Y/N POV

That night I had fallen asleep in exhaustion, cuddled with Lafayette, laying my head on his chest. My new dog, which I had decided to name Eros, after the Greek god; who is basically another Cupid, was sleeping with his muzzle to my face and curled on the other half of Laf's chest.

Eros was snoring lightly, I smiled as I slept peacefully. I wonder what this makes us now? Hercules and John were secretly taking pictures of us while we slept.

(Damn paparazzi.)

I decided I would start Eros' trick and off-leash training after the prom, so tomorrow. He'll be such a great dog, I know it! Heck, I'm confident about it.

I woke up the next morning with Lafayette's toned arms wrapped around my small frame, I hum softly and felt his chest rumble.

"Mornin' shortcake." He murmured groggily in my ear, I rolled my eyes and shove his face away. "I don't want your soggy breath In my ear." I mumbled, sitting up.

I stretched my arms upward, yawning softly. "But you like my morning voice.." Laf purred, "It's true, I do. But I don't want your hot breath in my ear." I grumbled.

"Oh, but you're fine listening to my 'attractive' morning voice?" Lafayette chimed. "Yeah, pretty much." I winked at him, Eros sat up and stretched before hopping off the couch and sniffing around his new home.

"Laf," I murmured. "Yes, shortcake?" He cooed. "Why did you ask me to be your prom date when there were so many better options?"
I asked quizzically.

He furrowed his brows. "Because from the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew I just wanted to hold... to cherish the gem I had found." He sat up and looked me in the eyes, taking grasp of my hand and rubbing small circles with his thumb.

"I knew, I wanted to protect and love the gift the world sent me. And, you'd stolen my heart, Y/N, it's yours." Lafayette said sincerely, bringing my other hand to his chest, where his heart would be.

I let out a broken laugh. "Ha-" I sniffed and and Lafayette kissed a tear away tenderly. "Y/N I love you." He whispered and pressed his forehead against mine.

I smiled and peck his lips softly. "I love you too." I said softly, I could practically hear his smile.

Just then Eros jumped up in between us, beginning to lick our lips and chin. "Gross!" I laughed and began to wipe his slobber off. Lafayette chuckled and began to stroke Eros' head.

I pat Eros' sides and take him into my lap, rolling him onto his back and rubbing his belly. His leg kicked as I scratched it, earning a few giggles from me; Lafayette just watched us both, lovingly. Like he'd never seen such perfection in his life.

I sighed contently and stood up, heading towards the stairs. "Better get ready, prom starts at noon." I called over my shoulder to Lafayette, I heard a muffled 'okay'.

I called Eros, it took a few tries for him to realize that was his name, but he eventually got it. Eros came padding over to me and followed me upstairs.

I entered my room and waited for him to come as well, Eros let out a light bark and walked in. He jumped up on the bed with pricked ears, watching my movements closely.

I went to my closet and looked for different dresses that'd be nice for the prom. I sighed letting out a small frown.

I heard a grumbled and turned around, glancing around my room. The voice was vaguely familiar.

"Thomas? A-Are you under the bed?" I questioned, trying to hold back my laugh. He rolled out from under the bed and sat up, shooting me a playful glare. "I'm everywhere, get used to it." He claimed.

I chuckled and went back to looking for a good dress. He stood up and approached me. "Let's have a looksie.." he muttered, shuffling through my clothes.

"Not likely." He mumbled mad turns back to me. "We're going on a Mall run, accept it." Thomas barked and began to drag me out.

I groaned, "Laf watch Eros!" I shouted before I was pulled out the door. I heard a small chuckle.

I found a dress that I had liked but it was fucking expensive! Thomas insisted I get it, it worried me though, this dress revealed a lot of skin. (😏)

"Th-Thomas, no." "Thomas Yes." He growled, paying for the dress. "Laf will like it, you'll dazzle the room too!" Thomas chirped.

I sighed and let out a chuckle. "Alright... thanks Thomas." I said softly. "Of course." He grins.

I snuck the dress inside without Lafayette seeing, with the help of Thomas of course. We spent so long at the mall... I need to get changed fast!!

I quickly stripped down and changed into the dress as quickly as I could. I put on some gray heels that matched.

