Cries of a baby came from the delivery room of the hospital.

Shikumi Nara, the heiress of the Nara clan squealed in delight. "I'm a sister!!! Dad, I'm a sister!!!" She jumped on Shikaku Nara, who chuckled at his 11-year-old daughter's antics. The father and daughter headed into the delivery room where Yoshino Nara held a crying baby boy in her arms.

"It's a boy, Shikaku-sama," The nurse smiled.

"As my mother's son he's going to be very handsome!" Shikumi giggled.

"Hey! What is that supposed to mean???" Shikaku smacked his daughter's head playfully with tears of joy in his eyes.

"Oh my god! Dad's gonna cry!!!" Shikumi shouted.

Yoshino smiled at her husband who wiped away his tears. "What are we gonna name him?"

"Shika..." Shikaku rubbed his chin in thought.

"Oh! Oh! What about Shikamaru?" Shikumi suggested.

"Well then..." Shikaku ruffled his daughter's hair. "Shikamaru Nara it is."

----------------||1 year later||----------------

"Fugaku-san," A 12-year-old girl with black hair recognized as Shikumi Nara rushed up to the Uchiha clan leader, Fugaku Uchiha. The Uchiha smiled slightly at the girl and turned around to greet her.

"Good afternoon, Shikumi." Fugaku smiled. "Where are you headed?"

"Hmm....I heard that Itachi just finished his mission today so he might come to you," Shikumi said. "I'm sure you're proud of him, graduating at such a young age."

"Indeed. I'm very proud." Fugaku smiled. "Still, you are better. Shikaku must be proud of you too. You became a Jonin at 8. That's far more amazing than Itachi and the Hatake."

"E-Eh...I-I...." Shikumi blushed madly at the compliment.

"Father!!!" A voice suddenly came from behind. They turned to see Itachi waving to them. "Shikumi-nee!!!"

"Hi, Itachi-chan!!!" Shikumi smiled and ruffled Itachi's hair.

"Itachi," Fugaku smiled. "Back from your mission?"

"Yeah!" Itachi nodded. "Hehe, That's my Itachi-chan!!!" Shikumi hugged the Uchiha tightly. "Let's go get your favourite snacks!"

The three headed to the dango shop only to see a 'SOLD OUT' sign.

"Aw man....troublesome," Shikumi sighed. Itachi slightly pouted.

"Itachi!" A girlish voice came from their right. They turned to see a girl with dark brown-ish hair.

"Izumi!" Itachi put on a surprised look.

"Ooh, look who's girlfriend is here~" Shikumi whispered into Itachi's ear, making him blush.

"I- I-" He stuttered.

"Whatever! Go! Your girlfriend is calling you! Go spend your time with her!" Shikumi shoved Itachi forward.

"S-She's not my girlfriend!!!" Itachi whisper-yelled at the Nara girl, his face reddening. Looking down with a red face, he slowly walked towards the girl. They chatted for a while and headed to the Uchiha compound.

"Mind if you come to the Uchiha compound for a training with Itachi later?" Fugaku asked.

"Of course!" Shikumi smiled with an evil glint in her eyes. "Can I go now, Fugaku-san?"

"Of course," Fugaku nodded. "Well, I'll be going now. See you later. Join us for dinner, if you don't mind."

"Sure! I'll tell the lazy-ass!!!" Shikumi smiled, referring to Shikaku. Fugaku chuckled, nodding and went away.

-----||With Itachi and Izumi||-----

"Well...I'm not sure what you like so...I uh...bought some dangos..."Izumi blushed, looking down at the pack of dangos she bought. "But well you graduated from academy so fast and you're first in class so you probably won't have a sweet tooth..."

Itachi looked away, blushing. He hated to admit it to the female Uchiha, but dango was his favourite snack.

"Well...since you don't like it, I guess I'll eat it all myself!" Izumi smiled and started biting into the dangos.

Itachi watched as his friend bit down the dangos one by one. Just as she was about to finish the last one on her first stick, Itachi snapped his head at her, glaring at her furiously. Izumi sweatdropped.

"So...you like dangos?" Izumi tilted her head. Itachi blushed and nodded slowly. "Well...just great! Let's share it together!"

Itachi gasped in happiness and nodded vigorously. He took a stick of dangos and stared eating along with Izumi.

"Ah....my baby!!!" A certain Nara squealed as she watched the two from a distance. "My baby Itachi has a girlfriend!!!"

She took out a camera and grinned. "I may seem like a creep, but oh well..."

"Snap"

"Yes!!! Perfect shot!!!" Shikumi grinned at the picture of Itachi and Izumi sharing dangos. "Yosh!!!! Time to put this in my room!!!"

-----||Time Skip||-----

A masked man with silver hair could be seen walking down the streets with a certain orange book in his hands. Looking closely, a barely visible tint of pink was on his cheeks as he giggled quietly at his book.

"KAKASHI!!!!!!" Shikumi suddenly leaped on the man, causing him to fall down with his face flat on the floor. She rolled to the ground laughing, ignoring the villager's weird looks. Kakashi groaned and rolled his eyes. He dusted his shirt and examined his precious book. He sighed in relief when he saw that none of the pages was torn.

"Why do you keep reading that goddamed book of yours?" Shikumi deadpanned at Kakashi, only to be ignored. "Oi...OI!!!!!"

"Sorry, what did you say?" Kakashi asked, tilting his head.

"YOU LITTLE-" Shikumi growled and sighed, massaging her temples. "You know what? Nevermind."

With that, Shikumi stomped away, leaving Kakashi going eye-wide.

"Wait, wait!!!" Kakashi shouted and ran after her. Shikumi smirked and turned back to him.

"Don't ignore me next time!" She huffed and flicked Kakashi's forehead. "Now, let's go find Shinko-chan!!!"

Kakashi sighed. He didn't know why, but he just had the feeling that he had to obey this girl's 'orders'.

-----||5 years later||-----

The door of the Nara family's house opened and Shikumi came in, sighing.

"Man...I'm so tired." She yawned. She was about to slump onto the couch when- "TO THE BATHROOM, NOW!!! DO NOT SIT ON THE SOFA!!!!"

"Okay, OKAY!!! Troublesome..." Shikumi groaned and headed to shower.

-------------------------------

"Where's my Shika?" Shikumi asked as she sat down at the dining table.

"He's probably out with his friends," Yoshino replied and sat down with her daughter.

"Im'ma go get some snacks," Shikumi said and looked into the refrigerator. "Oh, By the way! I have a mission this evening. An S-rank one."

"S-rank?" Yoshino tilted her head. "Well, stay safe, okay? Remember to bring your bla bla bla bla bla..."

Shikumi blinked as she listened to her mother nag and nag and nag and nag."Got it, Kumi?"

"Uh....yeah...?" Shikumi tilted her head. "I'll be gone for 2 weeks. This will be longer than the last one. Can't I see Shika?"

"Well...I don't know where he is," Yoshino shrugged. "You can go find him, but...you're gonna be late if you do."

Shikumi's head snapped towards the clock and her eyes widened. "OH SHIT!!! GOTTA PACK!!!"

After packing all her stuff, she bid goodbye to her mother and headed to the gates for her new mission.

-----||Evening||-----

There was a creak as the door of the Nara house opened and another creak as it closed. "I'm back," Shikamaru yawned and proceeded to sit on the sofa.

"INTO THE BATH, NOW!!!!!!!" Yoshino shouted.

"Troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed and went to the bathroom.

"He's just like his sister and father," Yoshino shook her head, sighing.

||owo||

"Is sis out on another mission?" Shikamaru sighed as he played with a shogi chess piece at the dining table.

"Yeah," Yoshino answered and put a cup of water in front of him. "for 2 weeks."

"What a drag...this is going to be a boring week," Shikamaru tossed the shogi chess piece into the air and caught it with two fingers as it fell.

'Why am I getting a bad feeling about this...' He scratched his chin, thinking about his 17-year-old sister. He continued tossing the shogi chess piece and catching it as he stared out at the dark clouds through the window.

2 weeks passed 'quickly' for Shikamaru. He was bored out of his life with no one playing shogi with him except his father who could only play with him for around 2 rounds during the weekends.

He stared at the door with a bored look, waiting for his sister to return.

"Shika, you should go to sleep now. It's late. Your sister would probably be returning at midnight or tomorrow," Yoshino said.

"Fine...how troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed and went up the stairs to his bedroom.

1 day passed. Shikamaru sighed, sitting on the sofa. He's beginning to worry about his sister.

"It'll be fine. She came back 2 days late in a mission a few months ago, remember?" Yoshino assured her son, although she wasn't very sure herself either.

A week passed by. Shikaku had been sending out jonin teams to find Shikumi. Shikamaru rarely spent time with Choji and Naruto during that week. He just stared at the clouds with a frown, hoping she would come back soon.

It was evening and Shikaku came back home, calmer than he was during the whole week.

"You found her?" Shikamaru asked anxiously.

"No, not yet," Shikaku shook his head. "We have decided to stop the search. If we keep sending jonins out for one single person, our village will be highly affected. But the ninjas will still keep a watch for her when they're out on a mission out of the village."

Shikamaru wanted to protest but he knew this was true. They can't put the village under possible danger just because of his sister. But still...something seems off.

"Wait..." Shikamaru began. "That time when there was a missing ninja, you sent people searching for him for 3 whole weeks," Shikamaru said. "Until he was found."

"You can still search for her," Shikamaru protested. "Unless...something happened." He narrowed his eyes. "Where is she?"

"...We don't know, Shikamaru." Shikaku said.

"You're clearly lying," Shikamaru said. "What happened to Shikumi-nee?"

