Luna, Tomo, Pichu, Pachirisu and Growlithe were on the ship to the Hoenn region.

"I can't wait till we start our journey in Hoenn Winter." Tomo said he got use to it so far calling Luna, Winter.

"Neither can I Tomo," Winter said, "it will be great seeing all the Hoenn Pokémon and travelling to new places. And there's no doubt that our journey through the Hoenn region will be great like it was in Kanto the Orange Islands and Johto."

"Pichu." "Chipa." Pichu and Pachirisu said happily.

"Do you think that we will also meet any of the Legendary Pokémon in Hoenn too?" Tomo asked, "Beside Rayquaza, Latios and Latias."

"Actually Tomo I do," Winter said, "after all we have run into Legendary Pokémon before."

Tomo agreed.

By the afternoon hit, the ship docked and Winter and Tomo took their first step into the Hoenn region.

"Where do we go first?" Tomo asked Winter.

"We need to go and see Professor Birch in Littleroot Town," Winter said, "and we are in Littleroot town now. Oh but first." She took out one compact-disc-shaped devices from her rucksack.

"These are PokéNavs, Professor Oak gave it to me before we left. This one is for you these display maps of the Hoenn region, and we mustn't lose them either." Winter explained, "Professor Oak already gave me a map of Hoenn on my Xtransceiver when he updated it."

"Got it." Tomo said.

"So the one thing we need to know is how to get ourselves to Professor Birch's lab." Winter said.

"I'll get you two there." A voice said.

The voice belonged to a brown haired, chubby looking, man.

"Hey wait, aren't you Professor Birch?" Winter asked. "Professor Oak showed me a photo of you when I was at Pallet Town."

"That's right, I am Professor Birch," Professor Birch said, "and you two must be Luna and Tomo Light. Professor Oak told me about you two and that you were going to go on a journey here in Hoenn."

"That's right, but I go by Winter now to keep safe. Also to tell you the truth we can't wait to start our journey here in Hoenn." Winter said.

"I understand," Professor Birch laugh, "Professor Oak already told me why and the situation of you Lu- no Winter. I must say I'm surprisedly shocked seeing some as young as you that won two Conferences in a row."

Winter nodded.

Winter and Tomo got into Professor Birch's car and they were on the way to his lab.

"Hey Professor," Winter said, "Professor Oak told us that you give out starter Pokémon to beginning trainers."

"That's true I do," Professor Birch said, "as the matter of fact I'm giving out starter Pokémon to a new trainer today."

Tomo asked Professor Birch if they could see the starter Pokémon and he agreed.

They were soon at Professor Birch's lab and Professor Birch introduced Winter and Tomo to his assistant Joshua.

"The three starter Pokémon are all ready for when May arrives today Professor." Joshua said.

Professor Birch explained that May was the new trainer to pick up a starter Pokémon today. Then he released the three starter Pokémon from the PokéBalls to show Winter and Tomo.

The first Pokémon is a small, green, bipedal reptilian Pokémon. It has yellow eyes with long, narrow pupils. It's hands and feet each have three digits covered with tiny spikes. These spikes allow it to scale vertical walls with ease. Its stomach and throat are red. It also has a line across on its stomach resembling a pouch. It has a large, dark green tail with two separate lobes.

It was a Treecko and a grass type Pokémon.

The next Pokémon is a small, chick Pokémon with stubby, downy, yellow wings. Its body is covered with orange feathers. There is an orange and yellow crest on its head that resembles a flame. Its two thin legs and short beak of are a light brownish yellow, and the feet have three toes in front and one in the back.

It was a Torchic and a fire type Pokémon.

The last Pokémon is a small amphibious quadruped Pokémon. It has a blue body with a light-blue underside. It has a large head with a blue fin on top, and a light-blue tail fin. It has black, beady eyes and orange, star-shaped gills on its cheeks.

It was a Mudkip and a water type Pokémon.

Both Winter and Tomo thought they were all very cool Pokémon.

Professor Birch could see that Ash and Tomo liked Pokémon very much.

Seeing the Hoenn starter Pokémon reminded Winter and Tomo about the starter Pokémon in Kanto and Johto and they told Professor Birch all about how they got their starter Pokémon.

"Professor Oak and Professor Elm told me about that," Professor Birch said, "I find it surprising that you manage to catch all the starter Pokémon of Kanto and Johto Winter."

