~~~Jeremy's P.O.V~~~

The girl giggled slightly, waving her hand in disbelief. "Close, But I'm not Toni."

"... Huh..?'"

"The name is Alter Ego. I'm a digital AI created by Antoinette! Speaking of that, where is she? She hasn't come to do anything for like a week!" The little robot computer complained..

"I-.... S-She's fine..." I said trying to swallow back anything else.

"Hmm, What about William? She came by to help a lot. I miss him too! Jeremy, have any idea?"

I felt the tears slowly trickle down my face..

So this is what she was working on.. She was trying to help... "Alter Ego..? Could you give me a moment?"

She nodded her head before I shut the computer, breathing heavily.

This was more uncanny valley shit.. Seeing my dead girl-.. .... .... Seeing my dead best friend in an AI program was one thing, but hearing that Liam helped Toni with this is another thing.. I needed help...

I grabbed the computer before grabbing a bed sheet wrapping the entire computer in it. I quickly walked out of the dorm, trying to find the only people I could really confide in about this.. At least for now.. Soon enough I would end up telling everyone about this.. But I needed to tell them first..

"What are you stealing?"

I jumped up in surprise. "Who? Me? Stealing? What's stealing?"

I winced at my terrible excuse, usually I'd be able to talk my way out of things.. But this was not one of those situations.. Ryan raised an eyebrow at me.

"The act of taking something that isn't yours. So what did you take?"

I looked down the hall. Everything was telling me to run. So I did just that. I grabbed his forearm and ran up the stairs hoping I'd run into them as well, but before that I tried to remember where there weren't any camera's.. It was.. the ... bath.. Locker room... that place!

I quickly pushed Ryan in before slamming the door.

"Okay, what the hell is wrong with you??"

"I found something, but we need Iv and Harley.."

"Need Harley for what?" I tensed up seeing Harley already in the room, looking confident yet, I could still see the small tremors in his hand from earlier. This wasn't the same asshole who introduced himself to me.. This was..

"Okay, what's with all this racket-" I Saw Iv at the door, seeing us she immediately turned around.

"Wait, Iv!"

"Whatever it is, no."

I grabbed her shoulder tightly, not being able to say anything, but It was important for her to know..

She let out a defeated sigh. "What, look, I like hanging out with you, but today is an off day.."

"I-I know.. But.. I found something.." I whispered in a low voice, refusing to say more. Her eyes hardened before we walked back into the locker room, I quickly unbundled the computer placing it down on a bench.

"... A laptop... ?" Ryan asked.

"N-No.. well yes.. But n-no..." I explained before opening it up again. The bright screen illuminated the room as Alter Ego filled the screen.

"Jeremy! Did you find Antoinette or William??"

I heard them all intake a bit of breath as they backed up a bit. "W-What is this??"

"Ivangleyes, Harley, and Ryan! Hello, I'm Alter Ego, an AI device developed by Antoinette and Willaim Lunetta-Carlos!"

"... T-They made this-.. This t-thing?!"

"We aren't just a thing!" I felt another sharp breath go away, as another avatar filled the screen.. Liam..

"Liam..?"

"Close. Still just an AI!" The boy's voice said. This was weird.. I did a sideways glance at all of them, seeing Ryan's crossed arms, clearly unamused as he looked at me.

"This isn't sitting well with you..."

"To hell it's not." He growled slowly, turning away from the screen. I understood why.. It didn't sit well with me.. It was weird and.. It was nothing even close to having them back for real..

"So what's this even about?" Harley asked.

"To be honest, I'm not sure.. Ean gave me the key.. Before.. He.. died.." I explained. Iv absorbed my words.

"Why did Toni and Liam even think to develop this..?" Iv asked.

"Beats me.." Harley admitted, staring at the screen yet still a safe distance away.

"We can answer that." The Girl said. "Ever since day one, both the twins realized there was something wrong with the way the school was opperatied.. They both found something that could contain a person behind the killing school.. But they haven't followed up on their research in a while."

I swallowed hard. "Because they were killed."

"What?"

"They both died.. Toni to Brooke's hands.. And Liam to Angelica's."

The AI stayed silent as it stared back at us..

"But we still need your help.. We need to continue to find a way out 7 people have already died.. We have to find out who's behind this and we need your help." Iv explained.

I expected the AI to say hell no.. but instead they both nodded their heads.

"You can count on us."
