{one day remaining}

The coolness of the early morning crept over the land, the sun barely risen to provide the group with any light as they climbed their way up the window ledge.

Some of them had gathered at Delgracy hall to scout the building before the Banquet tomorrow night, and that required climbing through the windows on the second story.

The air was cool and damp, sending Jungkook shivering before he used whatever brick he could find to help him scale the wall. He knew there was a ledge above him, so he reached up a hand, grunting as he pulled himself up onto the small balcony of the second story.

Letting out a breath, Jungkook regained his composure before leaning over the edge to help the others. First he extended a hand to Hoseok, the male accepting it with a bright smile as he struggled his way up beside Jungkook. Next he offered a hand to Jimin, but the orange haired male glared it away, helping himself as he easily managed to make his own way up onto the ledge. Last, but certainly not least was Taehyung. Jungkook lowered a hand to the male, their fingers interlocking before Jungkook began to pull him up. There was a small struggle before Taehyung stumbled his way onto the balcony, steadied by Jungkook's hands.

"Thanks." Taehyung chuckled, ruffling his hand through his bright blue locks before diverting his gaze to the window in front of them.

With a stern expression, Hoseok stepped forwards, placing both hands against the bottom of the window frame. He struggled to get it to budge, but after jittering it around it finally slid open. He dusted off his hands, "Here I was hoping I wouldn't have to do any physical labour."

Jimin rolled his eyes, "You make it sound like you were born with a silver spoon."

"Yeah well, going on missions ain't really my thing."

Pushing the two bickering males aside, Taehyung stepped forwards, "Can we just get inside already?" He said, placing both hands firmly against the side of the window frame as he began to climb inside, "The sun's about to rise so we should be quick."

Following Taehyung's lead, Jungkook too jumped his way through the open window, feet landing heavily against the marble of the grand hall. Jimin and Hoseok followed closely behind, their shoes echoing against the floor as they landed.

It was eerily dark, forcing Hoseok to slip out his flashlight and shine it down the narrow corridor of the second story. "Here we are, Delgracy Hall."

All that was visible was the narrow hallway, darker at the end where it joined with another.

Running a hand through his tousled hair, Jimin pursed his lips, "I swear getting lost would be sooooo easy in this place."

"I agree..." Taehyung spoke up, keeping in the light of Hoseok's torch as he shuffled his way past a couple of doors, "...look at all these hallways and rooms!"

Beginning to walk down the hallway himself, Hoseok gave a careless shrug, "It just makes it easier for us to hide things." He commented, nearing the next corner, "I'm surprised we can even access the building like this so easily on the day before the Banquet."

From behind him, Jungkook spoke up, "The building is quite easy to get into, the Jeons have probably already stashed some weapons here themselves." He couldn't help but let out a non-humerous chuckle, "How ironic. This is a kill-free zone for gangs, but here everyone is planning how to drag one another to hell."

"That's why we've gotta be careful." Hoseok uttered, guiding the group around the corner of the hallway and over to the grand staircase.
Slowly, they made their way downstairs, running their fingertips over the golden railings and marvelling at the grand chandelier that hung overhead. Jimin couldn't help but draw in a slow breath, thinking back to when they all lived in their mansion together.

It didn't take the group long to reach the main foyer, the hall so open and spacious it was easy to think why the crime syndicate chose to host a banquet here of all places. The tables and chairs would be set up later in the day, which is why they had a small window of opportunity to hide their weapons of choice now.

Whilst Jungkook stopped to view the stage, Hoseok couldn't help but speed up his actions as the sun began to rise, the soft golden rays now beginning to cast light into the foyer. Everything seemed to echo against the walls as Hoseok threw his bag off his back, unzipping it before rummaging inside. He pushed aside chords and other things until he reached for his laptop, sliding it out with ease before sitting down against the marble flooring and placing the device in his lap.

With pursed lips, Hoseok started up the computer, eyes reflecting the bright screen as his gaze flickered over the device. "I've shut down the security cams for now," he began to speak whilst also typing away at the keyboard, "even if the Jeons are onto us they can't know where we've hidden everything." He explained, gaining the rest of the group's attention.

There was a moment of peaceful silence as Hoseok tapped a finger against the mousepad, quickly pulling up the grid of the hall onto his screen. With a smirk, he spun the computer to face the rest of the group, "Here's a map of the place... you can go and hide your stuff."

Removing his backpack Taehyung unzipped the first pocket, revealing the weapons they had brought with them. He paused, frowning before he spoke, "Even if we manage to hide these weapons, well... how are we gonna go get them without being noticed by security?"

With his hands shoved in his pockets, Jimin stepped forwards, "From past experience, I always notice that the crime syndicate boss leaves the main room roughly fifteen minutes before his appearance on stage." He commented, pausing before he continued, "That should give us enough time to prepare."

Still on his computer, Hoseok went back to typing, "If the hallways by the front lead to the stage, lets avoid them and stash our weapons away somewhere down the back."

