{a 'lame' outing}

The small ding of a text message coming through was enough to wake Yoongi from his sleep. The morning light trickled in through the blinds, and his eyes were still shut as he soaked in the warmth of his covers before letting his eyes meet the sun's rays.

But then he scoffed, rolling over in his blanket as the sunlight hissed at his face. His disheveled bright blonde hair was scattered across his pillow, and every breath he drew in smelt faintly of printing ink. Yoongi was quick to fall into discomfort as he glanced around the room, he noticed the messy assortment of notebooks, freshly sharpened pencils and papers of tattoo designs before he realised he had slept in the tattoo parlour.

Slowly but surely, he pushed himself up from the lounge. Thankfully he didn't have to sleep in the common area of the store seeing as he already had a couch in his studio. He let his feet hit the cool floor, a winter chill biting at his skin as he shivered. He didn't want to get up, but the bright screen of his phone across the room on his desk teased him with the time of 10am and he harshly rubbed at his eyes with his palms, yawning only gently as to not.

He felt like a mess in the mornings, so thankfully he had nobody to share this moment with.

Shuffling over to the desk, he picked up his phone, entering his passcode as he checked his messages. He rose a brow as he noticed the text was from Namjoon, a single image of a whiteboard filled with colourful writing being the only message.

"Gosh, am I supposed to read all of this crap?" he muttered to himself, running a hand through his bed hair as he pressed on the message, pinching against the screen to enlarge the image.

His eyes were quick to flicker over the colourful writing, quickly getting the gist of things. Namjoon, Hoseok and Seokjin had obviously begun to come up with a reasonable plan for the banquet in two months time, one that involved everyone from both Bangtan and District Unknown. The plan appeared brief, so Yoongi didn't put too much thought into it, he wouldn't consider it the actual plan until Namjoon spoke to him directly.

But none-the-less, "I should probably tell Jimin." he sighed, slipping his phone into his pocket as he turned on his feet.

Yoongi grabbed a large grey sweater, pulling it over his head before he left his studio and entered into the hallway. He dragged his feet towards Jimin's studio, his drowsiness still not leaving him as he reached the door.

He rose a fist to knock, but flinched, pausing as he heard something through the door. Frowning, Yoongi rested his ear against the wood, jerking back once the volume was turned up. He couldn't help but roll his eyes as music blasted from Jimin's room, and Yoongi knew for a fact that this was Jimin's coping mechanism for when he was upset.

He groaned, wrapping a hand around the door handle as he drew in a deep breath, "Jimin?"

No answer.

He let out a sigh, "Jimin i'm coming in." he announced, slowly opening the door.

He couldn't help it, Yoongi's expression always softened at the sight of Jimin upset. Huddled in a pile of pillows and blankets on the lounge was Jimin, his head in his knees as he sobbed. His orange hair was a mess, the tuffs poking in all different directions as his shoulders shook.

Pursing his lips Yoongi took a step forwards, and this time, Jimin noticed his presence. The younger male's head shot up, eyes red and puffy before he rubbed at them. He was quick to jump up from the lounge, switching the radio off as he continued to wipe at his face, "Oh hey Yoongi, what's up?" he sniffled, trying his god darn best to hide his breakdown.

Yoongi simply pinched the bridge of his nose, "What happened this time Jimin?"

Jimin's shoulders fell, arms falling back to his side as he hung his head low in defeat, "That guy I liked..." he let out a shaky breath, "dumped me..."

Biting down against his lower lip, Yoongi could see why Jimin was so upset. Guys would dump Jimin all the time, but it was usually only within two weeks. This new guy had been with Jimin for a record breaking month.

From across the room, Jimin scrunched his hands in his hair, "That fucking bastard really had the audacity to dump me in the middle of a date!" he exclaimed, becoming more enraged by the second, "Can you fucking believe he was just using me to see if he was into guys!? I'm trying to be serious here-"

"-Jimin, it's alright, he isn't worth your time." Yoongi spoke flatly, his deep almost soothing voice calming the younger.