"I said I don't-" "YOU'RE LYING!!!!" Shikamaru shouted with tears. "WHERE IS SHE!?"

Shikaku jumped slightly. He had never seen his son shout, never.

"I-I just w-want my sis b-back..." Shikamaru stuttered, sobbing silently.

"Shikamaru..." Shikaku inhaled some air. Shikamaru looked up at his father with hope evident in his eyes.

"Your sister..." Shikaku began. "is dead."

--

"Your sister....is dead."

"W-What?" Shikamaru's eyes widened. "No...how can she..."

"We found a large pool of blood and her headband in a forest. We followed the trail of blood but it soon ended and there was no body. After taking some sample of the blood back and her headband, we tested the blood and found out it was hers. Medic nins followed us to the pool of blood and said she can't survive with this much blood loss unless someone helped her. They doubt she can even make it through an hour. So we came out with the conclusion that she's...dead," Shikaku finished. "We were going to tell you this soon."

Shikamaru's face expression was so helpless, hopeless and sad, so much his mother teared up and cried silently.

"This...is your sister's headband," Shikaku took out a headband that had some blood stained on the cloth. Shikamaru took it and walked out of the room slowly, ignoring his parents' sad gazes.

Dark clouds gathered outside as Shikamaru walked on the streets without any shoes on, holding his sister's headband. Rain started to fall. He reached out his hand and the raindrops fell into his palm. He looked at the raindrops and a reflection of his sister appeared. He looked up to see if she was there, but she wasn't.

"Shikumi-nee..." He choked out in tears. "She w-won't..."

The rain fell heavier and heavier. He could hear shouting in the distances and footsteps of people running to get back home. He fell to his butt and looked at the headband, now soaked.

He hugged his knees tight and sobbed. His cries could be heard in through the streets nearby, those cries of sorrow. The raindrops kept hitting him hard, as if kami was crying for his loss too. Cold wind blew, sending shivers down his spine. But he took no notice of that.

He sat there until the rain cleared, crying to his sleep.

-----||Time Skip||-----

It was a sunny afternoon on the day of the funeral.

"On this afternoon, we mourn the death of Shikumi Nara, who died on an S-rank mission...."

Standing in the front row was the Nara family, with Shikaku frowning. Yoshino hugged his son tightly, weeping silently.

Itachi clutched his brother's hand tight, tears filling his eyes. He regretted not spending time with his nee-san often. And now...he can never see her again. Mikoto rubbed soothing circles on his back, comforting him a little. Fugaku stood on his wife's right, silently mourning.

Choji stood next to his father, who stood next to Inoichi. Kakashi clenched his fists tight, crying that he lost someone again. If only...he was on that mission with her. Then she might not have died. 'Why does everyone I love...die..?' were his thoughts.

The Nara family placed their flowers in front of the empty coffin of Shikumi Nara, muttering their farewell messages.

Itachi knelt before the coffin and placed down his flower. "I'm so sorry, Shikumi-nee.... I should've been with you often..." A tear slid down his cheek. The other three Uchihas placed their flowers and comforted Itachi, bringing him away.

Choji and his father, and Inoichi placed down their flowers and left silently.

"..." Kakashi stared at the coffin with sadness in his eyes. He heaved a heavy sigh and knelt down on one knee. He looked down and whispered quietly, "I love you...Shikumi."

--

It has been 8 years since Shikumi died. Shikamaru sat in front of the K.I.A stone, staring at his sister's name.

Shikumi Nara

"I should've been home earlier to see her that time..." he sighed. He got up and dusted his pants. "Welp. Academy is a pain but I still gotta go. See you later, sis."

He headed to the academy with Choji behind him, munching on some chips. "This is such a drag..." Shikamaru yawned.

They kept walking until a sudden shout came from their right.

"Come ON!!! Kidiki-chan~ this is infinite torture!!!"

"Shut up!!!" A smacking sound was heard.

"What was that?" Choji asked. Shikamaru shrugged. "Let's go take a look," Choji suggested and pulled Shikamaru away, not waiting for a response. "Troublesome..."

(Thats a bit not like Choji but ANYWAYS)

They looked to see a black haired girl around the age of 20 with another girl with blue short hair. The blackette was anime crying and kneeling down before the other girl who had a tick mark on her head.

"This is infinite torture..." The blackette cried out.

"Get UP!!!" The blue haired girl pulled the blackette by her ear.

"Ita, Ita!!! Ah!!!! Eh, stop it!!!" The blackette shouted. "Kidiki-chan!!! Don't be mean!!!" She whined.

"We don't have all day, Rozuko! The scroll is supposed to be in Hokage-sama's hands by yesterday!" The blue haired girl addressed as Kidiki shouted.

"Fine, fine," The blackette now known as Rozuko grumbled.

"They're from Suna," Choji noted.

"What a drag...let's go..." Shikamaru sighed and walked away. The other two girls set off towards the Hokage mansion at low genin speed.

//Hokage Office//

There was a knock on the Hokage's door. Hiruzen looked up in surprise since people rarely knock on his door before coming in. "Enter."

Kidiki came in with a sighing Rozuko, holding a bag in her hands. "Ohayo, Hokage-sama. Why are you looking so surprised?"

"Well...doors are just decorations these days..." Hiruzen sighed as he put down his pipe. "Who's that behind you, Kidiki?"

"Hokage-sama, meet my sister, Rozuko Sunako," Kidiki introduced. There was a moment of awkward silence as Hiruzen and Kidiki stared at Rozuko who was looking around cluelessly.

"BOW, IDIOT!!!" Kidiki shoved Rozuko's head down, forcefully making her bow to Hiruzen. Hiruzen sweatdropped.

"I never knew you had a sister," Hiruzen smiled.

"Well...she was...adopted," Kidiki said.

"Well, I suppose the Kazekage has an important message for me?" Hiruzen sat up straight.

"Yep," Kidiki nodded and rummaged through her bag for the scroll. "There!"

"Thank you, Kidiki." Hiruzen smiled. "By the way, I think the both of you should have these," He opened a drawer and took out four scrolls. "These are what we call, storage scrolls, where we use the enclosing technique to steal stuff, even living beings in them. You can seal stuff in them instead of carrying bags around. Quite a few ninjas here use them."

"You're too kind, Hokage-sama," Kidiki bowed and glared at Rozuko. Rozuko got the message and bowed along. Hiruzen sweatdropped.

"Well, since she's new here, why don't you take her for a tour?" Hiruzen suggested.

"Weeeeeelllll, let's go, ROZU-CHAN!!! BYE AND THANKS AGAIN, HIRU-CHAN!!!" Kidki shouted and ran out of the office.

"And she's got a nickname for me," Hiruzen mumbled.

//Time Skip//

"This place feels familiar," Rozuko said.

"Maybe you've been here before," Kidiki shrugged.

Following her instincts, Rozuko swerved around roads with Kidiki trying to catch up from behind.

"Slow down, Rozuko!!!" Kidiki shouted.

Rozuko stopped as she arrived at the entrance of the Nara compound. "Nara..." she mumbled under her breath.

(GAH!!!! THE o WoRD N MY KEYBoARD IS BRoKEN AND ITS So HARD To TYPE GAH!!!! i HAVE To CoPY AND PASTE LIKE- GAH!!!!!! PLS DoNT CoRRECT ME IF IM MISSING ANY 'o's. )

Two glowing white figures appeared in front of her. one was as short as a 5-year-old and the other was around 15. They taller one hugged up the smaller one, twirling 'him' around. The smaller figure seemed to sigh as the taller figure told 'him' something and climbed onto the taller figure's back. Rozuko watched as the two ran away from her sight.

There was a sudden tap on her shoulder and the two figures disappeared. 'My...imagination?' Rozuko blinked.

"I F0RG0T(lmao)!!!!" Kidiki screamed as she shook Rozuko as hard as she can, making Rozuko want to puke.

"F-Forgot what?" Rozuko groaned.

"Y0U NEED T0 TRY THE DANG0S HERE!!!" Kidiki shouted and dragged Rozuko away from the Nara compound.

"What a torture..."

"Is this it?" Kidiki popped her head into a ramen stand. "Nope."

"This?" She looked into a candy shop. "Still no."

"Hmm..." she hummed, dragging Rozuko into a tea shop. A waitress with two silver braids looked up at them at widened her eyes. "Shi...ku..."

She shook her head and gave them a weak smile. "Welcome, what can I get you...miss...?"

"I'm Kidiki and this is my sis, Rozuko." Kidiki smiled. "Do you know where's the best dango shop here, miss...?"

"I'm Shinko," the waitress smiled. "I'd recommend the dango shop on the west side of the entrance. My friend...used to go there."

"Thanks!!!" Kidiki smiled and dragged Rozuko out.

"Bothersome..." Rozuko sulked.

---

Shimi-chan is sowwy. Shimi-chan was lazy. Dis is new update.

Very sadly, Shimi-chan's keyboard problem is not fixed yet. So for capital o, Shimi-chan will use 0.

"ROZUKO!!!!!!!!!!" Kidiki barged into her sister's room, making Rozuko fall off the chair in fright. The black haired girl rolled her eyes and glared daggers at Kidiki. "Could you PLEASE stop barging into MY room and interrupt my thoughts?"

"What thoughts?" Kidiki tilted her head.

"About before I lost my memories..." Rozuko sighed.

Kidiki frowned. "If it's bothering you, stop trying to figure it out."

"YOU..." killer intent seeped from Rozuko. "...are bothering me."

Kidiki chuckled nervously. "Well...mom says dinners ready, sooooooooooo.........BYE!!!!!!" she gave Rozuko an 'extremely realistic' smile and ran down the stairs.

"Bothersome..." Rozuko grumbled before walking down the stairs after her sister.

