Hey guys! So for this one it's the second or third month of seventh grade for Hiro, Wilbur and Violet. This is all taking place in Hiro's POV cause...why not and also to see his stand point of meeting....you'll find out once you read :)! But anyway it's his POV and it's written the night AFTER this all takes place because this is written in his daily journal(not really a blog but whatever hehe) Anyway I hope you guys enjoy! :)

Okay then, well today I met the most amazing girl and it's crazy. I mean, I'm friends with girls like for example Violet, but I never thought that I'd like girls romantically. Now I'm just talking nonsense! I'm the science guy. I'm into science, not girls. Wilbur's the girl type. For instance, Wilbur told me almost a year ago that he likes Violet and still does even though Violet has a boyfriend, Tony. He's a cool dude. Now I'm getting off topic!

It was this morning. Everyone at school was talking about this new girl showing up today who is this famous TV star. I had no idea who she was. Okay, I'm not in with all the latest celebrities-it's not important. I was walking with Wilbur towards home room when a couple of kids were running past us to the main entrance. Confused, I asked the next person I saw, "What's going on?" It was a girl that I couldn't remember the name of-Riley! That's her name. Ok, Riley yelled, "Penny Forrester is coming!" Then she ran towards the crowd. Wilbur gasped, "I didn't know that was today!" He fixed his hair and gives me a smirk, "How do I look?" I roll my eyes, "Stupid. And who's Penny Forrester?" Suddenly Violet pops out of nowhere, "She's a TV star from that new show Bolt." I yell and then soon catch my breath, "Violet, I know you have super powers and everything but could you stop doing that??" Violet gives a half smile, "When it starts to not bother you anymore, I will." Wilbur gets his ego on and says, "Hey Violet." Violet crosses her arms, "Hey Wilbur." She starts to walk away. Wilbur calls after her, "Wait, where are you going? Don't you want to see the new girl?" Violet turns around showing annoyance, "To go see a high maintenance celebrity who is snotty and always wants her way? No thanks. See you guys later." Then she was gone. Wilbur sighs, "I love her." I put my hand on his shoulder, "You know she has a boyfriend."
"Don't remind me..well let's go see the new girl. She's gonna fall for me." I ask questionable by his hypothesis, "How do you know she's gonna fall for you?" Wilbur cocks, "Just watch." Wilbur struts over towards the crowd while I follow behind embarrassed by my friend's actions. Why does he have to act all smooth? I guess that's just how Wilbur works.

We stood towards the back and there were a ton of kids in front of us. Wilbur groans trying to look above the crowd, "Ugh. I can't see a thing!" He starts to move around the crowd and turns to me, "I'm gonna try to get closer." I waved at him and said, "You do that." I just stood there not sure if I should leave or stay. But soon I could tell Penny Forrester was here. It was hard not to with people screaming and two large men in suits escorting someone into a school, not to mention the flashing cameras. I couldn't see Penny though. The crowd was too high and I was kinda short. But suddenly, someone falls in front of me. Man, crowds can be rough. I kneel down and notice it was a girl. I wasn't sure exactly what to say or do. I ask concerned if she was hurt, "Do you need some help?" The girl looks up and I was speechless. Her smile could light up a room, her freckles make her face unique, and her hair was so pretty with her bangs...I'm babbling. She was so beautiful. I smile at her, I don't know why, she just has a way to make a person smile. Then she smiled back and it made me have butterflies which is weird cause I NEVER get butterflies. I reached for her hand and I get this tingly sensation through me when she grabs it. Ignoring it, I pull her up. She smiles, "Thanks." I tried to speak but I couldn't. I just looked down and realized I was still holding her hand and I let go. I rub my head nervously and I noticed I've never seen this girl before and asked, "So, are you new here?" She nods, "Yeah, I'm Penny Forrester." Oh geez.. How was I supposed to know that was the new celebrity?? The crowd was gone because they got scared of the bodyguards who left a bit ago and there were no cameras. I just stood there and she asked, "Don't you know who I am?" I just decided to tell the truth, "Okay truthfully no, but my friend is a fan of you." Penny giggled, "Good-about the you not knowing who I am thing. I just want people to treat me like a regular human being, you know?" I smiled impressed, "Totally. I'm kind of a genius and I just want people to treat me the same as them."
"That's cool. Let me reintroduce myself," She held out her hand, "my name's Penny." I grab her hand feeling myself heat up, "Hiro Hamada." We shook. She put her hands in her jean pockets, "Your name's pretty cool. Sounds exotic." Exotic? I never thought of my name being exotic. I put my own hands in my hoodie pocket, "Thanks. I used to live in San Fransokyo."
"That's cool-"

