10| The Warning
JIM'S POV
I was walking down the corridor, gazing at the walls and ceiling, when I heard a thump behind me. I turned around but couldn't see anything for a second, because Arrrgh was blocking my view. He glanced at me and walked past, and that's when I could see Amora on the ground, lifeless.
"Oh no!" I rushed toward Amora and the others followed me. I crouched down next to her and shook her shoulders.
"Amora!" Toby said, trying to wake her up.
She didn't wake. All I could do was hope she would be okay.
THIRD PERSON POV
Amora lay on the concrete, her eyes closed, her body limp.
"Amora." Inside her head, Amora heard a soft female voice. She opened her eyes. She was in a cave. Small crystals dangled from twine from the ceiling, creating a florescent glow around the cave. There was a tunnel to Amora's right, so she got up and walked down it. After a minutes walking, she reached an opening of the tunnel, revealing an underground cave. Grass and dirt covered the floor, and flowers of all different colors popped up from the soil. Trees were sprouting from the dirt, and some large oaks were standing still, no breeze to sway them. Small crystals hung from the ceiling, like in the cave Amora woke up in.
"I wouldn't look at the Heartstone again." A faded, female voice echoed in the cave. It was far away, but as loud as someone right next to Amora.
"Wha-? Who are you?" Amora looked around, searching for a sign of a living being.
"I, am the spirit of the first Assassin. Me, and all my sisters live here."
"Why do you say, 'Don't look at the Heartstone?"
"Because me and my sisters have all fallen to it. It's light it produces is poisonous to our eyes. Even though you are visually human, I know you hide a secret."
"You don't know anything!"
"We know more then you think. Please, show us your power. You can't hide any longer," the voice pressed, "Show us your power, and we will show our faces."
Amora clenched her fists. She knew the spirits were right, she had a power, but she wasn't proud of it.
"Fine! I'll show you my curse." Amora looked at one of the flowers at her feet and she pointed her finger tips to it. The whole flower held it's shape, but converted into moving black sand. Amora waved her fingers and the sand shaped into another shape of flower, a lily. Amora stopped and the black sand converted to the lily she had formed.
"There. There's my curse. Now show me your faces."
Amora looked around and she saw a blue mist form neat the entrance. A tall, feminine figure emerged from the mist and walked up to Amora.
The figure's legs were long, and thin, and the same for the legs and body. The troll towered over Amora, and she was a tall girl. The living stone covering the skull was tight, creating the look of a young teenager almost. Long, sweeping black hair hung down to the troll's waist. She living stone was a dark grey everywhere, and she wore something that resembled black shorts and a tight black crop top.
"Hello. My name, is Whauna," the troll said.
Amora gaped at the troll in front of her. Her beauty was unmatched. Whauna smiled at Amora's reaction.
"Our species of troll were the only ones who acquired the Assassin's amulet. We were all very skilled in being camouflaged, so being an assassin came naturally."
Amora shook herself out of her daze and said, "So, you and all of your sisters fell to the Heartstone?"
Whauna's smile faded a little and she said, "Yes, we all did. I am saddened to say that, but it is so. The Heartstone was created to give other trolls light, and nourishment, yes, but it was also created to kill any Assassin's who swore allegiance to evil trolls."
"What was your allegiance?" Amora asked. she was curious about the Assassins' and the troll standing in front of her.
"I did not have an allegiance. I would travel the world and search for a clan to join. After that I would decide my allegiance. But when I found a clan, I looked at the Heartstone. You can guess what happened from there."
"Yeah, sorry. But I do have another question. How do I get back to the real world?"
"Down the tunnel until you reach the light. Be careful, though. Your friends may be fretting over you." Whauna turned to the entrance to the cave.
"Thank you for everything." Amora walked down the tunnel, and she heard, "Don't look at the Heartstone, Amora."
Hey everybody! I'm SOOO sorry I haven't updated sooner, but I've been reading the crap out of Spider-Man X Reader. So, I just thought about actually updating for once! Sorry for the short chapter, but I just updated my HTTYD fanfiction and it's already pretty late. So anyways, a comment or/and vote will really support me in my writing, and I'll see you soon!