"Good idea." Taehyung grinned, carefully taking out a gun from the bag, "Lets spread out too."

From beside him, Jimin reached into the bag, moving a few things aside before pulling out a twin pair of knives. He twirled them around a little, catching them in an icepick grip with a smirk, "See you in a few minutes~" He sung, gesturing the group off as he started making his way for the corridors down the very back of the hall.

Whilst Jimin decided to hide his weapons as far from the action as possible, Taehyung knew it was ultimately safer for him to hide his weapon of choice a little closer... for comforts sake. So slipping the handgun into his pocket, he made his way across the hall to one of the middle corridors.

This left Jungkook and Hoseok, the younger male making his way over to the open bag and slipping out a single polished silver gun.
It was his own, the one he used when he was still participating in illegal activities within the crime syndicate.
He hadn't used it in five long years... but it felt fitting to use now.

He paused, lengthy brunette hair falling softly over his eyes as he examined the barrel of the gun. With slow movements he ran his fingers over each groove, pausing once he felt Hoseok's eyes glued to his form.

Still seated on the floor, Hoseok gave a sad smile, "I'm not gonna tell you how to take your father's life... that choice is yours." He bit down on his lower lip, seemingly hesitating for a second before gesturing to the stage at the front of the hall, "If needed, you can hide your weapon up there."

Falling into a short moment of silence, Jungkook found himself relaxing with Hoseok's words of reassurance, the male slipping the gun into his belt before giving a small nod, "Sounds good... I'll do that."
Hoseok was right about one thing, hiding his weapon on stage would make things significantly easier for Jungkook. All he would have to focus on would be making it onto the stage, the weapon would already be there when it was time to assassinate his father.

Jungkook froze, raising a brow as he turned his gaze back to Hoseok, "What about you?"

"Hmm?"

"I mean... aren't you gonna hide a weapon somewhere?"

Hoseok simply shook his head with a laugh, shutting the screen of his computer before lifting his gaze, "I don't think i'll need one... but just incase, Yoongi showed me how to use a gun." He winked, reassuring Jungkook in the slightest.

So with a tight lipped smile, Jungkook spun on his feet, making his way over to the grand stage to decide where he would stash his gun.

After a few short minutes, it was Jimin who skipped his way merrily back into the main hall, his heavy footfalls echoing throughout the building. He wore a chipper expression, grinning widely as he met back up with both Taehyung and Hoseok.

With a raised brow, Taehyung placed a hand against his jutted out hip, "Whats with your mood suddenly soaring?"

Running a hand through his hair, Jimin smiled, "Found a perfect hiding spot, what else?" he beamed, earning a small chuckle from Hoseok who stood beside him.
Jimin then looked left and right, his smile faltering, "Where's Jungkook-"

As if on cue, Jungkook slipped his way out from the side door of the stage, slowly striding his way back over to the group. His hands were slipped into his pockets, the light of the early morning sun filtering through the window and sending the stray strands of his hair aglow. He appeared confident and steady, which was a sign of reassurance that he could actually follow through with this plan.
That he was ready to take down the crime syndicate.

Hoseok gave the warmest of smiles, diverting his gaze as he began to pack up his computer gear, wrapping up a few chords and shoving them back into his backpack, "Are you ready for this?"

Although Hoseok wasn't looking his way, Jungkook could tell that question was directed at him. He drew in a slow breath, stopping at Hoseok's side, "I should be asking you that question..." he paused before he continued, watching as Hoseok began to stiffen, "Your sister right? I guess you finally get some peace of mind if this all goes well-"

"You'll get some peace of mind too." Hoseok cut in, his sentence coming out rather rushed. The male finished packing up his computer gear, slinging his backpack back over his shoulder before finally settling his gaze on Jungkook.

Jungkook took this moment to ask, "Will you continue with Bangtan or-"

"I'm not too sure." Hoseok pursed his lips, tightening his hold on the strap of his bag, "To be honest... I think all of this built up anger of mine was just a waste." He confessed, ruffling a hand through his hair, "My sister won't come back, I know that all too well. And because I've spent so much time trying to find out exactly what happened to her... I've neglected my future."

Expression softening, Jungkook let out a breath, "I'm sorry that you lost your sister to them... I wish I would've known about her..."

A sad smile worked its way over Hoseok's lips, "You wouldn't have... you probably didn't know a thing." he said, drawing in a sharp breath before regaining his composure, "What's done is done, no use dwelling on it. I'm just glad we can finally put this bastard of a leader in the ground."

Jungkook found himself letting out a light chuckle, "I'm with you on that."

"Jungkook." Hoseok opened up his arms, catching Jungkook off guard as he eloped him in a warm hug, "Stop stressing so much."

Feet rooted to the floor, Jungkook's body tensed, the male feeling a little off at first until he found himself melting into the hug. It was warm and comforting, so finally he hugged back, "I'll try." He whispered, staying like that a moment longer until the both of them pulled away.

"See you tomorrow?" Hoseok grinned, watching as Jungkook smiled wide,

"See you tomorrow."