Suddenly, Wilbur pops up behind me wrecking my talk with Penny, "Hey Hiro. Who's the-" Then he gasps. Penny gives a little wave at Wilbur and whispers to me, "Is this the friend who's a fan of me?" I nod and then Wilbur exclaims, "You're Penny Forrester!" Penny sighs, "Yeah, I am." Wilbur holds her hand, "I'm Wilbur Robinson, we'll soon become more than strangers, Miss." He starts to bend down and I was starting to get a little jealous. Now I know this isn't me at all! But I'm surprised when Wilbur tries to kiss Penny's hand, she pulls it away, "It's Penny, and I just want you and everyone to treat like a normal girl." That made Wilbur back off. I was seriously relieved! I don't get why..I don't. Wilbur shrugged his shoulders, "Ok, I'll treat you like a regular girl," he flicked his head, "Sup pretty lady."
"I'm not into you." Wilbur put his hands up, "Okay! Chill girl...I'm actually not into you anyway." Penny nodded firmly, "Good." I feel soo much better! I turn to Penny, "So, do you need help finding your first class?" Penny smiled, "That's sweet of you to offer, but if you try to help me get to a class that I already know where it's located, you'd seem like a escort." I quickly try to apologize, "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean-." She giggles and stops me, "It's totally okay, Hiro. I also don't want you missing your first class, and we don't want that smart brain of yours to go to waste," she playfully pushes my arm and no I have NO idea why she did that! But I'm soo not complaining.. Then Penny continues, looking a little nervous, "I was kinda hoping I could...sit at your lunch table?" I grinned, "Oh totally. There is like three of us at our table, but now it will be four." That sounded so stupid! Penny nodded, "Cool. See you then," she turned to Wilbur, "and nice meeting you, Wilbur." Wilbur had a straight face on, "You too." I guess he's really over her. YES! Why am I so happy?? Then Penny was gone. I sighed not wanting that talk to end..I shook it off. I nudged Wilbur and turned around, "Come on, let's get to class before we're late." Wilbur asked with a smirk on his face, "Do you like her?" Oh gosh. I hated this because he saw through my little act. He was my best friend. Why wouldn't he? I keep a straight face and say, "Can we please just get to class." Wilbur nudged me in the arm, "You do! Wow, this is probably the first girl to ever catch your eye." I roll my eyes but sigh, "I'm into science, not girls. But...she was different." Wilbur laughed, "Dude this is awesome! Your first crush!" Ugh..

So the rest of the morning went somewhat normal. Swimmingly is the word. Penny was in my second class and I couldn't keep my eyes off her..it's just an expression. Wilbur was in that class to and he told me that Penny was looking at me too, I seriously doubt that. He was probably trying to see how I would react. Everyone in the class wanted to be the "celebrity's best friend". They were literally fighting over her, but Penny simply told them to treat her the same as everyone else. I agree with her. I mean, my big brother Tadashi's grade has royalty and guardians and vikings. But hey, a new pretty movie star shows up and we forget all about it, or I guess maybe all those cool people are in the high school. BUT COME ON. Wilbur is from the future and Violet's a superhero! I take high school classes and I should graduate high school when I go into 9th grade. I guess I'm babbling again. Onto lunch!

Lunch was actually great! I thought for sure Penny was asked to dozens of lunch tables way cooler than ours(she was I saw most of the invites happen). I thought for sure she wasn't going to it with us but she did! Before she came, Violet asked about the new girl. "She's ok," I say as I grab my lunch money out of my bookbag. Wilbur gave me The Look which is just the name of a look you give someone when you think they have a crush. So, Wilbur gave me The Look and asks, "Are you sure that's the right word for it, Hiro? I think you thought of her as more than just ok.." I mutter, "Shut up." I would normally tell Violet but this was my first..the first girl that gave me this feeling of fsngjfrifjrenvso-whatever that means. Violet seemed really confused, "..What's going on? Is there something you guys are keeping from me?" Wilbur gave a should-I-tell-her look. I shook my head no. I will tell her, just not right now. Wilbur answered, "No, everything is just fine."
"So, she wasn't a brat?" Wilbur shrugged, "Not really. She seemed nice." I just nod in agreement. I couldn't trust myself to add anything to that. Violet sort of smiled, "Well, I'm glad you boys had your fun. Now, we can just forget all about this celebrity chick." I rubbed my head, "Not exactly..she wanted to sit with us at lunch." Violet didn't look very happy about that, "Are you serious??" Soon I heard a ton of people yelling to Penny, who just came in, to sit at their table but she saw me and smiled which made me smile back. She came over holding her backpack straps tight with a grin on her face, "Hey Hiro! Hey Wilbur," she looked over at Violet, "I think I saw you in enrichment. I don't think I caught your name though. My names Penny, what's yours?" Violet was frowning at her, then turned to me. I gave her a be-nice look. She hesitated but then agreed, "I know who you are, you're practically famous. I'm Violet Parr-."
"The superhero? I know who you are, I didn't want to blow your cover if you were keeping it a secret." Violet seemed shocked for a second but hid it, "Yeah, my family decided it'd be ok not make it too much of a secret, but thank you though." Penny nodded and sat down next to her. Wilbur asked changing the subject, "Soo, where's the boyfriend, Vi?" Violet rolled her eyes, "He sits at his table, remember?" Wilbur nods, "Oh right, whoopsy." Wilbur knew this, he just didn't like Tony. Penny asked looking around the cafeteria, "Who's your boyfriend?" Violet smiled dreamily, "Tony Rydinger..he's sitting over there." Penny looks over where Violet points at and nods, "Nice. He's pretty cute." That hit me hard. I guess that was a compliment to Violet but seriously! Then Violet asks the one question that's been floating in my mind since this morning, "Do you have a boyfriend?" Penny shakes her head, "Not yet but I hope I will someday." I hope that someday is with me..why is that? Violet gave a sort of smile, "You aren't that high maintenance as I thought you were." I finally spoke feeling weird I haven't talked that much, "She wants everyone to treat her like a normal person." Violet looked down, "I kind of tried to be normal, but I'm not. I haven't really accepted the real me before." Penny put her hand on her shoulder, "I bet the real you is amazing." Violet gives what I think a genuine smile. Now I know Penny will fit in just fine in our group.

