Ah yes, one of the earliest Studio Ghibli films has officially been eliminated from the Studio Ghibli competition. And now we have our Final Two:

SPIRITED AWAY 

AND 

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE 

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. These are our Final Two nominees in the Studio Ghibli Competition. Now let's get to know a little bit more about the movies:

Spirited Away- Released in 2002 was Hayao Miyazaki's eighth film and has been to top most people's best Studio Ghibli movies. It was so popular among both the Japanese and Americans (and Europeans and others, etc.) that the film won an Academy Award for it's outstanding performance.

Howl's Moving Castle- Released in 2004 was Hayao Miyazaki's ninth film and has been a strong contender throughout the entire competition. Like Spirited Away, this film was so popular among both Japanese and American audiences that the film was nominated for an Academy Award. Unfortunately, it did not win, but it's still definitely deserving.
