Chapter 7

(Disclaimer: I don't own Undertale and Haikyuu. They belong to Toby Fox and Haruichi Furudate. This book was made for fun)
(First person)

We walked in another room, this one was closed off by a door. It didn't seem to have some sort of lock on it but there were buttons on the side. Toriel walked over to the buttons. "The Ruins are powered by puzzles. To make things work, you need to solve a puzzle to keep going," she explained. Child's play, I thought. "Here let me solve this one," Toriel said and she stepped on the buttons in a pattern like way (I actually forgot how that puzzle was solved) and the door opened. I blinked in surprised and I heard Hinata murmured, "That's impressive." Stupid boke, I thought, feeling his fluffy hair. Why is his hair so dam fluffy and soft, I thought before shaking my head to erase that thought. "Follow me," Toriel said, walking out of the room and so I did. The next room had switches and small bridges across very small pools of water. We walked across to the end of the room but it was blocked by spikes. "This puzzle requires you to pull a switch to deactivate the spikes," Toriel explained while I was still processing the thought of Why the hell are there spikes here?! Anyone can die if they are a clumsy idiot! "Go on and do this puzzle," she suddenly said. I nearly jumped before answering with "O-ok..." "Worry not, I put notes next to the switches to help you find which one is the correct one," Toriel said, proudly. By notes, she meant literally telling me what the actual switch is, was my thought process as I pulled the right switch and the spikes disappeared. "Good job!" Toriel praised. I muttered a thank you and shifted Hinata a bit because I'm starting to get tired. Hopefully he wakes up on his own before I throw him off me to force him to wake up, he was getting on my nerves.

I kept bumping into many monsters that were mostly just Froggits (from whenever I checked their stats). They appear harmless, just startled so I spared them. Most of the monsters here are pretty weak so there was kind of no point of fighting them. That and my movements are slower with Hinata on my back. That moron, when is he going to wake up, I thought, so tempted to throw him off to force him to wake up. Toriel was no help, only saying a couple of useful things like how to watch out for the traps. The audacity of her though is when we reached a pathway covered in spikes. "How are we supposed to cross over?" I asked. Toriel shifted uncomfortably and I had to ask why. "This puzzle is the most dangerous one. One wrong move and..." she didn't finish. "So again, how are we supposed to cross over?" I asked, wondering if she has any bad experience with this puzzle. "Well I know where we're supposed to go but the spikes only go away when one steps on the correct spot. After they moved, the next person has to step in the exact spot before the spikes come up again," Toriel explained. I was waiting for her to elaborate and she sighed, "you need to hold hands with first person in other words me." "WHAT!" I shouted. Hinata murmured, "too loud," and turned his head to another sleeping position, his hair brushing against my neck. I looked away and pretended to scratch my cheek but I really was checking to see if I was turning red or something. Just fricking wake up boke, I thought. "I know this may sound uncomfortable, holding hands with a stranger but if you wish to hold onto something else such as my sleeve, you are free to do so," Toriel explained. I silently swore, hoping that she didn't hear me muttering a few choices of words. That would probably not end well for me for she acts like a mother or a grandmother.

"Fine I'll hold onto your sleeve, but just your sleeve. Got it?" I said, holding up my pointer finger. She nodded and I held onto her sleeve while still holding onto Hinata with my right hand. We walked onto the puzzle and while we were doing this, I was silently wishing that Hinata would wake up and get off me so I don't have to carry him all the way to her house and possibly the exit. We managed to cross the puzzle and I let go of her sleeve. Whether she wanted to say something to me was up to debate but I entered the next room with Toriel behind me. "Oh I forgot to do something. Can you wait for me real quick?" She asked and scribbled something down on a piece of paper and handed it to me before walking away without even hearing my answer. I stared at her in disbelief while many colorful phrases went through my head. Well I can rest a bit at least, I thought. I went to a pole and set Hinata down so he'd lean on it. Finally, my back is killing me, I thought, stretching. I sat down next to him, catching my breath. Dam it! When I get back, I'm going to kill that beanpole guaranteed, I thought angrily. Ah, but you took that bet, a small voice said. I told it to shut it. I sat there for what I felt like an hour. I took a look at the piece of paper and the writing. It had numbers on it and only then did I realize that it was a phone number. I sat up straight and let out a gasp. Shoot why did I forget? I have my phone with me, I thought. I grabbed my bag and took out my phone before hesitating. Will it work? I tapped my finger on it, asking myself if I should try to call a familiar number. I decided to try and call Sugawara before I chicken out. You see, Sugawara gave us first years his number in case of an emergency and I suppose in this case, this is an emergency. I tried calling him but it wouldn't go through. I got a notification that calls like that wouldn't work here and that I should try again. I grumbled to myself and stuffed my phone back into my bag with Toriel's number. I got up and tripped over Hinata who for some reason was sprawled on the ground still sleeping. That is until I tripped over him. "NO share the meat buns!" He cried out but then looked at me. "Why are you on the floor?" He asked. I got up and whacked his head. "OW! I just woke up and that's how I'm greeted," he yelped. "Get up, we're getting out of here," I said, picking up my bag. "Huh, out of where?" Hinata asked. "Don't you remember?" I asked and he put on a thinking face. "Well I remember being attacked by a flower and seeing something fuzzy but that's it," he said. He then looked around and asked, "Where are we exactly?" "The Ruins," I said simply. Hinata looked confused but I grabbed his arm to pick him up. "Get up, we're going. I'll explain it to you on the way," I said. "Ok ok, geez. I'm getting up," he said, steady on his feet.

After explaining it to him, he seemed to understand it even with that thick skull of his. "So this goat lady, Toriel right, just said that she needed to do something and just left us here or back there?" Hinata asked. "That's right," I said. "Did she leave you with anything?" He asked and I took out the piece of paper and showed it to him. He took it and looked. "It's a phone number. What good could that bring us?" He asked. "Well..." I took out my phone and showed it to him. "You had your phone with you this entire time?!" Hinata exclaimed in disbelief. "It won't work on calls for the outside. Believe me, I tried calling Sugawara and the call didn't go through so I'm not sure if he got it or not," I explained. Hinata looked at my phone and the piece of paper. He kept looking back and forth. "Oi, what's up with this?" I asked but then Hinata took my phone away. "Hey!" I yelled trying to grab it but Hinata surprised me with, "Let's try calling her. Maybe this time, it'll work." He punched the numbers in and put my phone to his ear. "She does know my name right?" "Yes you moron," I said. He rolled his eyes and waited. After a few minutes, I said, "Hinata, I don't think she's going to pick u-," "Kageyama, she picked up," Hinata suddenly whispered. "Hello?" He asked while I stared in disbelief.

(Yep this is finally done. This took a lot of energy to do since I had to do homework and I was reading another fanfic. If a lot of the points on here seem like a meh, that's probably why. Next chapter will be coming out when I feel like it so watch out for that. Cya in the next one -Flare!)
