With two bags of groceries held tightly in his grasp, Taehyung pushed open the front door to the apartment. The warm air that escaped the house into the wintry chill behind him was infused with the aroma of freshly baked muffins and Taehyung could already feel his mouth begin to water. Without taking the time to lay his shoes neatly by the door, his socked feet found their way into the kitchen as the front door closed behind him.

Taehyung let out a grunt as he lifted the grocery bags, placing them against the kitchen counter. He couldn't help but rub at his back, his sore muscles a result of sleeping on the lounge for an entire week. Jungkook offered for him to take the bed, but Taehyung couldn't help but feel like an intruder in Jungkook's life. The younger was trying so hard for a life of normality that Taehyung felt slightly out of place by staying here. So he decided to do the groceries every now and then to make up for it whilst Jungkook went out and worked his part-time job at the local cafe.

Letting out a sigh, Taehyung turned to the bench behind him, smiling at the sight. Muffins covered the cooling racks, golden domes perfectly cracked down the centre. Bringing a hand forwards, each one was still warm to the touch, so obviously Jungkook had just taken them out of the oven not too long ago.

Taehyung took one into his hand, his fingers spreading around it. His eyes never left it as he brought his other hand to tear off a piece, allowing for some steam to rise upwards. Taehyung threw the piece into his mouth, humming as it melted on his tongue.

Before he could break off another piece there was the sound of a buzz from the bench beside him and he jumped, a frown painted on his face so fast; a message from Hoseok.

It wasn't his phone, it was Jungkook's. He could tell from the plain black case it sat in and the small dents on the screen. Taehyung placed down his half finished muffin, wiping at his lips before clearing his throat, "Jungkook!" he called, perching himself against the kitchen counter, "Your phone!"

Taehyung didn't have to wait very long until the sound of shuffling came from down the small hallway, and Jungkook emerged into the kitchen. His hair was a tousled mess, poking in all different directions. With tired eyes, he let out a yawn, running a hand through his locks in an attempt to tame them. He didn't even make eye contact with Taehyung as he moved past the male to reach for his phone, the screen lighting up his face, "A message from Hoseok?"

"Lets read it." Taehyung said, poking is head out from behind Jungkook as he leant over the male's shoulder.

Swiping on the message, Jungkook opened up his phone, the screen reflecting in his eyes as they grew wide, "We finally have a plan." he muttered

Taehyung let out a cough, "Seriously? Already!?"

Jungkook nodded, "By the looks of it."

Taehyung leaned forwards, eyes squinting as he read the words on the screen, "This ain't bad actually... what do you think?" he asked, turning his attention to Jungkook

"Not bad at all..." he spoke softly, eyes still glued to the screen, "I think we actually might have a chance now."

Taehyung's eyes flickered between the message and Jungkook, "But are you okay with this?" he sighed, ruffling his blue hair, "After all, you're the one who's going to have all the attention. You wanted so badly to escape this life, and now you're being thrown back into it-"

"-It's one day... just one day and I can get the revenge i've been waiting for." he sighed.

Taehyung scoffed, "I guess you, Hoseok, and Daisy all want revenge."

Jungkook shrugged, "Humans can't help wanting it sometimes."

Taehyung paused before he spoke, studying Jungkook's rather solemn expression before letting out a breath. He still wanted to break away the walls to see the person Jungkook really was... why he harboured so much hate towards his father over the death of one special person. Taehyung was a master at reading expressions, and he couldn't help but notice that Jungkook didn't only hate his father,

Jungkook hated something about himself too.

"Taehyung... are you listening?"

Taehyung snapped out from his daze, noticing that Jungkook's eyes were on him. His breath went short when he realised just how close they both were, so Taehyung took a step back, "Sorry, what was that?"

Jungkook gave a small chuckle as he rolled his eyes, "The plan," he tilted his phone towards Taehyung, "Sofia and Daisy are attending as well... they want us to all go out and get our outfits prepared next week."

Taehyung snorted, "Typical girls day out."

"I can't believe they want their outfits so early," Jungkook laughed, "it's still just under seven weeks until the banquet!"

Taehyung shrugged, "You know girls, they take ages picking out what they like. Besides, they haven't been to the banquet in years... they better make an impression."

Jungkook's smile faltered as he lowered his phone to the table, "Come to think of it," he gulped, adams apple bobbing in his throat, "I've gotta make a big impression."

Folding his arms over his chest Taehyung leant himself back up against the counter, "Don't worry about it too much. Your presence itself is enough to send the banquet into an uproar." Taehyung painted a smile across his face, lifting his hands as he made a grand gesture, "'The return of the legendary heir, Jeon Jungkook!'" Taehyung lowered his gaze, locking his eyes with Jungkook as he smiled, "It has a nice ring to it."

Jungkook couldn't help but laugh, playfully ruffling Taehyung's hair as he walked past him, "I'm changing that last name later," he smiled, snatching a muffin from the countertop. He threw it up and down in his hand, catching it and taking a bite as he walked out of the room, disappearing back down the hallway.

Taehyung sighed,

"He just took my muffin."

The small bell of the tattoo parlour chimed as Taehyung entered through the front door, skilfully balancing a tray of muffins in his hands. From the front desk, Taehyung was able to spot Yoongi working feverishly at a few documents, scratching his head as he spun his pen between his fingers.

Taehyung cleared his throat, gaining the male's attention. Yoongi's eyes darted up from his papers, brows furrowing in confusion as his gaze flickered between Taehyung and the tray of muffins in his arms. "Muffins?" Yoongi spoke, his voice deeper then usual, "Seriously?"

"It's not like Jungkook and I can eat an entire tray!" Taehyung scoffed, but paused when Yoongi rose a brow. Taehyung sucked in a breath, "Okay fine... maybe I could, but that's beside the point-" he groaned, making his way over to the front counter as he slipped the tray onto the bench beside Yoongi. Running a hand through his hair, Taehyung let out a sigh, "Have you checked your phone today?"

Yoongi stood up a little straighter, "No, I haven't actually." He gestured down the hallway, "Jimin and I have been with clients all day."

Taehyung mouthed a small 'oh' once he realised that Yoongi and Jimin would probably be quite overworked. After all, it had been a few days since Taehyung had worked at the parlour himself, so they would've been taking up his clients on top of their own.

Taehyung rubbed a hand against the back of his neck, "Well, Hoseok actually emailed out the plan."

Slapping his pen against his paper, Yoongi leant forwards, "Really!?"

"Yeah." Taehyung confirmed, slipping a muffin off from the tray beside him and taking a bite. He swallowed before he continued to speak, "Turns out you're assassinating the boss man."

Yoongi felt a cold shiver run down the back of his spine, the words echoing through his mind as he let the sentence sink in. "I-I'm the one who's going to be killing the head of the Jeon crime syndicate?"

Taehyung took another bite of his muffin, "Yep."

Leaning into the desk in front of him, Yoongi couldn't help but let his nerves begin to surface as his hand began to tremble. This was risky, if the rest of the plan failed, Yoongi would be the person that every gang in the area would come after. He was already in danger now, after being the one to cover up Jungkook's gang tattoo the Jeons already had a valid reason to want to kill him. But Yoongi trusted Bangtan,

So he trusted this plan.