//Time skip//

"Oi!!! Faster!!!"

"What a drag..." A pineapple-headed boy sighed.

"I'm going without you!!!" A girl with a ponytail shouted and ran off.

"Hey wait- Ugh, troublesome.." The boy grumbled and walked at a faster pace. The scene suddenly disappeared.

"Finish her off." "Hai!" A black figure appeared and stabbed Rozuko through the stomach, waking her up.

"It's the same nightmare again..." Rozuko sighed, wiping off the beads of sweat rolling down her forehead.

She headed downstairs for a shower and sat at the dining table.

"Rozuko...are you alright? You look pale..." Her mother carresed her cheek.

"Yeah...just another nightmare..." Rozuko brushed away her mother's hand gently, slumping ito her chair.

"What about I ask Kazekage-sama to give you a day off?" Kidiki suggested, furrowing her eyebrows. "You look like you need rest."

"No...I'm fine," Rozuko stared at the ceiling, her eyebrows furrowed.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Shikamaru!!! Get me that egg!"
"What a drag..." the boy sighed and gave the egg to the teen.
"You're not doing it right!!!" A woman scolded.
"Tsk, troublesome," the girl grumbled. "Why do I have to learn cooking? Can't I just stick with being a ninja all day?"
"When you get a husband you'll know," The woman massaged her temples, muttering "God, Naras..."
~~~~~~~~~

"Shika...maru...?"Rozuko cupped her cheeks.

"Is there something wrong, dear?" Her mother asked.

"Nothing," Rozuko shook her head.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Fugaku-san!!!" The girl waved.
"Hn." Fugaku turned around.
"Can I see Itachi-chan today, please????" The 6-year-old girl pleaded.
"Hn...why not?" The older man smiled.
"Yes!!! THANK Y0U!!!" The girl squealed in delight. Fugaku chuckled gently and patted her head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Fugaku...Itachi..." Rozuko mumbled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Jeez, hurry UP, ITACHI!!!!" The 12-year-Vld girl shouted.
"W-Wait!" Itachi shouted, He checked to see if his shoe was fit and ran towards the girl. "Shikumi nee-san!!! Look, I graduated!!!"
"That's my Itachi-chan!!!" the girl poked his forehead. Itachi smiled at her happily.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Rozuko's eyebrows furrowed. 'Shikumi...Is this... before I lost my memories?'

~~~~~~~~~~~
"Where, where, where..." Shikamaru muttered, looking at the shogi chess board.
"Don't panic, don't fret. Think carefully," Shikumi advised. Shikamaru bit his lips then gave a sigh.
'Think carefully...'Shikamaru tapped his chin. There was a sudden glint of joy in his eyes. He moved a chess piece and smiled. "Checkmate!!!"
"See?" Shikumi grinned at her brother and poked his forehead. "You won!!!"
"Congratulations," Shikaku, who was watching nearby, smiled. "Even I always lose to her. You're growing fast, Shikamaru. Being able to defeat her in a game at your age."
Shikamaru sighed. He sat back down and turned serious. "Let's start another round. I think I know what all my mistakes were now."
"Heh, that's my lil' Nara baby growing there," Shikumi smiled warmly and rearranged the chest pieces.
"Shikamaru!" Yoshino called from inside the house. "Choji's here!!!"
"Ugh...fine, I'm coming," Shikamaru grumbled and ran into the house.
"Quick! Naruto's waiting!"
"What a drag..."
~~~~~~~~~

"Choji...?" Rozuko groaned in frustration. She's suddenly remembering ALL of this, and she's mentally tired.

"What is it?" Kidiki asked, concerned.

