Thanks to the people that voted on who will Luna and May battle against, I appreciate it so much! Onto the story to see who is against who.

The results were up; May and Luna got into the battle rounds, and so did Robert, Drew, Anthony, Harley, Angelica and Mark.

Caroline, Brock, Tomo and Max were happy for Luna and May.

Then the screen showed who will battle against whom in the first round of the double battle matches.

By surprise but Luna was amused by the choice, May would battle Angelica and Luna would battle Harley in the first round.

Angelica and Harley thought a different Angelica wanted to battle against Luna and Harley wanted payback a giant May or Mark for defeating him before.

"Wanna ya know, talk about luck of the draw." Luna smirked, "Harley you better not hold back against me or else the result is painful~" She sang.

Drew, Robert, Anthony and Mark looked at Harley's face which was paling white and sweating, 'Ouch, talk about a hard battle for first round battle.' They thought.

"Oh well, I can also defeat you again like the last contest." Angelica smirked arrogantly.

"Bring it on, it won't be like the last time." May challenged.

It was now time for the battle rounds of the Hoenn Grand Festival to begin.

Now it was Luna up against Harley first and they were ready to start the battle.

'This is going to be difficult.' Harley thought, 'Especially when her reputation has it that she hasn't lost a single Pokémon in two leagues.'

'This is going to be fun~' Luna smiled.

"Cacturne and Banette, come on out!" Harley released his scarecrow and marionette Pokémon.

"Illumise, Volbeat show them your strength!" Luna released both firefly Pokémon who both came out glittering showing how healthy their wings and body where.

The audience and judges where already impressed.

Harley started off by telling his Banette to use screech and Cacturne to use bullet seed.

Banette's screech attack put Volbeat and Illumise off from doing anything and then they got hit by Cacturne's bullet seed, but they quickly shook of the attack.

"Let's take one out, Illumise and Volbeat planet shadow ball." Luna said.

Everyone was wondering what type of attack was that, since they have never heard off it before and so they watched carefully.

Illumise and Volbeat looked at each other and nodded, the male firefly Pokémon released a huge shadow ball twice its original size and then the female firefly Pokémon rapped fire seven other shadow balls surround the larger one.

To the audience and judges the shadow ball looks like a planet with small planets around it.

Before Harley could react to the gaint shadow balls coming they hit Banette hard and since Banette was a ghost type and shadow ball is a ghost type attack it was super effective, adding extra damage of the small shadow balls.

"Banette no!" Harley shouted as Banette collapse onto the ground with a 'thud' and swirling eyes.

Harley points went down by half since it was unable to continue.

"WELL BANETTE IS OUT OF THE BATTLE WIH JUST ONE COMBINE ATTACK!" Vivian announced shocked and astonished, "AND NOW CACTURNE IS THE ONLY REMINDING!"

"Woah, now that's an impressive combine move." Drew complimented.

"Yes, I agree." Robert nodded.

"Seriously wicked man." Mark grinned.

Angelica huffed.

"Cacturne use sandstorm!" Harley shouted, Cacturne used a powerful sandstorm at both firefly Pokémon blocking their eyes.

Luna points went down bit by bit as the sandstorm was still going.

Harley notice that Luna was calm not minding her points going down.

"Illumise use aerial ace." Luna said. Illumise quickly took off into the air busting out the the sandstorm attack, she dove down towards Cacturne, she hit it and the sandstorm stopped.

"Cacturne! When did that little bug get there?" Harley snarled confused and shocked.

Illumise got an tick mark appearing and she talked to Harley in Pokélanguage, 'Don't call me a bug! I maybe a bug type but I'm a firefly Pokémon thank you!'

Luna and Volbeat sweat dropped, "Oh well, we can't let Illumise take care the show as well, right Volbeat?"

Volbeat nodded.

"Silver wind." Volbeat used silver wind heading towards Illumise who smiled and gracefully dodge the silver wind hitting Cacturne directly. "Double brick break!"

Illumise and Volbeat both were flying above Cacturne who weak now and they both hit it with a fighting type move directly sending it back down with a huge large 'crash'.

The Pokémons that were watching flinched at the powerful super effective attacks, 'Ouch!'

When the dust cleared it showed the scarecrow Pokémon with swirling eyes, making Harley lose all his points.

Making Luna the winner of the first round battle.

