No One's POV
Violet sat in her room filling out some homework problems for Geometry class. Who would have thought tenth grade would be harder than last year? She continued to fill it out listening to her latest favorite band, Skillet. Surprisingly, that helped her with her assignments. But soon her mother came into the room and knocked on the door to get her attention, "Violet, time for dinner." She answered finishing one more math problem, "Coming, mom." Violet turned off her music and started to head downstairs. As she was walking down, the thought of Leila came into her head again. What was up with that girl? She'd try to figure things out after dinner. When turning to get into the dining room, Dash zoomed past her almost knocking her off balance.
Violet groaned removing the strands of hair that whipped across her face, "Ugh, DASH! Watch where you're going!" Dash didn't respond in a daze. Violet rolled her eyes, "Ok, weirdo." Looking down, she screamed. A flash of fire swarmed in front of her. But the true identity became normal. Violet sighed with anger building up, "Jack-Jack! What's the deal??" The six year old boy saddened looking at his sister, "I'm sorry Violet, I was just being silly.." Jack-Jack's head hung and Violet couldn't stay mad at him. She picked him up and hugged him, "Aw, it's okay, Jack-Jack. You're just too cute to keep me upset." Her dad came in with a smile, "Okay you two, time to eat," he picked them up and set them on his shoulders, "Those sloppy joes aren't gonna eat themselves!"
"That'd be weird if they did," Jack-Jack commented in the most innocent way. Violet and Bob Parr both laughed at that and the dad sent his kids in their seats. Helen Parr smiled at the friendly family banter and asked her daughter sweetly, "So, Violet, how's you and your boyfriend nowadays?" She blushed and answered, "Wilbur's great. He's all I've asked for in a guy and more! We hang out so much now and we've grown a lot closer," she looked at her dad who was getting a little protective, "And yes dad, we kiss. You can't keep me tied down forever." Her dad served his sloppy joe onto his plate puffing out his chest, "I can do whatever I want. I should ground you for life!" Violet's jaw dropped, "Dad, you can't do that!" Bob slammed the bun on top of the meat of his sandwich, "Oh yes I can!" Mrs. Parr said calmly to her husband, "No you can't, Bob." In the middle of chewing his food, her dad looked at his wife dumbfounded, "I can't?"
"Nope."
"But Helen-"
"Bob.." she stood up and kissed Mr. Parr on the cheek and retrieved something from the kitchen. Jack-Jack called to his brother, "Dash, can you get me the ketchup, pwease?" Dash didn't look at him but continued to gaze into nothingness.
"Dash?" He looked over in shock that his name was being called, "Huh? Oh, here." He passed the ketchup to his brother and looked down at his untouched plate. Bob asked with concern, "What's going on, son?" Mrs. Parr chimed in looking at his plate, "You've barely touched your food. Now tell me what you're hungry for." Violet cooed before taking a sip of her water, "Vanellope Von Shuitzz.." Dash gave her a look of annoyance, "Shut. Up!" His mother smiled with acceptance, "Oh! I just saw her at the store last week. She's such a nice girl." Dash turned slightly red rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah well.." Violet said playfully, "You should ask her out." Dash had a gleam in his eye, "Maybe I will..in time." Well no arguing with that. Later, dinner was finished and Violet went afterwards to ask her father something, "So Dad, if you were to look for information about someone at school, where would you go?" He turned to her and answered, "Well, if I were to, I'd go to the school website, search up the kids information or parent information. Why?" Violet thought for a moment to say anything and said, "No reason, just thought I'd ask." With that, Violet headed upstairs to her computer.
Soon she got into her room, shut the door, and logged into the computer. As it was loading, she noticed Penny had texted her and wrote that her dinner with her dad did not go as planned. Violet felt awful for her best friend and wished she'd be there for her, but she'd found out that Hiro was there and that made her relieved. She turned her focus back in her desktop computer which had just opened up. Violet moved the mouse to the Chrome button and searched up her school. "Ok..now to Disney High School Website..," she said to herself finding the Mickey Mouse mascot and clicked on it. She went to the search margin and looked up "Leila", since she had no idea what her last name was. Violet pressed enter and it said: No results found for "Leila". She whispered to herself, "What?" Violet decided to search for the new students section; nothing. Under just general students; nada.
She rubbed her head analyzing for what felt like hours finding nothing about the mysterious girl. Why would there be nothing about Leila in the school systems...-? Violet gasped. Then she realized...Leila was never enrolled into the school. She somehow snuck in as a student! But why would she go into this specific school? Who was this girl? What was she planning? She decided to text her friends about this and pulled up the new group chat. Violet could not believe it. It had sent, but something else popped up. A blocked number. It read; Watch your back. A chill ran down her spine and her heart stopped. Someone was watching her. She thought, the window in her room was wide open. Violet didn't move a muscle. She activates her invisibility power after a moment; still unable to move. Violet whispered to herself quietly praying, "Oh Lord Jesus, please protect me now!" She looked over at the window and a lightning flash struck the tree by her window as well, swaying it from side to side. No one was there. At least not anymore, she thought. Violet sighed in relief trying to relax her mind with the questions swarming around. Sleep..sleep is good right now, the tenth grader thought. She went to her bed, not before shutting and latching shut the window, and closed her eyes, trying to dismiss the idea of someone watching her at this very moment.