Jimin's voice softened, "Here I was thinking that I could forget about all of this Jeon bullshit by having a day out."

Crossing his arms over his chest, Yoongi rose a brow, "How about we both have a day out now?"

Jimin's eyes grew wide, "What?"

"You heard me." Yoongi said, resting his back against the wall, "You said it yourself, I need to loosen up a bit so lets just go out and do... you know... whatever normal people our age do?"

"And you're being serious."

Yoongi nodded, "Very."

Eyes lighting up, Jimin ran a hand through his hair, "Then lets go!" he exclaimed, snatching his jacket from the lounge before storming towards the door.

Yoongi's eyes widened when Jimin took a hold of his hand, tugging him towards the exit, "Wait!" Yoongi shout, rooting his feet to the floor as he stopped Jimin from dragging him any further, "We need to get ready you idiot." He huffed, a strand of hair blowing out of his face.

So that's what they did. The pair stood shoulder to shoulder in the staff bathroom of the tattoo parlour as they brushed their teeth and styled their hair. They were also quick to get changed into some warmer clothing too before Yoongi grabbed two motorbike helmets and ushered Jimin out the front of the studio.

"Here." Yoongi said, slipping the helmet onto Jimin's head, "I don't want you dying." he smirked, placing a helmet on his own head before heading over to his vehicle.

Yoongi's pitch black motorbike was parked out front. He didn't usually use it, but today was a good exception. Slipping the keys into the bike, he swung his leg over the seat. Jimin then got himself comfortable on the back, wrapping his arms around Yoongi's middle.

Yoongi flipped down the visor of his helmet, "Hold on."

-----

The clouds overhead drifted with icy, unnatural slowness. Casting his gaze to the sky, Jimin knew that it would probably rain again, so he decided to make the most of his day out whilst he could. Walking beside him was Yoongi, one hand on his baseball cap as he dipped it down to shadow his eyes. Jimin couldn't help but lightly chuckle at how paranoid Yoongi was, eyes flickering left and right as if he were on some crazy mission.

Jimin simply shook his head in humour as he lifted a hand, taking Yoongi's away from his hat and lowering his arm back to his side, "God Yoongi, we're not even in the city right now and you're still acting like everyone's out to get you."

Rolling his eyes, Yoongi crossed his arms firmly over his chest, "It's not like the Jeons aren't onto us though."

Jimin stopped in his tracks, taking Yoongi by his shoulders and spinning the male to face him, "Yoongi." He paused, giving the male's arms a light squeeze, "Just relax, this is your chance to act like a normal twenty-five year old guy!" He spoke, gently pushing Yoongi on the back as they began to walk down the streets again, "Since you've been with Bangtan all you've done is work and follow Namjoon around! I do admit, we're in a pretty bad position right now, but still - lets just relax!"

Raising his hand, Yoongi lifted one finger, "One day... only one day."

Breaking out into a grin, Jimin chuckled, "One day is good enough for me."

"Good."  Yoongi slipped his hands into the pockets of his Jeans, gesturing down the street, "So... where to?"

Smiling, Jimin slightly picked up his pace, "We're pretty much here already."

With a curious raise of his brows, Yoongi followed Jimin's gaze to the building ahead of them. It was the size of a small shopping mall, windows surrounding each side as they reflected the clouds overhead. Stretched over the entrance was a sign that read 'Arcade.'

Yoongi didn't like where this was going.

"Seriously Jimin... an arcade?"

Jimin couldn't help but snort, "It isn't some crummy old place, its got so much fun stuff!" Raising a hand, he began to count on his fingers, "A bowling ally, ice rink, food stands and of course an actual gaming arcade room." Jimin smiled.

