   I'm just a normal high schooler. Just a normal volleyball player. So...HOW IN THE NAME OF ASAHI DID I END UP ON AN ADVENTURE WITH AN IDIOT WITH MONSTERS AND MAGIC OF ALL THINGS!!! Maybe I should step back a bit and explain things. I guess I can start after me and my teammate Hinata were practicing on our own after practice. I tossed a ball at him and he attempted to spike it only to get hit the face.

That moron, I thought. "Hey step up your game Hinata," I said. "Alright. One more!" Hinata said, his eyes filled with determination. I rolled my eyes at him. I set a toss at him and he actually spiked it. "That was better," I admitted. Hinata smiled, obviously proud of himself. "I wanna try again Kageyama," he said. "No." "Why not?" "Because Sugawara and Daichi will get mad at us if we sleep in late and arrive drowsy at morning practice," I explained for what I felt was the millionth time. "Awwww," he pouted. "What are you a child?" I asked. "I'm not a child!" He yelled. "Well you act and look like one you boke!" I yelled back at him, grabbing his hair. "Ow! Alright alright, I'll go home now, can you let go?" Hinata asked. I let go of his hair and watched him as he went to pick up the volleyball. I felt a chill run down my spine. I felt like I was being watched. I turned around and spotted a woman who was watching us. As our eyes met, she looked away and limped away. I felt like ice was on my spine and I didn't notice Hinata walking up to me until he asked, "Kageyama are you ok?"

I jumped and whirled around to face him. "Wow. Did I scare you?" He teased. I whacked his head and he yelped in pain. "Idiot, you didn't scare me... who was that?" I asked. "Oh that woman? I don't know her name but I heard that her story is quite sad. Her daughter got lost in the woods and apparently went up the mountain right there," Hinata explained, pointing to a large ancient looking mountain. "What's so dangerous about that mountain?" I asked. "Those who fall down there are rumored to never come out alive," Hinata replied. "... explain." "Look I don't know the full details but my parents told me and Natsu to never climb up that mountain because if I fall down, I'll never return to the surface," Hinata explained. "I mean you are pretty scrawny so I wouldn't be surprised if you did fall down because of a breeze," I said. "Shut up! I'm being serious Kageyama. Many of the older people are telling us to never climb up there. Something about a legend," Hinata said, his eyes being serious. "I'm sure most of it is superstition. Maybe that girl just died from falling," I said, trying to sound reasonable. "That's the problem, we may not know if they are alive," Hinata pointed out. "Wait they?" I asked. "Oh I didn't tell you. I think at least eight kids fell down that mountain, never to be heard of again," Hinata explained. He then looked at me funny. "W-what are you looking at me like that for?" I asked. "You seem terrified," Hinata replied. "I'm not!" I yelled. "I dunno, you seem terrified. Like all life has drained from your face," Hinata pointed out. I whacked his head again. "SHUT UP!" "Ow, that hurts! You're being mean again," Hinata pouted. I grabbed my bag and walked away. "I'll see you at school," I said waving at him. "Ok bye!" He called out. Stupid Hinata. Why does he think I'm afraid of such fairytale, I thought. However, much of what he said seem to make me feel cold. Why do I feel this way? No way I'm scared of just a story, I thought. I shook my head. "No, don't think that way," I muttered. What I didn't noticed at the time was that I was being watched again...and it didn't appear human.
