▪︎ 02 ▪︎ Numbers

Guys, I seriously cannot thank you enough for the support. This book has so much attention in just one chapter and it only talked about names. I'm really grateful for every single one of you and I hope you can help me improve this book to make this a better experience for all of us. ❤

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

Welcome to Chapter Two : Numbers!

What is the next common topic after names, well numbers duh! They're everywhere and they are always talked about.

So numbers are something most people really do not want to associate with, escpecially math. But they are still an important part of our lives and I am curious to know your opinions on them.

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

1 ▪︎ What year were you born in?

I was born in 2002

2 ▪︎ As you are reading this right now, how old are you? (You can skip this question if you are uncomfortable)

As of February 2020, I'm still 17. I'm going to turn 18 next month.

3 ▪︎ What is your favorite number if you have any? Why?

My favorite number is 2. I don't really have a meaningful reason but if you know Vocaloid, my favorite Vocaloids are Rin and Len which are represented by 02.

4 ▪︎ What is your current height? (You can use any metric system)

I am currently 5 feet and 2 inches. Which means I'm a 157 centimeters. Yes, I'm short 😥

5 ▪︎ What is your weight? (You can ignore this if you are sensitive to reveal your weight)

I currently weigh 54 kg which is 119.0 pounds.

6 ▪︎ As you are reading this right now, what is the date?

It's February 20, 2020 in my country.

7 ▪︎ What is your shoe size?

I never really thought about my shoe size. I just pick whatever fits and dip....Okay, so I just asked my mom and she said I'm a size 8 or 38, depending on the metric system.

1 ▪︎ Do you like math?

I might sound like a crazy person but I genuinely do like math. I'm not really a math wizard but I don't do so badly with math.

2 ▪︎ Do you have a number you are strangely always associated with?

If you don't undertand what that question means, my example would be the number 10. In my school I'm always Girl 10 or G-10. Most of the time, I would usually be in group number 5. Like every single time we have a group project, I'm always in the 5th group.

3 ▪︎ Do you have a lucky number? If so, what makes it lucky?

Nope, never realized one.

4 ▪︎ How about an unlucky number? If so, what makes it unlucky?

Nope.

5 ▪︎ If you are using a phone, tablet or a laptop right now, what is your battery percentage? Those using computers can skip.

My phone's battery is 87% since I just came back from school

1 ▪︎ Do you think number 1 was invented before number 0?

Yes, actually in my Philosophy class, 0 was never a concept until recently. That's why there is no Roman Numeral for 0. 0 as a number itself was never a concrete idea before, it was only used as a supporting number.

2 ▪︎ What is your opinion about lucky and unlucky numbers?

If you saw my previous answers, I didn't really have any because I never really believed them. To me, the idea about 13 being unlucky, or 7 being lucky is just too superficial. However, I won't degrade others who believe in them because in some way, numbers can be lucky or unlucky.

3 ▪︎ Do you think it's necessary to have letters in math?

I honestly hate any math problem that requires me to believe that a lettee has a number value. I know it's necessary for some math problems, but I sometimes just don't get it. I realize I have a love-hate relationship with math.

4 ▪︎ Do you honestly think math is useful in our everyday lives?

Some will say, when will I ever use the Pythagorean Theorem or do I really need to find Xs and Ys when I'm out in the city. Math is obviously useful and important as Math is technically everywhere. Name me a situation where there is no math involved, convince me because I genuinely believe math is like science.

5 ▪︎ Do you believe age is just a number?

Sometimes. Like my age doesn't define my maturity. I can be 15 years old and think more rationally than a 35 years old person. However, that doesn't excuse laws against predatorial behavior or irrational age sliding. I only favor age sliding if it's those with a real disorder. People who say they're 8 or 25 when they're not should just zip their mouth.

This is the end of chapter 2! Sorry if this one is a bit short and was heavily related to math. I kind of ran out of ideas. I swear I can generate better questions and topics, I just want to start slow. Don't worry, topics will get more interesting as time will go by.
