Rebel?!
Katherine
The sunlight glazed through the window curtains, my eyes slowly fluttered open. The sunshine shone on my face, causing my toes to curl, my fingers twitched and my eyes adjusted to the bright light. Suddenly, the urged to throw up appeared, and felt like my brain was about to burst all over the place. When I looked down, I noticed a boy's chest replaced my regular pillow. My eyes shifted up to see Drew's sleeping.
"Did I sleep with him last night?" I muttered to myself.
Before getting up, I rubbed my temples, trying to ease the tremendous headache. When the blanket disappeared from my body, I slowly realized I was naked. I reached down grabbing my undergarments and quickly put them on. I grabbed Drew's shirt from the floor and threw it at his face. He groaned, dragging the clothing to the floor away from his face. I reached for my shirt, throwing over my shoulders.
"Good thing I remember little of last night," I said, feeling two-toned arms wrapping around my waist.
"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it last night," he smirked, nuzzling his face into my neck. His lips attached themselves to my neck, sucking on my soft spot.
I bit my lip, trying to keep the moan escaping from my lips. "Get off of me," I grumbled, prying his arms from my waist. After buttoning my pants, I started walking to the kitchen and over to the refrigerator. When I opened the refrigerator, my hands reached for the orange juice. I opened my cabinet, grabbing a glass cup, and poured orange juice into it.
"You better put your pants on before Imogen comes down," I said, watching the boy quickly grabbed his clothing.
"Do you have anything that cures hangovers?" Drew asked, buttoning his jeans.
"Nope! But I've heard orange juice is good for it," I answered, bringing the juice to my lips and drinking it. He walked over to the island I was leaning on and took the drink from my grip. His lips curled into a smirk as he brought the drink to his mouth.
He placed the drink down on the counter, wrapping my waist and pulling me closer to him. He leaned in and started trailing small, slow kisses along the underside of my jaw, slowing down slightly under my chin and then continued down the other side of the jaw. He connected our lips, causing me to slowly opened my mouth, letting his tongue explore my mouth. My hands wrapped themselves around his neck as his hands went down to my butt, lifting me and placing my body on the counter.
"Woah," a voice said.
Drew pulled his lips away from mine, looking up that girl all flustered. I jumped off from the countertop, turning around and meeting Imogen's gaze.
"Oh hey, Imogen," I smirked, watching her eyes darting between Drew and me.
"Are you guys together now?" She asked.
"Nooo," I answered, grabbing the orange juice from the counter and chugging it.
Does she not know of a random hookup?
"Well, I'm going to back upstairs," Imogen said, disappearing down the hall.

IMOGEN
Finally, after several days here, I'm going to be free to go today. I went downstairs hoping to find some decent food but instead, I ran into Katherine and Drew swallowing each other. Not going to lie, I was quite shocked that Katherine moved on so quickly. They made the encounter more uncomfortable then it had to be.
I'm not his girlfriend, we are barely even friends especially after our conversation last night. I can't help but be confused like isn't Drew in love with me and Katherine is in love with my brother. Don't they think that can hurt us? I don't even think Drew could care about anyone but himself.
Not like I cared, but Rebel could! I don't want my boyfriend to get played by her. He deserved better if she keeps doing this to him. Ugh, I hated thinking about this it always stressed me out.
The stress immediately disappeared when Lucas popped into my head, making my heart leaped with joy. Today is his birthday and I'm so excited to spend my first day free from this hell with him. A gigantic smile was plastered on my lips because of my boyfriend who I dearly miss right now.
Our most recent date, was a study date when Lucas would try to study for hours and I would play footies with him, distracting him. It always ended up with a steamy makeout session which was what I always looked forward to.
I scrolled through the photos of my boyfriend, feeling my cheeks become warm with every photo. I groaned, playfully hitting my bed. "I miss him," I whined, missing the way his arms felt around mine. I pressed his number, sending him a quick message to remember to pick up the cake I ordered. I lifted myself up from the bed and walked down the stairs back to the kitchen.
"Katherine? Do you think I could leave now?" I asked.
"Sure go ahead also don't forget to tell Rebel he can burn in hell," She laughed, walking back to the couch.
I partically ran to the front door, pressing on Lucas's number.
"Hey, I'm on my way!!!"
---------
Finally, after an hour of walking, I reached Lucas's house. The dominant yellow, green, and beige colors, together with the light scent of flowers contributed to the soothing atmosphere. I waved at his elderly gardener who was watering all the plants. I used his pathway to walked up to his front steps. I rang the doorbell, waiting for a reply.
The door carefully opened, revealing his senior bulter named Maxwell. Before I could form any words, Lucas appeared telling Maxwell that it's okay.
"Happy birthday," I smiled, tightly wrapping my arms around him. He hugged me back immediately, my body melted in his arms feeling safe for the first time in a while.
"Thank you," he said, placing a kiss on my cheeks. "My mother sent Brennie to pick the cake but dropped it on the way in."
