Chapter 10
{Page 11}
Reunion

After a long moment of crying.
It passed, turning it already to the next day.

Tommy was so tired he accidentally fell asleep and they slept in the middle of the field, luckily they weren't attacked or anything.

Tommy continued to journey through the empty field, that leaded back to the forest.

Great.

"What?! This is a...!"
He touched the nearest tree possible to make sure it wasn't an illusion, it's real.

Tommy took his hand away miserably.

"Fuck this.."
Tommy muttered under his breath and looked at the huge trees around him.

He sighed and looked at Spark sadly who looked at him back.
"Sorry boy.."

Tommy leaned down to pat him on the head. Spark didn't mind, to Tommy's opinion.

They continued their walk, only more animals appeared. Squirrels, lots actually who tried to steal their berries.

They failed thanks to Sparks fire.

Another batch of animals came, this time them being birds, owls actually. Only they were silver, odd but normal if you live in a world of magic.

The owls...come and go?

They watch him and his surroundings and then fly away. Tommy thought it was because they got bored of him.

Spark enjoyed spitting flares at them, practicing his aim.
He even learned how to create small fireballs!

Tommy continued like this, the birds coming and going for a good few days.
He got used to it and he hoped the owls liked him, he is feeding them and sacrificing just a bit of food to the owls, thinking that they were hungry.

Tommy wandered around the forest, a bit desperate to escape this endless loop-hole.

He wanted to see people, he feels like he's grown old!

