You woke up and turned to the other side to find your boyfriend sleeping peacefully, there was a gentle calm on his face which he once used to have while laying his head on your lap. Looking at him you realized how far youve come in this relationship. Its been three years since he proposed you and you happily said yes, that beautiful moment was still vivid in your memory. You were reminded of it time to time when he acted cold towards you. You wish you could go back and things could be the same as they used to be but nothing remains the same right? Yet your love for him was the same but he changed, something in him changed that made him grew distant from you. You brushed your thoughts away and prepare yourself to begin the day with positive vibes.

You looked at him again and leaned to kiss him. You placed a soft peck on his cheek which made him flinch as he instantly opened his eyes and looked at you terrified. You laughed watching his confused expression. what the hell? he backed away. Your smile disappeared as soon as you saw his angry face. Cant you let me sleep in peace? he shouted.

Im sorry I was just- you voice cracked. You stood up as you saw his irritated expression when he got back to sleep. He must be tired as he worked till midnight you thought trying to console yourself.

You were getting ready, you received a text. You jumped in excitement as you saw the news of you getting approval on a project from your company. Youve been waiting for it for so long and this was the perfect opportunity to get a promotion. Your happiness knew no bounds. You cheerfully ran to the kitchen to make Jungkook his favourite dish for breakfast thinking youll give him this great news.

Just after you were done setting up everything he came and sat on the chair. You were disappointed as you expected to see him smile seeing everything youve prepared for him. He started eating quietly and you sat beside him, pouting you said I thought you would be happy eating this as you pointed at the food placed in front of him. He looks up to you I dont like this anymore! and got back to eating. Just like you dont like me anymore? the thought crossed your mind.

After you both were done eating and you excitedly grab his hand I have a great news! your eyes shined as you told him. What? he asked plainly. Remember I told you about the project I wanted so badly, I got an approval for it you screamed enthusiastically. Congratulations he smiled and shook your hand, your heart sank at his reaction as you expected him to hug you happily.

You did not want the mood to be ruined so you decided to be cheerful Lets go celebrate. You have an off today, dont you? you asked. He thought over before answering Sorry, I have an important meeting but Ill be back early, we can go then, he got up. Something is better than nothing right? You thought as you hugged him tightly Come back soon Ill wait for you you smiled at him.

He went to the room and came back stuffing his wallet in his pocket. He was walking towards the door, you ran and stood before him smiling from ear to ear. You kissed him standing on your toes and he replied by grabbing your waist and pulling you closer while deepening the kiss, you felt happy as a ray of hope shined as you thought maybe our relationship with him can be mended

He broke the kiss and waved at you before leaving. You got busy as you completed your chores quickly to plan for the evening. You thought about watching a movie and dinner afterwards would be a perfect idea.

You text him

5:00 pm Babeee how about we watch a movie and we can have dinner at our fav place after that?

6:00 pm Are you still in the meeting? I am booking the tickets come back soon

You called him but he didnt pick up and you thought he might be busy as he often doesnt pick up when he is in the office.

6:45 pm Why arent you picking up your call? I am waitinggg. I dont want to miss the beginning, the movie starts at 8 come home by 7:30 okay

You started getting worried as he didnt reply so you called him again but no response.

7:30 pm I am worried Jungkook. Where are you? Please answer you phone

You paced to and fro trying to shrug all the bad possibilities that could happen. You were tensed and scared Should I go to the office and check? when you suddenly remembered that you have the number of his coworker who was also a good friend of Jungkook. You quickly dialed his number waiting impatiently.

He picked up after a while HELLO this is Y/N, Jungkooks girlfriend. Do you where he is? He isnt answering his calls. Ive been calling him for so long

He signed before answering I am sorry he insisted on coming to the bar and we came here a few hours ago. He drank a lot and now hes passed out. Can you pick him up since I cant drive.

You drove fast while your eyes burned from all the crying, your heart was aching and you felt breathless as a lump formed in your dry throat. Your vision was blurry as you roughly wiped away the tears which were refusing to stop. You almost bumped your car into the other car and the owner hurled abuses at you, you apologized and tried to drive calmly.

You rushed inside as you reached the address, the strong smell of alcohol reached your nose as soon as entered the bar. You were disgusted as you walked past drunk people, one of the drunk men tried to throw himself at you, you were scared as you pushed him away. Finally, you saw Jungkook and his friend on one of the tables. Jungkook had his head down on the table, he was totally wasted. You walked up to them as his friend saw you walking towards them and he spoke nervously hey! youre here, you were too mad to even reply to him as you eyed Jungkook furiously. Did he come here after the meeting? you asked his friend. What meeting he replied, the answer you were probably expecting. Can you please help me take him to the car you asked helplessly. y-yes of course he got up immediately as he sensed the tension in the atmosphere.