"Everyone welcome, your new prom queen, Y/N!" Thomas and Hercules exclaimed, clapping as I walked down the stairs.

Lafayette stood, He was in a black tux with a rose-gold tie. I smiled and his jaw dropped as he saw me. "What..? Do I not look good?" I whispered, looking down.

Lafayette's firm hand grabbed my jaw, making me look at him. Our lips were centimeters apart, I could feel his breath against mine as he spoke deeply.

"You look gorgeous. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." He growled, I blushed lightly at his tone. I smiled shyly and I could almost hear his smirk, he pulled away and watched me fondly.

"Yo lovebirds, we still have a prom to go to!" Hercules teased, I chuckled and tangled my arm with Laf's.

Thomas and James were going together, their arms also intertwined. Alex and John also were going together, they were holding hands.

I glanced around and nod. Hercules grins and we all left and got into his second car. (Jesus. Christ, Hercules. How rich are you?!)

We drove to the school and I swallowed nervously, what if I was just bullied all over again. I began to have an anxiety attack, breathing heavily.

Lafayette noticed this and looked at me with concern written all over his face. "Ma chéri, are you worried you'll be bullied.. at prom?" He says gently.

I nodded weakly. He sighed and hugged me, stroking my hair fondly. "You'll be fine, you have all of us to defend you. Besides, with me here, I won't let them near you." He murmured. I smiled and hug him back.

(BAM. IDEA! What if Y/N gets Eros trained as a service dog because she gains anxiety? Lemme know your thoughts.)

We got out of the car and walked up, I took a deep breath and put on a genuine smile. Thomas and James walked in first, Herc and Peggy next, and John and Alexander second to last.

Laf and I, walked in last. As Thomas predicted, I dazzled the room. I blushed in embarrassment and held onto Laf's arm tighter.

I walked over to the snacks, (*sigh* Me.) I grabbed a cookie and bit into it. It was soft and chewy, Lafayette watched as I ate in pure bliss.

I finished the cookie and Lafayette and I got some glasses of punch, I downed mine and Lafayette finished half of his.

A slow song came on, all the couples made their way to the dance floor—including Lafayette and I—grinning broadly.

He took one of my hands in his and I rest my other hand on his shoulder. He sets his free hand on my waist and we swayed gently to the beat; I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes, smiling contently.

A few more dances and we off drinking some more punch, Maria and her date, James, approached us.

"So I see you decided to show your worthless ass up, Hmm?" Maria hissed, looking me up and down. I frowned and look at my hands.

Lafayette arched a brow and stepped in front of me, some of our party noticed this and came over; talking to me in hushed voices.

"Just beat it," (Lemme know if you get the reference) Lafayette sneered. "You're waiting your time, she had friend who support her, unlike you and your fugly ass." Lafayette seethed, glaring at Maria and her date.

She gasped and scoffed, prowling away with James. Lafayette gave a victorious grin and turns to me.

Lafayette grabbed my chin and his eyes sparkled with affection, he kissed my lips tenderly. I smiled into the kiss and then there was an announcement, cutting us off.

We turned our attention to the speaker, Samuel Seabury. "And now.. your prom king and queen are..." there was a drumroll.

I watched curiously. "Lafayette and Y/N!" Everyone cheers and clapped. "What! We didn't sign up for-" I cut myself off and turned my attention to Thomas and Hercules; they were whistling and acting innocent.

I rolled my eyes and we made our way for He stage. Aaron and Theodosia smiled at us from the other side of the room.

Samuel and "King" George places the crowns on our heads, everyone clapped again. I smiled and curtsy, Lafayette grins and bowed.

We came home and I walked upstairs, I tore off my shoes and set them by the door. I pulled off my dress and got into some booty-shorts and a plain black, tank-top.

Lafayette walked in, somehow changed? Must be borrowing Herc's clothes. He chuckled at th weight before him, Y/N face-first collapsed on the bed.

He grins and shuts the door quietly. Laf then proceeded to crawl over me. I sighed and rolled onto my back, looking him in the eyes.

"You've been teasing me all night, gonna make it up to me shortcake?" He said roughly, staring down at me lustfully.

Eros was laying on his dog-bed on the floor, passed out. I blushed deeply as I stared at Lafayette, giving a weak nod.

He smirks and bent down to my neck...