Well it's only been a few weeks since he left Skyecrest and now in the forest, sounds unbelievable but it's true.

~~~
It's now currently nightfall, and of course the "glow glow wolves" are back to attack them again.
Seems like they dislike Tommy and Spark a lot.
"Awwwwwh for fucks sake!!" Tommy swung his sword at them, trying to scare them away.
Today is not Tommys day.
Tommy was tired of the wolves repeatedly coming back and forth at them, snapping and growling trying to bite off their heads.
Spark, carrying the team, twirled around making a fire ring, classic yet powerful.
Tommy gave a victorious smirk at the wolves then at Spark.
The wolves whimpered at the flames but only the few, the rest seemed unaffected but are still hesitant to wether go in the fire ring they're in or just leave them for the day, Tommy hopes for the second option.
Tommy looked around again, making sure no wolf will secretly pounce on him or Spark, but he didn't need to worry anymore when Spark did a snarl and a sound of thunder flickered in the background.
'Lightning?!'
Tommy looked at the sky for a few moments, quite surprised then back towards the wolves.
"Yeah that's right Bitches! Get outta here!" Tommy yelled at the wolves, gaining confidence out of the lightning and holding his swords high in the air.
The wolves the dispersed, but the leader howled at Tommy and Spark, glaring at Spark actually.
Seems like there's competition.
Spark snapped at the leader, making it growl and turn away to the pack that's already running off.
Tommy whooped in victory, turning to a tree. It's weird how there's always trees for them to rest on, it's usually the owls that help him though, he really should thank animals.
Spark then trotted up to Tommy who leaned on one of Tommy's sides and closed his eyes. "Tired?"
He asked Spark, Spark responded with a sleepy yawn.
Tommy then yawned after.
"The contagious yawn.."
he muttered to himself, soon after he drifted into a peaceful sleep.
                                        ~~~

Another night passed peacefully, Tommy opened his eyes for another day and pushed Spark away gently, meaning to wake him up.

Spark jumped awake, thinking someone or something might attack them.
Spark was in his battle stance, he relaxed when he saw Tommy laughing at Spark.

After this, the owls were above them, just flying around, circling them.

A signal?

No one knows.

Spark spat out small fireballs at them, which missed but it was the thought that counts. Tommy stood up, ate a few berries and gave some to Spark.

"Right, according to this stick-"
Tommy showed it to Spark, he was confused and tilted his head a bit to the side.

"There's a village right about...." Tommy turned North, South?
Either direction.

"There!"
Tommy pointed where there was more trees. Spark tilted his head even more.

"See if we go that direction...I saw a stick that fell to the ground!"
Tommy tried to explain.
Spark nearly fell, due to his head tilting to the side too much.

Tommy smiled at Spark.
"We're almost outta here boy! Just a few more steps or more and we're at a village and then we can go to Vanilla Cove!"
Tommy says this proudly, about to pick up the basket.

Spark shooed him away and picked it up himself, showing he'll help.
Tommy gave a thankful smile at Spark and walked to where this supposed village will be.

                                        ~~~
It was near the night or something, it was dark but Tommy found a lead on where to go.
A path.
Due to his exhaustion though, he decided to take a break.
Tommy leaned on a tree, again, for the past few weeks sleeping near trees is his new habit?
He's used to it and so is Spark.
Spark sat beside him, they had a peaceful silence, just admiring the sky or looking at animals.
But some were lurking in the dark.
And like that, Tommy is on the ground, a wolf on top of him. The wolf growled at him, Tommy wanted to resist but he was too tired, he later there and looked beside him.
Spark was trying to defend himself but he was surrounded, there were more wolves than before, way more.
Spark couldn't attack all of them at once and if he did do his fire ring, Tommy can get burnt.
Spark had to stick with snapping and sending small flares and fireballs at them, there were unfazed, possibly making fun of Spark for being so "weak" at the moment.
Spark got bitten, again and again. Tommy couldn't just watch, he wanted to fight, but he can't.
He watched as the wolves took turns beating up or biting Spark, he heard the cries and whimpers of Spark while doing so.
Tommy wanted to just give up, die even. He couldn't stand the sight.
He heard the owls hoot at them.
'Wow, my last things to hear are hooting owls and wolves attacking Spark?'
Tommy thought, then he heard buzzing...odd.
He then heard a loud noise, a grunt maybe?
'What the fuck..?'
Tommy was too tired to open his eyes, but all he knows is he could've swore he heard his name.
Tommy swore under his breath, really annoyed that he couldn't have just stayed dead.
'Wait am I dead?'
Tommy thought, he wanted to open his eyes but really wasn't bothered to.
He felt pain everywhere. He shifted a bit and then opened his eyes a little.
Tommy saw a tree flowing with the wind, he blinked and opened his eyes a bit wider.
'This doesn't look like heaven..'
Tommy's eyes were now completely opened, he moved his head to one side then to another, good, his head isn't damaged.
Tommy lifted his head slightly, trying to see what's going on. He saw Spark, playing with a horse...?
Tommy was very confused on what is going on right now. Very.
Tommy wanted to speak but his throat was very sore, ever get that feeling when you swallow your throat hurts and you feel so dry?
Yup, that's what Tommy is feeling at the moment.
Tommy's vision was perfectly well though and he saw Spark and the horse approach a figure. He heard its voice vaguely.
But one sentence he heard perfectly.
"Is he awake?"
Tommy wanted to shut his eyes, but something just wanted him to bare with it and see what this human or kidnapper might have to say.
Spark ran up to Tommy, he gave a cheerful noise and licked his face all over.
The horse soon noticed this and gave a curious look to him.
Tommy feels very uncomfortable right now.
Then he saw the figure walking closer to him.
'No..'
*Step*
'It can't be..'
*Step*
"Tommy!" The voice called out and soon he felt weak at this point, it can't be..him?
The figure was hovering above him.
