'She was beautiful, cunning and brave, the girl with no name. A woman by her word, everywhere she'll go, she'll always carry a smile. A smile so deep, only one knew she was hurting.' -Unknown

I woke up, with the sunlight framing my eyes, the cold sweat prickling my skin, I felt at ease. At least I thought so until a loud noise beamed through my window. I groaned and got up slowly, walking towards the window. I glared at Devil-Face! His face was amused as he threw more stones through my window, idiot taking advantage of my window!
"What're you doing here?" I asked, confused as I sound. He smirks. "Duh - It's a school morning and I figured I'd take you to school today, you know seeing as were friends." He said, the last bit, was him turning red a little, and he looked away. I rolled my eyes. "Friends huh?" I placed my finger on lip, Oh shiznit! I didn't tell him I can't be his friend anymore, I got distracted because of that stupid netball sign-up. Uh! Life makes you do stupid things, I thought.
"I'll just go inside, your mom is very friendly you know, we have talked about a lot of things," he smirks and walks off into the house. I frown, what did my mom tell Devil-face exactly?
I decide to call Sasha as she isn't going to take me to school anymore. "Hey, umm Sasha?" I ask into the phone, sometimes I feel like talking on a phone is quite scary, it's like you're not actually talking to the person themselves. Know what I mean?
"Y- yeah h- hello?" Her perky voice answers immediately. "What's up, A- Audie?" She stutters, I start getting ready as I put the phone on speaker.
"You don't have to come pick me up, you know?" I say I noises of a deep voice in the background.
"Sasha, who are you with?" I ask, feeling unsure.
"Luke, he's taking me to school, and I couldn't refuse, hey keep your eyes on the road!" She shouts at Luke? I roll my eyes. "So, you weren't going to come pick me up were you?" I question her motives.
"Yeah sorry, but Luke and Adrian had a slumber so, Adrian offered to drive by yours and take you to school." She says, briefly. I nod, changing into my jeans. "So is he there?" She asks I can already see that idiot smiling.
"Uh - anyways I'll see you at school, have you heard from Tara is she any better about the whole fiasco with Matt?" I say, combing my hair.
"Yeah, she is improving, but you can tell she's jealous," Sasha says, leave it to my best friend to point out the obvious.
"True that," I say, finishing my hair and tying it in a ponytail.
"Ok, I got to go, see you later," I say, smiling, even though she can't see me.
"K, see you later. Oh and Audie?"
"Yeah, Is everything ok now, I mean with life's school and all, are you improving on meds or is it worse?"
"Its ok, you?" I say.
"never been better." She hangs up.
I head downstairs and am hit by the sweet smell of croissants and tarts. My mother is sitting on the stools with Adrian, and she seems amused with his words. I'm surprised I thought he would've been bragging about cars, girls and how much girls he likes to toy within a year, I mean look at him, he's perfect, and annoying at the same time, but Adrian is different in his own way.
"hey mom, Good morning." I greet, pecking her on the cheek. "Audie the Birdie is finally awake. I've been waiting forever," he states drinking from his cup of tea.
"So what were you two discussing about?" I raise my eyebrows. "Oh - just about how much you'd love for me to tutor you. I mean come on, you need someone as great as me to help you with your needs, right?" He quirks a brow at me, and I punch him in the arm. "Ouch - what did I do to deserve that." He says, smirking. "You wish, Walker, you wish."
"But honey, I know you are starting to get a little behind in your lessons, especially Ms. Grunge's science lessons, I'm pretty sure Adrian will help you out, as long as it doesn't concern you touching any chemicals. But apart from that, Adrian will be perfect for the job. And I'll be paying him extremely." Mom smiles pleasantly at him, he nods and looks at me. I roll my eyes and walk off.
"Are we going or not?" I ask feeling dumbfounded. Adrian gets off his seat and gives me a pointed look. "Yep let's go."
"have a nice time," Mom says, I really hate her for making him my tutor, I mean what does he know. "Will do." I wave goodbye.
Adrian's car isn't parked in front of the house. "Where's your car?"
"Oh - were walking, until my car gets repainted, were walking alright." he smiles, I glare at him.
"Is this your little way of implying that I'm fat." I narrow my eyes at him. he gives me a look saying Yeah-you-are-but-seriously-were-walking.
So, we walk.
For hours, and hours which actually is just minutes. Ten minutes later we've reached the school. Adrian pulls me close as a herd of girls surrounds him. Swooning over his looks, while the majority of them shoot death glares at me. Adrian must love this, but I, feel uncomfortable so I push him away from him speeding my walking pace.
I then realize I've lost him, great, he's somewhere in that crowd. I ignore him and walk to my lockers. Satisfied with the folders and books I need for the day and close my locker only to be met by the face of Avery [and no other.
"Hello, Avery can I help you?" I ask, a bit of irritation laced on my tone. She gives me a death look. "So you refuse to join me in the student body, and now you're stealing my boyfriend from me." She says a smug look on her face.
"I wasn't stealing your 'boyfriend' from you, and of course I refuse to join a role which clearly isn't suitable for someone like me."
"I also heard you're joining the netball team..." She begins, her finger sharp, digging into my skin. "Don't join, you already ruined two things for me, and for sure my reputation in this school will surely be ruined if you join MY Netball team." Her eyes are dark and vile, her lips are in a thin line and her brows are arched with two gates leading to her hell. I won't allow her to.
"Whatever, I already signed, there's nothing you and your minions can do about it. Avery West." I sneer at her.
Everyone may think the Queen B of this school is everything, a goddess who is truly perfect and worth being with. But beneath that act, is a coward, a person who is feebly weak and unable to accept her defeat.
"There's only one victor Avery, one," I mutter under my breath, she doesn't need to know of this of course.