~~~~~~~~~
"How unlucky, miss." ten ninjas surrounded Shikumi, a slash on all of their hitai-ate's.
'I can't deal with this much at this time...' Shikumi panted, glaring at the rouge ninjas. 'And my chakra is almost used up...if I fight, I might die of chakra exhaustion...'
"Die!!!" 0ne shouted and tried to stab her from behind. Her eyes widened and she jumped out of the way, dodging the attack. Unknown to her, another ninja appeared behind her and stabbed her stomach with a sword.
She clutched the side of her stomach shakily, glaring at the 'leader' of the gang who had just stabbed her. "Finish her off," The man ordered. The other ninjas charged and the last thing Rozuko imagined was herself passing out from the attack.
"I-I..." She stuttered.
"Rozuko, what is it? You keep spacing out," Kidiki grabbed her arm.
"Before I-I lost my memories..." Rozuko began. Kidiki's eyes widened along with her mother's. "I was the clan heiress of the Nara clan...Shikumi Nara."
---
AHHHH IM ALREADY CRINGING SO BAAAD
---
Rozuko Sunako, or now known as Shikumi Nara stood at the gates of Sunagakure, holding back her tears.
"It has been a pleasure to work under your command, Kazekage-sama," She bowed.
"Suna appreciates your service, Rozu- Shikumi Nara. I hope you have a safe journey home," Rasa smiled slightly under his mask.
"R- S-Shikumi..." Kidiki mumbled, tears in her eyes. She leaped onto her 'sister', crying. "I'll miss you...."
"I'll miss you too, Kidiki. I promise I'll come visit, okay?" Shikumi hugged back.
"Feel free to visit whenever you want. We will welcome you with open arms," Rasa looked outside of the village to see a purple headed figure running towards Sunagakure's gates with a white headed figure beside her.
"Anko...Shinko," Shikumi whispered.
(Shinko Inari is Itachi's genin teammate while he was still in Team 2 under Yuki Minazuki in Konoha, and is one of Shikumi's closest friends IN THIS FANFIC.) (Pic above) (Pic below is Team 2) (ITACHI IS SO CUTE IKR)
"Halt!!!!" The Suna guards shouted.
"Stand down," Rasa ordered. The sand shinobi nodded and made a way for the two to come in.
"Shikumi!!!!" Shinko screamed with tears in her eyes as she hugged the Nara tightly. "I thought you were gone....I thought I would lose you..."
Shikumi's tears flowed down her face as she returned her best friend's gesture. She eyed Anko who smirked sadly at the two. The purple headed Jonin sighed and joined the hug.
"Oh, Shikumi...." She smiled.
The three friends reluctantly pulled away after kami knows how much time of hugging.
"Why are you here, Shinko? I thought you had quit as a ninja long ago," Shikumi tilted her head. "And I still remember seeing you in the tea shop last time Kidiki and I went to Konoha."
"W-Well....I got so excited when I heard that you were still alive so I convinced Hokage-sama to let me come here together with Anko," Shinko smiled. "But well...I might as well consider being a kunoichi again...."
"REALLY!?!?!?" Shikumi squealed in delight.
"Eh... Don't get so excited...we might not get into same missions since I'm nowhere near your level," Shinko sighed. "Even if I managed to become a kunoichi again."
"Nonsense, Shinko!" Shikumi shouted. "You are CAPABLE of becoming a great kunoichi. How else would you have passed the genin exam?"
"That's a whole different thing!!!!" Shinko pouted.
"Well, I admit I missed you two arguing and I would love to join you guys, but the Kazekage is watching here," Anko pointed out. The two girls' faces reddened and they bowed, apologising to the Kazekage.
"Here are the forms for Hiruzen," Rasa handed a file to Shikumi which she held carefully. "Again, visit anytime."
"Hai, Kazekage-sama," Shikumi bowed and turned to the Sunako family slowly with a sad smile. "Thank you for your hospitality during these years....Sunako-sama, Kidiki-san."
"C'mon, dear, no formalities! No matter what happens, we're still family. But you can call me uncle instead of dad, we don't want a war with the mighty Nara clan," Kidiki's father smiled.
"Of course...Uncle, aunt. And Kidiki-chan." Shikumi smiled. Anko wanted to pull the Nara clan heiress away but she didn't want to ruin the moment, so she decided to wait.
"Well, we should be going," Shikumi said after a few more goodbyes. "Bye, Kazekage-sama. Uncle, aunt, Kidiki-chan."
With that, Shikumi, Anko and Shinko set off to Konohagakure no Sato.
--------------//Time Skip//--------------
The three arrived in front of the Nara compound where they saw Shikaku pacing around. The Hokage was talking to Yoshino whose eyes were filled with tears of joy.
Shikumi's eyes stung. "M-Mom...D-Dad." Their heads snapped towards the younger Nara.
"Is that...really you...?" Yoshino said shakily.
"Shikumi..." Shikaku's eyes widened as he started tearing up.
"O-One of the rare moments where y-you would be crying, dad," Shikumi choked out, setting a smile on her face.
Yoshino stumbled a step forward before running to her daughter and swallowing her in a tight hug. "Y-You're so tall now..."
Shikaku took small steps forward and joined the hug.
"Your dad's grown old, hasn't he...." Yoshino smiled with tears.
"I'm so sorry I forgot...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." Shikumi repeated.
The Hokage smiled warmly at the scene and watched as they pulled away reluctantly, not before Yoshino caressed Shikumi's cheeks again.
"You had me worried to death..." Yoshino wiped her tears away.
Seeing as the family had nothing else to say, Hiruzen decided to speak. "Shikumi," He began. Shikumi turned towards the Hokage. "Hai, Hokage-sama?"
"About your little brother, Shikamaru..." He smiled.
"S-Shikamaru? Where is he now?"
"He's in academy. In the graduating class," Yoshino answered. "We thought you could give him a surprise."
"Though seeing as how he is friends with Naruto, he could be anywhere now," Hiruzen chuckled.
"Naruto? That cute little blondie?" Shikumi asked.
Hiruzen smiled. "Yes, that's Naruto. He's been causing a lot of trouble lately..." He shook his head.
"They're still friends? Well, that's good to hear," Shikumi smiled.
"Why are we standing under the sun, eh???" Anko grumbled. "It's so hot out here!!!"
Shinko shot a glare to her friend for ruining the moment and being rude.
"Ah, sorry, dear. Please, come in," Yoshino smiled, opening the door.
--
"Shikamaru will most probably be back soon," Yoshino said as she opened the fridge.
"Kay..." Shikumi stared at the shogi chessboard, tapping her chin. Shikaku sat in front of the other side of the shogi chessboard. 'His lance will move there, so If I move my knight there, I might get a chance...but then his silver general will....' Shikumi thought as she sighed. 'Wait...that's it.'
She moved a lance in front. 'I'll have to sacrifice my last gold general...but that's the only way.'
Shikaku looked up at his daughter. 'Sheesh what is she planning...' He scratched his cheek. He moved a knight, finishing off Shikumi's lance.
Shikumi smirked mentally. 'It's going as planned.' She moved her last lance forward and finished off Shikaku's knight.
Shikaku looked at the chessboard, thinking hard. He moved his bishop two the upper left, taking the place of Shikumi's gold general and tossing it aside.
'He fell for it!!!' Shikumi smiled. She moved a pawn and finished off Shikaku's king. Shikaku's eyes widened slightly.
"Good as ever, Shikumi. I see you haven't gotten rusty at all," Shikaku smirked.
"Man, I couldn't find a good Shogi player in Suna. It's frustrating," Shikumi stretched.
"Shikumi!!! Come inside!!!" Yoshino called.
"Hai, hai!!!" Shikumi groaned as she got out. She slid the door open. "What-"
She paused. And she looked down. There was a thump. A drop of tear shattered like glass as it dripped on the floor.
"nee...chan."
Shikamaru POV
For some reason, the sound of Choji's chips crunching made me irritated today. I was worried about something, yet I don't know what I'm worried about. It's just this feeling that makes you want to yell out loud.
"So...damn...troublesome..." I groaned, sighing for kami-knows-how-many-times.
"What's with you, Shikamaru?" Choji asked. "You've been sighing more than usual today."
"Nothing," I shook his head. We parted ways and I was about to enter my house when I heard dad's voice from the other side of the fence. It seemed a few meters away, but it was heard clearly.
"Good as ever, Shikumi. I see you haven't gotten rusty at all,"
Shikumi? I must have heard wrong right? Then another familiar voice that I haven't heard in years came.
"Man, I couldn't find a good Shogi player in Suna. It's frustrating,"
My eyes widened. I ran into the house and mom stared at me in surprise. Her gaze softened and she smiled. "Shikumi!!! Come inside!!!"
"Hai, hai!!!" The door slid open. That unforgettable footstep. That unmistakable voice.
I teared up.
"What-"
She froze. I froze. My breath was suddenly caught in my throat. My tears fell. Her tears dripped. There was a 'thump' as I dropped my bag. For a split second I seemed to hear our tears shatter as they touch the ground.
"nee...chan." I whispered.
"Shika...? Is that you...?" She cried quietly. I was too stunned to answer. She gulped and sighed, calming herself down. "Come here, you lil' precious baby."
I stumbled a step forward and ran towards her at full speed, swallowing her in a hug. Well, more like being swallowed in a hug, but I don't care. I hugged her first.
"n-n-nee...c-c-chan..." I spluttered out. Kami, I'm stuttering like Hinata now. "I-I missed you..."
"I'm sorry I came home late..."She mumbled, hugging me tighter.
"Y-You'll always come home right?" I stuttered, pulling myself away.
"Why of course," she poked my forehead with a little chakra, making me stumble back, smiling. "I'll always come home."
"Promise me?" I gave her a pinky. I know this is childish for a Nara and my age, but hey, my sister's back and I don't give a shit about being childish.
She chuckled before hooking my pinky and smiling warmly.
"I promise, I'll always come home."
1 week later
"Troublesome...I got into the same team as fangirl number2," Shikamaru grumbled.
"Whose fangirl?" I asked.
"Someone named Sasuke Uchiha..." Shikamaru answered.
"Oh, Sasuke-chan eh? Itachi's little brother? Hehe, he must look quite handsome to have fangirls," I giggled, muttering 'just like his brother'.
"Oh, by the way..." I took a sip from my cup of green tea. "How's Itachi doing? I haven't got any news from the Uchihas, and I had to sign a lot of forms that I couldn't pay them a visit."
"You don't...know?" Yoshino frowned.
"Know what?" I asked.
"The Uchiha clan..." Yoshino looked down. "Is massacred."
My cup shattered as it dropped on the floor. My hands trembled and my eyes widened. "What...?" I gasped out.
"Itachi killed his own clan," Shikaku said. My eyes widened even further, if possible.
