Now on with the story...

*Sora's P.O.V*

It was about 5:00 AM when me and Shiro ran out of instant ramen. Both of our SIM cards had expired and the internet was down for the time being.

This is usually the time when Blank actually takes a rest.

The sound of our stomachs growling told us 'No, you need to eat'.

Its been a while since we've been to the outside world. A couple people were eying us. Probably because of Shiro. Shiro wore her blue sailor uniform as usual and her natural white hair wasn't helping the situation. Thank god there were so few people out in this time of the day.

"Nii, food..."*rumble*"

"Yeah, yeah I know"

We arrived at the convenient store. The store was pretty much empty except for a blonde girl in the register. I already told Shiro to only pick up stuff we needed.

"Oi! Shiro! What's this?"

I pointed to the basket containing a bag of cookies. They were an expensive brand too.

"Nii, I need them to grow.....up"

She looked depressed as she looked down on what she actually wanted to 'grow'.

I sighed in defeat but instead of straight out agreeing, I grabbed a smaller bag of cookies of the same brand and flavor. I heard no complaint from her so I carried on.

Just as we arrived at the cashier a person wearing gray jacket stood behind us. I was a bit surprised but kept it to myself because when we came in it was empty and I never heard a bell ring, as I looked back at the door there was clearly a bell on it. I guess the hunger was taking its toll.

I reached into my pockets to find a 500 yen coin. I ran the numbers through my brain and clicked my tongue.

"Tsk. Umm...Shiro do you happen to have another 300 yen?"

"Nii, I gave you all my money.....stupid Sora."

"Hey, can you guys buy everything you brought here?"

The clerk looked at us with an annoyed look. She had laziness reeking off her voice.

I suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder. I looked back and it was from the person who wore a gray jacket. She had her hood down this time. She had long silver hair and bright red eyes, she looked cute.

I feel Shiro pulling me away from her, forcefully.

".......Stupid Sora...."

She silently muttered.

"Umm....if you two can't pay for those I can pay the 300 yen"

The girl with the jacket happily told us. As she tilted her head waiting for an answer.

At that time I was a bit confused if it was a mad joke or my hunger was already eating away at my sanity. I mean...A CUTE GIRL JUST ASKED IF SHE COULD PAY FOR OUR FOOD!!!

"Sure..."

"........"

Shiro stood there quietly. I knew that in a normal situation she would object but this time it was her cookies that made the bill that high.

She did as she said and paid the missing 300 yen. Me and Shiro decided that we better head home to check if the internet was up again.

"Thanks..."

"Ha?! Those weren't 'free'"

She had a playful smile in her face, I could tell that what she said was a joke, to an extent.

She handed her basket to the clerk behind her. She turned towards us with a goofy smile. Its too early to tell if this girl is an airhead or not.

"As I said...the 300 yen I paid for isn't free...you two will pay for it...with a game!!! Please play with me!"

That proves it...she's an airhead.

I was starting to turn back and walk.

"Let's play hide and seek...we hide and you'll try to find us."

I said in a monotonous voice.

"Wait! Come on! Just one game!"

"Look.....its not that we don't want to repay you. Its just that we don't like wasting time. If we meet again I'll pay you back. I promise."

I said as me and Shiro have already turned around and have already reached the door.
We didn't want to waste time to fight such a simpleton.

"That would be 3500 yen"

We heard the clerk said to her.

"Don't worry.....Blank we'll surely play next time."

Me and Shiro froze as she emphasized the word 'Blank'.

"Huh? What do you mean....."

I turned around to find the store empty again.

*rumble*

*rumble*

"Nii, the store.....why is it shaking?"

I guess we were starving already and started seeing things.

I grab Shiro's cookies and handed it to her.

That girl.....was she real? That was weird....well I guess skipping breakfast, lunch and dinner didn't work out too good, huh?

I looked at the plastic bag and asked myself. If she wasn't real...where did the extra 300 yen come from?

Those were the thoughts that circled in my head as we went back home. I was kissing the floor and walls shouting: "Ahh!!! I'm never going back there again! There's too many weird stuff on the real world."

"Nii, net was fixed"

She pointed at our router that was glowing with all greens.

Shiro was already setting up the monitors and the hardware. While I went to the kitchen. It was as dirty as our room. The fridge was basically empty but we still had one. I grabbed a kettle and quickly boiled some water.

+Time Skip+

*Author's P.O.V*

20 hours have passed already and the two of them were still at full power. Sora had a big smirk on his face as he noticed that their opponents were hacking. It wasn't the first time they dealt with those kind of people. A lot of people were hacking these days but Blank has still won and this day was not going to be any different.

A giant fire ball was launched towards Sora's character. It was a high level spell but the opponent managed to spam it.

It only made him furious as none if his attacks actually landed a hit.

Shiro quickly got to their enemies back and with a quick slash he flinched back.

-0 Damage-

A bright red text stated as Shiro quickly backed off realizing they had to do that.

All of Blank momentarily retreated. Sora and Shiro ran until the edge of the map.

-Just accept your fate scrubs-

As the man chanelled his finishing blow. Blank suddenly split into two groups.

Shiro's characters went to the left while Sora's charged at him.

He released his spell a little early as he partially realized their goal.

They were going to push him off the map.

It was the only way to kill an invincible player as the void will instantly kill any player in it, regardless of armor, health and status effect.

He tried to flee but a player from Blank caught his movements with a high level bind. And pulled back the hacker. But the other 3 were nowhere to be seen.

As the duration of the chain was about to end one of Shiro's character had used the same spell from earlier and he was chained again.

This was one of the major disadvantages when playing against a group alone. Being overwhelmed by well timed disables.

They were at the edge and the man controlling the hacked account was furiously tapping his jump key.

1.5 sec

The chains were already nearing their duration when the one holding onto the chains was now on the edge of the map.

1.0 sec

He jumped!

.7 sec

He dragged the man down with him.

.4 sec

"At least I was the first person to ever kill one" the man proudly thought.

Out of nowhere Shiro came out and also jumped down.

Sora was too far down to be able to get back to solid ground with any of his skills.

0.0 sec

The chain snapped.

Sora used his dash skill but he was just halfway to where he needed to be. But Shiro was also there. She grabbed his hand and dashed again. When they still weren't able to make it another unit of Blank jumped down. Grabbing the two falling characters and dashed upwards.

They made it safely...

(Back in the real world)

*Sora's P.O.V*

I grabbed my cup of instant ramen and Shiro did the same.

As we slurped down our meals I quickly grab the controller as a message popped up.

"An event? Maybe another challenge request."

-Oi! Sora-chan, Shiro-chan! Play with me! You still owe me 300 yen! You don't have to pay it back if you win though...and all your questions I'll answer 3 of them if you beat me-

My eyes were as wide as humanly possible as I reread the whole message.

There was an invite clipped on her message.

-Answered questions huh? I have a lot of them actually-

Wooh!!! First chapter is done! Finally!

I've put a lot of effort to try and make a more unique story.

Although all the supporting characters will be there the plot will be a little different even after they arrived in disboard.

The reason I wanted to have a different plot is because I want to have an actual end to this fanfiction.

I promise that this fanfiction will have an end. I will do my best to complete it so stay tuned.
