The group recovered from their jokes and laughs, walking down the sidewalk and headed towards the small shop. The sun was raging this morning, or so it felt. The sunlight felt like fire when it came in contact with any part of Zak, and he mentally shouted curses at it for blinding him, too.

Darryl, being the gentleman he usually is, held the door open for the boys. A cold breath of air swept over them, and the gaze of the sun seemingly vanished as they stepped inside.

They looked around and spotted Dave sitting in a booth opposite of someone. A someone Zak knew all too well. His skin was semi-dark, his eyes a glowing amber color. His hair was raven-black, similar to Zak's, and he wore a red hoodie.

"Harvey?"

The person opposite of Dave jumped a bit, his gaze swinging around to Zak. His expression turned to relief in a split second when he saw the other raven-haired boy.

"Took you long enough." Dave stated dryly. Zak almost flinched at his words, he had forgotten Dave was there.

"What were you doing, putting on makeup? It's 11:29." Dave rolled his eyes, biting his tounge a bit to prevent himself from saying something else.

"We were getting ready until Vincent claimed that Rose was se-," Zak started.

"Secretly dating others!" Vincent hurried to fill in the blanks loudly, and surprisingly no one looked up or even blinked at them.

"Hmm. Well, are you guys going to sit down, or stand there all day?" Dave said instead of asking for details.

"Are you and Harvey soulmates?" Darryl let out a tiny gasp, his eyes glinting. (from the gentle sunlight coming through the windows or from his own curiosity, nobody knows.)

"No, at least not yet, anyways." Harvey answered before Dave could, but his tone didnt hint anything.

"Have you two fo-," Zak started.

"What do you mean 'not yet'?" Rose asked, cutting Zak off. Zak shot her a glare but didn't say anything, instead tugging on Darryl's sleeve gently and pointing at a table to sit down at.

"Neither of us have soulmates. Its possible that the universe may repair us and it might be with eachother, but for now we have no-one." Dave and Harvey said, although Harvey was guessing words that Dave would say.

"Oh. Well anyw-," The tan boy started.

"Are you sure you dont have a soulmate? What if they're, like, the exact distance that would feel normal?" Clay asked, cutting Zak off yet again.

"That's imposs-,"

"We would be able to tell. The temperature you guys feel is layered, I would know." Dave said, sadness overcoming his form for a second.

"What happened to y-,"

"What do you mean, layered?" Nick asked now.

Zak was practically fuming, his arms crossed as he sat down in the booth behind Dave and Harvey's, Darryl closing him in soon after.

"Like, you can feel the normal temperatures even if you dont have a soulmate, you just have to focus on it." Dave shrugged. "Its one of those things that you understand, but it's difficult to explain."

The group let out an 'ohh' before seating themselves.

They talked for a bit, but it was words with no importance. Mostly talking about old videos or video ideas, ones that would serve nothing to be mentioned.

It was 12:59 already, and the boys went their separate ways. When Zak's group left the cold air of the coffee shop, the sun was back again, unleashing its anger through heat as it beat down on their backs.

When they got back to the house, George and Nick practically collapsed onto the couch, leaning on eachother.

"Wow, you guys really did tire yourselves out, huh?" Rose teased, standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"Shut the fuck up." George said dangerously, but in reality he was too tired to care about anything Rose said. He just wanted to close his eyes and drift off into a days long sleep, but he forced his eyes open as to not miss his last moments before he went back to his house.

"Language!" Darryl exclaimed, offended.

The day zoomed by, seeming to go faster than hours passed. It wasnt long until everyone was asleep again.

When the next morning came, Zak woke up alot earlier this time. The sun was barely peeking over the horizon, its light faintly oozing over trees and mountains.

When he walked through the kitchen, he wasnt very hungry. He grabbed a banana, and leaned on the counterside while eating it.

It wasnt long until Zak's gaze wandered over to the fridge, where a sticky note was. On the note, scribbled in dying pen, the words were written neatly.

Flight left early, couldnt say goodbye </3

Zak blinked.