"B-But w-why would he..." Tears flooded my eyes as my vision was blurred because of my tears.
There was silence, and I was stuck in my own world as they looked at me with eyes filled with concern.
"Shikumi-neechan, what's that? I see a lot of ninjas using them."
"Oh this? It's a shuriken, Itachi-chan!"
"Welcome to our compound, Shikumi."
"Arigato, Fugaku-sama."
"Even as the father of your friend, I feel very proud of you."
"You're such a nice and kind girl, Shikumi!!!"
"Ehe...Thanks, Mikoto-san."
"Here are some dumplings for you and Itachi to share, ne?"
"I-I see..." I choked out, holding back my tears. I squarted down to pick up the broken cup pieces. 'Itachi...why...Fugaku...Mikoto...W-Why...'
I inhaled from my nose and gave up. I let the broken cup pieces fall to the ground, leaving scars on my palm in the process. Tears flowed down my cheeks as my family rubbed soothing circles on my back.
"I-Itachi-chan...F-Fugaku-san...Mikoto-san..."
"Let it out, Shikumi...let it all out," Shikaku hugged me.
"Nee-san..." Shikamaru frowned.
"W-Why did they have to die..." I sobbed.
I leaned against my favourite tree trunk as I stared at the starry night sky. The wind brushed my skin and my hair was blewn along, moving slightly.
How long has it been since I sang?
I smiled, giving out a sigh.
Let's go see a world we can't reach on our own!
Beneath collapsing rubble,
Is a far-off memory, long forgotten.
Like a starry sky reflected on the water's surface,
You were gazing at me with perfectly clear eyes.
''Looks like we finally met! I've been waiting all this time.''
That moment in time on the verge of destruction... began moving again in this moment!
You provide everything that's most precious to me -
Even the happiness of loving, and being loved!
The promise we made when we were young,
Keeps us connected even now - always and forever!
So let's go see a world we can't reach on our own!
I looked down. I know I'm going to cry soon.
Ignoring the stains from our overflowing tears,
Let us face forward without hesitation.
Our constantly running bodies are heavy,
And this twisting view begin to break me.
''But I have a dream I want to see together with you!''
So I'll head right now toward that endless future!
All my precious things are shared with you
-Even the pain and sorrow of loss and loneliness!
The reason it's so heartbreaking that it hurts,
Is because we've experienced the warmth of kindness,
without fear. Let's go see a world we can't reach all alone!
The passing of seasons goes on without pause,
No matter how much the shape of this world changes.
I'll never forget,
That promise we swore with our fingers entwined.
Tears dripped down from my face. My singing turned into small whimpers with stutters. I buried my head into my arms, hugging my legs tightly.
"Nee-chan."
I gasped. Itachi? I turned around only to see Shikamaru standing at the door.
"Oh...it's just you, eh, Shika-chan?" I smiled. My cute little Nara brother walked towards me. I listened to the sound as his feet brushed across the grass of the Nara forests.
"I still love your singing," Shikamaru smiled.
I shook my head, chuckling. "You act so different in front of me." I brushed my hair with two fingers, turning to look a the sky again. "What kind of person is Sasuke-chan now?"
"He's a jerk...according to Naruto," Shikamaru shrugged. "Best in class. And has a stick up his a- butt."
I laughed lightly. "It seems my swearing skills has been passed down to my dear brother," I faked an old man's voice. "Ever swore in front of mom?"
"Never," Shikamaru smirked.
"Thank kami, I don't want mom killing me after I came back a week." I sighed in fake relief.
Shikamaru moved closer to me. I smiled and side-hugged him. We stared at the clouds until he fell asleep. Smiling, I caressed his cheek and kissed his forehead. I frowned as I stared at the sky again.
"Where are you...Itachi?"
FUCKKKKKK THE CRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGEEEEE I CANNOT- AHHHHH THIS IS TORTURE!!!
---
"Gai's team?" Shikumi tilted her head.
"Yes, you'll be their temporary sensei for a week since Gai has a mission to complete. Since I might make you a jonin sensei, this will be a good chance to see if you are capable of being a sensei," Hiruzen nodded.
"Alright then!" Shikumi stretched.
"Gai should be here soon-"
"HAVE YOU CALLED ME, HOKAGE-SAMA!?" A window was smashed and Gai came 'flying' in. Hiruzen almost got a heart attack and the ANBUs on watch appeared in a fighting stance at once.
"HOW YOUTHFUL, DEAR COMRADES!!! ALWAYS ON HIGH ALERT!!!" Gai smiled, his teeth shining. Everyone in the room sweatdropped and the ANBUs disappeared.
"Gai," Hiruzen called. "Yes, Hokage-sama?" Gai answered.
"Meet Shikumi Nara," Hiruzen introduced.
"Hi," Shikumi smiled with a wave.
"Nice to meet you, Nara-san! Where have I heard you before?" Gai gave her a thumbs up.
"Well that was about 3 years ago?" Shikumi tilted her head.
"Wait...SHIKUMI!?!?!" Gai's eyes widened. "KAKASHI'S GIRLFRIEND!?!?"
"I-I-" Shikumi's face reddened. "H-He's not my boyfriend. We're not in a relationship."
"Oh, I see! So what have you called me here for, Hokage-sama?" Gai asked.
"So, since you will be going on a mission soon, Shikumi here will be a temporary sensei for your team," Hiruzen explained. "Any questions?" The other two shook their heads. "Very well then. You are now dismissed."
As the two left the room, Hiruzen tapped his chin in thought. "Shikumi and Kakashi..." A tint of pink appeared on his cheeks and his nose started to bleed as dirty thoughts filled his mind.
The next day
"Oh, GAI SENSEI!!! Don't you worry!!! My flames of YOUTH will continue to burn!!!"
"OH, LEE!!! MY YOUTHFUL STUDENT!!!"
"GAI SENSEI!!!"
"LEE!!!"
"GAI SENSEI!!!"
Shikumi sweatdropped as she watched Team Gai from a distance. A boy with white eyes was eye-twitching along with a girl whose hair is tied into two buns. A mini-gai was crying and hugging Gai.
"L-Lee...you do realise Gai sensei is only going for a wee-" Before the brunette girl could finish her sentence, she was pulled into their hug.
The white-eyed boy tried to inch away from them but very unfortunately, was pulled in too.
'Please don't tell me mini-gai will hug me too...' Shikumi sweatdropped.
After 'their' reluctant goodbye, Gai left, not before giving his students a thumbs-up with tears and a 'sunset of youth' genjutsu.
Shikumi sighed. "I guess it's my turn, eh..." She walked up towards the team with a smile on her face. "Hi."
The three didn't move. 'Are they deaf?' Shikumi's eye twitched. Kotetsu and Izumo who were watching, giggled. Like a girl.
"YO!!!" She screamed behind the three making them jump in shock and get into a fighting stance.
"Who are you!?" Neji demanded.
"No need to be so rude to your new sensei..." Shikumi pouted.
"S-Sensei?" Tenten asked in shock.
"Mhm," Shikumi nodded. "I will be your temporary sensei this week! My name is Shikumi Nara, but you can call me Shikumi-sensei!"
"Hai, Shikumi-sensei," The three nodded.
"Okay....since I'm curious, let's do some introductions. To training grounds 11! Hmm...15 minutes!!!" Shikumi smirked.
"WHAT!?" Tenten screamed.
"Never ignore me or question me. NOW!!!!!!!!" Shikumi exclaimed.
"HAI, SENSEI!!!" Tenten and Lee shouted while Neji just gritted his teeth and sped off with the two.
"Oi, you two!" Shikumi called to Izumo and Kotetsu.
"Huh?"
"Team 9 taking Training grounds 11!!!"
"Got it, got it!"
Shikumi smirked at the three panting genins. "Good job!!! Although you're 5 minutes late, you still did great!"
"What a youthful sensei!!!" Lee cried.
"Youthful or wonderful, whatever you say, ok uh let's get to the introductions," Shikumi cleared her throat.
"I'm Special Jonin Shikumi Nara, and maybe a soon-to-be former sensei. I love my family, Shinko, Anko, maybe Kakashi and I hate cooking." 'Itachi...' "My hobbies are tor- training-" The three felt a shiver run down their spine.
"-and collecting weapons." Tenten brightened up. "My dream is to live a not-troublesome-at-all life, which is clearly impossible, because EVERYTHING is troublesome."
The three genins sweatdropped at her last sentence. Okay, maybe two.
"Next, you bun-girl," Shikumi eyed Tenten.
"Why bun-girl..." Tenten whispered with a sweatdrop. "My name is Tenten Higurashi. I like ninja weapons a lot, and my hobby is collecting ninja weapons from all over the world. I hate a genj- ahem. nothing."
"Okay...you, mini-gai," Shikumi smiled at Lee.
"Oh, Mini-Gai!!! How youthful!!!" Lee cried.
"Uh...very touching but could you please proceed with your introduction," Shikumi sweatdropped.
"Of course, Shikumi-sensei!!! My name is Rock Lee!!! I like to train and my hobbies are also to train!!!" Lee exclaimed. "My dream is to prove myself as a good ninja although I can only use taijutsu!!!"
"I respect you, Lee. But please don't exhaust yourself training. Although I am just a temporary sensei, I still care for my students," Shikumi smiled warmly.
"Of course, sensei!!!" Lee took out a notebook and started to write down her words. The others sweatdropped.
"Well, you, white eyes," Shikumi grinned at Neji whose eye twitched at the nickname. "No offense, mk. You're fabulous and your white eyes are beautiful."
Neji rolled his eyes. "Neji Hyuga."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"That's all?" Shikumi sweatdropped, only to be ignored. "Hey...."
Neji turned towards his sensei and froze as he felt the KI released from the Nara. "I said don't ignore me....didn't I...?" She gave him a sickeningly sweet smile.
"I-I'm Neji Hyuga and I-I like herring soba. I h-hate pumpkins and spicy f-food. I-I believe tha-" Neji was about to say his fate and destiny crap but decided to shut up after thinking what Shikumi would do to him. "T-That's all."
Shikumi clapped her hands, making Neji jump in shock for some reason. "Alright, mah adorable genins!!! Let's get on to training!!!"
"Hai, sensei!!!"
---
"So how's your training going, Tenten?" A girl with brunette hair and blue eyes asked as she slurped some soba noodles.
"Man, that sensei is a complete SLAVE DRIVER when it comes to training!!!" Tenten screamed, banging her head on the table. "Help me, Sukoze-chan~"
"Ah, too bad, Ten-chan~" The girl now known as Sukoze Noku smirked.
"So, how's Haruu sensei doing? Is he leaving soon?" Tenten asked.
Sukoze sighed. "Haruu sensei is having another mission next week....A long term one. Special request by Sunagakure."
"Sheesh, your team is so unlucky, changing senseis very few months," Tenten patted Sukoze's back in sympathy.
"But hey, your team isn't that good either," Sukoze grinned. "So much youthfulness!!!"
"Yeah," A shudder ran down Tenten's spine. "A complete nightmare."
"and hey," Tenten continued. "Have you guys ever seen Neji stutter?"
"How can he?" Sukoze raised an eyebrow at Neji who was glaring at Tenten.
