta shrugged her shoulders, wanting to know the answer of that. "Dos the doctors say how long he has to stay there?"
Tori looked over at Alyssa, not wanting to tally anymore. The lump in her throat was getting bigger and she couldn't control it. Alyssa sighed, holding the Omegas' hands like a mother would to her child.
"The doctor said that he will most likes be gone for a year and a half to two years," she answered, squeezing their hands gently when they gasped. "It will be a long process, but Mitch will be better in no time."
"Then why did he leave now?" Ben asked, his voice shaking. A tear rolled down his cheek, being followed by a couple others. "Why didn't he go a couple years ago? Has he been hiding his sadness from us for a long time?"
"I'm afraid so," Alyssa answered, brushing back the brunet tresses Ben has. "He finally burst. He reached his breaking point from keeping it all in. He finally revealed what he felt."
Ben and Jessi nodded, tears rolling down their cheeks. Alyssa hugged them, the both of them sobbing loudly. Tori cried along with them, Avi's arms wrapped around her to calm her down.
"Guys, everything will get better. It'll take some time, but we'll make it. Okay?"
Everyone nodded, jumping at the doorbell ringing. Kevin walked downstairs at that moment, raising an eyebrow whole doing so as he went over to Alyssa.
"Whom is that?"
Avi shrugged his shoulders and walked over to the door, unlocking it slowly. He opened the door, widening his eyes at people behind it.
"Candice Lambert, daughter of David Lambert?" Avi asked, glaring at her. Candice nodded, knowing that she would be judged. "Listen to me, Mitch isn't even here so don't even try-"
"I'm going against The Committee," the Alpheta interrupted, causing Abi to raise an eyebrow. "Here's why."
She blinked her eyes, showing her yellow and red eyes. Avi widened her eyes, allowing her to enter. Genevieve thanked him, following her Mate inside.
"I want to protect Mitch," Candice told everyone, looking at them seriously. Avi, Kevin, Tori, and Alyssa shared a look, not knowing if they should trust Candice or not. "We Divergents must protect each other."
"Wait, how do you know about Mitch being a Divergent?"
"Kirstin told me."
"Kirstin is still alive?!" Avi yelled, widening his eyes. Tori looked away from him, wondering why he didn't tell him that ahead of time. "How?!"
"She's a criminal mastermind," Genevieve answered, walking over to the other Omegas. "She's very mean."
Everyone nodded in agreement, wanting to capture Kirstin so she would no longer hurt anyone. Candice sighed, shaking her head.
"Where's Mitch?
"He's in rehab. He tried to end his life."
"Wait...what is the rehab called?!"
Candice began to freak out, shaking her head. Kevin raised an eyebrow, stopping her instantly. She began to cry, shaking her head as she mumbled no.
"What's wrong? The rehab is called One Woods."
Candice looked up at him with teary eyes, taking deep breaths. Genevieve began to cry too, knowing why her Mate was crying. Everyone waited patiently for Candice's response, gasping when she finally answered.
"One Woods is run by The Committee. They hire and take in Divergents so they could kill them. Mitch is going to die."
~~~
Scott hissed at the pain, rubbing his head as he put down the wine bottle. It's been a couple of days, but he has had two bottles of wine and he wants more so he could forget about the pain he was feeling.
The pain he gave Mitch when he left gave him pain, cursing at himself for leaving his beautiful Mate behind.
Why couldn't you just tell Mitch about your drinking problem and that you used to be verbally abusive when drunk? Relationships are built on honest.
"Oh, Scooottt."
He cringed at Kirstin's loud voice, standing up from the chair. Ibuprofen and a cup of water stood on the counter, grabbing Scott's attention right away. He picked up the two items right away, putting the pills in his mouth and drinking the water as quick as he could.
Take away the pain, both from my head and heart.
"Where are you, you worthless Alpha? Oh, looks like I'm being the abusive one. Funny how history repeats itself."
"Shut up," Scott hissed, sitting down to fight off the pain. Kirstin kissed him on his cheek, pushing her back. "Stay away from me or I will report you to The Council."
"Did that help the last two times?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Scott looked away, causing her to smirk. "Oh, Scott. I've got so much against you."
"I could write an entire series and spin off series about all the stuff I have against you."
"Oh, I'm so scared," Kirstin replied, pretending to be scared. She shook her head, sitting on Scott's lap. "You know, I always wanted a kid."
"Too bad that you can't have one," Scott responded, holding back a laugh when she glared at him.
"It's because Avi was worthless. It was his fault that we couldn't have babies, not mine."
"What?"
How was he able to make Tori pregnant though?!
"That's right," Kirstin confirmed, tapping her fingers on Scott's chest. "Avi is unable to give me babies. He's a not a real man because of that. A real man could give a woman a baby."
"You disgust me."
"I get that all the time," Kirstin told him, shrugging her shoulders. She kissed his neck, hissing when he pushed her onto the floor. "You will pay, Hoying."
Scott smirked, crossing his arms as he stood up. Kirstin glared at him, her looking killing him a million times if looks could kill. The Lead Alpha, however, was not phased.
"I will like to you see try, Maldonado."
I'll come back to you, Mitch.