The rest of the day was ok. And soon I met up with Tadashi at Disney street and we walked home. I gave my brother a high five as I saw him coming up to me, "Hey Tadashi!" Tadashi smiled when he saw me, "Hey little bro," he analyzed me for a moment, "You seem happier than usual." I laugh nervously, "Well, maybe I just decided to come out of my little hole.." He messed with my hair, "I'll say, you were in the worst mood for a LONG time." Yeah he was probably on the ball with that. I don't know. I haven't been so open with people and kids at my school aren't the nicest creatures. Tadashi had to bail me out of a few beat downs. I still remember that one time this kid Brody gave me a black eye when he and his friends surrounded me in the locker room, making me feel different just because I was super smart and I wasn't like them. My brother said that middle school guys can be jerks and they were just jealous, I doubt they were. Then I was shaken back to reality when we arrived home. We walked in and Aunt Cass came over and gave us huge hugs. Before I could escape up into my room, Aunt Cass calls us over, "Could you guys please help me handle the rush hour? It's gonna be super packed." I rolled my eyes as Tadashi answered happily, "We'd love to Aunt Cass." She seemed overjoyed. I sighed, "I'll take cash register.."

As I stood behind that counter, bored out of my mind for almost an hour watching Tadashi, being the cafe's favorite, sweep everyone off their feet with his charm and caring nature. I'm not really jealous of him but it just seems like he doesn't even try, it's just him. Where I don't seem like I have it in me at all to care. Tadashi comes over to me noticing my bad attitude, "Come on, quit pouting and at least try to seem happy." I groan, "For you, I'll try." I plaster on a fake grin at him and he just said, "There you go, now was that so hard?"
"The hardest thing a man can do." Then he lightly punches my arm and gets back to working. Suddenly, the bell on the front door rings. I look up feeling like I will fall asleep, then my eyes shot open. Penny Forrester walked through the door. My stomach started to turn and I suddenly really didn't wanna be there, and at the same time glad to be in this situation. Like, WHAT THE HECK. I just stare at her come in and her eyes landed on me. She smiled and gave a little wave to me. That made me smile too. Aunt Cass, who I was next to, nudged me in the arm, "Who is that young girl coming through the door?" I started to feel hot, "That's Penny Forester. She's new at my school." She nodded, "I know her mother. Her daughter is pretty." I didn't know what to say to that since I didn't really want her to know about my feelings for her, "Um.." Then Penny and a older women next to her were in front of the counter. I tried to say something until my aunt did, "Hello Mary, it's so nice to see you!"
"Cassandra! You look great!" Then they start laughing and chatting about how long it has been. Penny looked over at me, "I guess our mom's are old friends." I give a half smile and nod, "Yeah, I guess so." I didn't have the heart to tell her that both my parents are dead and my "mom" was my Aunt. Not yet at least. Then I clear my throat, "So, what would you two like to have today?" Ms. Forester started to speak, "I would like the banana bagel with cream cheese and a mocha." We all turned to Penny. She smiled looking at the menu, "I'd love a strawberry banana smoothie and a build me up sandwich." I look at Aunt Cass who was writing down the orders, "Your orders will be ready soon." I say pointing over to the tables, "You can sit down while you wait." They both said thanks and went to sit down.