"Yeah, so he ignored Shikumi-sensei, and when he decided to look at her, he was so freaked out by her killer intent and sweet smile that he started to stutter," Tenten giggled. "Then he admitted the fact that he liked herring soba. But his expression though!!! It was priceless!!!"
"I didn't know you could stutter like your cousin, Neji-kun," A boy with blue hair and brown eyes grinned. Neji was blushing madly, staring at his food.
"Yeah, and he hates pumpkins." Tenten smiled, eyeing Neji.
"What!? Pumpkins are great!!! Right, Inzo?" The blue haired boy turned to a boy with white hair and golden eyes named Inzo Goyate.
"Pumpkin is a creation of kami," Inzo mumbled with noodles in his mouth.
"When did you learn to speak like that?" Sukoze raised an eyebrow.
"Joroki taught me," Inzo said innocently.
Sukoze eyed the blue haired boy named Joroki Misho suspiciously.
"I did not teach him to swear. I swear. Wait- no- no. Uh, I mean..." Joroki sweated nervously.
"By the way, Sukoze-chan," Inzo turned to the girl beside him. "What's fuck?"
Joroki paled.
Sukoze bent her head down and her hands were shaking.
"And this is why I said the new sensei is like Sukoze..." Tenten muttered to herself as she stared at Joroki with sympathy.
"Ah, Joroki~" Sukoze sang as she stabbed a kunai into the table. "You have 5. seconds. Wait no, 3."
Joroki's eyes widened as he ran out of the restaurant.
"Oh wait, I suddenly forgot how to count," Sukoze grinned maniacally and ran out of the restaurant after Joroki.
"JOROKI MISHO!!!!!!!!!!! YOU BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
6 days later
"GO! GO! GO!!! MY FABULOUS STUDENTS!!! THE SIXTIETH LAP IS ALMOST FINISHED!!!" Shikumi cheered as she ran ahead of the three students.
"OH, HOW YOUTHFUL, SHIKUMI SENSEI!!!" Lee exclaimed and a scene of a sunset appeared.
"NO GENJUTSU LEE!!!" Shikumi scolded.
"Oh, forgive me, sensei!!!" Lee cried.
"SHADDUP AND CONCENTRATE!!!" Shikumi screamed.
The four ninjas zoomed past the civilians, leaving them dumbfounded. "ALMOST THERE!!!!!!!!!"
The four came to a stop at the entrance of Konoha. "And WE'RE DONE!!!!"
"Finally," Tenten panted and fell on her butt, trying to catch her breath. Neji rested his hands on his knees, breathing heavily. Lee kept shouting things about youth and his teammates were dumfounded that he still had the energy to shout.
"Yoshi, since I've worked on Tenten's kenjutsu and Lee's taijutsu this morning, it's Neji's turn!!!" Shikumi grinned. "Okay, you two are dismissed. Neji, take a 30 minutes break then meet me at training grounds 11."
"Hai, sensei!" The three chorused and headed towards different directions.
"Well, come at me, say you're supposed to capture me, alive," Shikumi gestured for Neji to start.
Neji nodded and got into his gentle fist stance.
'Damn, this will be hard...' Shikumi narrowed her eyes as she got into a Nara fighting stance. "Alright, start."
Neji charged at me first, which I swiftly dodged. His attacks eventually got faster, rage and frustration clearly shown on his face as he missed every single attack.
"Neji! Focus! Stay calm!" Shikumi shouted. Neji gritted his teeth and slowed down a bit but went fast again. "Why won't you stay still!!!" Neji growled in frustration.
"Shouting won't do when you're facing a real enemy, Neji." Shikumi lectured.
Neji growled. "8 trigrams 64 palms!!!" He got into another fighting stance. Shikumi's eyes widened. Before Neji could do anything, she flashed behind him and shoved him forward, making him trip.
"Neji," Shikumi growled in a stern voice.
"Tsk," Neji growled and turned to look away.
"Get up," Shikumi ordered. Neji ignored her.
"NEJI HYUGA! NOW, AT ONCE!" Shikumi shouted. releasing some killer intent. Neji flinched and stood up.
"Never, NEVER, let emotions get ahold of you. Getting caught off guard and killing innocent people is one thing. What about your teammates? Huh!? These mistakes can be fatal, Neji. Control yourself." Shikumi glared at her student. "Really, what made you so cold?"
Neji's anger grew at this. "What do you know!?" He shouted.
"Nothing," Shikumi said, her tone of voice softer than before. "So, tell me."
Neji's eyes widened. No one had ever wanted to hear about his story before. His teammates never even asked. They just thought there's a problem with his attitude or something like that.
"It's the kidnap incident, isn't it?" Shikumi frowned.
"H-How did you know?" Neji looked at Shikumi straight in the eyes.
"W-Well....I met you when you were still a smol bean....I was heartbroken when you acted all cold," Shikumi giggled nervously. "And during the discussion for the kidnap incident...I was there. Hizashi gave the suggestion to use him as a sacrifice."
"But...why?" Neji's eyebrows furrowed.
"You know, Hiashi tried to stop him," Shikumi said sadly. "But he said he wanted to be freed of the caged bird seal and death was the only way."
Neji looked down.
"Hiashi loves you as much as your father does, Neji. Try to forgive him," Shikumi ruffled Neji's hair, earning a small glare. Shikumi sighed. "Alright....now, DON'T EVER LET EMOTIONS CONTROL YOU!" Shikumi growled, releasing her KI.
"H-H-H-Hai, s-sensei," Neji stuttered.
"YOSHI!!! As your punishment, you are running 30 laps around Konoha again!!!"
"WHAT!?!?"
---
"Gai sensei!!!!" Tenten cheered as Gai came running towards the gates.
"OH MY YOUTHFUL GENINS!!!! I AM BACK!!!!" Gai anime-cried, running towards the Konoha gates as a scene of a sunset appeared behind him.
"We missed you!!!" Tenten cried and ran towards Gai.
"GAI SENSEI!!!!" Lee cried and raced over to Gai.
"OH, LEE!!! TENTEN!!!" Gai exclaimed, crying tears of joy. Neji was struggling not to grin at the thought of not having Shikumi as their temporary sensei again.
"Aw man...I think no one's gonna miss me..." Shikumi sighed.
"Oh, Shikumi! It seems you have sparked the youth within them!!! Hopefully you train with us again someday!!!" Gai grinned. Neji and Tenten paled.
"How about we start your training now? What do you say, Gai? Maybe I'll handle them as you go to the Hokage for the mission report~" Shikumi smiled sweetly. "And can join us later~"
"OF COURSE!!!" Gai struck a pose and dashed off towards the Hokage tower.
"Now...my adorable little cuties...." Shikumi smiled creepily at the three. They gulped. "One. Hundred. Laps. In....three....two...one..."
The genins raced off in fear as Shikumi ran after them. Izumo sweatdropped. "Man...."
Mission Office
"A....team? Me...former sensei...? More adorable but troublesome cuties...." Shikumi sighed. "Alright then..."
"Alright...here's their files," Hiruzen handed three files to her. "Team 12, Sukoze Noku, Joroki Misho and Inzo Goyate. Their former sensei died of an illness so they kept switching sensei's. Most of the temporary sensei's went on a long term mission. They had six sensei's in total."
Shikumi flipped open the first file. "Sukoze Noku... Genin...duh. Fourth in class....quite cute. Ninjutsu, high Genin level. Taijutsu, Average Genin level. Genjutsu, Average Genin level."
"Joroki Misho, Seventh in class. Ninjutsu, Average Genin. Taijutsu, high Genin. Genjutsu, low Genin," Shikumi read out.
"Inzo Goyate, Third in class. Ninjutsu, Low Chunin level. Woah," Shikumi gaped slightly. "Taijutsu, Low genin....okay...Genjutsu, High Genin. This one's amazing. I'm surprised he's not the top one in class."
"All their sensei's said that they're very close. Their teamwork is great, so you don't need to worry about that. Missions completed... 106 D-ranks...34 C-ranks....11 B-ranks," Hiruzen finished.
"Wow. That's much more than Gai's team," Shikumi raised her eyebrows.
"So....Yes or no?" Hiruzen asked.
Shikumi chewed on her thumb a while and nodded. "It's a ye-"
"JIJI!!!!" The door busted open. A boy with spiky blonde hair skipped into the room. A girl with pink hair and a boy with raven hair followed him in. "Eh? Where's Iruka sensei?"
"Naruto...As you can see, I'm having a small discussion here so please don't barge...in......" Hiruzen trailed off as he stared at Shikumi.
Her eyes were wide, gaping at the figure in front of her. She wasn't prepared for this....at all.
The figure was staring at her in shock, too.
The three genins stared at them in curiosity.
"S-Shiku...mi...?" The figure broke the silence.
"K-Kakashi." Shikumi gasped out. She was holding herself back from leaping onto him and crying. After all, Kakashi always treated her like a sister before she went missing.
"Ano...What's going on...?" Naruto asked in confusion. "Kakashi-sensei....do you know her?"
"Of course sensei does, baka!" Sakura whisper-yelled at Naruto. "Isn't that obvious?"
"She's beautiful..." Naruto gaped, earning a glare from Sakura.
"Um...hi...?" Shikumi mentally facepalmed herself. It's years since she meet Kakashi and she started a conversation with 'hi'!? "So...you became...a sensei."
"Y-Yeah," Kakashi answered.
The two, no six stayed on their spots trapped in an awkward silence.
"I guess...I'll see you...later...?" Shikumi clenched her fists nervously.
"I guess." Kakashi looked down. Shikumi bit her lip and went out of the Hokage office with the files in her hands.
"W-Wait," Kakashi turned back to the door. Shikumi stopped in her tracks and looked at him. "Yes?"
"Dinner? Tonight?" He bit his lip nervously under his mask. "Ichiraku."
"...Sure thing," Shikumi smiled and walked away, closing the door in the process.
"Kakashi," Hiruzen called out, making Kakashi jump.
"Y-Yes?" Kakashi blinked.
"Uh...sensei, mission report," Sakura informed. Sasuke hn'ed.
"Right," Kakashi straightened his body.
"Ano...Kakashi-sensei," Naruto tugged at the masked nin's shirt. "Do you...have a crush on that girl?"
"Uh no," Kakashi muttered, thankful that he wore a mask to hide his blush.
Shikumi POV
'I wonder if he'll be late...' I thought as I searched my closet for something to wear.
"Gah! What am I doing!? This isn't a date or anything!" I slapped myself and picked out a white hoodie along with a pair of jeans.
I sighed at looked at my reflection in the mirror before running down the stairs.
"Hmm? Where are you going, dear?" Mom asked.
"Oh, uh, I have a meeting with Kakashi-kun," I answered.
"Oh, Hatake-san?" Mom raised her eyebrows.
"Yeah, I'll be going," I muttered a quick goodbye before running out of home towards Kakashi's house.
"Have fun with your boyfriend!!!"
My eyes widened and I blushed madly. I shook my head to clear off my thoughts before continuing my way to Kakashi's house.
'But I do like him a little....not in a sisterly way...'
"Knock, knock! Anyone at home!?" I called out in front of Kakashi's door. A few footsteps were heard before the door opened. I raised my eyebrows in surprise as I saw him wearing a black hoodie and a different mask.
"Sorry, am I late?" He asked.
"No...I thought you would be, but I didn't expect that you would've finished getting ready," I shrugged.
"Let's go, then," he said with his usual bored expression.
