Later at lunch that day, Tenya, Midoriya, and Uraraka we're sitting at their usual table and talking.
"There's so much people here," Uraraka said, munching on her rice.
"Besides just the Hero Course, there's also the Support, Business, and General Education Courses. All years and courses come here together for lunch," Tenya explained, recalling a bit of research he'd done before the term started.
Across from him, Midoriya nodded before getting out his bento and chopsticks.
Suddenly, Bakugou walked over to the table slammed his hand down on it, surprising Midoriya and physically making him flinch.
"Oi, Deku! Remember our agreement? Go buy my lunch!" Bakugou said.
Midoriya nodded, signing over to us a quick 'sorry' and 'excuse me' before following Bakugou off into the line.
"It's a good thing Deku-kun taught us that earlier or I wouldn't have known what he said," Uraraka grinned as she set down her now empty rice bowl. "Anyways, Iida-kun! About what Aizawa-sensei said in class- do you want to be class president? I mean, you sure look like the job!"
Tenya swallowed what food he had in his mouth and held his drink. "Ambition and suitability have to be taken into account, " He said. "Although I'd be honored to take on the responsibility, there may be someone more suited to the position than I. Such as Midoriya or Yaoyorozu for example."
Uraraka hummed. "Hmm, sure. I still think you'd be a good candidate for it, though."
Suddenly, her back straightened as her interest piqued. "Ah, Iida-kun! The way you speak! Are you rich?"
The question caught Tenya off guard as he almost spit out his drink. He quickly composed himself and hastily ate to cover up his shock like a cough.
"Ahem- uh, I don't usually like telling anyone because I fear their view of me will change, but considering how you are my friend and I've already basically told Midoriya, yes. My family is a renowned hero family. I'm the second son."
Tenya then glanced at Uraraka and asked, "Do you know of the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?"
In response, she slightly nodded. "I've heard of him before, but I only know that he has a lot of sidekicks and his agency is based in Tokyo..."
Tenya nodded. "That's fine. He's most known for that, anyway. Well, he is my older brother. He leads the people with unwavering adherence to rules and regulations. He's a very popular hero, indeed. In fact, it's because of my brother that I've become so inspired to become a hero." He sheepishly grinned. "Though I myself think I'm not ready to lead anyone yet."
At that moment, Midoriya came back to the table and quickly started at his food, gaining strange looks from his friends.
'What?' He signed. 'I'm hungry.'
That earned a hearty laugh from Uraraka and a few chuckles from Tenya.
The relaxed atmosphere was suddenly cut short as red, loud alarms blared throughout the cafeteria, making every student jolt up in shock.
"What's going on?!" Uraraka shouted over the noise and the alarmed cries of their fellow students.
'Security Level Three has been broken. All students, please evacuate in an orderly fashion,' A voice from the speakers said before repeating.
"What's Security Level Three?!" Tenya asked to no one in particular, moving his hands in outgoing gestures.
"It means someone's infiltrated the school! It hasn't happened in all my three years here!" A third year shouted in reply before being pushed into the crowd of evacuating students.
The three of them ended up in the same crowd a few moments later, drowning in the pushing and shoving of the others.
"Such a rapid response to danger! I'd expect no less from UA!" Tenya shouted before getting elbowed in the ribs. "Ow!"
"A little too rapid!" Uraraka yelled, her voice barely audible over the other students'. "Everyone's panicking!"
Tenya and Uraraka watched as Midoriya was dragged further into the crowd with wide eyes.
"Midoriya!"
"Deku-kun!"
"Who could have broken in...?!" Tenya thought as he was pushed closer to the window. He looked outside and noticed a large group at the entrance to the school, all holding cameras or long microphones.
"The press!" Tenya exclaimed. "It's just the media! There's no need to panic- Yowch!" He was once again elbowed in the ribs.
Just a ways behind him, Uraraka shouted, "Ah- I remember! Earlier this morning, the press was at the gates of the school and asking for All Might!"
"Earlier this morning? When I got here, there was no one at the gates." Then again, Tenya did always come thirty to forty minutes before classes even begun.
He looked around as everyone kept panicking. "What do I do?! I've got to calm everyone down-! Come on... What would Tensei do?!"
An idea sprung into his head and he turned his head to make eye contact with a desperate Uraraka.
"Uraraka! Make me float!" He yelled, reaching out his hand for hers. She slapped it and Tenya could feel himself getting lighter.
He pulled up his pants to his knees to expose the engines in his legs. Then he jumped up above the crowd and used his engines to push himself forward. His lightness and his quirk combined hurled him straight into the wall above the door. Tenya planted his feet into the EXIT sign just below him and grabbed the pipe above his head to stay put.
At the top of his lungs, he shouted, "Everything is alright! It's just the press!"
He managed to catch the attention of most of the students and kept yelling.
"There's nothing to panic about! We're fine! This is UA! Behave in a way befitting of this great institution!"

