IMAGINE BEING ON A DATE WITH AUNT CASS...

When you first had met Cass at that cafeteria downtown, you had immediately fallen in love. She had served a pastry to you and you couldn't help but stare at her dreamily, pretty sure that this was love at first sight. When she smiled back at you it sent chills up your spine and made your heart race wildly, and you had accidentally spilled your drink over the counter and she had told you not to worry about it.

It took some time before you could actually talk to her; even then, the only thing that came out of your mouth was "hi" when you finally ran into each other one day after, and she blushed as she saw you, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear as she returned your greeting.

You weren't even sure how you had gathered the courage, but you had asked to pay back the drink you spilled and asked if she'd want to accompany you at the new restaurant your friend's friend had put up. And now here you were, sitting on a bench by the fountain while you waited for Cass. It wasn't raining yet, though the air was cool and the clouds looked heavy with a lot of rain in store. Not an ideal weather for a date.

The light of the sun somehow filtered through the narrow gaps of those clouds to reach the ground. The smell of grass wafting from the lawns around you; the rustling leaves on the trees all around you gave you a different feeling, your date would be calm and quiet, serene and peaceful.

Cass came around the corner in the next moment, having a dress on which made her look even more stunning than usual. You offered her your arm and led her inside the restaurant where the lights were dimly lit and candles illuminated everything in a soft glow. The speakers played classical music in the background as your seated at one of the tables, the waiters bringing you menus without any further delay.

Your friend's friend, Josh, came up and called you lovebirds, making you cover your face with your hand and Cass blush. Josh just grinned and told you to enjoy your stay, and a waiter came up to take your orders.

"I'll have whatever you recommend," you said after looking at the menu for a few minutes, Cass trusting the waiter enough to do the same. You talked about your lives, families and work, you laughed at jokes and flirted a little too. Cass told you that you're beautiful and fun and she secretly hoped you'd end up in a date someday and hurried to say that it surely sounded silly, but you told her that it didn't sound silly at all - that you had thought the same thing.

Your food came in and you ate while still laughing and blushing at each other, and you felt like you had finally found your perfect match.