Harley was cross with his lost and for earning Top 32 in the Grand Festival, he returned his Cacturne and walked out of the stadium in a huff. "I hope to see Luna lose in this Grand Festival." He said angrily. If that is possible.

"Harley had it coming." Max said.

"Your right, Luna doesn't appreciate trainers like him." Brock agreed. "They lie and cheat in order to win, that's something Luna hates the most."

"Still scary how the she knocked out both his Pokémon with a super effective move." Coarline shivered looking at the crater the attack made.

"I know what you mean mum and I don't know to feel sorry whoever is up against her next." Max said.

Luna hugged both her firefly Pokémon congratulating that both for a excellent battle and performance.

After all few matches it was finally May up against Angelica.

'Beating the brat May once again is easy,' Angelica thought, 'once I beat her I'll get to beat Luna and I will go on to win this Grand Festival.' She sent out her Electabuzz and her Ampharos.

May sent out Combusken and Bulbasaur to the field.

Angelica started things off by telling her Electabuzz to use thunderbolt on Combusken.

Bulbasaur use energy ball, Combusken get ready to use quick attack into sand attack." May said. Bulbasaur launched an energy ball colliding with the thunderbolt, while Combusken boost up his speed heading towards Ampharos and hit it with a sand attack into its face.

Angelica lost lots of points due the the attack collision and directly hit, but so did May but only a bit.

Coraline can see that May has grown up and able to battle so well and she was proud of her.

"All right then Ampharos you use thunder punch on Combusken and Electabuzz you use fire punch on Bulbasaur." Angelica said. Ampharos and Electabuzz ran over to Bulbasaur and Combusken, ready to punch them.

"Bulbasaur stop them on their feet with vine whip." May countered. Bulbasaur vines whipped the two electric Pokémon on their feet making them trip, "Okay now Combusken bulk up then flamethrower." Combusken boosted up his attack and defence, he blew flamethrower at both Electabuzz and Ampharos and they got really hurt by the flamethrower.

Because the move bulk up boosting Combusken's attack and defense, Combusken's flamethrower was stronger.

Angelica lost all of her points from that and lost the round, making May the winner who congratulated her Pokémons.

Angelica was cross with her loss, she returned her Pokémon and walked out of the stadium in a huff.

"Wow, May showed her." Tomo said.

"Way to go May!" Max cheered.

"Yeah and impressive as well." Brock commented, "She boosted up Combusken's attack and defence with bulk up and the powerful flames was enough to cause large amount of damage."

Coarline smiled at her daughter first round win.

"Yeah and that Angelica still has a lot to learn about being an electric Pokémon master." Max added.

"Pichu!" (Alright!) She pumped her fist.

"Chipa, Chichipa!" (Way to go!) Pachirisu jumped happily.

Anthony, Drew, Robert, Mark another eight trainers also defeated their opponents to get into the Top 16 rounds.

Now Caroline and the gang were in the Pokémon Centre so Luna and May could heal Combusken, Bulbasaur, Illumise and Volbeat.

"Phew, I have only done one match and I already feel like I want to collapse." May said.

"Hang in there May, there are still a few more matches to go if we want to reach the finals." Luna said.

Just then the results for the next battle matches came up on the screen in the Pokémon center.

May was against Anthony and Luna was against a girl named Maddie.

The Top 16 battle rounds weren't until tomorrow, so Luna and May could rest up tonight.

Luna and May had made it through the first battle round, but if they wanted to earn the title of top coordinator there was still some matches to go.

Next morning Luna was outside on a training ground with Pichu and Pachirisu.

The next battle round wasn't until later, so Luna used this time to do a little training. "I think this is the right time to have Snorunt perfect her ice beam attack on moving targets, wouldn't you two say?" She said.

Pachirisu and Pichu both agreed.

Luna called out her Snorunt, "Come on Snorunt, we are going to have you master your ice beam attack on moving targets."

Snorunt couldn't wait to get started.

Everything was set up, Luna has brought some frisbee for targets. Pichu and Pachirisu where both up in the trees ready to toss them.

"You ready?" Snorunt nodded, "Three... Two... One... Let's throw!" Luna began.

Both electric type toss frisbee every five second flat to get the aim and fast launch or attack.

After all 10 frisbee were down, Luna made a count. "Huh? Theirs three missing..." She muttered.

"You wouldn't be looking for these now?" A voice said from behind and it was Robert who had three of the other frisbee in his hand that was frozen.

"Ah. Yep that's it alright." Luna chuckled and took them of his hand.

