I wake up to a dinging sound. Was it really time to go to school? I sit up with my eyes still closed. After like 5 mins I decide to open my eyes. I look out my window surprised to see it was still dark... I turn to my night stand and grab my phone. I see I got a text from Loren at 3 in the morning. What could she possibly want? I open my texts anyways.

Loren🖕🏻: Brandy are you up?

Brandy: I am now, what do you want?

Loren 🖕🏻: can you come over?

Brandy: are you being serious? It's 3 in the morning I'm not supposed to be up.

Loren🖕🏻: please I need to talk to you.

Brandy: Just text me

Loren🖕🏻: It's something I need to say face to face.

Brandy: I'm on my way.

Loren 🖕🏻: climb through my window though I'll tell you why later.

I have to do this. I don't know what's wrong, but she my best friend and I'm going to be there for her always. I grab an oversized sweater that goes to my thighs. I slip on my ugg slippers. I'm sneaking out. I slowly walk downstairs to the front door. I grab my keys and quietly walk out the door then shut it behind me. That was easier than I thought.

I walk down the street to Loren's house. Her lights were on. I didn't bother to knock on the door. I Crouch down just in case and open her back gate. I run to where her window is, her lights were also on. I find some pebbles and and throw them at her window. She opens her window soon after."Thanks for cracking my window." She whisper screams.

"Oh my my gosh sorry." I laugh

"Whatever just climb the lattice."  She points at the lattice where vines where growing.

I follow directions. I climb the lattice till I reach small slanted ledge by her window. I'm able to stand up now and I climb through her window.

I look over at Loren and she's sitting on her bed. She looks up at me and mascara is running down her eyes. I run up to her and kneel on the ground down, looking up at her. "Loren what's wrong" I ask worriedly.

"Just listen." She softly says.

We both stop talking so I can listen. The only thing that can be heard is the faint yelling down the hall. Her parents are fighting. "Loren I'm so sorry." I sit on the bed and hug her.

"Can we just skip school." She asks.

I hesitate for a moment. "Sure."

After Loren starts to calm down she gets to bed. I grab some blankets and pillows and make a mini bed on the floor. Good thing it's not hard wood. I lay down and go to sleep.

"Brandy! Brandy!" Loren says.

"Whaaaaat." I turn towards her with my eyes closed.

"Get up! hide in my closet!" She whisper screams. Reality slaps me across the face and wakes me up. I stand up and run to her closet. At the same time, Loren grabs the pillows and blankets I was sleeping on and throws them in her laundry basket.

A few moments later her mom walks in. I look through the little cracks."Already up, aren't we." Her mom laughs.

"Yah I'm just excited to go to school." She lies. Her mom gives her a weird look.

"Are you okay?." She asks Loren, putting her hands on her head.

"Yes mom, now I have to get ready." Loren tells her mom as she gently pushes her through the door.

"You can come out now." Loren says to me.

I come out the closet. "What's the plan?" I question.

We discuss the plan we had for skipping school. I know this sounds bad but Loren could use a break. "Okay I'll see you at your house." Loren says.

I nod my head as I watch her walk out her bedroom door. All I have to do is wait. The plan was that Loren said that she's was going to walk to school, when really she was going to my house. My mom leaves for work early and my dad is on a Business trip, so they wouldn't be home. Then I'd wait for Loren's parents to leave the house, which they also have morning jobs. After they left I would go out the front door and just walk to my place. Pretty simple.

I wait a dreadful 30 mins. Soon she sends me a text.

Loren🖕🏻: The coast is clear

That's my Q. I go downstairs to her front door. I unlock the door and step outside. I locked the door behind me and started sprinting to my house. This is insane. I've never done this.

I go to my room and find Loren. "Well what do we do now?" She asks.

I think for a moment. Let's just have a movie marathon."sure." She says.

We both sit on my bed with my laptop in front of us. We just watched Disney movies all day long. It was really fun to be honest.

Since its been awhile I checked what time it was. Shit. It's 3:00 pm. My mom will be home any second. She usually come home before me. How am I supposed to tell her I supposedly ditched school.

As I'm stirring up an excuse, I hear footsteps coming near my room. We both see the knob twist as the door opens revealing my mom. She gives a confused look. "Aren't you supposed to be at school?" She crosses her arms.

"Ye-yes, but we got released early so.." I say nervously.

"Is that so?" She asks. Loren and I just sit there not knowing how to respond.

"Nice try girls. But I'll let you off the the hook this one time." She closes the door.We sigh in relief.

My mom then opens the door one last time. "Oh and Brandy, there's something in the mail for you. My mom informs.

That's weird I never get mail.

Damn. That literally took my like 10 years to write. Haha sorry about that. It may not be that interesting in the beginning but you'll see 😏. Also, Hunter will be coming in the story really really soon. Probably next chapter of the one after that. It's just timing purposes. Anyways I hope you enjoyed that chapter.
