{newest member of the family}

Awkwardly, Jungkook made his way past Taehyung and Hoseok, stepping into the main foyer of the mansion. Although he had been here countless times over the past week, he couldn't shake the feeling of this being something different. Like something a lot more serious then just visiting every so often. The members were trusting him not to leak information, to not steal or spy. It seemed as though they were all warming up to the idea of Jungkook being serious about wanting to start fresh... probably because his family tattoo was finally covered up, which is a serious offence to the Jeons. Yoongi could even get killed for covering up such a thing.

Behind him, Hoseok closed the front door, locking it before he turned to Jungkook. Taehyung hung around as well, deciding that whatever was happening was probably more interesting then the television show he was watching in the room over.

With a slight smirk, Hoseok turned to face the younger, "So... something must've happened i'm guessing. I'm certain someone's heart-rate doesn't skyrocket that high when they're sick."

Taehyung frowned, shoving another handful of chips into his mouth, "Heart-rate?"

Scoffing, Jungkook placed a hand against his hip, "I'm not spilling anything, not unless its life threatening to the gang." he confessed, not surprising Hoseok with his words. Jungkook seriously would tell Bangtan of his father, but only if he was sure that his father was onto them. For now, Jungkook could still tell that he was under the radar. "But out of curiosity..." Jungkook swallowed thickly, "how high was my heart-rate?"

Running a hand through his hair, Hoseok let out a sigh, "160."

"Fuck that's high!" Taehyung shout, "Panic attack levels are usually 120-130... you were basically on the verge of a cardiac arrest!"

Jungkook groaned, "I'm fine, trust me... I was just unwell."

Whilst Hoseok pushed no further on the matter, Taehyung couldn't help but frown, taking another chip from his packet as he continued to eye Jungkook with suspicion. There was one thing that bugged Taehyung more then anything, and that was withheld information. He was the teams lure, the one person who could use their charms to make anyone speak and reveal all their deepest and darkest secrets.

Taehyung saw this as a mission almost.

"Make yourself comfortable then." Hoseok said, turning on his heels as he waved the pair off, "I'll send Namjoon down to greet you, I'm heading off to bed."

"Damn." Taehyung spoke up, watching as the raven haired male ascended the stairs, "It's rare for Hoseok to feel comfortable falling asleep."

"Almost like he's slipping." A new voice spoke up. Jungkook turned his head over Taehyung's shoulder, watching as Yoongi strolled into the room. Unlike most of the time, Yoongi wasn't wearing his famous black cap, revealing his snow white hair underneath, "No one was given a mission today, and Hoseok didn't track anyone.... this is the one time where we need to be on alert, but it almost seems as if we're slacking off?"

"Calm down Yoongi." Namjoon's voice erupted, the male making his way down the staircase and into the foyer, "I'm sure Hoseok's planning something, and if he doesn't take action, I'll send you out on a mission tomorrow." he explained, cooly and calmly like a true leader. "I'm just as concerned as everyone else here." He paused, turning his attention to Jungkook. The brunette stood there, tightening his grip on the strap of his backpack as he locked eyes with the leader. To his surprise, Namjoon's expression softened, "It's good to have you Jungkook."

Jungkook gave a tight lipped smile, "I'll make myself useful now that I'm officially here." he began to speak, deciding it would be best for him to work alongside them, "I specialise in close combat and I'm pretty darn good with a gun."

"An all rounder then?"

"Yep." Jungkook spoke, popping the 'p' as he awaited Namjoon's response.

"Good, we could really use someone like you." he finished, walking off towards the living room. Being his right hand man, Yoongi also followed, presumably to get an update on the current situation. There were still gangs hanging out in the Bangtan area, and there was still the possibility the Jeons wanted something from them... not Jungkook, no... but something else.

--------

Morning arrived quicker then Jungkook had expected, the rays of the morning sun waking him rather early. He'd only slept over at the Bangtan mansion once before, so waking up in a new location confused him for a moment before he regained himself, remembering that this would now be the place where he spent most of his time.

