Unknown's P.O.V

As the lights flickered in my vision, I gazed around my surroundings. Around me was a white hallway with screens on the walls. "I'm in the basement laboratory." I looked at what my creator calls arms and moved them.

"Hello?" I voiced out but no answer came.

"Master? Are you there?" I asked, but still no answer from my creator. He was nowhere to be seen.

I got off the table that I was sitting on and my... feet, touch the white floor. "Its cold... my touch sensors is working properly. I wonder where he went?" I took three steps and a big screen lit up.

There was a green holographic button on the screen. I walked closer and raised my hand. I touched the button and the screen flickered a blue colour before my creator's face is showed on the screen.

"Why hello there! Please state your name!" My master asked from the video but I didn't answer thinking it will just keep playing but the video repeated itself. "Why hello there! Please state your name!"

This time, I answered with my unit name. "[Robotic Intelligence Tactical Android] No.1" The video went blurry for a moment and his face came out again.

"RITA! Hello! Good morning! Or I hope its morning when you boot up..." He greeted with a cheerful smile and I giggled as I glanced at the clock on top of the screen.

[21:59:13]

"Now... I don't think theres any super important things that I need you to do..." I squinted at the screen and he picked up a piece of paper.

"Oh my~ I know you master... you must have forgotten something." I said aloud and as if he heard me. He facepalmed.

"Oh yeah! Almost forgot about myself! Lookie lookie... I should be behind this screen if everything goes as planned!" He said and a red button appeared with the words 'Unlock' in it.

I pressed the button and the hologram screen splits in two before the wall behind it raises into the ceiling, revealing a very big room. "Master... how can you forget about yourself? Unbelievable."

I walked inside the room and saw a lot of giant tubes with blue liquid inside of it. Probably more than a few hundred and almost all of them are empty. The tubes were connected to arm sized pipes with wires scattered everywhere across the room. All the pipes and wires were leading to the middle of the room where a glass coffin stood. I moved closer to the glass coffin and touched it.

"Cold..." I scanned the coffin and saw my master inside. White flakes of ice covered his whole body as his body was fitted inside what looks like white cushions. "A cryo chamber... he froze himself and went to sleep."

"Right on the mark!" A voice came and I instantly got into a fighting stance. I tried to summon my scythe but nothing appeared. A warning came in front of my eyes saying that my weapon is not calibrated. So I raised my fist. A diamond shaped hole opened in the wall to my right and a blue crystal came out before floating in front of me. It looks harmless so I dropped my guard and lowered my fist. "Hello! Name's Zan! An AI that Professor Naz made!"

I stared at the crystal, unimpressed at the name. "My my... Master... You are still horrible at picking names. You just flipped your own name and gave it to this... thing."

"State your function." I ordered it and a twinkling sound came from the crystal.

"Function one. Information gathering and analysis... Function two. Mapping and navigation... Function three. Portable communications array." The crystal turned gray as it stated it's function, then turning back to it's original blue colour.

"So... you're pretty much like a normal smartphone with goggle maps installed." I shortened the explaination. "Whatever... how much information have you gathered so far?"

"None."

I blinked at the crystal a few times. "What? Why? That should be your top priority?" I asked calmly as I was a little surprised. I went over to a stool and sat. 'A low class AI that was specifically made for specific jobs shouldn't be able to disobey orders!'

The AI was about to answer but I cut it off with another question. "What are your orders given by Master Naz?"

The crystal glowed brightly and dimmed down after a few seconds. "My orders are to stay inside the building until you reboot manually or until the times for the Professor to wake up... or if something happens that is connected to the Professor's wellbeing... and he ordered me to help you in any way possible." It told me and I nodded.

"And.. for a fact. You woke at the perfect time Lady Rita."

"Why is that?"

"As you can see, all of the cryo liquid containers are empty except one and that one is in 10%. In fact, I was about to boot you up myself." It said and I looked at the last giant tube next to the coffin. It has a red warning sign flashing on it.

"That's lucky... now, how long do I have before he wakes up?" I asked and in an instant a list appeared in my eyes. It was all of my to-do list like cleaning the house, cooking and so on.

"We have about 24 days... but..." It spoke but started to trail off and the crystal turned pale blue.

"But...?" I asked it but it didn't answer. "But what?!" I yelled at it.

"Butts! Yes! Butts! Uh..." It yelled back and I gave it a nice smile. Right before I grabbed it and started to squeeze it. "Ah! Okay okay! I'll tell! Please don't crush me! I'm one of a kind!"