I got the bagel and sandwich while Aunt Cass got the drinks. I look over at where Penny was sitting and just smile. Aunt Cass was right. She was really pretty..
"Hiro?" I jump up and turn to see Tadashi looking at me, "Huh?" Tadashi looked over at Penny's table, "Why are you staring at that table?" I needed to come up with something...fast, "Uh," I look down at the bagel and sandwich, "This is the table's food and you need to give it to them." Tadashi starts to grab the food and looked at the group again. A smirk grew on his face and I start to feel red.
He starts to ask, "Does this have anything to do with you coming out your hole?" I shake my head and say quickly, "Why don't you give those fine ladies their food now.." Tadashi starts to aww, "You like her, don't you, bonehead?" I was cornered. There was nowhere to run. I was about to fess up until Aunt Cass gave me a mocha and smoothie, "Go help your brother give these to the Forresters'." I smile relieved, "No problemo!" I start to walk fast away from Tadashi. What a relief! Thank the Lord for Aunt Cass. We reach Penny's table and Penny and her mom looked happy to see me. I smile, "Here's Ms. Forester's banana bagel with cream cheese and mocha. And Penny's strawberry banana smoothie with her build me up sandwich." Ms. Forester looked pleased, "Why, this looks lovely." Penny smiled, "Thank you Hiro! And you also, sir." Tadashi gave a little laugh, "Call me Tadashi. It's nice to meet you." Penny held out her hand, "Are you Hiro's brother? You two look related." He nodded, "Yep. He's my baby bro." Then he frizzed my hair again which was a bit embarrassing in front of Penny.

She started to speak again when there were flashing lights coming from outside. Paparazzi. Penny looked over at her mom and then at us, "Can I take this to go? I hate the camera men." I suggest something, "You can hide out in the back till they're gone." Ms. Forrester says, "Go with him, Penny. I'll eat out here and talk to Cass." Penny smiled and walked with me grabbing her stuff. I could tell Tadashi was smirking at me. I'm a bit happy that I get to have alone time with Penny but at the same time WHAT DO I SAY?? Soon we get to the back of the cafe, the alley way, and close the door. I sit down against the building and Penny does the same. She takes out her sandwich and stares at it for a long while. Then she finally speaks, "I sometimes like the Paparazzi..they make me feel less lonely." I turn to her, "You get lonely?" She gave a somewhat bitter laugh, "Crazy right? I mean, I have a ton of fans, I'm on TV, billboards. I just..don't have much friends that wanna be my friend not because I'm famous. You're my first friend moving here." I felt very pleased when I heard that. Then a question popped into my head, "Where's Mr. Forrester?" Penny suddenly became uncomfortable, "Umm..he left me when I was 5." I felt bad for asking the question, "Oh I'm so sorry I-."
"It's okay. You didn't know. You have a wonderful Mom and brother." I look down, "Yeah about that..my parents died when I was 3 and my "mom" inside is my Aunt." Penny looked dumbfounded, "Oh.." I stumble out, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just didn't want you disappointed and I didn't want to lose you as a new friend thinking I'm different." Penny put her hand on my shoulder, "Hey, different is good." It was silent for a moment and then I started to stand up, "I bet your mom is waiting for you." Penny nodded, "And the paparazzi should be gone too." So me and Penny went inside. As we headed towards the cafe, Tadashi saw us and continued to talk to Ms. Forester. Ms. Forester looked to us and asked, "You ok now?" She smiled, "I'm fine mom." Ms. Forester started to grab a takeout bag, "Ok, good. We have to head home now so say by to your friend." Penny nodded and turned to me, "Bye, Hiro!" She hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Thanks for the talk." I was so stunned she hugged me, but I liked it. I was speechless, I couldn't say anything. She went over to Tadashi and high fived him, "See ya, Tadashi. It was nice meeting you." Tadashi smiled, "You too, Penny. Hoped to see you around here soon." Penny beamed, "That'd be awesome!" She headed toward the door, "I'll see you tomorrow, Hiro!" I grinned, "Yeah totally! Tomorrow." Then she was gone.

Later while I was daydreaming in bed, Tadashi looks over at me from across the room with a grin, "That was cute between you and the girl Penny today." I smile a little, "She's nice."
"And pretty." I give a laugh, "Really pretty.." My brother sat up, "You admitted you like her!" I couldn't help sigh, "I know, it's strange. I've never felt like this before." Tadashi looked back at his book he was reading, "It's called love genius." I sit there for a second and think of something. I ask quickly, "I know this is gonna sound stupid, but is there such thing as love at first sight?" Tadashi looks up at me then at his book, "There are some lucky ones that it happens to but not usually. When the right person comes, they come." Being a sneaky brother, I turn the tables, "Tadashi, have you ever been in love?" He stops and makes a straight face, "No, not yet at least." I look down feeling confused, "How do I know I'm in love?" Tadashi smiled and continued to read his book, "You'll know."

You'll Know?? How would that help me understand if Penny is the one? Is it just gonna magically happen? Is it some fate test? Well I guess I'll never know unless I turn the page..
