Backstory: Her brother and her often fight, but at the end of the day they care about each other a lot. Sarah and Ponyboy are best friends because they are very similar, and they are both dreamers. They often watch sunsets together (As friends), and they tell each other everything. Johnny sometimes thinks that Sarah hates him because she gets really flustered and tongue tied around him, making it hard for her to talk to him. Obviously she doesn't hate him. Sarah also gets along well with Sodapop because she's a talker and he's a listener. However, she still listens to his problems as well.
