Batman stared down at the gathering of rebellious teenagers, a frown on his face.

"Let me get this straight. We rescue Wanda-"

"Batman please, we are in the middle of a briefing. Use monikers."

Batman sighed. "We rescue Scarlet Witch  from Cadmus, and in the matter of two weeks you indict her into your mind link and add her to the team?" Everyone nodded.  Batman grunted. "Okay, does she have any training?"

"She held her own against Artemis pretty well."

"Z was showing her how to control her powers and she did a damn good job."

Batman looked around the group. "I know there is no point in telling you no because you will just do it anyways, so welcome to the team Scarlet Witch."

"Thanks Batman."

"So, the mission today is to break up a group of meta human traffickers. Our intel says they will be in Germany tonight. You are to rescue the meta humans and bring them to our sanctuary in Taos. Understood?" The team nodded. "Good, now go."

The team made their way to the bioship, Wanda in awe of it. They all sat in their seats, getting ready for the long flight.

A thought struck Dick. "Wanda, this is your first time outside the mountain since you showed up. How does it feel?"

"Well, I am in an alien space craft about to enact revenge on surrogates for my lifelong torture, so I'm going with pretty good."

"We don't do revenge, Wanda. We do justice." Kaldur explained, looking over at the young brunette.

Jason leaned over, whispering loudly to Wanda. "There's a little bit of revenge involved."

"Jason, I swear, I will throw you out of this ship if you keep this behavior up." Dick spoke in his big brother tone.

"I'd like to see you try."

"There's a board back home that shows how often I kick your ass and you are testing me? I think not."

"Bring it on!"

The team looked away from the quarreling brothers, turning back to Wanda. "Are you excited about your first mission with the team? Nervous?"

Wanda chuckled. "A bit of both. I just hope I don't mess up."

"Just remember, any mistake can be fixed."

"Yeah, we will hold it over your head for months, but we will fix it."

"Jason!"

"What? You want me to lie to her? Y'all never let me live down that time I cut the wrong wire on a bomb and Conner had to throw it into the ocean."

"Yeah, but that's because its you."

"Oh, gee, thanks."

Wanda looked out the window at the passing ocean, trying to focus on her breathing just like Zatanna taught her.

The rest of the flight was spent with the team trying to decide what to do when they got back from the mission and Jason and Dick fighting.

They landed at the drop point and exited the ship, running through the forest towards the clearing where the exchange was happening.

Mind link is up and running. What's the plan, Kaldur?

Robin, Zatanna, Scarlet Witch, and Superboy are to focus on extracting the meta humans and bringing them back to the ship. Everyone else is to protect them while they do so. Got it?

Yessiree.

Get to it.

Conner led Jason, Zatanna, and Wanda through the woods towards the airplane that clearly held the meta humans. They stopped at the edge of the clearing, Zatanna calling out a quick glamour spell to hide them from the traffickers. They snuck aboard the ship, careful to not bump into any of the traffickers on their way to the containment chamber.

Wanda paused, looking over at the traffickers. The others noticed this and motioned for her to follow.

"Why don't I just-"

"You have your assignment, stick with it."

Wanda grunted, following the rest of her squad to the meta humans. They entered the room and began working on freeing the metas, hearing the commotion of a fight going on outside the craft. They directed the freed meta humans off the space craft, only to be spotted by one of the traffickers once they were outside.

"Hey! They are escaping!" He cried out, aiming his gun at the group and firing.

Everything happened in slow motion as Wanda threw her hands up, a force field of energy forming around the group. She grit her teeth as she held the force field in place as they ran towards the woods and the bioship.

Once everyone was safely on board, she lowered the shield and collapsed in her chair. Zatanna was by her side in an instant. "Are you okay? You didn't over exert yourself, did you?"

Wanda gave her a wobbly smile. "I am fine, Z. Go check on the meta humans."

Zatanna gave her a concerned look before walking over to their rescued meta humans, checking them over for injuries.

It didn't take long for the rest of the team to make it back on the ship, M'gann taking off immediately in the direction of the sanctuary in Taos. The flight was silent as the team did not want to discuss anything in front of the meta humans.

They dropped off the meta humans, following them into the sanctuary to make sure they got settled properly. As the rest of the team was talking with the director of the sanctuary, Wanda began to get a headache.

She excused herself to the bathroom, making sure no one was around before locking the door and sliding down the far wall. She groaned, holding her head in her hands. She knew what was coming and was fearing this moment from the moment she woke up in the mountain, dreading it more and more with each passing day.

"Why me?" She grumbled as a spike of pain went through her head.

That's when she felt it.

They were here.

She stood up and walked over to the sink, splashing some water on her face before looking in the mirror, not shocked to see the two figures reflection in the mirror. Wanda turned the water off, turning around and falling to her knees.

She felt a pat on her head and lifted her head to look up at the figures before her.

"Hello, my Queen."