At the end of the day's homeroom, Aizawa walked into class looking tired as ever.
"So, have you decided on a class president, yet?" He asked.
Most of the students sprang up or started shouting out at that, giving Aizawa an annoyed look.
"Settle down, settle down... I'm guessing that means you haven't."
Iida raised his hand to speak. "Sensei! I suggest an election to pick our class president! Our leader should be chosen by the eyes of others!"
Aizawa nodded lazily. "Sure, whatever. Just make it quick." He slipped into his yellow sleeping bag and disappeared behind his back desk.
The voting proceeded, students dropping ballots with their vote's name in a box. Students could either vote for themselves or someone else. After ten minutes, all the students had voted and the polls had been cast.
Aizawa woke up and took count before writing the results up on the board. Izuku's eyes widened when he realized that he had three votes.
"W-Wha-!?"
"There you have it," Aizawa said. "Midoriya's your president and Yaoyorozu is your vice president."
Izuku sat in his seat with wide eyes. Why would anyone vote for him?
Izuku stood up in his seat and protested in sign. His hands fumbled as he thought of what to say. 'There's no way I could be class president! Really! I can't even speak! I don't think I have what it takes! I-'
"Slow down, Midoriya. Bakugou, what's he saying?" Aizawa said.
Bakugou made a face and turned around to see Izuku resume his signing spree. "I can't take on the responsibility. I can't speak. I wouldn't be good at it at all- blah blah blah, useless stuff," Bakugou said, obviously bored. "I think Iida would be much better for the position- Eh?"
The class took on his confusion as well.
Izuku kept signing and Bakugou translated him. "Iida clearly showed his worth with the whole evacuation thing earlier. He took the objective to calm everyone down and stopped the panic. He's more suited to be the class president than I am."
Iida looked at Izuku in shock. "Really? Are you sure?"
Izuku nodded and Iida smiled. "Then I'll gladly take on the position."
———————————————
Izuku walked out of the school with Iida and Uraraka following beside him.
"I really can't thank you enough, Midoriya. I will take care of this position and the class." Iida said.
Izuku smiled and shook his head. He knew Iida would be a great class president. He was smart, responsible, and reliable. He knew he had what it takes.
'You'll do good,' He finger spelled for him to understand.
Iida smiled again and beside Izuku, Uraraka exclaimed, "You really don't smile enough, Iida-kun! You should!"
Iida took it into consideration before smiling again. "Ah- sure."
Izuku looked ahead to see Bakugou standing at the gate. He glared at Izuku and he remembered that Bakugou was coming home with him to pick out a poster. He turned to Uraraka and Iida and pointed at Bakugou before bowing in apology.
They looked over his shoulder at Bakugou before nodding in understanding.
"We'll see you tomorrow, Deku-kun!" Uraraka said and Iida waved alongside her.
Izuku walked over to Bakugou and clapped his hands together in a apology. Bakugou scoffed and started walking to the station.
"Let's get this over with."
Izuku followed after him as he walked off. They entered the station, passed the gates, and went inside the bullet train. There weren't too many people on the train, making the ride home awkward and quiet for both boys.
When they got off, Bakugou started for Izuku's house. He'd known him for so long that he'd memorized the way to his house. Before Bakugou could get anywhere far though, Izuku grabbed his arm to stop him.
Bakugou turned around, eyebrows scrunched. "What, Deku? Your apartment's is that way."
Izuku shook his head and signed, 'I've gotta get something from the convenience store first.'
Bakugou groaned and followed Izuku to the store. When they got there, Bakugou stayed by the drinks section and Izuku went off looking for cat food. When he found it, he grabbed two twelve packs of salmon cat food.
"This should last Yoru a few weeks." He thought.
Izuku walked over to the register and saw something that confused him. Handling the cash register was Kirishima, tall, spiky red hair and all.
Izuku walked closer to it and placed the cat food down on the counter. Kirishima turned to him with a wide, surprised smile.
"Midoriya! Dude, I didn't expect you to be here!" He said.
By then, Bakugou wandered to Izuku's side in curiosity, only to be met by the excited red haired boy.
"Bakugou, too! Man, what are you guys doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing, Shitty Hair," Bakugou said. "I didn't think you lived in this area."
"Oh, I don't," Kirishima said, brushing off Bakugou's comment on his hair. "I live close to here though. I saw this place hiring just before the term started, so I got a job here. Gotta help my parents out and stuff."
Kirishima then checked out Izuku's cat food. "Didn't think you had a cat, Midoriya," He commented as he checked the packs out and put them in plastic bags.
'I just got it recently. He's a black cat," Izuku signed in reply, hoping Bakugou would translate him. He started paying for the cat food.
"Says he just got it. It's a black cat," Bakugou said, eyeing Kirishima suspiciously.
