I miss practice every Monday and Friday. I miss learning flagwork. I miss teaching the new color guard girls how to toss.

I miss "waterminute breaks" spent crouched around Lauren's phone, watching Kpop videos.

Walking down to Logans' Mart every day during band camp and spending my birthday money on junk food.

Messing around when we were supposed to be practicing the school song.

I miss the thrill of performing, the feeling when the last song finishes and you look up and the crowd is cheering.

I miss competitions and cheering on all the schools.

I even miss the football games.

I miss the rush of the mornings before competitions and evenings before games when we'd take over the girls' bathroom, working on makeup and hair and changing into costume.