"I found it surprising myself Professor," Winter said, "but I wish to find and catch all three starter Pokémon here in Hoenn too."

"And I wish to have one too." Tomo said.

"I'm sure you two can do it." Professor Birch said.

Winter also admitted to Professor Birch that she and Tomo already had Hoenn region Pokémon on them. Tomo released Wynaut, Seedot and Shuppet from their PokéBalls.

Winter released Absol, Rayquaza, Latias and Latios from their PokéBalls.

Professor Birch was really shocked when he saw Latias, Latios and Rayquaza, he couldn't stop getting over excited.

Rayquaza roared softly while Latias and Latios became scared of Professor Birch and they turned invisible.

"What happened?" Professor Birch asked.

Winter explained that invisibility was Latias and Latios ability and that they were nervous around strangers.

"It's okay Latias and Latios," Winter said, "Professor Birch didn't mean to frighten you like that."

Latios and Latias reappeared, Winter returned all them back to their PokéBalls.

Professor Birch admitted that Winter was an incredible trainer to have Legendary Pokémon on her team.

It was at that moment that everyone heard a loud scream.

"What was that?" Winter asked.

"I reckon is that someone has run into the pack of Poochyena." Professor Birch said. He explained that a pack of Poochyena lived around the area outside Littleroot Town and they always caused trouble for anyone who trespassed in their territory. "We better go and help that person out right away." He grabbed the three PokéBalls and rushed out of his lab. Winter and Tomo followed him to help out.

Winter, Tomo and Prof Birch ran into the forest of Route 101 and there was a brunette haired girl being surrounded by a pack of Poochyena.

Poochyena is a quadruped Pokémon similar in appearance to hyenas and canines. Its body is primarily gray, with a black face, throat, feet, and belly. Its eyes have yellow sclera and red irises, and its nose is also red. Its lower jaw has two pointed teeth sticking out. The fur at the base of its tail is rumpled and shaggy. Poochyena has gray paw pads on its three-toed paws.

"Hold on May, I'll help you." Professor Birch called out. He was about to toss out a Pokémon from a PokéBall but then a Poochyena tackled Professor Birch, making him drop the PokéBalls.

Winter and Tomo grabbed a PokéBall each and sent out a Pokémon from them, Winter had sent out Mudkip and Tomo had sent out Treecko.

"Mudkip use water gun on the Poochyena and Pachirisu you help out too with thunderbolt." Winter said.

"Use pound Treecko," Tomo said, "and you use flamethrower Growlithe."

Pachirisu, Mudkip, Growlithe and Treecko did as they were told and the Poochyena ran away, except two.

Winter and Tomo decided that they would catch them, so Winter ordered Pachirisu to use iron tail on it and Tomo ordered Growlithe to use flamethrower again.

The two remaining Poochyena fainted from the attacks and the Light siblings caught them with empty PokéBalls.

"Our first Hoenn region capture." Tomo said.

"Yup and I have another Poochyena now." Winter said, she has two Mightyena and now a Poochyena.

After the trouble with Poochyena was dealt with, everyone went back to Professor Birch's lab.

Winter and Tomo introduced themselves to May.

May thanked them for helping her and she couldn't stop squealing over Pachirisu.

Winter and Tomo thought that she was like Misty and sigh.

"Well May, it's time for you to pick your starter Pokémon." Professor Birch said.

May had a look at Treecko, Mudkip and Torchic and decided on having Torchic as her starter Pokémon.

Professor Birch handed her a PokéDex and five empty PokéBalls.

"Winter, Tomo, you two may take Mudkip and Treecko if you wish." Professor Birch said.

"Huh?" Winter said, "but don't you need them for other trainers who are going to start their journey."

"We aren't going to have any more starting trainers here for the next two months," Professor Birch said, "and those two will be bored waiting that long. Besides you two did a great job with them against the Poochyena, so I think that Mudkip and Treecko will be happy with you two."

The Winter and Tomo agreed with Professor Birch's offer at once, Winter chose Mudkip and Tomo chose Treecko.

Professor Birch knew that Mudkip and Treecko would be happy with Winter and Tomo, like Torchic would be happy with May.

After that Winter and Tomo decided it was time to leave.

Professor Birch told them that they would need to go to Oldale Town for Winter to register for collecting gym badges.

So Winter and Tomo said goodbye to Professor Birch and May and left the lab to start their Pokémon journey in Hoenn.