We slurped the ramen loudly at Ichiraku's. Okay, maybe I slurped the ramen loudly. Kakashi finished his ramen in a split second. It's amazing how he does it.
I stared at him, still slurping my ramen. 'Damn, I don't know what to say....Come on, Kakashi, you invited me say somethi-' My thoughts were cut off as he glanced back at me. My face turned beet red as I noticed I was staring.
"A-Ahem...sorry," I blinked as I continued slurping my ramen. "This is good...I've only been here a few times before."
"...Yeah," Kakashi nodded. I squinted my eyes at him.
"Aren't you going to say something?" I asked. "You didn't just ask me for dinner to treat me did you? Ask me anything, what happened at Suna, how did I lose my memories, anything. Stop staying quiet, it's awkward."
"So...how was life in Suna?" Kakashi asked.
"That place is hot...but eventually I got used to it," I shrugged. "Have a few friends here and there...."
"...Oh," Kakashi turned away.
Silence.
"Come on! Just one question? You flippin told me to come here for one question???" Shikumi grumbled.
"Eh...he...he..." Kakashi chuckled nervously, picking his fingernails unconsciously.
"Sheesh, spit it out. You have something to say," I squinted my eyes at him.
"W-What...?" Kakashi gave me a nervous closed-eye smile.
"You always pick your finger nails to avoid contact when you have something to say to me. Weird thing you never do it towards others," I poked his cheeks.
"..." Kakashi blinked at me. Teuchi raised an eyebrow at us before dragging Ayame into the kitchen.
Before I knew it, he hugged me. A fuzzy feeling rose in my chest as I turned beet red.
"K-Ka-Ka-Kash-shi- W-What are y-you do-doing?" I stuttered.
"Ever since you were declared dead it felt as if I lost everything, Shikumi..." He whispered.
I blinked.
"Well the truth is..." Kakashi mumbled. "I've always loved you...since we met during the mission we were on together..."
I blushed madly. 'H-He loved me...too.'
"...I loved you like you were my little sister...."
My eyes widened. 'So...he doesn't have the same feelings as I have for him...I'm...such an idiot. This is the Kakashi Hatake...why would he love someone like me?'
"Please don't disappear like that again...I-I don't want to lose anyone anymore...especially you," I felt cold liquid dripping on my shoulder. I froze. He's crying.
"Kakashi....I love you too..." I muttered.
"...Like a big brother."
Kakashi froze and bent his head down, burying his head into my hair.
'Should I tell him...?' I frowned as his tears dropped on my cloth. 'No...stupid...If I tell him, I'll ruin our relationship now...'
"Kakashi..." I muttered. "People are watching the great copy ninja hug the Nara clan's heriress."
His eyes widened and he pulled away from me immediately. "S-Sorry..."
"It's okay," I gave him his closed-eye smile. "I just think it's better...after we both revealed our true feelings."
He stared at me with a warm gaze. "Come on, the ramen's getting cold. You eat so slow."
"Ah!? Now you're really acting like a big brother," I squinted my eyes at him.
"Shut up," he rolled his eyes.
We continued chatting like we used to back in the days, hearing two giggles from the kitchen.
"Like a big brother..."
Shikumi POV
"Onee-chan, Onee-chan!!!" little Itachi tugged at my shirt.
"Yes tachi-chan?" I smiled. Itachi blushed at my smile but blinked and continued.
"What flower do you like?" He asked shyly. I cooed at his shyness and sighed happily. "My favourite flower...?"
"I never really thought about it before...It's just too troublesome," I muttered.
"Oh, come on, Onee-chan! Everything is troublesome for you!" Itachi pouted.
"Okay, okay...My favourite flower..." I tapped my chin in thought. "A water lily, I guess?"
"Water lily..." Itachi blinked in thought and smiled. "Thanks, Onee-chan!!"
"You're welcome," I ruffled his hair.
He pouted at me for ruffling his hair before running off.
"Hey Shikumi..." Mikoto sat beside me.
"Mikoto-sama," I bent my head down in respect.
"Oh, come on! I told you not to call me that! Just Mikoto-san is fine!" She smacked the back of my head.
"Hai, Mikoto-sama," I grinned.
"I swear..." she sighed, smiling at me. "you're not like a Nara at all...only sometimes you are..."
"O-Oh," I blinked and looked down.
"Ah, Shikumi...that wasn't an insult," A sweat ran down Mikoto's forehead. "It's just....you're so kind and caring and you show it all out unlike other Naras..."
"Oh...I think a cousin of mine said that too," I chuckled that sounded like a giggle due to my childish voice.
"And by the way, you and Itachi look cute together," she commented, which made me blush a deep shade of red.
"N-No, M-Mikoto-san...I-I just treat him like a little brother...that's all," I smiled as I stared at the clouds.
"You still stare at the clouds like your father does though," Mikoto smiled.
I raised an eyebrow in confusion at the change of subject before realising what she meant.
"Really, for a Nara you're kind of slow in getting information in your head," Mikoto pushed my head from the side, making me giggle.
Timeskip 7 weeks
"Tadaima," I called as I entered the house.
"Oh, Shikumi you're back," mom smiled at me. "How was the mission?"
"It went pretty smoothly, we ran into a few bandits in the way but wiped them out easily," I replied as I took off my head band, letting my hair fall free to my waist.
"I'm going for a shower," I informed as I went up the stairs.
"Right, honey! Oh, and be quick, because Itachi wanted to meet you today," Mom called.
"Wagatta," I shouted and entered the bathroom. Today...? What's so special that made Itachi want to meet me himself? Oh whatever...he always wanted to meet me...
8.30p.m. I changed into a more casual short kimono before heading to the Uchiha compound. As I arrived at the base, Itachi immediately swallowing me in a hug.
"W-Wha-?" I blinked in shock.
"Evening, Onee-chan!" He greeted.
"Evening...?" My greeting sounded more like a question as I stared at him weirdly. He never was this excited before.
"She's totally clueless..." Mikoto sighed with a smile, standing beside Fugaku who were both nearby us.
Fugaku just hn'ed.
"Come here, come here!!!" Itachi pulled me towards the direction of the lake in the center of the Uchiha compound.
"What in the- Itachi, slow down-"
I blinked in shock as I stared at the scenery of the lake in front of me.
"Itachi...this is..." I gaped like a fish. There were fireflies flying around with some dragonflies flying around. And the most beautiful part...was the water lilies that floated on the surface of the water. Telling from the size, I can tell that they just bloomed recently.
"I..." I was totally speechless. There weren't any water lilies here before!
"Onee-chan," Itachi pulled my hand and stared up at me with a sweet smile. "Happy birthday!"
"It's my...birthday today?" I blinked in confusion.
"Yeah, Onee-chan, it's 3rd of March today!" Itachi giggled at me.
"Happy birthday, dear," Mom and dad appeared behind us suddenly, wrapping me in a hug.
"Kaa-san...otosan..." I stared at them in shock.
"Happy birthday, Shikumi-chan!" Mikoto smiled at me.
"Hn, Happy birthday," Fugaku gave me a rare tiny smile.
"Mikoto-san...Fugaku-sama..." I mumbled.
"Itachi-chan planted these when you said you like water lilies," Mikoto smiled at little Itachi.
"K-Kaa-san...I didn't do it all by myself...you and Yoshino-sama were there to help too..." Itachi blushed.
"Tachi-chan..." I stared at him.
"Y-You don't like it...? Neechan...?" He stared at me with his big baby black eyes.
"It's...it's beautiful, Itachi-chan..." I hugged him tightly, a few tears slipping out of my eyes. "I love it so much...it's the best birthday gift I've ever received."
Itachi gasped in surprise and happiness as Mom and Mikoto-san just smiiled at him. He hugged me back tightly. "I love you, Onee-chan!"
"I love you too," I smiled, pulling away as I wiped the tears away from my face.
"Here's our gift for you," Dad pulled out a scroll and handed it to me. I stared at him questioningly and received a 'go ahead' sign.
I opened the scroll to see some words and patterns with a word for 'summon' in the middle. "Summoning...scroll?"
"Draw some thumb and place it on the pattern, then say Summoning Jutsu. No handsigns," Shikaku said.
I blinked at him and di as he say. Draw some blood, place my bloodied thumb on the pattern, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
There was a poof and in my hands was a katana with a Nara clan symbol carved onto the handle. I pulled open the katana slightly to see my name 'Shikumi Nara' carved into it in kanji. The top of the handle had the sign of a white knight in shogi chess pieces.
"This...is incredible...." I beamed.
"Since you've never had a katana of your own, we decided to give you one...One that belongs to you, and only you," Dad smiled along with Mom. I beamed at them and hugged them tight.
"Sorry...we haven't prepared anything...so in return, I've cooked dinner with Yoshino for you!" Mikoto smiled.
"But Mikoto-san...you've already helped with the water lilies..." I mumbled.
"Hey! That's Itachi's gift! Not mine!" Mikoto crossed her arms.
"Kaa-san, I'm hungry," Itachi beamed up at Mikoto.
"Alright...let's go," Mikoto smiled at us before leading us all into the dining room.
"I can't believe you're 12 now, Shikumi," Yoshino ruffled my hair.
"Yeah...time sure goes by fast...." I mumbled.
Yeah, it sure does.
I opened my eyes slowly. It was...a dream. But it's not a dream, it's a memory.
.
You might say that this is a sweet dream and all...
.
.
.
Yeah, it is a sweet dream,
.
.
.
.
A sweet memory...
.
.
.
.
.
Which it what makes it a nightmare...
.
.
.
.
.
.
Because it is indeed a memory.
'4.00am...' Shikumi stared at her clock with an empty face. 'It's noteven tie for my morning training yet...'
She reached out for the hair band that was placed next to her clock. Tying up her hair into a messy ponytail, she turned off the alarm of her clock before heading to the toilet.
As she was brushing her teeth, she couldn't help but recall the dream just now.
'It's just a dream...it's just a dream...' she though to herself as she rinsed her mouth with water. She exited the bathroom and changed into her ninja wear. She sealed the jonin vest into a sealing scroll and sighed. 'just a dream...'
She put on a pink sleeveless hoodie over her ninja wear before heading out ofher room quietly, not wanting to wake up her family. She opened the door of her brother's room soundlessly and stared at his sleeping figure. With a smile, she headed out of the house and jogged towards the Uchiha compound.
The old barricade tape that any baby can tear of was still tied to the compound gates. 'So Sasuke-chan doesn't live here...I gess it'll be fine to enter...'
She went through the gates and looked around the compound. As she walked, she could picture Itachi running here and there, following her and greeting her as he grew up. 'I wonder what he looks like now...'
