Plans...

Plans can sometimes be absolutely amazing or something that turns common sense to its knees.

As the last two targets in the entire game continuously move, no one daring to launch an attack.

*Crack*

The sound of wood bending could be heard throughout the entire garden but the players didn't even pay any heed to it, until...

"What?! The barrier is going down!"

Kurami exclaimed as the barriers went down, letting the two ships be on the same ground.

"What's this?"

Sort complained to Kaira as she scrambled something from her pockets.

"Wait, please be patient, Sora-chan"

While Shiro continued to pilot the last ship, Sora carefully observed what Kaira was doing.

"Aha!!!"

She pulled out a small cube from her pocket.

"There we go..."

She threw the small cube at the center of the battle.

"A beast that kills without mercy, you have faced. Remember...there is a fine line between friend and foe"

Kaira said in a mystifying voice. Everyone was at shock as soon as the thought that they had to work together appeared.

"So...you two want to team up?"

Kurami had a small grin as she looked towards Blank.

"....This is a game of last man standing. The one who loses...loses, and that will be you...."

Shiro explained, her face was as emotionless as usual.

The 'water' suddenly splashed around the entire board. An enormous shark appeared, it was the size of a 4 decker ship and moved as fast as their own ships.

"What?! How are we supposed to dodge that thing!!!"

Kurami exclaimed as started to have a look of panic in her face. Her elven friend wasn't looking too good either. The only thing that kept her together was the thought that Blank would loose sooner than them.

"One last tip!"

Kaira happily announced as she gave a modest smile.

"It will only attack when you least expect it, trust me."

She gave a wink before the enormous shark submerged under the board. Like an actual shark from a horror moved, it had its dorsal fin just above the water, as it lurked below.

Sora looked at how panicked the enemy was.

The two ships continued to move around the entire board like nothing happened, although they would constantly avoid the shark since an attack from it would be a gameover.

Its been easily over 10 minutes since the shark was released and nothing special actually happened.

The last two ships were still endlessly swerving around the board and the two teams there were filled with anxiety.

*Cough*

A loud cough could be heard from Sora. Everyone looked at him, with the exception of Kaira, she had a pillow on her head as she slept under the board which she snuck into after she found the game boring.

"If you're too stupid to understand, the solution is rather simple..."

Kurami batted him an eye but didn't pay to much attention to him.

"That shark...will absolutely not attack"

"Oh, really?"

Kurami asked with a tinge of sarcasm in her voice. Sora only responded to her with a nod.

"Well...you have anything else to say?"

Sora shook his head and continued to smile as he watched the battlefield. Nothing much happened after a few more minutes.

Spectators were starting to yawn as neither the players or the shark were willing to attack.

*Kurami's P.O.V*

Its been a couple of minutes since anyone spoke a word. I was honestly getting bored. I was just waiting for the shark to make the next move since no one was willing to.

I looked over to Fil, who gave me a reassuring smile. That's right...what I'm doing is right. Us Imanity cannot survive on our own. We need help from other races and I am willing to be a bridge between Imanity and the elves.

Now that you think of it...the shark doesn't really attack. It would probably attack the moment one of us stops moving.

Kaira was too smart to implement something that is of no use...but what...

I looked towards Sora and he face me with that ever confident smile, whilst his little sister manned the controller and looked completely sucked into the game. She wasn't one to lose focus in such an unpredictable game.

I did a quick glance and Kaira was nowhere to be seen. This is strange.

"You, where's the game master?"

I asked the referee who looked rather nervous.

"I-I don't know.."

"Looks like she got bored...since this is a battle of endurance. The first team to slow down, loses."

Sora declared, I wasn't able to sense a hint of nervousness from his voice. Was he really that confident in that little girl?

I blow down a big sigh and said.

"I guess you're right...that thing would never attack it's just a big distra-"

I wasn't able to finish my sentence when the enormous wooden shark jumped out from under my ship, eating it whole.

*Winner-Blank*

Glowing letters sat on top if their heads as Sora continued to laugh.

"H-Hey! Y-You cheated!"

"How?"

He shot me a sly grin as he patted the little girl's head.

"But the shark! Why did it not attack you! We were doing the same exact routine!"

The people who were watching sided with me, of course. A couple even threw out objects at Blank. The referee looked nervous as he glanced from left to right. Geez does he even have any use in this situation?

*Yawn* "What's this rucus all about?"

Kaira seemed to appear out of nowhere as she continued to scratch her eyes.

"Hey! You game master! Where were you! Disqualify those two already!"

A man who seemed to have.come from a noble family protested.

"Huh? Disqualify? Ha! So those two solved my puzzle"

"Puzzle? Isn't this a fighting game?"

I was starting to get irritated to this weird game.

"Remember what I said "It will only attack when you least expect it to"? You should have taken my words literally"

"So you mean you used magic so the moment I didn't expect it to attack it would attack..."

I bitterly said as I bit my lips. I wanted to cry but I couldn't do it in front of all these people.

+Time Skip+

*Author's P.O.V*

After the coronation and a big speech Sora and Shiro laid down their beds.

"How was it?"

Kaira asked at the two kings.

"Huh? You're still here? I thought you said we'll be parting ways?"

"Now that you think of it...leaving an entire race in the hands of two NEETs doesn't sound that good of an idea"

"It's good....Steph, makes us cookies"

Shiro was now playing her PSP and continued to munch on cookies made by the red haired girl.

"Well, I'll be visiting here quite often. I just need to see someone I haven't seen in a long time"

"You're really leaving?"

Sora sounded a little sad as he looked at the silver haired girl.

"Aww! Don't worry Sora-chan! I'll be alright!"

She seemed to have teleported as she quickly had Sora in her arms.

"Hmm? What's this?"

Kaira's tone seems to have changed into that of a seductress.

"Your heart....I can hear it beat so loudly....."

She was immediately pushed off by Steph whom nobody noticed when she came in the room.

"Kaira-sama! What are you doing to Sora?"

She gave out a lustful smile as she touched her lips and said:
"I was just getting to the good part" before turning back to her regular, playful tone.

"Goodbye you three!!! See you guys soon!"

She ran out the window which to no one's surprise she had already vanished.

Sora gasped for air as he tried to suppress the blush that was still on his face.

Sorry that I haven't uploaded in a while. I did something really stupid and had to pay the price and a friend of mine had his birthday and I had to prepare a gift for him which was a drawing of his favorite character Illya from the fate series. Obviously I'm a good friend so I decided to draw her death scene.