Sitting up in bed, Jungkook stared straight ahead for a minute, letting himself wake up properly as he remained buried in a mound of blankets, pillows and duvets. Unlike Taehyung's room full of retro goods or Hoseok's room full of computers and monitors, Jungkook thought his room looked quite bland. He made a mental note to fix it up later.

With a groan, Jungkook kicked his legs around to the side of the bed, placing his bare feet against the carpeted floor. He gave a yawn, stretching his arms high above his head before dropping them back to his side, letting out a drastic sigh as he shuffled over to the door, stepping out into the long hallway.

At the same time he was closing his door behind him, another door opened on the other end of the hall. From another room, Yoongi emerged, face a little puffy from sleep. His overly bleached hair was a mess, and Jungkook had to almost look twice to make sure Yoongi was wearing something other then black, for once he was dressed in a white jumper. It was slightly too large for him, the side dipping down to reveal his collarbones.

With half lidded eyes, Yoongi met Jungkook's gaze, giving a slight nod of acknowledgement before he made his way downstairs. Yoongi was a man of very few words Jungkook figured, following the shorter male downstairs, through the foyer and into the kitchen.

The clang of pots and pans disrupted the silence as Jungkook rounded the corner, spotting Seokjin beside the stove. He was cracking a couple of eggs into the frying pan, turning around briefly as he sent a smile Jungkook's way, "Morning." Seokjin said, focusing on the pan once again, "Take a seat, breakfast won't take too long."

But Jungkook stood still for a moment.

This felt so new, so refreshing. He wasn't greeted by bloodshed like most mornings in the Jeon house, nor was he waking up alone like he did back at his apartment. He was here, with Bangtan, surrounded by genuinely nice people. And although he was still in a gang, these guys had morals... and Jungkook respected that.

"What are you waiting for?" Yoongi piped up from the dinning room table, he lazily dragged out a chair beside him, "Take a seat."

"Right." Jungkook replied, walking over and plopping himself down in the chair beside Yoongi.

Yoongi's eyes flickered down to Jungkook's arm, "How's the tattoo healing?"

"Nicely." Jungkook replied, rolling up his sleeve to reveal the ink underneath. It was still a little red, itchy, but that was part of the healing process, "Most of the time, tattoos have no problem healing on me." he said, letting Yoongi examine the ink for a moment before he rolled his sleeve back down.

"That's lucky, I have pretty fair skin so sometimes the healing process goes badly if I press to hard." Yoongi said

Jungkook rose a brow, "You tattoo yourself?"

"For the most part..." he spoke, leaning his head against his hand, "Jimin does the rest."

As if on cue, the orange haired male strolled into the room. Unlike Yoongi, he looked a little more lively in the morning, running a hand through his hair as he took a seat at the table. Jimin gave a small smile as he greeted Jungkook, the smile falling as he turned to Yoongi, "I talked to Hoseok just then." he began to speak, voice falling into a stern tone, "He wants to investigate areas other then our own. The Jeons are definitely doing business, and Hoseok wants to know exactly where they're based just to be on the safe side."

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat at Jimin's words, but he was quick to regain himself.

"Finally~" Yoongi sounded, his head falling against the table, "Where does he want me positioned?"

"Just outside the city." Jimin explained, pausing before he continued, "But to keep on the down low, it's just you scouting today... Seokjin is on affairs, Namjoon's heading out of town for one of our businesses, Hoseok's leaving the mansion to go plant some cameras, and I'm running the parlour alone."

Jungkook's brows furrowed, "So its just Taehyung and I at the mansion today?" he asked. While he waited for a reply, Seokjin came out from the kitchen, sliding a plate of bacon and eggs in front of everyone present.

Seokjin took a seat beside Jimin, "Yep, it's just you two... well, that depends actually."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked.

Seokjin began to eat his food, "Taehyung usually heads out by himself, he heads down to the skatepark most of the time or the arcade when he's with Jimin."

"Right." Jungkook said, taking his fork into his hand as he stabbed at his bacon

Seokjin smiled,

"I'm sure you can join him though."

{Author Note}

Pay attention to the little things, the plot for this is deeper then my plot for 'The Survivors' and I've dropped little clues here and there, I've also written dialogue very carefully in some scenes. ;))
