No One's POV

Penny's alarm clock whistled on her bed stand, blasting her ear drums. Why even have it set if she wasn't going to sleep? She moaned and turned off the timer, putting a bookmark in the book she was reading. Suddenly her phone rang and Penny grabbed it with a yawn. It was Wilbur. She answered it, "Hello?" He yelled out happily, "I didn't fall asleep!" Penny got up to get dressed and said annoyingly, "Isn't that something."

"You should be proud of me."

"Woo hoo.." She knew he was gloating a little, but also that this was an accomplishment for him. He was usually unreliable to follow any instructions. Penny couldn't help but care less since she felt so tired. Wilbur asked with a grunt, "So, how did you stay up last night?" She thought for a moment. Last night was a big blur to her, however; Penny remembered crying about what happened the following night with her father. She couldn't help thinking about it and started to get a little sad. When she didn't respond, he asked again, "Hello?" She shook out of her daze, "Oh, uh, I read a book or two."

"..Isn't that boring?" Penny was all dressed and looked at herself in the mirror, "Not really..it's a love story." She looked at her eyes. Oh geez! She could see bags forming under her eyes and they looked super red. Wilbur fumbled out his next sentence, "Um..ok, what's it about?" Penny sighed messing with her face, "My gosh, I hate this.."

"..what are you talking about, Penny?" She realized she was still on the phone with Wilbur and turned red in her bedroom, "Oh, sorry..what did you do to keep yourself up?" Wilbur snorted but it was mixed with yawn and it made him sound like a pig, making Penny giggle. Wilbur didn't notice and continued, "I jumped in my pool and got out and stood there." Penny started to comb her hair and put her phone on speaker, "What the heck, all night?"

"Yep."

"Weren't you freezing?!" She could tell Wilbur was smiling, "Being freezing made me awake. Piece of cake." She rolled her eyes, "Sooner or later you're gonna get hypothermia." His voice started to crackle, "No I won't, you're just a worry wart." Penny laughed and walked out of her room and into the kitchen where her mother was washing dishes, "You're so crazy, Wilbur."

"Well, some people find crazy attractive." She smiled with a yawn, "Whatever. Hey can you pick me up? I'm worried I'm gonna fall asleep crossing the street." Wilbur only lived a few blocks away from her and they sometimes met up.

"You know I'll be there." Her mom was secretly listening in and was questioning this conversation. Penny grabbed a granola bar, "What about Violet?"

"Don't worry about her, I'm on my way over." She hung up and took a bite of her breakfast. Penny's mom was shocked. Were Penny and Wilbur dating?? Was he cheating on his girlfriend? Her mom politely asked, "So what's going on, Penny?" She smiled, "I'm going out with Wilbur." WHAT??, her mom thought. Penny may have chose the wrong words to say, but she didn't realize because of how sleepy she was. Mary stuttered to her daughter, "B-But Penny, what about Hiro??" Penny didn't know why she was freaking out and answered casually, "He can take care of himself." She went to go over to her book bag and her mom grabbed her arm, "Penny, maybe you should be more reasonable, more slower about this." She stared at her mother and laughed, "Mom, I already made my decision. I'm going with Wilbur and that's the end of it." Penny kissed her mom's cheek and opened the door to find Wilbur landing in, "There's Wilbur. Bye mom, love you!" She ran over to Wilbur's time machine. Penny jumped up on the time machine with a yawn, "Hey Wilbur.." He yelled out, "Whoa whoa! Be careful, this is my dad's! If you bang this up, I'm gonna get killed," he got a good look at her, "wow you look awful." Penny gave a straight face, "Well, what do you expect? I stayed up all night-"

water suddenly splashed on her face and shirt. The movie star screamed, "WILBUR!" He had sprayed some of his water bottle on her complexion. He smiled innocently, "What? I thought that would wake you up-" Penny's irritation blew up and she sprung onto her friend attempting to grab the water from his hand. She grunted on top of him reaching for the water. Wilbur yelled, "No no no no, stop!!" Her mom watched from the door and cried out, "OH MY WORD!!!" She ran outside towards the time machine. The other two were too busy laughing to hear her shrieks. Penny's mom yelled from beside the vehicle, "What on earth is going on in there?!?!" They both realized she was there and sat up.