"I'm surprised to see a beam on ice and frisbee flying around here, so I decide to get it out and I've never thought to see you here Luna." Robert said.

"We were training, I was training Snorunt here to control her ice beam in air and the speed of it. Which I say you pass Snorunt but you'll get better." Luna congrats her.

"Oh, she is eager to evolve I must say." Robert said amused seeing the little snow hat Pokémon jumping happily with the other two electric type answering.

Luna held out a dawn stone towards her snow hat Pokémon, "You deserve it."

Snorunt happily took the stone and she began to glow changing her into a humanoid Pokémon with a hollow torso that resembles a kimono, she has a red band around her waist that reminiscent of an Obi and her arms are connected to her side of her head, flares to at ten wrist.

"Fros-Froslass!" She said floating in her new form.

Froslass, the Snow Land Pokémon.
The evolved form of Snorunt. It freezes its opponents to temperatures nearly minus sixty degrees.

"Chipa, Chichipachipa." (Remind me not to get you mad now.) Pachirisu said.

"Pi, pichupi, chupichu." (She's no longer the cute little snow Pokémon.) Pichu sulked, she enjoyed the playful of the snow hat Pokémon.

"Froslass..."

"Congratulations on your Pokémon evolved. What Pokémon are you going to use... Winter?"

Luna raised an eyebrow, she wasn't really surprise of people put the pieces together, "That's a secret Robert, I can't really risk using Latias but against you I can make it an acceptable and for my other Pokémon is a secret."

Luna remembered from the Aquadome Island contest that Robert hoped to face Latias again.

"I understand Luna but I warn you I have trained my both my Pokémon who are ready to fight against Latias and the mystery Pokémon."

"My Pokémons and I look forward to it." Luna said. "Bring it on."

Sometime later the Top 16 battle round was on the way.

Luna battled against Maddie who used Rapidash and Misdreavus, while she used Rio (Squirtle) and Emi (Mightyena) who was a advantage but Luna didn't really give her opponents time to counter against so she move onto the next round.

Next it was May and she battled Anthony. Anthony was using his Swablu and a Pinsir and May was using Combusken again and this time her Azumarill.

Anthony turned out to be quite a good battler, especially with his Swalot.

But once the time was up May had more points than Anthony and May won.

Drew, Robert and Mark also defeated their opponents easily.

"I must say May you have improved a lot on your battling skills." Caroline stated, once everyone was at the Pokémon Centre.

"Thanks mum," May smiled, "and I have Luna and Tomo to thank for that. Especially with their other Pokémon on helping my Pokémon learn new moves."

"I find it wonderful, before you hated Pokémon because you were afraid of them."

"Not only that but she didn't know a thing about them and clearly had no idea how capturing and battling Pokémon worked." Max teased.

"Hey I like Pokémon now and I have learnt a lot thank you." May said embarrassed.

At that moment the results for the matches in the Top 8 round came up.

By surprise May's next opponent was Mark and Luna opponent was someone named Leah.

"Oh my, I'm up against Mark." May said, she has never face against him before so it was going to be difficult.

"I'll be careful of him May, Mark is somewhat like Luna but different." Brock warned, knowing about his and Luna attitude somewhat similar to wmeqch other.

"Your right I've seen how he has battle it's quite amazing."

First up was May and Mark's battle.

Mark sent out his Magmar and a bipedal Pokémon with an appearance that incorporates features of roses and masquerade attire.

"Woah." May said as the bouquet like Pokémon bowed.

"Roserade huh?" Tomo said and took out his Pokédex.

Roserade, the Bouquet Pokémon.
The evolved form of Roselia. It lures enemies with its sweet aroma and attacks with dancer-like elegance.

May sent out her Beautifly and her Altaria on the stage.

'So May has a dragon type too huh?' Drew thought, he had never seen May's Altaria before.

"This is going to be interesting." Luna muttered watching the screen.

Mark started off with his Roserade use razor leaf and Magmar to use fire blast.

"Beautifly use silver wind to stop those razor leaf and Altaria use dragon breath." May countered.

Beautifly silver wind stopped the razor leaf attack, while Altaria use dragon breath to counter against the fire blast.

"Magmar flamethrower on Beautifly, Roserade use petal dance." Mark said. Magmar fired a flamethrower towards the butterfly Pokémon and Roserade covered the field with petal dance.

May was amazed how the field was now but she quickly shook it off, "Altaria aerial ace, Beautifly dodge it."

