Welcome to Chapter 4 : Colors !

Colors are important! Colors are everywhere, the world will be dull without them. We have to be grateful for our healthy eyes to be able to see color. There are others out there who aren't fortunate enough to feel this blessing.

I want to know your opinions on a topic so familiar and so regularly discussed. I love art, and hopefully you do to.

1 ▪︎ What's your favorite color?

My favorite color currently is Rose Gold

2 ▪︎ Has your favorite color changed as you've grown older?

Yup, there was a period in time that I was indecisive and I didn't have a favorite color.

3 ▪︎ Do you like light or dark colors better?

I honestly like lighter colors better, esprcially pastels.

4 ▪︎ What is your favorite color combination?

Purple and Yellow is just so pleasing to my eyes ❤

5 ▪︎ Do you have a color that you hate? If so, what is it? Why do you hate it?

I don't really hate any colors. When you grew up drawing and studying art, you realize how each color really helps supplement what is lacking in other colors.

6 ▪︎ What color clothes do you like to wear?

Looking at my closet, I have a ton of black but I really like wearing pastel pink.

7 ▪︎ What colors do you think look good on you?

For some reason, I like how I look in green and yellow. Those colors compliment my skin tone the most.

8 ▪︎ What color shoes do you like to wear?

I have a lot of black shoes but I like yo wear beige, brown or gold sandals and white running shoes.

9 ▪︎ What do you think is the strangest color for clothing?

All colors can suit everybody but I feel like the color grey is just too dull for clothing. I have a few pairs of grey shirts and I really don't like how some of them look.

10 ▪︎ What do you think is the strangest hair color?

No matter what people say, I just can't like green hair dye. Maybe a darker green can work but a light green just looks weird to me. Unless you half dye it with a natural color like brown. Jacksepticeye pulls off green hair well.

11 ▪︎ Do you personally know anyone who has dyed their hair a strange color? (an unnatural hair color such as blue or multiple shades?)

Nothing too strange yet. I've met people who dyed their tips purple. Other than that, I usually see natural hair colors.

12 ▪︎ What color ink do you like using the most?

I usually use black because of how neat it is but I really love writing in blue. It stands out when I'm writing notes for class.

13 ▪︎ What is the color of the bedspread on your bed?

It changes of course but right now it's a mix of green and yellow. It was one of the newly washed ones okay?

14 ▪︎ What is the color of your bedroom wall?

Right now, my bedroom wall is in orange.

15 ▪︎ What color are the curtains in your bedroom?

Like my bedspread, they also change but right now, I have red curtains.

16 ▪︎ What color toothbrush do you have? Does everyone in your family use a different color toothbrush?

Mine is a mixture of black and pink. All of my family members has a mix of black and another color. My toothbrush is always pink, my sister's is blue, my mom's is green and for my dad, well he doesn't really live with us right now since he works far from our home but I usually notice he uses red toothbrushes when he visits.

1 ▪︎ Do you think colors affect your mood?

No, the situation, the people or the surrounding affects my mood. However, one exception is if everyone is wearing all black, I would immediately somber down.

2 ▪︎ How does red make you feel?

Red actually makes me feel brave. The only times I wear or use red is when I'm feeling a bit brave.

3 ▪︎ How does green make you feel?

It makes me feel calm. It really is a nice color for the eyes since it's not too bold or too dark.

4 ▪︎ How does blue make you feel?

Like green, it makes me feel calm too. That's the main reason why I like looking at oceans or staring at trees.

5 ▪︎ How does purple make you feel?

Purple makes me feel playful. I for some reason rarely use purple, I guess I lack that playful side to me. 🤔

6 ▪︎ How does black make you feel?

Black makes me feel rebellious because my family rarely like to buy things black. It makes me feel like a cool kid 🤣

7 ▪︎ How does white make you feel?

I was going to say calm like blue and green but then I realize white actually makes me feel empty. In good ways and bad ways. Bad, because it means my mind has blanked out and good because it means it gives me inspiration to create.

8 ▪︎ How does yellow make you feel?

Happy! Duh! Yellow had been my favorite color for the longest time before it changed. I just love yellow so much.

9 ▪︎ How does brown make you feel?

No offense to brown lovers out there (sorry mom), but brown just makes me feel dirty. I always associate brown with dirt. But it's good too because I love nature.

10 ▪︎ How does grey make you feel?

Grey makes me feel bored. I just find grey a boring color. I mean, it's nice to use once in a while, but I don't really get positive vibes from grey.

