Chapter 3
(Disclaimer: I don't own Undertale and Haikyuu. They belong to Toby Fox and Haruichi Furudate. )
(First Person)
I was walking towards Tsukishima who was leaning on the side of a bridge. "Where's Yamaguci?" I asked, realizing that I didn't see him at all yesterday. He's always hanging around Tsukishima so it was odd to see them not together. "I told him to wait for me for a bit," Tsukishima replied. "That's kind of cruel of you. He is the only one who follows you and possibly the only one that actually likes you," I muttered. Tsukishima seem to have pretended not to hear as he pushed back his glasses. "Alright King, remember you have to climb that mountain and bring back something that can only be found there. Shouldn't take you that long," he said, pointing at the mountain. Who does he think he is? I can clearly see the mountain, I thought bitterly. "Good luck, hope you packed a few things," Tsukishima said, getting up from his spot and walking away. That's it? Thought he might give me something else like I don't know an insult or something, I thought. I shifted my bag to a more comfortable spot on my shoulder. I felt my heart beating hard against my chest. Calm down, I told it and took a step on the bridge towards the mountain. I swallowed and kept going, hoping that nobody will see me.
I must have walked far enough to get to gate that seemed closed off. Not by man but closed off by thorns and branches. How long has this mountain been here, I wondered. I studied the gate carefully to see if there was an opening to get in. I carefully touched the handle and tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. I looked at the handle and saw that it was rusty which is probably the cause of it not budging. Guess I'm doing this the hard way, I thought. I walked to the left of the gate where some bushes appear to be. I brush aside some leaves and spot an opening that seemed recently made. Who could have made this, I thought. The opening appeared small enough for a child to enter so I brushed aside some branches and leaves to make the opening wider. It was a messy job but the opening now seemed big enough for me. I got up and brush aside the leaves that were on my uniform. I probably won't take long just trying to find an object out here, I thought. I put my bag through the hole before entering myself. It didn't feel comfortable at all, I had to suck in my stomach just to make room for me to keep moving forward. At last I made it through. I picked up my bag and brushed the remaining leaves that were on me. I looked the steps leading up to the mountain. They appeared old. I stepped on one to make sure it wouldn't crack at the simplest step and it didn't. I stood on it, still feeling very cautious but the steps did not collapse. I let out a deep breath and went up a few steps before I heard a squeak behind me. I quickly turned around thinking of some excuse to say when I noticed the orange hair.
A lot of colorful phrases went through my head but the one that came out was, "What the hell are you doing here?" Hinata looked at me and replied, "I'm stuck." He's here. Great what do I do now, I thought. "Hinata boke, how are you stuck? I made the opening bigger," I said. Hinata looked back at the opening and tried to get out but he let out a gasp of pain. "Help me, I'm stuck," he simply said. I facepalmed and went over to help him. I brushed side some branches that were in the way and spotted that one of them was very close to dig into Hinata's skin. I removed the branch so it wouldn't scratch him. He beamed at me and started to get out but I shoved him in the opposite direction. "H-hey don't do that, I wanna come with you," he exclaimed. "No, I'm doing this alone," I said. Hinata glared at me and started to go through the opening but again I shoved him back. "Kageyama you're so stubborn, just let me go with you," he said. "Who are you calling stubborn!" I yelled at him, grabbing his hair. Hinata let out a yelp of pain and shoved his way through the opening and crashed right on top of me. He sat up, arms crossed with a determined look on his face. "I'm going with you and that's final," Hinata said. I let out a groan and looked at the morning sky. Why did I even took that bet, I thought. "Is that an invitation to punch you?" I asked, looking back at Hinata who kept his determined look. "You're not going to talk me out of it. I'm going with you," he replied. I shoved him off me and got up. "Go home." "No." "Why?" "..." I turned to see him thinking of the right words to say. Either that or I'm scaring him with my face again. "Have a nice life," I said, picking up my bag and turning away to walk towards the mountain. I heard running footsteps towards me and next thing I knew Hinata was standing right in front of me with his hands out in a stop gesture. "Look, I was thinking about what happened at the end of practice and I couldn't sleep at all. If... if anything were to happen to you, I'd never live with myself. Just please....just let me come with you!" He explained and put his hands together in a some sort of begging sign. I looked at him and thought about what he said. I mean it wouldn't hurt having another person with me searching but... I let out a sigh of defeat. "Alright fine." Hinata looked up and asked, "What?" "I said it was fine, you're free to tag along," I explained, hoping to get that through his skull. Hinata looked surprised but happy. "Alright! I promise I won't get in the way," he said happily. "Hold up! On one condition." "Huh?" "I don't want to hear you talk loudly or talk at all until we find something or we are on the top of the mountain. Keep your thoughts to yourself," I said, poking his forehead. Hinata looked at me in disbelief. "So I'm not allowed to talk unless I have something really important to say?" He asked. I nodded, "That's what I said." He folded his arms. "I guess I can do that," he said. "Great, now come on we're wasting time," I ordered and kept walking up the stairs. "Wait for me!" Hinata called out. "What did I just say?" I asked. "Oh right no talking," he muttered. I rolled my eyes. This is going to be harder than I expected, I thought.
(Welp done with that. Time really flies when you're having fun. I know Hinata appearing in a bush seems cliche but I wanted him to make an appearance sometime. Possibly shipping here but still unsure. Also any theories on who made the opening that Kageyama found? I wanna hear your thoughts. Chapter 4 may be coming out today. I wanna make the chapters whenever I have free time everyday as I hope but who knows. Also I apologize if I get any of the names wrong, I'm still new to the show. Anyway cya in the next one! Have a nice day -Flare)