"Cool! Hope I can see it someday," Kirishima grinned as Izuku smiled in response.
Kirishima gave him the bag and said, "Have a good day! See you guys at school!" as the both of them walked out of the store.
Izuku stopped right outside of the convenience store to fix the bag into a more comfortable hold. Beside him, Bakugou just stared inside through the window.
When Izuku was done, he looked up at Bakugou who gave him no attention. Izuku waved a hand in front of his face and he quickly snapped out of his trance. With a scowl, he turned to face Izuku.
"Get your fucking hand away from my face, Deku," He said as he slapped Izuku's hand away and walked in the direction of his apartment.
Izuku sighed and followed after him.
———————————————
Izuku unlocked the door and stepped inside before taking off his shoes. Behind him, Bakugou did the same. He whistled a soft note and Yoru came out of his room. Izuku didn't know why, but the cat always seemed to respond to his whistling.
Izuku crouched down and held an arm out as the cat climbed up it and sat on his shoulder. It purred and nuzzled it's head into Izuku's fuzzy locks. Yoru also liked sitting on his shoulder for some reason.
Bakugou lifted an eyebrow at the sight. "You really did get a cat, huh?"
'Did you think I was lying?' Izuku asked.
Bakugou 'tsked' and walked further into the apartment.
Izuku's mom was in the kitchen cleaning up. At the sound of Izuku and Bakugou's footsteps, she turned around.
"Hey, Oba-san," Bakugou said as he walked into the room.
"Katsuki! It's good to see you," Izuku's mom smiled. "What are you doing here?"
'I'm gonna give him one of my posters,' Izuku said as he set the cat food down on the counter.
"Is that so? Well, carry on then, boys," His mom said as she continued cleaning.
Izuku led Bakugou into his room and Bakugou winced as he saw the decoration everywhere.
All Might.
Lots and lots of All Might.
"Do you seriously still have all these? There's even some from when we were kids," He said, examining a ten year old All Might figurine.
'Of course!' Izuku signed. 'My goal is to fill this room up with all the official All Might merch!'
Bakugou smirked. "You really think that'll happen, idiot?"
Izuku only pouted in response as he sat in his swivel chair and watched Bakugou look around the room to choose a poster.
Izuku took out his books and journals to start on his homework. After a few minutes, Bakugou pointed at a poster.
"This one," He said simply.
Izuku turned his attention to what he was pointing at.
It was a limited addition All Might poster from a year ago. All Might was standing on top of a building, his cape flowing in the wind along with his hair. He stood in the sunset and watched over a city that particularly looked like Tokyo. 'All Might' was printed in big yellow letters at the top of the poster with 'Limited Addition' and the year 20XX on the bottom in smaller yellow letters. Only one hundred of the posters were sold in three different hero merchandise stores at exactly 7:15 am.
Izuku nodded and carefully took the poster off the wall. Bakugou knew all about how super limited addition the poster was and grinned as Izuku handed it to him. He probably thought that he was taking something valuable, but Izuku mentally snickered, knowing he had another stashed away in a drawer. He would put it up later.
As the two went back into the living area, Izuku's mom looked over at them.
"Ah, Katsuki! Would you like to stay over for dinner?" She asked.
"Nah, it's fine. I promised the old hag that I'd be back as soon as I got what I wanted," Bakugou said.
"Is that right? Well, be safe on your way home, Katsuki!"
Bakugo nodded and walked over to the door, slipping on his shoes. Izuku followed him to see him out.
"I forgot!" His mom shouted as she peeked over the wall and at Bakugou. "Katsuki, could I have your recipe for your curry?"
Bakugo turned around with an intimidating glare. "Eh?! Over my dead body, lady!"
Izauku's mom laughed at that, unfazed by his outburst. "Alright then! Be safe!"
She then disappeared around the corner leaving a pissed Bakugou and highly confused Izuku.
Bakugou opened the door and looked over at Izuku. "Oi, Deku, if you make me translate you for something like that again, I'll expect something else in return."
Izuku smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head before signing, 'See you at school, Kacchan!'
Without a reply, Bakugou turned around and walked away, rolled up poster in hand.
Izuku watched silently as Bakugou made his way down the stairs. He couldn't forgive Bakugou for what he'd done that day. After the incident, he started teasing him and picking on him, stealing his school shoes from its locker and taking his textbooks. Soon, though, it'd turned into bullying. Physically and mentally. He'd downgrade him and hurt him, others soon joining the fray. Despite that, Izuku still couldn't throw away the fact that they'd once been friends. He still saw his childhood friend in Bakugou who was hardheaded and stubborn, but still his best friend.
Izuku shut the door behind him and walked back inside. By then Yoru, had moved onto Izuku's head and on his curls, making himself comfortable. Izuku entered his room and carefully lifted the cat off his head and set him on the bed. He walked into the bathroom and started up the shower. Showering always helped one clear their thoughts.