Winter and Tomo were on their way to Oldale Town, where Winter could register to start collecting gym badges.

"We'll need to buy food for ourselves as well as other things," Winter said to Tomo, "remember Brock is not here to cook for us, so we'll be doing the cooking on our journey."

"I understand," Tomo said, "and it's a good thing that our ruck sacks are a little bigger than our old ones. We can carry more stuff in them."

Just then May ran up to them.

"Hey May, what are you doing here?" Winter asked.

"Well I was wondering if I could travel with you two," May answered, "the truth is I don't really know much about Pokémon, but you two do. So would you mind if you did travel with you?"

The siblings agreed.

"It will be nice to have company on our journey." Winter said.

"Pi." "Chipa." "Raf." Pichu, Pachirisu and Gowlithe agreed.

May explained that she wasn't really interested into becoming a Pokémon trainer, because she didn't like Pokémon that much and she just wanted to travel.

"You'll change your mind about being a Pokémon trainer later on," Winter said, "I've experienced many things during my Pokémon journeys for the last two and a half years, and I've enjoyed my journeys very much."

"Same thing with me," Tomo said, "and you will enjoy this journey too May."

May wasn't sure but she decided to believe in Winter and Tomo.

At that moment May saw something in the grass, it was an Azurill. Azurill was the pre-evolved form of Marill.

"That Pokémon is so cute, I want it." May said, but the problem was she didn't know what to do, she had no idea how capturing Pokémon worked.

Winter stepped in to help and she asked May to get one of her empty PokéBalls ready, then she ordered Pachirisu to use discharge on Azurill and Azurill fainted from the attack.

"You see you have to weaken Pokémon first with your Pokémon's attack, before you capture them," Winter explained, "then it will be easy to catch them in a PokéBall."

May understood at once, and then she captured the Azurill with her PokéBall, "My first Pokémon capture," she smiled, "thank you Snow." She was very grateful for Winter help.

May decide to call Winter, Snow because snow falls in winter and it sounds really cute.

Winter doesn't mind it much about the new nickname May given her.

Winter also explained that she used Pachirisu because electric types beat water types like Azurill, "Your Torchic wouldn't have been able to stand Azurill's water attacks, because fire attacks are weak against water attacks and water Pokémon beats fire type Pokémon but if you train your Pokémon your Pokémon might be able to withstand water attacks."

May realised that she really did have a lot to learn about Pokémon, but Winter and Tomo offered to help her learn.

Soon they were at Oldale Town and they were now resting in the Pokémon Centre.

Winter explained to May that a Pokémon Centre was a place where Pokémon and humans could relax, and that Nurse Joy takes care of weak and sick Pokémon.

While the gang was having dinner, May had a lot of questions for Winter and Tomo, "You two said that you have been on a Pokémon journey for two and a half years right?" She asked.

"That's right," Winter answered, "I started my Pokémon journey when I was ten years old and now I am fourteen years old. Together with Tomo and our old friends Misty, Brock we travelled in Kanto and Johto. And with our other old friend Tracey, Misty, Tomo and I travelled in the Orange Islands together."

"Wow you two certainly have been a lot together." May said.

Winter admitted to May that she and the others had been through a lot of trouble during their journeys because of what some bad people, like Team Rocket and poachers and burglars, had done, "So let us warn you May, you must always be careful when out on a journey. You can never be careful with what will happen later on."

May understood Winter's words at once.

After spending the night and having breakfast at the Pokémon Centre, it was time to leave.

Winter check her Xtransceiver to see where they had to go next, "It says that Petalburg City is on the way from here," she said, "so we shall head over there first."

"Got it." Tomo said.

May said got it too, but not as enthusiastic as Tomo.

So the journey was now beginning for Winter, Tomo and May.

Winter turned fourteen when she returned back to Pallet Town.

1. I think that Ash should have gotten his own PokéNav in the anime. So Tomo got one because Luna's Xtransceiver was like one too.

2. In the anime, Ash should have had all the starter Pokémon of Hoenn in the anime.
So here Winter will get a Treecko and Torchic too.

3. May should have gotten herself an Azuril in the anime as the Pokémon was cute enough for her.

4. Max will be getting his own Pokémon, so don't worry.

P.S: The Jade Orb will not be reacting for a while due to Luna using her aura to stop it from reacting. Don't worry the orb will react when Luna lose focus, like worrying a lot and from tired used of aura or strength.