Beautifly tried to dodge the attack but she notice that she couldn't really see with all the petal of flowers everywhere, so the flamethrower hit her sending her to the ground.

"Beautifly!" May gasped.

Altaria though got the hit with an aerial ace on Roserade.

May and Mark both lost some bonus but May loss more.

"I see, Mark's Roserade use petal dance as a decoy for Magmar's flamethrower to hit." Luna said, "Not bad."

"Smart." Brock commented, "Mark's used petal dance to distract May's Pokémon."

"This is going to be a problem for May." Max said.

----

"Now Roserade use sunny day, Magmar fire spin." Mark said. Roserade fired a bright orb making the stage brighter, given a boost to fire type moves and Magmar then fired a fire spin attack towards Beautifly.

"Altaria quick safeguard." May said. Altaria flew in front of Beautifly and protected her some the weather ball attack. "Flamethrower at Roserade." Altaria blew flamethrower missing the bouquet Pokémon but the heat intense boosted the flames.

Mark lost points, but that didn't stop him their was still time left he looked at the time there was only one minutes left.

'This is all out.' Mark thought, "Roserade use shadow ball, Magmar once more fire spin!"

Roserade fired a launched shadow ball and then Magmar used fire spin around the shadow ball making it like a solar planet with flames surrounding it.

Luna smiled, "Oh, that moved reminds me of Joshua and May combo with Houndoom and Skitty but it's different."

"Oh no! Beautifly solar beam, Altaria hyper beam together!" May said. Beautifly solar was charged quicker due to the effect of sunny day and Altaria fired a hyper beam.

Together the solar beam and hyper beam combined together making it become a rainbow type of colour.

----

Luna whistled, "Wao, now bad." Her eyes narrowed, "But the time."

"Your right, if that blast hit its time." Drew agreed.

----

Both combined attacks hit each other creating a huge explosion in the centre of the battle.

"OH MY!" Vivian said bracing herself, "THAT WAS SOME AMAZING ATTACKS!" Beep!!! "AND ALSO THAT'S TIME!"

Mark and May gasped, as they turned, well everyone turned to the score board which as the smoke started to clear... The points showed that Mark has a inch more than May. So Mark won and he made it to the next round.

May made it to the Top 8 of the Hoenn Grand Festival.

May was a bit down from losing, but since she was now a good sport she told her Pokémon that they did a good job and congratulated Mark and to her surprise she got a big round of applause from the audience because of how her and her Pokémon battled.

Next was Luna and she was up against a girl named Leah; her Pokémon where a Beautifly and a Gorebyss but she defeated them with her Masquerain and Grumpig.

Robert and Drew both defeated their opponents, so they move onto the next round. The semi-finals!

So now the gang were resting in the Pokémon Centre after the Top 8 rounds were finished.

"How are you feeling May?" Luna asked.

"Well I must admit I had hoped that I would win in this tournament." May said.

"Oh, I really didn't think about winning my first League May." Luna admitted.

May was shock, "Wha-"

"To be honest I was only thinking about trying my best in the league how much I've improved over my gym battles." Luna smiled, "I also love to have fun with my Pokémon, so I didn't mind if I lose at least I tried."

"But you won the league." Max pointed out.

"It's was quite surprising for me as well."

"But May you earn Top 8 which it isn't bad for a first time Grand Festival." Tomo continued making Luna smiled at her little brother words.

"Tomo is right May, you should be proud of yourself of what you've achieved." Caroline praised her daughter.

"Yeah and you can train hard again for the next Grand Festival, just like I kept training hard for the Johto League, just because I won doesn't mean I'm stopping. Keeping pushing yourself to the limit, beyond and forward." Luna said.

"You're right Luna," May said happily, "I will just continue working hard till I become a Top Coordinator."

Caroline, Luna and the boys were happy to hear that.

The next result was up and it was Robert against Mark, while Luna was against Drew.

"Well, seems like we'll have our battle after all Luna." Drew said from behind them, "I look forward to this." He walked off but not before tossing May a red rose.

May caught the rose, "Oh, um... Thank you." She said.

"Seriously..." Tomo and Brock said confused.

"Dude." Luna and Max said.

"Pi?" "Chipa?" (Play boy?)

"Oh my..." Caorline sweat dropped.

I'm really sorry for the long wait; I had difficulty of writing out the Hoenn Grand Festival, combo moves and others what is happening.