"Oh, well, then we could always just make one," I suggested, my hands still connected to his neck and his hands on my waist.
"That would be fun. As long as you're with me," he smiled, placing another peck on my cheek that was already burning.
After entering his house, Lucas led me down the small hall leading to the kitchen. His kitchen was spacious and decorated in white, making it seemed clean. Lucas told the other butlers to take a break for the day, leaving the room empty for them. He reached into his cabinet taking out a cake box and placing it on the counter.
I inspected the box, reading all the directions, and waiting down all the ingredients. After writing them all down, I searched through his refrigerator for each ingredient and asking Lucas for the one's I couldn't find. Lucas was able to get the bowls and pots ready and set the oven to preheat.
I used two separate bowls, one for liquids and other for the solids. I planned to pour the flour while Lucas took care of the sugar. Lucas playfully threw sugar at me and grabbed a handful of flour, chugging it at my face. I gasped, grabbing several eggs and attacking him with them. He then filled a bowl with water, throwing it at me and drenching me. "Oh my god!" I hissed, feeling the hairs at the back of my neck rise. "I'll get you back for that!
Suddenly, my body tingled, the feel of his frame leaning on me as his arms wrapped around my waist. Heart rose from my stomach to my chest and my heart definitely skipped a beat as Lucas's lips were closing in. The smell filled my nostrils to the point of near brain death. He was so close. That was it -- at that very moment his lips brushed over mine like a wave of warmth and all my body reacted to him instinctively. My toes curled, my eyes zeroed in on his, his smell even more hypnotic. The taste of him... it silenced my thoughts and made me want more.
Abruptly, the kitchen door swung open. "I'm so sorry Master Lucas to bother you," Maxwell said, keeping his gaze away from us. "Lady Brennie was able to find a new cake for you."
"Good! We ruined this cake too," Lucas laughed, removing his hands from my waist. His cheeks were flustered, probably my cheeks were too. "Maxwell I told you not to call me master. It feels weird coming from you."
"I'm dearly sorry Mas- I mean Lucas," he answered, bowing down before exiting the room.
"Should we clean?" I asked, looking at the polished floor covered in food.
"We should probably take a shower first then come back to clean," he suggested, picking up the dishes and placing them into the sink. I helped by placing the rest of them into the sink. Lucas led me upstairs to his room, handing me a towel and his clothes.
--------
We spent most of the afternoon cleaning up the mess we caused. Either way, I wouldn't want to clean a room with anyone else. After we sang happy birthday to him, we had another mini cake fight. I glanced at my phone, noticing how late it was.
"I should get going," I said, my lips formed into a pout.
'You're right, I'll have Maxwell take you home. It's going to get dark soon," Lucas said, placing a kiss on my forehead making my heart leaped from my chest.
He walked me to his garage, opening the car door for me. "Here milady," he laughed, his smile was tugging on my heartstrings.
My heart was pounding like a million trillion beats a minute as we stood there in silence. He bent his head down and pressed his lips against mine, and I felt a jolt of surprise. And I kissed him back, open-mouthed, soft-lipped. He placed his hand on the back of my head, and he stroked my hair in an affectionate way.
----------
The sun was just setting so the sky was a beautiful orange-reddish color. The trees were still leafless but starting to grow again along with the flowers on the ground. Soon enough spring will arrive in full bloom. Today has been the greatest day in a while, every moment I spent with him was magical.
Maxwell parked in front of my house. "Here you go!" he chimed.
"Thank you!" I answered, opening the door and getting out. "Have a safe night."
I walked up to my incredibly decorative porch, my fingers lingering on the colorful decorations. Opening the front door, to see Frankie and Rebel on the couch together laughing.
"Oh, Frankie, I forgot you were staying here?" I asked, unzipping my sweater and dropping it on my armchair.
"Thank god you're back!" She squealed, dashing up to me, and hugging me. The hug was so tight I struggled to breathe but I loved every second of it. After she released me, Rebel came up to hug me too. I placed my head on his shoulders, rubbing his back assuringly. It felt soothing being able to be around my family again.
"Wait how do you know? Besides aren't you glad to have your best friend living with you," Rebel said.
"Of course I doo! Who wouldn't love to live with their best friend!" I exclaimed. "I'm pretty tired tonight so I'm going to go brush my teeth and head to bed."
"Yeah, you're right. Movie night is over sorry Frankie," Rebel said, following me up the stairs.
I entered my the bathroom which was connected to Rebel's room. I'm surprised we have yet to walk in on each other but I'm not complaining. I heard Rebel's knob jiggled, struggling to open it and causing my heart to accelerate. Finally, the knob turned, revealing Rebel entering with a small face towel on his shoulder. I exhaled, feeling relieved that it's my brother instead of an assassin.