11 ▪︎ What do you think of orange?

I actually love orange. It's such a pretty color. Blue and orange are my second favorite color combination. It's just so nice to look at when it works.

12 ▪︎ What's the best color for a car?

Red is obviously the best color for a car. It's flashy and it gives an illusion that the car runs fast. But I personally like an orange or bronze car.

13 ▪︎ What do you think is the strangest color for a car?

Brown, because it makes the car look old and rusty.

14 ▪︎ What's the best color for a house?

A simple beige or white color is good enough for me. I don't like flashy colors for the outside of my house.

15 ▪︎ What do you think is the strangest color for a house?

A light blue. Just because I have yet to really see one and because it's just too eye catchy. It might lure in thieves.

16 ▪︎ What do you think is the best color for lens in sunglasses?

My sunglasses lens are like a pink and orange color. I really like how those colors reflect in the sunlight.

17 ▪︎ What color is money in your country?

We actually have different colors depending on the amount. We have orange, reddish pink, blue, green and purple.

18 ▪︎ Do you think animals can see color?

Yes, but only a limited color. I read once that dogs can only see blue, yellow and grey? I'm not sure, I didn't research so correct me if I'm wrong.

19 ▪︎ Do you dream in color?

I actually stopped dreaming for a while now. I rarely have dreams nowadays but from what I remember, they always were in color.

20 ▪︎ Have you ever seen a pet dog or cat with dyed fur?

In real life? No. In media? Yes. It would be cool to see one in real life but that's highly unlikely.

21 ▪︎ What color of paper you like the most if you want to write a letter to your friends or loved ones?

I usually write it in pastel pink, a light orange or a mint green. It usually depende on the occassion and this is coming from a person who likes to write letters to my friends and family members as gifts because I'm poor af.

22 ▪︎ What color is the most memorable in advertisements for you?

Red, because I usually see fast food ads and you know hoe much fast food restaurants love red.

1 ▪︎ Do you think a person's favorite color will always be their favorite color?

Nope, I experienced that first hand.

2 ▪︎ Do favorite colors change throughout life?

Of course, as we grow older, we see things in new persepctives and we understand the environment better.

3 ▪︎ Do you think different cultures have different meanings for colors?

Yes, but I think most of us have a general interpretation of colors.

4 ▪︎ Do you personally know anyone who is color blind?

No, I wish I could meet one though and actually talk about what they see through their eyes.

5 ▪︎ What colors do most color blind people not see?

I didn't research but I think differentiating red and greens, blues and yellows are the most common ones I've heard of.

6 ▪︎ Do you think the color blind people dream in color?

Probably, but in their own versions of the colors.

7 ▪︎ How would you compare the feeling you get watching a movie in black and white to watching it in color?

We obviously are in the new generation now so most of the shows we watch are in color. When I watch black and white movies, I genuinely feel bored at the same time classy. Idk, it feels more sophisticated watching black and white movies. Especially Noir movies.

For colored movies, I feel young and happy. It also will easily catch my attention. That's why I love watching cartoons and anime, so many colors.

8 ▪︎ What would you think of life without colors? How would life change? What things wouldn't change?

Like I mentioned above, I just feel likw life will be boring and dull. We wouldn't be able to appreciate how nice someone looks, or complinent their hair color or even worse, it will be harder to paint and draw. I think the idea of night and day won't change since we can easily distinguish black from white.

9 ▪︎ Have you ever tried to invent a new color? Try to think of a color that doesn't exist, one you'd like to see. What does it look like? (It is physically impossible to create a new color that isn't a shade of color that already exists, however the impossibility of it makes it good conversation, so please comment what you truly think)

I would want to make a color that can join the silver, gold and bronze team. Something mettalic and shiny looking. It would probably look more red though. I would probably name it Vivian or something like that. 😝

10 ▪︎ What does "a picture is worth a thousand words" mean to you?

For me, it means that a simple artwork or photograph can really tell you what it means or what it is about. Colors play a very important role in giving pictures meaning. As I have been editing grpahics and drawing for almost my whole life, I noticed how a single color can really change how the overall artwork looks. This is why I love studying colors and designing, I get surprised with the results every time.

11 ▪︎ What do you think about "pink is a girly color" and "blue is a manly color"?

I know this is a really random question but I genuinely want your opinions. I find it ridiculous how certain people can choose or like a limit of colors. Pink and Blue actually go well together not apart. That's the same for guys liking pink and girls liking blue. Who's to say both genders can't wear both?