You along with his friend somehow managed to get him to the car while Jungkook whined and mumbled curses. you parked the car as you reached your apartment. You struggle as you put his arm around your shoulder and walked him to your room Stay away from me he complained as he was pushing you away while you were hardly carrying his weight on your shoulder SHUT UP JUNGKOOK! I AM TIRED OF YOUR SHIT you yelled as tears were continuously poured from your eyes.

DONT FUCKING SCREAM ITS HURTING MY HEAD he screamed and pushed you with all his strength. You couldnt control your body as it flung to the back, you tried grabbing something for support but its was too late and you ended up hitting your head into the closet. Your cried in pain, your hand quickly reached your head and you saw blood on your fingers. You saw Jungkook stagger and land on the bed. You quickly rushed to dress your wound. It wasnt a deep cut but it surely did hurt a lot. You carefully put a bandage on the cut while you cried in pain.

Something else was hurting more than the wound, it was the thought of getting separated from him. After thinking for it for a long time you finally decided to leave him. It broke your heart, it was so painful that you felt like dying as your chest felt heavy after you bawl your eyes out in the bathroom floor. It was past midnight there was no point in leaving the house this late also because you wanted to confront him for the last time before you left. So, you decided to stay until morning. You stood up with difficulty as there was no strength left in your body. You went to the closet and took out your suitcase and started filling it with all your stuff. It was so hard as there was not a moment in these three years when you ever felt this would happen. You always believed that you two were meant to be and maybe you are but you couldnt take it anymore now. You were so fucking happy for two years but things started changing between the two of you for the past year. You tried so hard to figure out the issue, you tried to talk to him and solve out whatever the problem was but he never opened up. He never told you what he was upset about or what bothered him.

Maybe he just fell out of love with you or he was bored of you as he often called you clingy or shouted stop bothering me and when he did, you would stop talking to him for hours but could not stay away from him even for a day and now you were leaving him forever. Will you be able to do this? You packed your stuff.

You went near the bed as you saw him sleeping peacefully you removed his shoes. You sat beside him and kissed him gently ONE LAST TIME, you could taste your tears as they kept rolling down. You broke the kiss to look at the person you fell in love with, one of your tears fell and dropped on his cheek you rubbed it away.

You laid beside him and hugged him , you knew you were being selfish as you already decided to break up with him you shouldnt do it but still a part of your heart craved for his warmth ONE LAST TIME , you laid your head on his chest and cried yourself to sleep.

You woke up, your head felt heavy from all the crying as you recalled the events from last night. You tried to get up when you realized that his hands were wrapped around you securely like he needed you you slowly get released from his grip. You saw your puffy eyes in the mirror. You get freshen up and got back to the room where you saw Jungkook standing beside your suitcase, he stared at you with tears in his eyes maybe he remembers what happened last night. You walked towards him and stood there silently. He lifted his hand and his thumb caressed your band-aid gently, Ahh escaped your mouth and he suddenly fell to the ground on his knees and sobbed. You couldnt see him vulnerable and a tear made a way out of your eye even though you thought you lost the ability to cry after crying all night.

You held his shoulders and made him stand up , his head was low and he joined his hands in front of you y/n I-I am sorry I am so sorry he voice cracked please d-dont leave me you couldnt stop your own tears as you cupped his face and lifted it to face you Kookie do you remember the promise I took from you after you gave me the promise ring? you asked softly

Flashback~

You kissed him hundredth time after he slid the promise ring in your finger and asked you to be his girlfriend. You broke the kiss and he laughed lovingly but Kookie promise me something you held out your hand for him to hold and he held it without a second thought what do you want babygirl he asked cutely. I want you to promise me that you will only love me till the day you can and if someday you want to leave me, you wont just stay only because it might hurt me, okay? his smile disappeared as he cupped your face and touched his forehead to yours I will always love you baby dont say that you pulled away and held out your hand again please promise me and he kept his hand on yours I promise he smiled assuringly.

Flashback end~~

You both recalled it I think you broke your promise kookie you said biting back your tears but I do love you please give me one last chance he begged. You removed your hand from his face and took out your promise ring. You lifted his hand and kept the ring on his palm I wish you said it long ago the painful and firm look in your eyes told him that he has lost you forever. You grab your suitcase and as you walk past him he held your wrist, you dreaded to look back as you didnt have the strength to look into his eyes because you knew you will give him. You didnt turn back please! Please YN give me a chance to mend our relationship. Give me one last chance to do it for us he said while he choked on his tears, you withdrew your hand from his grip Theres no more us Jungkook and you walked out of the apartment and his life to never come back again.