Yoongi groaned as he slammed a hand against his face, "Sounds lame-"

"-Sounds fun!" Jimin interrupted, grabbing the sleeve of Yoongi's hoodie as he practically dragged the older male towards the entrance, "Just because you've never done something like this before, doesn't mean it's lame."

Yoongi let out a huff as he crossed his arms over his chest, not removing Jimin's hold on his hoodie as the younger male pulled him inside the main entrance.

Teenagers and young adults huddled in small groups as they wondered from place to place, the echoing of footsteps ringing in Yoongi's ears. He let his eyes roam over the arcade, noticing that there was two different levels.

Jimin was quick to nudge him on the shoulder, "Lets ice skate first!" he cheered, and Yoongi couldn't help but let out a short chuckle at how giddy Jimin was. Of course Yoongi knew how fun Jimin could be, but only seeing him in the tattoo parlour meant he didn't see too much of it.

As Jimin took a hold of Yoongi's sleeve once again, he rolled his eyes, "Fine... lead the way."

Mouthing a small victory cheer, Jimin tugged Yoongi over to the entrance of the ice rink. The cold air almost sucked the life out of Yoongi as he walked through the sliding glass doors, he felt himself begin to shiver as he dug his hands further inside the pockets of his hoodie. Whilst Jimin was getting tickets from the front desk, Yoongi found his eyes wondering over the place. The ice glistened under the dim lights, so smooth it was almost reflective. The satisfying sound of skates over ice filled the silence, the occasional skid or fall echoing throughout the rink. He almost found himself completely tuned out until a light tap on his shoulder brought him back into the moment. He turned to face the male behind him.

Jimin grinned, holding two tickets in front of his face, "You ready?"

Yoongi pushed the tickets away, "Yeah, yeah... lets just get the skates already."

As Yoongi walked towards the skate hire, Jimin simply chuckled, "I'll take that as a yes?"

The pair strolled over to the skate hire, quickly asking for their sizes before making their way over to an empty bench. They were quick to slip their feet into the skates, doing up the laces before standing up. Yoongi found himself wobbling for a brief moment before he quickly regained himself, Jimin doing the same.

Like penguins, they waddled over to the small side entry of the rink. As Yoongi placed his hands on the side, he looked down at the ice below him, sparkling almost as a thin layer of water rested on top. "Here it goes." He muttered under his breath. Hesitantly, he placed one skate against the ice, moving it backwards and forth to get an idea on how slippery it was. Swallowing thickly, he then placed his other skate on the ice, grip tightening on the edge of the rink and he almost lost control of his movements.

From the side, Jimin laughed, "You doing okay Yoongi?" he spoke smugly, following behind as he jumped onto the ice with ease. Running a hand through his hair, Jimin skated out from the side, "If it's too hard you can always hold my-" Jimin paused as his eyes rose to meet with Yoongi's. He swore he almost short circuited when he saw Yoongi skating with ease, the male wearing a usual blank expression as he slowly moved along.

The corner of Yoongi's lip twitched into the slightest of smirks before his expression fell flat again, "You were saying?"

Awkwardly retracting his hand, Jimin shoved it into his pocket instead, "Nothing... absolutely nothing." He said, quickly skating ahead before cursing under his breath. Jimin had almost completely forgotten that Yoongi was a master of balance. The guy was an expert at parkour for freaks sake, of course iceskating wouldn't be much of a problem!

Drawing his lips into a tight line, Jimin spun around to face Yoongi... but instead, his attention was drawn elsewhere, a familiar voice sounding through the rink.

"How the fuck are you so good at ice skating, don't abandon me! Stop, come back. Don't you dare spin me! Jungkook if you don't stop pushing me I'm going to-"

Jimin flinched as he heard the sound of a body colliding with the ice, his and Yoongi's gaze snapping over to the source of the ruckus.

He almost erupted into a fit of laughter as he witnessed the scene. There, cursing at none other then Jungkook was,

"Taehyung?"
