~Chapter Eighteen~
I tap my fingers on the desk, bored. It's a day after the exams, which had lasted two days. We were just waiting for the results of the exam, and the teachers were probably taking their sweet, sweet time checking our exams for any mistakes.
After a long moment of waiting, Korosensei appears in the room. "I have the results!" Korosensei chirps, grinning. Let's see how many people get to shoot my tentacles~!"
And, one by one, we heard who got the highest for each subject. Rio Nakamura got best in English, Yuma Isogai in Social Studies, and Monomi Okuda in Science. Hell, even Terasuka, Muramatsu, Yoshida And Kirara were the best in Home Economics.
As I received my grades for the exams, I was quite surprised. In Math, I got 85. In Japanese, I got 94. English was a decent 83. I got 82 for Science and Social Studies. For Home Economics, I got a 79. And, for Language Arts, I got...
"HOLY SHIT-!" I yelled excitedly, staring down at my paper. "I got a fuckin' 100 in Language Arts!" My classmates had applauded me, surprised. After all, I didn't pay much attention in class, but that was only because Language Arts came naturally to me. Korosensei started to sweat, knowing that eight of his tentacles would be shot at.
I grin, knowing that we not only beat A Class, but that we'd get to tell them to do whatever we want.
We decided to go to the summer vacation that was supposed to be for the top class, which excited me, as I've never traveled far before. We've also decided to shoot Korosensei's tentacles during the vacation. Oh, well. Looks like we'll be training before we actually get to relax.
Then again, assassins shouldn't slack off.

I browse through the books at the local library. I wanted to check out some books out about assassination and claim that Karma was getting into books, but he's pretty busy at the moment.
I skim through the titles, picking up a few books unrelated to killing to avoid gazes. I'd rather seem like I'm just grabbing interesting books than look like I'm plotting a murder. I mean, I was, but I had a perfectly reasonable explanation!
....said no sane person ever.
As I gander at the selection of books, one specific title catches my eye. The Act of Deceit. Sounds interesting enough. I grab it and take the books to a desk, proceeding to plop down on the chair accompanying the table.
Suddenly, Nagisa sat next to me, which had startled me, as I had no idea that he came to the library. "Nagisa? Why're you here?" I ask, though knowing the answer. I wasn't dense, like those dull protagonists in visual novels. Nagisa has most likely followed me, if the romance novels were anything like in real life.
"I just came to check something out, that's all..." Nagisa responds, placing a few Sonic Ninja comics onto the table. I turn my head to look at the shorty directly, giving a smug look. "Did ya come to check me out~?" I hum, causing Nagisa to turn shades of red that surpassed Karma's hair.
"I-It's nothing like that!" Nagisa stutters. "Geez, [Y/N]-Chan, would you quit it with that look?"
"Nani!?" I exclaim as I stand up, ignoring the irritated glares by the librarians. "Stop calling me [Y/N]-Chan already!" This time, I was the one with the heated face.
Nagisa chuckles, then looks at the books I've selected. "The Act of Deceit? What's it about?" I facepalm as I sit back down. "I didn't get to read it yet."
I stare at the back of the book, reading the summary.
"I guess it'll teach me how to lie?"
A/N
wOAH
Short chapter, I know
But I've been busy
So, if I don't update tomorrow, or the next day, I'll just try updating once a week. And, if I miss a week, I'll make two chapters! Sound fair~?
(also I'm disappointed in myself because I couldn't even get to 1,000 words before 10:00pm smh)
