"A ring box. A velvet ring box. And it was empty!"

Killia only paid minor attention to the prattling voices of the, well technically his rebellion soldiers. The making of curry had become instinctual for him now, so he was able to create said dishes and observe his surroundings at the same time.

However, he didn't need to be observant to know that something had some of his...gossipy teammates in a frenzy. Capt Chop Chop, the perverted paparazzi ninja in particular was scouring for news. He had already approached Killia himself, practically frothing at the mouth as he asked him the gargled question; "Ring box?!"

Killia hadn't the faintest idea in all the Nether Realms he was talking about. And when it came to that ninja, he'd sleep better not knowing. Thankfully, the idiotic ninja made the mistake of approaching Red Magnus with the same abrupt question, only for the other demon to immediately assume that he was actually demanding a boxing match. A challenge he readily accepted.

That resulted in the Overlord of Scorching Flame chasing Capt Chop Chop all over their pocket universe, more than insistent on their 'match'.

As long as it kept both of them busy, Killia wasn't about to interfere.

"Here, Boss. Found you that curry powder you wanted."

Killia shifted his attention from his observation and over to warrior Samuel. "Ah, thanks. Know what's going on?" he asked, more out of idle conversation than curiosity, as he retrieved the bottle of curry from him.

Samuel unexpectedly seemed hesitant. "...Maybe?"

That caught Killia's attention. He glanced over at the warrior and arched an eyebrow. "Maybe?"

Samuel didn't answer. His gaze was fixed on their surroundings. Searching for something. No, searching for someone. Someone who had virtually began stalking him, taking photos of him from afar the moment they met. Someone Killia himself wouldn't defend if Samuel decided to beat the utter crap out of him one day.

"Capt Chop Chop is being chased by Red Magnus," Killia abruptly explained as he stirred the curry idly. "He's a bit busy right now, you could say."

That put Samuel at ease immediately, evening prompting him to sigh and then mutter under his breath, "I hope he catches him..."

Killia peered at his companion from the corner of his eye. He noted that Samuel was toying with his left hand. Rather, his left ring finger. Even though he wore his gloves, it was telling that he was running his thumb over something that was hidden beneath the material.

A ring, perhaps?

"Ah, so it's yours then?"

Samuel looked at his hands before he purposely dropped his left hand to his side and raked his fingers his others through his hair. "Ah...yeah."

"Vince?"

"Who else?"

A half smile made its way to Killia's lips. "Of course."

Martial artist Vince was a good guy. Dedicated, skilled, a little too honest at times. And incredibly stubborn. Especially when it came to Samuel. Though, he had heard (usually unwittingly or against his will) that Vince had to convince Samuel that his feelings for him were real as the warrior found it difficult to accept that someone would actually want to be with him.

Killia didn't know much of Samuel's background. Why he was the first to willingly join the Rebellion Army when it was first form. He didn't talk about himself much at all, and Killia didn't see the right to ask. He was friendly and a skilled fighter. To the point where he was a little too self-efficient, not that Killia had the right to chide him.

Well, that wasn't important. He had to admit that it was nice to know that Vince had finally convinced Samuel of his intentions.

"Commitment?" Killia found himself asking before he could reconsider.

Samuel flushed lightly. "F-for now, I guess. Maybe after the war we could make it...official or something."

After the war...

Killia hadn't given much thought as to what he would do after the war. What he would do when he achieved vengeance against Void Dark. What would happen to the Rebellion Army after everything was settled. What would happen to his...friends?

"If it's an engagement ring, then we need to throw an engagement party!"

Upon the loud declaration from a fellow Rebellion soldier, Killia quickly glanced over in Samuel's direction. And found the warrior absolutely horrified at the notion. Killia resisted the urge to release an amused snort when Samuel sharply turned to look at him, still terrified.

"Do not tell anyone," Samuel both pleaded and warned.

Killia held back a smirk. "You have my word." Not that he could blame the warrior for being terrified. This lot in charge of a celebration? Unmitigated chaos.

With the gossip still focused on the discovery of an empty ring box, Samuel abruptly excused himself and fled. Likely in search of Vince. And Killia turned his own attention back to his cooking. As he looked upon the softly steaming self-made recipe, his own thoughts returned to what he would do after the war had ended. Which could be days from now. Or centuries. However long, there were to be a day where he and his companions could finally breath a sigh of relief.

He would...have to consider his options after the war had ended. Until then, he would make his curry and keep a watchful eye on his companions. To make sure that they, too, will have something to think about after they find peace.
