I finally got around to making the new cover for my Game of Thrones fic, Dawning of the Dragon. In a previous chapter, I mentioned that I changed the faceclaim for the main character and needed to make a new cover, so here it finally is.

This fic is part of my House of the Dragon fic, To Ensnare the Dragon. The main characters are part of an original clan I created and the stories are centred around them and their conflicts with the Targaryens (while also having a horrible habit of falling in love with their enemies).

It took me forever to finally end up with this. Similar to the previous chapter, I spent days on trying to figure out the composition, but I also had trouble with which sources I wanted to use for Luo Yunxi. I was tempted to use one where he had white hair because the pose would have worked well with having two models in the cover, but my character doesn't have white hair and I didn't want to draw his entire hair.

Kind of sad that I wasn't able to put my Targaryen character in the cover, but I feel like how I have it with just my main character as the focus and the dragon in the background works perfectly.

But what makes me more irritated is that this cover is waaaaay better than the cover for To Ensnare the Dragon, so it's making me think that I should create another cover for that fic. I probably will. Mayhaps. Most definitely.
