Secrets
Hi peoples, I'm back with a new story.
------------------------------------------------
This is happening too soon. I never thought that the Fire Moon would come so quickly. This is actually happening, it's actually happening.
What you are seeing is the mind of one the one and only, prestigious and composed Hiashi Hyuga, falling apart.
No, a better way to describe this is completely shattering, but being who he is he must stay calm- even though that is virtually impossible.
Looking to the setting sun getting ready to step down from its pedestal in the sky and surrender it to the moon, Hiashi inwardly cursed. He didn't have much time, 2 hours tops. Frowning, he snapped his fingers as his personal assistant, Nachi Hyuga, rushed to his side waiting for a command. Hiashi turned his head to his left and uttered a simple command.
"Summon Hinata and tell her to meet with me and tell her to pack up her stuff, only what is necessary."
Nachi's eyes scrunched up in confusion, but before he could find space to question why Hiashi narrowed his eyes and finished his sentence,
"now."
With that, Nachi was gone in a blink, headed towards Hinata's room, leaving Hiashi alone with his thoughts. Which ended up with them leading him to think about his late wife and a mysterious man that he's only ever met once and could never forget, I mean, he nearly killed his lover.
Ryaui. (Pronounced Ri-oo)
-Flashback-
"Stay away!" a 19-year-old Hiashi shouted while deflecting a multiple senbon heading toward him and his girlfriend with a kunai.
The man just snarled and took out a sword in response and pointed it at them-no- at Hikari. He then charged forward with a killing intent and resentment in his eyes, for who though, Hiashi will never know, for it wasn't directed at any of them.
Before this all happened, he an Hikari were heading back from the Summer's Eve Festival. He knew it was weird to keep a weapon on him at such an occasion but his father always taught him and Hizashi 'never leave yourself unarmed and open for attack'. And thank Kami for that.
"She can't continue to live! She must perish for the world to continue!" the man continued running toward Hikari, blade at the ready.
Looking to his girlfriend he saw not fear but dread. What was going on in her mind was a mystery. Although it didn't take long for it to be deciphered.
"You know exactly why!" The man roared, "She doesn't belong here, she shouldn't even be here!"
Before Hiashi could cut in to defend his girlfriend verbally and physically, she spoke up, "Stop this madness Ryaui."
The man now given the name of Ryaui stopped his pursuit and chuckled, which soon turned hysteric. "MADNESS!?" He suddenly stopped laughing and became grave. Putting his sword back into its scabbard, his face became grim.
"Lady Hikari, Queen Opal is dying."
Hikari's face suddenly became solemn and her eyes started to tear up.
"Who's Opa-" Hiashi tried to ask but he was cut off.
"How?" Hikari finally spoke, "How is this happening?" her face began to resemble Ryaui's as she stared him down with tears starting to get ready to fall.
Kneeling down, Ryaui continued, "Your sister fell ill upon giving birth and we can't find a cure."
Hikari was now shaking vividly as she tried to keep her tears in check. Stepping closer to the man Hikari finally let the tears fall, but her eyes became pleading, "Please tell me the child is the one to save us."
Hiashi didn't know what to do, but he simply stepped next to Hikari and decided to put the pieces together himself. Ryaui dared to look into Hikari's eyes and continued, "I'm sorry milady, but he's not."
"How is that possible?" Hikari responded, "The prophecy clearly states that the mother of the chosen one shall get sick because of the birthing."
Ryaui's face became serious as he replied,"We know. The Royal court believes that someone tried to poison her in order to keep her from giving birth to the child. But to our luck, it didn't kick in until after the birth."
Hikari's tears were now gone and replaced with rage, "To our luck? My sister is not only going to die but she didn't even give birth to the one to protect our people! H-how could y-y-you say th-tha-" She was now choking on tears that formed their way back up.
"I'm so so sorry my liege," Ryuai said with a single tear now falling down his face, "for your sister and trying to kill you but-but- if you died you couldn't give birth to a child who is now guaranteed to be the chosen one and HE won't come trying to kill them. But it was foolish of me for the prophecy is always correct and its inevitable to change it."
Hiashi was still utterly confused but he would not give up and help Hilari even though he literally knew nothing about what they were talking about.
"Hiashi," his attention was now focussed on him as he watched as Hiashi looked up at him with a face that clearly said 'how do you know my name' but didn't speak, "in order for us to defeat him you must listen to me." Ryaui continued, "Your child shall be given to me on the day of the Fire Moon, you will know if they are the one if an unnatural Fire Moon appears upon their birth. Once the day that comes, your child is to be given to me so I can take her away to training and see if they were bestowed the gift."
"But how can I just give you my child? How can I trust yo-" He was silenced by a trembling hand on his shoulder. Hikari.
"If I must give away our child in order for them to save my people I will, or you will. Either way, please do this for me." Her eyes were now pleading as she was looking at him while his were hit with realization.
Queen Opal. Sister. My people. Was Hilari a princess? Finally understanding the graveness of the situation Hiashi nodded. Ryaui handed him a scroll once he saw that he was calm. When Hiashi opened it, he was faced with a blank piece of paper.
"Where are the words?" He questioned.
"They will show up on a Fire Moon, natural or unnatural." Ryaui answered, "Goodbye princess."
With that Ryaui faded from view.
"Let's go back Hiashi," Hilari said as she walked ahead of him and back to the festival.
-End of Flashback-
Sitting at his desk in his empty office, Hiashi was impatiently tapping his feet waiting for his daughter. He didn't know when Ryaui would show up he just knew. Hiashi head whipped up when he heard a soft knock at his door. "Enter." He simply said as his eldest and only daughter, Hinata walked in with a small backpack and a questioning look on her face.
"F-father?" She questioned as her eyes looked at anything but him.
"Look at me," He said annoyed with her lack of confidence.
Whatever Ryaui has in mind, Kami let it help Hinata's confidence, he inwardly prayed. Looking into his daughter's eyes he tried to find a way to explain all of this to her. Sighing he cleared his mind and decided to just speak.
"Hinata, you shall be leaving the village tonight to under the wing of one of my old friends. I honestly have no idea what he plans to do with you but it is of the utmost importance. Be prepared for you shall not be coming back for a while."
Hinata was shocked, no, not shocked, perplexed. Her father, her father, the great Hiashi Hyuga has never been unsure of anything in all her days. Now out of nowhere, he was telling her not only to leave the village but go under the care of some man that he wasn't even sure he would do with her. Does he really not like her that much? Does he despise her enough to let her go just like that? Hinata was now tearing up as she looked at her father for a sign of regret but saw none. Just when she was about to give up her hope she felt to strong arms wrap around her. Looking up she saw that it was none other than her father
"Be safe, Hina. And promise that you'll come back to me."
Hiashi was now letting small tears fall from his eyes. Seeing this behavior from her father Hinata couldn't help but be surprised as wetness fell onto her hands, from her own tears.
"I pro-"
Before she could continue she was gone, taken away by a strange man with platinum blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail, to a strange place. It all happened so fast that she didn't even realize that they were flying. Looking down below she saw her father simply nod in understanding, the last tear falling down his.
Goodbye father.