'"Bad?!"
Tommy gave a surprised look at Bad. Bad just gave a soft smile.
"That's a greeting, but you're alive!"
He praised, Tommy smiling with disbelief, who knew the BadBoyHalo would save his life?
Bad then walked away and came back with a cup, filled with water.
He gave the drink to Tommy and sat down beside him.
Tommy looked at the drink then at Bad. He took a small sip, it tasted heavenly. I mean, he never had fresh water for ages so he's highly grateful.
"Sad that it's me?"
Tommy nearly spat out the water he was savouring. He gave Bad an unimpressed glare and looked at what's around him again.
They're back in the forest, no path.
"...no it's just..."
Tommy didn't want to finish his sentence, he's just disappointed.
"You miss him...don't you?"
Tommy looked at Bad again.
"You fuck-"
"Language. And if you think I'm reading your mind, no. I just, know."
Tommy gave up at this point and grumpily continued to drink his water. Bad smirked slightly.
"Yeah I miss him."
Tommy said briefly after a long silence. Bad chuckled and nodded.
"Well we should get going."
Bad patted his back and walked away, going to the horse. Tommy gave a confused look.
"Is that Ash?"
Tommy glared at the stallion that grazed on nearby grass happily.
"Yes! You know him?"
"..we had our differences.."
Bad raised an eyebrow, though he didn't want to question the blonde.
"...ok..?"
———
"I just have one question Tommy." Bad looked at Tommy who followed him to his horse. They are walking, Bad said he knows the way back.
"Yeah?"
"Why?"
Tommy seemed confused by his response and raised one of his eyebrows.
"I mean...why did you leave?"
Tommy stayed quiet for a very long time, sometimes he would open his mouth to say something but shut it again.
"It's for your safety...honest. And I was stupid enough to think I could beat the dragon anyways..."
Tommy confessed his ideas, his stupid ideas.
"Besides I'll stop this journey. You can bring me back, I won't even complain on the way back"
Bad did a little sigh, this made Tommy frown even more.
"No it's just...never mind. Just don't die." Tommy looked at Bad. '
"What?!"
"I mean don't die. And if you do then it's all my fault you little muffin."
Bad playfully smacked  Tommy in the shoulder.
"And I won't tell anyone..."
Bad trailed off at the end.
"Something wrong?"
Tommy asked a little concerned for his friend.
"I won't tell anyone! But if you're in a lot of trouble then I gotta tell Skeppy, got it you?"
He says this in a motherly way. Tommy nodded.
"But why give me this...trust?!"
Tommy protested, he doesn't even believe in himself that he could finish this quest, let alone do it.
"I sense something...unique in you Tommy. Mark my words you'll be amazing one day." Tommy scoffed at him, Bad brushed it aside.
Unique? More like weird.
"Hey I gotta ask you something."
Tommy asked, Bad humming in response.
"I heard buzzing last time...what was that noise?"
Tommy asked, Bad smiled a little.
"You thought I was Tubbo?"
Tommy, embarrassed protested immediately.
"No! No! No! No! Not that little...the point is what was that noise!"
Tommy pouted at Bad.
"Alright, alright, those wolves are scared of bees for some reason, it's odd. Those wolves you were fighting were Starwolves. Powerful, increased intelligence and the ability to sense one another's powers. They must've sensed that Spark is a Kitsune so they wanted to kill him, the wolves love being the strongest and they want to keep it that way."
Bad explained to him.
"So that's why they kept attacking us!"
Bad nodded, agreeing with Tommys statement.
"Well we're back!"
Tommy realised they were back on track, out of the forest this time!
They were on a hill, and a village still very far away but you're still able to see it.
"Awesome! Thanks Ba-?!"
Bad rode off already on Ash.
"Take care Tommy!"
And then he was gone, just like that. Tommy was in shock for a moment until he noticed a bag near his feet.
A note was on it. It read;
To Tommy,
Food and supplies for the young warrior! Stay safe!
-BadBoyHalo
Tommy noticed another note written, much more scribbled than Bads.
I will kill you when you come back, stay safe you muffin and make as many memorable moments every day.
(P.S I had to call you muffin because I can't swear, Bad was with me)
-Skeppy
Tommy laughed at the end of Skeppys message, though was slightly upset when Tubbo didn't write anything.
"I'll meet you soon, don't worry guys."
He pocketed the note in his pocket, picked up the bag and then he set of to the village.
|Play the music now! If you want though! 🎶|
Tommy walked down the path, it was a perfect day actually. Perfect. Not too cold and not too hot, the breeze was fine and the birds were tweeting away.
Even Spark was in a happy mood.
But Tommy, Tommy was having these memories again.
Tubbo and his Mother this time.
His mother would always bring him and the dogs down to a field or anything open area to play in. He got those exact memories, he misses them.
Tommy looked around while doing so, admiring every single detail around him.
When he looked in front of him, someone was running to his direction.
The person running seemed happy, he wants that feeling. He misses that feeling of happiness.
The person got closer.
Tommy gasped.
He has to be imagining, he has to. This is all a dream, Bad was never there and he'll wake up soon. Spark poked him on the legs, this isn't a dream.
The person was still getting closer, Tommy stood where he was.
"..is it..?"
Tommy took slow steps, then he picked up his pace, he's running now, as fast as a cheetah, trying to gets its prey even. He's that eager to see if it's actually him.
"Tommy!!"
"Tubbo!!!"
They finally met, they were hugging, tears in their eyes. It was a sweet sight for Spark.
Tommy was crying, the smaller male (which he would never tell Tommy) was also crying.
"If this is a dream, I never want to wake up.." Tommy muttered, tears in his eyes.
"I..it's not a dream!"
They continued to cry not letting go, they didn't want to say it to each other, but they missed each other a lot.
They were still in each other's embrace, happy that they are finally with each other again, the double trouble, the bee duo, whatever you may call them.
Tubbo let go of Tommy and held out his pinky, tears still in his eyes. Tommy wiped his tears away.
"Promise we'll stay together and adventure always together? Side by side?"
Tubbo asked him, quite determined.
Tommys smile widened.
"Promise."