"Oh, hey mom!"

"Hey Ms. Forester."

"What are you two children doing?" Penny still didn't understand and shrugged, "We're just having some fun." Her mom grabbed her arm and said, "This is not how you have fun!" She looked at both of their confused expressions once again and said, "I'll drive you kids over to school, no questions asked!" She marched to her car and the two kids looked at each other. Penny apologized, "Sorry, she's a little weird sometimes." Wilbur waved his arm carelessly, "Hey, no worries, my parents are too. Besides, I don't have to pay for gas." So they walked over, including a surprise water splash at Wilbur, then hopped in the car. Her mom made Penny sit in front and Wilbur was in back with a ride in silence.

Violet's POV

I arrived at the school pretty early than usual because I couldn't take the boredom of everything. I sat down on one of the benches outside, since school wasn't even open yet and looked over at all the scenery. My eyes started to droop and I couldn't hold them up. Everything became dark...

"Violet!" Someone shook me and I shot up, and with quick instinct, I slapped the person across the face. I heard the person yell "Ouch" and I realized who it was. I opened my eyes to find Hiro rubbing his cheek. I covered my mouth, "Oh Hiro, I'm so sorry! I thought..it was just-" He stopped me and said, "It's fine, Violet. I'm used to that when I sneak up on people." I stood up still feeling bad, "But you were trying to wake me up." Hiro placed his hand on my shoulder, "It's okay, believe me." I nodded, letting it slide. Hiro was always really nice to me, ever since I started getting to know him and Wilbur a few years ago. Although they were somewhat stalkerish(mostly Wilbur since he had a crush on me), they tried their best to make me feel..normal. I smiled finally at Hiro, "So, did you make it through the night?" He laughed, "Barely, Tadashi stayed up with me drinking coffee and watching TV." I smirked at the imagery of it all, then became serious, "Soo..he knows?"

"Yeah, I kinda had to tell him. He's very persuasive." I crossed my arms, "What? Did he try to blackmail you with a picture he has of you doing something stupid and embarrassing?" He shook his head, "Nah, just being a mother hen..and he probably wouldn't have anything too embarrassing."

"Don't be too sure.."

"What?" I turned a little red, "Nothing..hehe," I quickly changed the subject, "Mother hen?" He felt his hair, "Long story.." We both yawned at the same time. Hiro frowned, "How long are we gonna have to stay up for?" My mind paused for a moment feeling a presence of someone behind me. When I didn't answer, Hiro added, "Can't we just tell Jack and we can figure something out together?" I looked back at him and answered, "I want to figure things out on our own before we have to bring Jack into this." I was about to tell him about the weird feeling of someone stalking me until-. "Hey you guys!" I turn and see it was Penny and Wilbur. Penny's mom yelled to both of them from her car, "Don't do anything you'll regret, you two!" And she drove away. Hiro and I exchanged a glance, "What was that about?"

Penny looked over at Wilbur and groaned, "I have no idea," her face turned red and she covered it with her hands, "Ugh, mom's are so embarrassing.." Hiro walked over to his girlfriend and kissed her cheek, "It's okay, she might have her reasons she's acting this way." Penny shrugged, "Maybe." I smiled at Hiro who sent me a feeling of butterflies as he went over to hug me. He held me there and asked softly, "How was your experience last night?" I sighed resting my head on his shoulder, "Still can't get the picture of Leila out of my head..I feel like she's out here somewhere, watching my every move. I can't get that thought from my mind."

"Well..I'm going to be here next to you, no matter what." Suddenly, I heard a squeal next to us. Penny giggled, with her feet having a spaz attack, "You guys are TOO CUTE!" We all laughed and the school bell began to ring. Hiro commented, "I guess it's time for class." I breathed in, "Good luck you guys." Penny went over and hugged me, "Thanks..I'm gonna need it. I'm so tired!" Wilbur agreed, "Me too." Hiro yawned, "Same." I looked at them all and sighed. There is probably no way we can hold our eyelids up for much longer. I prayed to myself, Oh Lord, if we do fall asleep, I pray it's not a traumatic nightmare!
