Thanatos looked at the small child he held in his arms and smiled sadly at him. Thanatos is fading and so Thanatos wasn't gonna live going to live on this earth not very much longer then at least ten years. For mortals, this was a pretty long but for a god, it wasn't much. 

 Thanatos bit his bottom lip before saying to the little boy in his arms and said, "You will be named, Perseus Jackson." The boy, now named Perseus smiled as the man smiled back at him. "Any you shall hopefully make a mark in this dark world, stopping every monster that threatens this cruel world. But before then, I'll train you before I fade from this world."

 Ten Years Later

A boy who seemed no younger then the age of ten ducked as a scythe sliced through the spot where his was. He then quickly took two small steps and sliced his scythe sideways, towards where the man stood. But before the blade was able to touch his body, the man jumped over the slice and brought his scythe down to the boys head who was barely able to dodge the slice. A cut quickly appeared on the boys right arm.

 He winced before ignoring the pain and tried to cut one of the mans legs but the blade stopped midway and was brought downwards as the man put his foot on the blade, planting it on the ground.

 The boy tried to pull his weapon away from the man but barely even managed to make it move away from the mans foot.

 "I give up father." said the young boy.

 The father smiled at his child before saying, "Never give up. Even if all seems pointless. Now Percy, its sometimes good to let go off your blade and find a new way to approach. Come her and put her foot where mine is."

 Percy did as what he was instructed and put on his foot on the weapon he was holding before. It seemed as they switched places.

 "Watch, if you are not able to move the weapon because of the weight, then would you should do is first off, let go. The as fast as possible try to get behind them and then try and knee the part between your thigh and calf. It would momentarily surprised them and they would fall backwards. Another way is just go get behind them and to just kick or punch the back of their head. This would just make them fall forward. After their surprised, you could either just keep them beat them up or just quickly grab your scythe and kill them."

 Percy nodded at this before the two heard heavy footsteps. They both looked at the direction where they heard the heavy footsteps. Percy looked at his father before noticing the fear in his eyes. He saw his father gulp.

 The two both stared at the spot where the footsteps came from. A blond man wearing a orange shirt and blue jeans look at them curiously before a cold laughing erupted out of his mouth. Percy looked at the man before noticing that his eyes had gold rims.

 After the cold laughter of the man finished he said coldly, "I never expected to see you here Thanatos. And it seems to be that your child is also here as well."

 Percy looked at the two before asking, "Father, who is this man?"

 Thanatos looked at the powerful titan before looking down at Percy. He knelt down in front of Percy and Percy was able to notice that his father knuckles became white on the tight grip on his scythe.

 "Percy I'm sorry but my time in this world has ran out. Take my scythe and use it as your own. I'm so really Percy." said Thanatos gently putting his scythe into Percy's hand.

 Percy's eyes went wide as he felt power rush into his body. After a few silent seconds, Percy looked at his fathers eyes before looking at the man who smiled menacingly at the two. Then Percy remembered what day it was. Today was his birthday, but instead of joy coming to his heart, sadness and remorse filled it. Today was the day where Thanatos had to leave this world and join the others who have long faded from this world and entered the void.

 Tears clouded Percy's eyes. Thanatos smiled at Percy sadly before wiping a tear with his thumb.

 "Goodbye Percy." Thanatos said. All Percy could do was hold his fathers weapon in his hand and nod. Tears threateningly wanted to come out but he held it in. He wanted to show his father he was brave.

 "Now go young Perseus. Remember the things I've taught you and hopefully, be able to avenge me." Percy's father said. Percy nodded again before taking a step back and then turned around and ran. 

 Thanatos watched as his son ran off into the thick dense forest before turning around as he saw his son gone. 

 "Now that his gone, shall we?" said the golden haired man, pulling out a sword.

 Thanatos looked at him in disgust before saying, "Why must you only take young children away from the gods?" Thanatos said putting his hand into a shadow and a new scythe appeared in his hands.

 The golden haired smiled before saying, "What do I say? This children despise their parents. They come to me!"

 Thanatos looked at him in disgust before saying, "Just so you know Kronos, I wont disappear from this world without a fight!"

 The two lunged at each other before clashing. Sparks were sent flying, left to right. But after a couple of minutes of fighting, a blade was seen cutting through Thanatos gut. Thanatos looked at him before putting a hand on Kronos's shoulder and looked him in the eyes. Before he could say anything, Kronos pulled back the blade and then stabbed him again. Gold blood leaked from the wound and Thanatos became limp as he faded away.

 Kronos stayed in the spot before Thanatos body became dust and was carried away as the wind carried him away from the spot where he died.

 Percy watched from the branched and cried quietly as he saw his own father be killed and stabbed before he could say anything. He watched as the man named Kronos swung his sword around before laughing a cold laugh sending chills down his back.

 No matter what, I'll avenge father, Percy thought before he broke down tears. He cried for about a hour before getting up and wiped the tears. He swore to himself that he wont cry ever again.

 How bout that? A new story which I personally really do enjoy writing. I would like to see this story to continue and I hope you guys do too.
