↟Chapter Fifteen↡

Aaaannd— I present to you a Tododeku filled filler chapter! (I did mention that this ship would be included in the description, didn't have I?) Also, that picture up there is volume 15 of the manga! Fitting, isn't it? (If you look closely, I've got a Naruto manga [by Kishimoto Masashi-san] under there)

The classroom was buzzing with excitement after Aizawa had announced the field training they all would be getting. As they stood outside the school by the bus, waiting for their teachers, Izuku noted that everyone was wearing their costumes. His, on the other hand, had been torn and broken so badly it became completely unusable during the training exercise. He simply wore his gym uniform along with his headgear and white gloves.

Uraraka was chattering away about the training while Izuku nodded absentmindedly in response. He wondered about what they were going to do; so hard to the point that his fingers started twitching, eager to sign out his thoughts.

"Could it be another battle training exercise? Or will we be doing physical combat or something of the sort? I've never really been too good at that, though... I might need to train some more in that area. Maybe it could be some totally random exercise that seems irrelevant to heroics in every possible way but had a special lesson or objective behind it? Like during the the entrance exams where they were also doing Rescue Points and not just Villain Points. Or maybe an exercise where-"

Izuku's ranting was cut short by the class president's outburst.

"Single file everyone! We are loading the bus!"

———————————————

Everyone was chattering away on the ride to the training facility. The campus was so big that multiple buildings were stationed everywhere and some had to be taken by car, or in their case, bus. Izuku's classmates were getting a long and joking with each other, occasionally messing with Bakugou who shouted curses at them in response. Izuku had somehow been seated next to Todoroki, who was silently scrolling through his phone beside him.

Izuku didn't know a lot about the heterochromatic boy. He sat in the back of the class and wasn't all that social. Izuku had heard that he had gotten into UA through recommendations. Other than that, he really didn't know much about Todoroki Shouto.

Izuku yawned tiredly. The night before, he ran around until late at night since he wasn't keeping track of time. As soon as he got home, he took a shower and messed with his cat for a while. Then he studied for an hour or three before clonking out on his desk at four in the morning. Izuku had only gotten four hours of sleep that night, so, naturally, he would be extremely tired.

And he only made the bags under his eyes worse.

Uraraka had asked if he was okay earlier, noticing the deep bags, but he simply nodded in response as usual.

Izuku yawned again. He faintly heard Aizawa's announcement of twenty more minutes on the road. Izuku slowly processed the information before deciding to use the time left to take a nap. He leaned back and closed his eyes.

What Izuku didn't realize was that he instead had slumped over and set his head on the heterochromatic boy's shoulder beside him.

Shouto absentmindedly scrolled through a random news app on his phone. He only stopped every once in a while to scan through a somewhat interesting article before scrolling down again. He then sighed aloud and set the phone down.

"I just want to get this over with already..."

Shouto tilted his head to the side to look out the window. He watched with a solemn face as trees and grass passed by in a blur. The sky remained blue and the clouds moved at a calm, slow pace. The chatter of the class in the background was faint as he focused solely on the scenery.

The sudden weight on Shouto's left shoulder snapped him out of his trance with a start. He wasn't expecting that. He turned his head once more and came into contact with fuzzy green. Midoriya was sleeping on his shoulder.

Shouto's eyes widened at that. No one seemed to notice.

The silent boy's chest rose up and down at a rhythmical pace as he let out small snores (It was the most sound Shouto had ever heard from Midoriya). He had on a relaxed expression as he dozed. Shouto noted the features of Midoriya's face. His soft lips were slightly parted and his eyelashes, longer than the average male's, caught the sunlight through the bus window. Freckles dotted his cheeks, adding on to the boy's cuteness.

"Cute..." Shouto repeated the word in his mind.

It was a strange, foreign word to him. He grew up in a strict household and was raised by an even stricter father his whole life. He wasn't allowed to come into contact with anything remotely 'cute.'

He turned his head to look out the window again, covering his probably red cheeks.

Shouto was very uncomfortable at the moment.

———————————————

When the bus stopped, the rest of the students got off, not sparing a glance at the two boys. Midoriya still slept soundly on Shouto's shoulders.

The heterochromatic boy was now in an even more uncomfortable situation.

Waking the freckled boy up.

Shouto definitely wasn't good with people. Considering how he was brought up once again, definitely not. Shouto had horrible social skills.

He looked down at the boy who slept comfortably on his shoulder. Midoriya's face was still relaxed and calm. Shouto hated having to wake him up.

As carefully as he could, Shouto shook Midoriya's shoulder lightly. The green haired boy shifted a bit, the fluff on his head bouncing, but he didn't wake up. Shouto tried again. He watched, slightly startled, as a hand reached over to rub the boy's freckled face.

Midoriya blinked his eyes awake and let out a silent yawn. He rubbed over his eye again before opening them completely. Shouto took in the sight. Bright green eyes with a bit of yellow easily caught the light, making them shine in the sun.

The bags under his eyes only made them stand out more.

"Are you awake now?" Shouto asked, breaking the silence. He watched as Midoriya jumped and turned his head to look into the heterochromatic's mismatched eyes. Green eyes widened.

Midoriya quickly got up and bowed at Shouto in apology. Said boy shook his hands in protest awkwardly.

"Um, it's alright, really. You looked tired."

Midoriya stood straight and made eye contact with Shouto again. He then turned his head to the door of the bus before looking back at Shouto. He then bowed once more before quickly walking outside.

Shouto watched as he left the bus and joined Uraraka and Iida. It had only been about a minute in that whole situation, but he felt strange. Unconsciously, his right hand reached over and touched his left shoulder.

The warmth was slowly fading.
