Chapter 4
(Disclaimer: I don't own Undertale and Haikyuu. They belong to Toby Fox and Haruichi Furudate. Also no picture this time. I couldn't find a perfect one for this chapter.)
We kept walking up the mountain, looking for objects that didn't seem familiar to us but couldn't. Hinata was quiet most of the time, only ever speaking to point out an object before we both realized that object would be a waste of our time. After a while, "Kageyama, I'm tired can't we rest for a bit?" Hinata asked. I stopped and looked at Hinata who was swaying, his eyes half closed. "Fine but only because i don't want to explain to Sugawara why you refuse to come to practice," I replied. Hinata smiled and sat down on one of the stairs. I sat down as well, taking out my bag. Hinata took out his as well and we ate a small snack. To my surprise, Hinata didn't say anything while we were doing this. Guess he really doesn't want to leave, I thought. Then he let out a sigh, "This is a waste of time. School starts in an hour why can't we go back?" Or not.
"Listen I told you already. We can't leave until we find something unfamiliar," I explained. "This is stupid. Just let it go, I won't tease you about your fear again if that'll make you feel better," Hinata argured. I threw something at him, I didn't want to argue with him. He let out an angry grunt and turned his back at me. We finished up and kept walking up. Hinata sure didn't seem happy with me but he kept tagging along. I wonder why. At last we stopped at an entrance of what appears to be the inside of the mountain. It was purple and was decorated with carvings of some mysterious animals and a weird symbol. A sphere with wings and three triangles on the bottom.
I run my fingers on the carvings and studied them. "I wonder what do they mean?" Hinata asked. I shrugged and looked at the entrance. "You're not planning on going in are you?" Hinata asked. "No! ...why do you have a stick?" I asked, noticing the stick in his hand. "I dunno, felt like it," he replied. I rolled my eyes. "Moron," I muttered under my breath. I folded my arms and was in deep thought. I didn't noticed Hinata go in until I spotted the back of his fluffy orange hair. "You idiot get back here!" I called out to him. "Come on there may be something here so we can go back," Hinata said. I silently swore as I followed the small boy. Hinata kept poking things with his stick. After a while I said, "There's nothing here." "This was a stupid waste of time. When we get back, I'm blaming it all on you," Hinata said. "Oh come on! You seriously are an idiot!" I pointed out. "Who's more idiotic? The idiot or the person who follows him?" Hinata questioned. I stayed silent for I didn't have an immediate answer. "That's what I thought," Hinata said, turning to face me while walking backwards. "Stop mocking me," I hissed, making my hands into fists. Hinata smirked obviously happy that he bested me. That boke, I thought. "Stop walking backwards," I said. "Aww are you worried about me?" "No!" Hinata crossed his arms, oddly still holding the stick. "Look you're going to fall and hurt something. If you do before our practice game this week, I'll kill you," I growled. "Pfft, I won't hurt myself Kageyamaaaaaaaaa!" Hinata yelled as he disappeared from my sight. "Hinata!" I yelled, running towards where he last went. What I didn't noticed was that there was a big hole and I ran at it. I didn't realized that until I noticed that I was not touching solid ground. I looked down and saw the hole. Oh cr-, I thought as I fell. The air whipped by me and I kept falling. I'm going die! I'm going to die! I'm going to die! I thought. I shielded my soft underbelly so if I do somehow survive, at least I won't suffer a gut injury. Is this how it ends?! I'll never be able to play volleyball again, I thought. I spotted something golden below with a small figure underneath me. Many thoughts ran through my head as the golden objects were getting closer. Then I hit something and I let out a grunt.
I just layed there, processing on what just happen. I'm not dead aren't I? I wondered. I pinched my arm and felt the sting of pain. Nope not dead, did I break something, I thought. I moved my wrists and just noticed that they were scratched but not broken. I think I'm fine, I thought. I was busy with my thoughts that I didn't noticed the small figure squirming. And that I was right on top of him. I quickly got off of him and Hinata sat up. "Wh-where are we?" He asked.
(Phew I have promised and delivered. Chapter 4 was a roller coaster to write. Had keep changing my mind on what I think is better. Also new writing format. Finally put multiple paragraphs instead of just one. Sorry if the falling part was eh, I wasn't quite sure write. And yes that is the Deltarune that Kageyama and Hinata found in the entrance. And yeah the entrance is different from what all the sources tell us, I just wanted a new twist on it. What do you guys think? Enjoy your day -Flare)