Rebel went to the sink next to me and started brushing his teeth. After I finished brushing my teeth, I walked back into my room and changing into plaid blue and green pajama. I walked back into the bathroom, searching for Lucas's necklace. It was sitting by the sink, my hands glided against my necklace, making me feel close to him again. I exited my bathroom and walking back into my room.
"Oh my god," I gasped, my hand went straight up to my chest. "You scared me. How did you even get in?"
Somehow, Drew was sitting on my body, looking almost lifeless. "Just wanted to make sure your okay," Drew slurred. "I'm doing my job."
The aroma of vodka wafted through the room brutally attacking my nose."Have you been drinking?" I asked, fighting the urge to gag from the smell.
"A little," He laughed, motioning with his hand.
"And your upset that's not a good combination," I replied.
He's never good drunk but when he's a depressed drunk it's even worse.
"I'm not upset. I need to have actually emotions to feel that," he answered, barely keeping his eyes open.
"Come on Drew that's a lie. You care," I sighed, trying to read his melancholy expression.
"You're surprised that I thought you could love me. You can't imagine that I believe that you'd want to," He asked, staring deeply into my eyes.
"Drew I-"
"That what we've been doing here means something," he rubbed his hands on his thighs. "You're the liar Imogen!" he accused me. "There is something going on between the two of us and you know it!" he jolted up from the bed, slowly walking towards me. "You're lying to me and you're lying to Lucas and most of all you're lying to yourself. I can prove it." He cupped my face, forcing our lips to connect. The second they connected, it felt wrong and mechanical. My hand immediately tried removing his hold on my face.
Finally, I was able to disconnect our lips. "Drew don't. . . What's wrong with you," I questioned him, watching his eyes soften against mine.
His hands were stroking my hair, trying to pull me closer to him. "Try lying about this," he whispered, trying to press his lips on me. My hands went up, blocking him from any entry. I'm not letting him get the upper hand of me again.
I placed my hands on his neck, trying to prevent anything else from happening. "Stop it. . . Drew come on! You're better than this!" I exclaimed, watching his softened expression changed into a lustful one.
"That's where your wrong!" he answered, roughly pulling my head towards me. My hands struggled holding him back but they kept pushing him back with all my strength. Gladly it was enough to hold him back but that only made him angrier.
"No, No, Drew. I care about you! Listen to me! I care about you," I said, wrapping my hands around his, trying to ease him before my next words leave my mouth. "I do but. . . it's Lucas. . . it's always going to be Lucas!" I confessed, feeling my eyes filling up to the brim.
"Imogen, what's going on in here?" My eyes shifted from Drew, meeting Rebel's concerned eyes exiting my bathroom. I used all my strength to force my hands out from Drew's grip.
"Nothing. It's okay Rebel just go back to bed," I said trying to avoid eye contact with both of them.
"No, it's not okay Imogen," Drew said.
My head turned towards him, feeling my heart racing out of my chest but not in a good way. My stomach was having an uneasy feeling.
"I'll make you feel the pain I felt," Drew whispered, his hand reaching into his pocket and taking out a knife. My eyes widened, trying to reach for the knife and take it out of his hands. However, Drew noticed and roughly pushed me sending my body to collapse down on the floor.
Drew held it up, dashing over towards Rebel and pinning him against the wall. He placed the knife right on his neck, putting pressure on it with every second.
"No Drew stop it," I cried out, trying to raise myself. The tears were overwhelming my vision but I couldn't hold the back. The wound slowly heals but since the knife was still there not that much.
"You deserves,"
"Drew!" I sobbed, stumbling over towards them.
"This!" Drew yelled, brutally slitting his throat, causing the blood to ooze from his neck. Drew plunged the knife into his stomach, several times and having blood spill all over the floor.
I was too late. . .
"No!" I shouted, my throat felt swollen rushing to catch Rebel from hitting the carpet floor. My eyes were stinging as I tried to contain all the waves of emotion trying to pour out. I reached the point where I can no longer control my breathing and choked on the air that I inhaled like a child trying to hold back tears.
Did I really watch my brother die in front of me? It's like my mother's death all over again but this time I could have done something. Maybe I should have lied to Drew, telling him that I want to be with him and he would have probably left Rebel alone. Instead, I didn't because what I said was the truth and it caused my brother's life. Indirectly this is my fault, isn't it? How am I going to manage without my brother; he was the only family I had left.
I shakily reached for my phone that was left on my bed, quickly dialing Lucas's phone number.
"Lucas," I heavily sobbed.
"Imogen, what's wrong?" his voice laced with concern.
"Dr-ew killed Rebel. I-i have no one," I sobbed, holding onto my brother's body as his soul slowly drained from his body.
"Imogen I'm coming right now!"
So sadly that's the end of this chapter. Who expected Rebel to die?comment down if you did. I kind of started tearing writing that since he's my favorite. But if you remember from the beginning of the book you will know the way Rebel can possibly come back. It has to do with him being Special..... Also, comment if you know or remember.