I let it go and it floats away from my reach. "Phew... you see... the parts that is supposed to de-freeze and keep the Professor alive is broken... and if its not fixed before the cryo liquid runs out.." It explained but starts to trail off again but I can fill in the blanks.

"He'll become an actual dead human popsicle... Zan, what parts do we need to repair it and do we have it?" I asked but it didn't answer. It doesn't need to because I can already guess that we don't have what we need.

"Dammit!" I looked at my master's frozen figure and cursed. "Looks like we need to go outside and find the parts we need." I told Zan.

He twinkled and displayed a map. "This is a map captured by the last online satellite from 7 thousand years ago. I can't connect to it now so lets just assume that its already destroyed."

I looked at the map and pictures to see any resemblance of an intelligent living community where I could maybe try to get some help or maybe just raid... if push comes to shove. 'I should put that as my last resort... but I don't have that much time! Naz's life takes priority. I will try to get what I need using friendly terms but... if there is no choice, I may have to do the unspeakable.'

I let out a sigh and steel myself for what's to come. "You, where's my weapons?" I asked Zan and it glowed gray then back to its blue colour.

"Follow me please." It started to float away towards the entrance where I came in from and I quickly went after it.

I ran up the basement stairs and opened the door to the kitchens.

"Oh! So dirty!" Looking around the kitchen I see spider webs covering the ceilings and the aisles. The stove, brown and rusty. A stool laying on the floor near the aisle with one rotten leg and three half missing, eaten off by insects probably.

By instinct, I was about to clean up the mess but stopped when I remembered that Naz's life on the line. "Later... after he's safe." I moved on the living room to see it pretty much in the same predicament. The skin of the couch is fraying and losing its colour as some of the stuffing is sticking out the back.

I sighed and kept moving upstairs as the crystal float up.

There I found the crystal next to a door with a plaque of my name on it. I grabbed the handle and tried to turn it but it won't open. Then the ceiling opened and a gun came out. There was a laser pointed at my face but moments later, it turned green and I heard a click of the door unlocking. The gun then folded itself and went back into the ceiling.

"He upgraded the security tenfold in the time I was offline..." I tried the doorknob again and this time it turned. The door moved a little but stopped. I looked through the crack and saw vines blocking the way.

I tried pulling on the vines but it was surprisingly strong and only bent a tiny bit. "Dammit! Hmm... hey Zan?" The crystal AI beeped in response.

"Can you slip in and see if I can do a remote calibration from here?" I asked it and it squeezed through the vines into the room. "How about it?"

It was quiet for a moment and Zan answered. "What's the maximum distance for your calibration to work?" It asked and I saw [3 meters] displayed in my vision.

"3 meters. The maximum."

"You can do a remote calibration but..." it answered but I waited for him finish. "Its inside a case by the looks of it... it needs a by hand verification to unlock."

I thought about my options and remembered something. I raised my hand and pointed one finger out. My finger opened itself and a short concentrated beam of fire flicker to life. "Nice..." I pointed my finger at the vines and burn it all off.

Giving the door a little push and the smaller vines that was out of my reach snapped before the door swung open.

Inside the room is like a whole new world. Vines covered the walls coming from the broken windows, red and white roses littered the floor growing on the vines that is on the floor. Truly an amazing sight.

I looked across the room and saw the glass casing built into the wall with my weapon inside also covered by plants. "This room is like a garden..." I carefully stepped inside, placing my feet between the flowers. Paying attention so that I don't crush any of them.

When I reach the glass box and saw the metal panel beside it. There were words plastered on it that reads [Stick Your Finger Inside] above a small hole. "Oh my~ I have such a dirty master. Ohoho..." I insert my ring finger in the hole and twisted before I heard something beeping inside the metal panel.

I watched the glass but nothing opened. "What? How am I suppose to get my scythe if the glass don't open?!" I raised a fist and swung.

"WAIT!" I stopped my fist, just a few milimeters shy of the glass when Zan yelled. "Phew... close one." It floated in front of me and stopped. "Why don't you just calibrate and materialize it in your hand instead of smashing the glass and making a mess?"

I looked at my blade inside the glass box and then looked at my hand. I started the calibration process and my scythe shined golden. The HUD in my FOV appeared and showed me.

[ACCESS GRANTED]
[APHRODITE READY FOR COMBAT]

I held my hands out and my scythe materialized in my grasp. "Zan..." I called him and he beeped. "Lets go save our master!"