She entered the dining room of the main family house and stared at the table.
"Itachi!" A familiar voice called from the kitchen. Shikumi headed into the kitchen to see Mikoto coking. "Help me put these on the table!"
"Hai!!!" Itachi ran through her body into the kitchen and went back into the dining room with the plates. Shikumi turned back and saw Itachi sitting beside her younger self, chatting with her.
The house was now cleaner and brighter, Shikumi could see. Fugaku sat down in the seat opposite Itachi. Shikaku came in from the door and sat next to her younger self.
"Alright!!!" Yoshino and Mikoto came out from the kitchen, placing the food on the table.
Shikumi smiled as she remembered the day of this dinner. It was the best birthday of her life, her twelveth birthday. The cake was the best because it was green tea-flavoured.
It wasn't long before they started sinigng a birthday song for Shikumi while she beamed at the cake. "Happy birthday...to...you...."
All the people in the room disappeared into tiny sparkles along with the food. Shikumi smiled warmly as she gazed at the spot Itachi was in.
She exited the house and headed towards her favourite place....the lake.
Everytime she came here to see Itachi when she was younger...about when 14, he would often not be here. He was always on missions when she wasn't. Then she would wait here at the lake for Itachi...and he would come.
Shikumi bent her head down and sat down at the lakeside. She glanced at the flowers and her eyes widened.
They were still...alive.
But how...? She knew that Water lilies can survive on their own, but she heard that the soil in this lake wasn't suitable for water lilies to grow and needed someone to take care of them.
Maybe Sasuke...? But why would he? If he would go to the trouble of taking care of thewater lilies, why wouldn't he clean up the rest of the house? Thus, this lake didn't seem to be a special place for him.
Maybe Itachi had some special time here with him...yeah...maybe.
Shikumi stared at the rising sun. 'Was I really here for so long?' She sighed and stood up. 'Time to go.'
She dusted her pants before disappearing in a shunshin.
(Some of Shikumi's jutsus are not in the anime...I simply put trash in it....so pls don correct me if you find something weird....yeah.)
"Shadow piercing jutsu," Imuttered with a rat handsign as I stared at the log a few metres away from me intently. In 2 seconds, the log was split into 7 as my shadow shot out from the ground beneath it. "Success...."
I blinked. Once. Twice. "IT WORKED!!!!! DUSHFJBHIHEFBW IT WORKED!!!" I cheered, dancing merrily around the training grounds.
"Uhm..." A voice came from behind me.
I turned back to see three kids standing there.
"Oh sorry, is this your training ground? I thought no one used it..." I blinked. "OH WAIT I KNOW!!! You're...my students?"
"Hai, sensei," the girl smiled nervously.
"So, Sukoze Noku, Joroki Misho and Inzo Goyate?" I asked. They nodded in response.
"Alright, sit down." I pointed at two spots near me with my index fingers and my shadow that still had that pointy tip.
"Sensei...you're a Nara?" Joroki asked.
"Mhm!" I smiled. "My name is Shikumi Nara, and since I've already said my name, I'll start first with my own introuction." I sighed happily and began. "My hobbies are watching clouds and stars at night. My dream is to find someone aaaannnnddddddd, marry a ninja who can cook, because cooking is a drag," I finished. 'And mom won't force me to learn howto cook...yatta!!!'
Unkown to Shikumi, she had said that out loud. The three genins giggled.
"Well you, blue boy," Shikumi eyed Joroki.
"I'm Joroki Misho. My hobbies are reading. My dream is to see Neji stutter. My dislike is when a certain very ungirly someone gets angry," Joroki said.
"Hm, I would love to know who that is!" Suukoze grinned cheerfully. Way too cheerfully.
"Well you, Ms brunette," Shikumi chuckled.
"I'm Sukoze Noku. I hate a certain idiot's stupidity." Joroki scowled at her. "My dream is to be Ladt Tsunade's student and protect my brothers for life," she gave her teammate a sincere smile at the end. Inzo blinked at her. Joroki smiled shyly with his head bent down.
"...But that doesn't punishment for certain actions won't be taken," she smiled sweetly at Joroki.
"And last," Shikumi smiled at Inzo.
"U-Uh, I'm Inzo Goyate," the boy stuttered.
"It's okay, Inzo," Sukoze patted his back and whispered something into his ear.
"My hobbies are e-expirimenting j-jutsus. My dream...get acknowledgement from...my parents." He finished.
"Inzo..." Sukoze frowned.
'The last time I checked...he doesn't have parents...' Shikumi's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"All of you are very interesting..." She smiled.
Inzo beamed. Sukoze and Joroki smiled at him.
'Cute...'
"Shikumi!!!!" Yoshino called from the Nara compound entrance as she ran towards her house at high speed.
"Wha-" before Shikumi could finish, her mother was already in front of her, making her fall back on her butt in surprise. "Kami, mom! Don't scare me like that!!!"
"You're a Jonin, you should be able to detect me," Yoshino squinted her eyes at Shikumi. "Anyways, help me with something."
"Troublesome....what is it?" Shikumi asked.
"A few of my friends are coming for a stay and they'll be staying in our compound for a few days," she informed."Mhm," Shikumi nodded her head.
"I asked a few of our clan members but none of their houses have extra rooms," Yoshino sighed.
"Can't you guys...just stay at a hotel or something? Cleaning up the house will be troublesome..." Shikumi sighed.
Yoshino gained a tick mark and pulled Shikumi out of the house by her ear. "They're our guests, Shikumi! We can't just let them sleep at a hotel!!!"
"ITATATATATATATA!!!!!!" Shikumi anime-cried as she tried to squirm out of her mother's tight grip. "Why can't I have a day off? It's all the Genin's day off!!! And I'm a sensei goddammit!!! It's so hard to take care of those kids especially Joroki!!!"
"Well then why can't I have a day off from all those chores!?!? Why can't I take a day off from feeding you little squirts!?!!?!" Yoshino screamed back at her daughter.
"Child abuse!!!!!" Shikumi screamed as the clan members raised an eyebrow at the clan head's wife and the clan heiress bickering like it happens everyday. Well, it actually does, not gonna lie. Poor clan head. Poor Shikaku.
"Excuse me, lady, but you're a full grown adult so behave like one!!!" Yoshino pulled her ear tighter.
"IIIIIIIITAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! TATATATA!!!! IT'S COMING OFF MOM!!!" Shikumi screeched. The Naras sweatdropped at her and continued to do their stuff. "STOP PULLING!!!! I'LL JUST DO WHATEVER STUFF YOU WANT ME TO DO AND EAT WHATEVER SHIT YOU WANT ME TO EAT!!!"
"FOR REAL?" Yoshino asked with fire in her eyes. Shikumi nodded frantically. Yoshino grinned and released her daughter who rubbed her ears in pain. "That's my girl~"
'And that's where Shikumi-sama gets her personality from...' The clan members thought.
"What...?" Shikumi stared at the old house in front of her.
"Yes, you're cleaning this house up. It's the only house available in front of the compound." Yoshino picked up a stick to move away the sticks and vines on the ground, revealing a dirty cobblestone path. "Clean this path up too."
"But..." Shikumi blinked.
"It's nothing compared to all the chores I do everyday, lady!" Yoshino shook a finger in front of her daughter's face.
"Are you sure...?" Shikumi deadpanned.
The house in front of her had three floors, and the whole house is filled with full grown vines and trees and all sorts of plants.
"With your ninja skills and stuff, you should be able to finish cleaning this house in two days, heck maybe even one day," Yoshino shook her head with a smile. She suddenly snapped her head towards Shikumi. "I forgot!!!"
"For...got...what...?" Shikumi asked, already feeling tired from looking at the sheer size of the house.
"We need furniture!!!" Yoshino exclaimed. An evil glint came to her eyes as she rubbed her hands maliciously. "And since you always say it's so troublesome to have so much money and not know how to use it, I think I found a solution for you..."
"No..." Shikumi paled. "Not my money..."
"Well, enjoy!!!" Yoshino grinned as she skipped home. Shikumi sighed and lay down under a tree. "No..." she cried as her soul left her body out from her mouth.
And Shikumi Nara has died.
Yeah, she's dead. The story is at an end.
Yeah, this Omake is a secret epilouge.
Oh you're still here. Shinigami likes your determination so he decided to let Shikumi live again.
"Why..." Shikumi rolled over and stared at the clouds. "And I thought I could be free from this living nightmare called life...Why...Shinigami-sama..."
"Because..." the shinigami appeared in front of her. ".......The readers probably want it and probably don't. Well maybe they don't, but the author does."
"The...readers...?" Shikumi blinked. "Say, am I some kinda child of prophecy or summin?"
"No. And good luck with cleaning the house. You won't die until you finish cleaning it up," the shinigami said.
"WHY!?!?!?" Shikumi cried.
"Your mom," was the reason he gave before disappearing.
"My mom..." Shikumi blinked. "Yeah...even the Shinigami is afraid of her... Oh well. I gotta...GET HELP!!!"
Shikumi disappears.
The Rookie 9 were having a lovely time in the BBQ restaurant. Well, maybe not everyone had a lovely time.
Choji, was of course, eating as much as he can. Hinata was eating like a normal person. Yeah, not everyone in the rookie 9 is normal, dattebayo. Shino wasn't eating. Kiba and Naruto were arguing about who's techniques are better and who is stronger. Sasuke was being squished by Ino and Sakura. Shikamaru was also eating like a normal person, until....
"SHIKAMARU!!!!!!!!!!!" A figure dashed into the restaurant, startling all the customers.
The rookie 9 were instantly on guard (except for Shikamaru) when the figure hugged Shikamaru tightly, crying.
"Who are you!?" Ino asked.
"Troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed. "Now everyone is looking at us..."
"What? You don't like your sis?" The figure lifted her head up to reveal her face. Shikumi.
"E-Eh? You're Kakashi sensei's girlfriend from the other day!!!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Excuse me?" Shikumi gained a tick mark. "He's not my boyfriend, you lil' brat!!!"
"Who are you calling brat!?!?" Naruto shouted.
"I'm calling you brat, you brat!" Shikumi shouted back at him.
"Troublesome...you're a full grown adult for Kami's sake..." Shikamaru sighed. "Do you have to argue with-"
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Shikumi screeched as she backed away from her brother. "YOU'RE NOT SHIKAMARU!!! MY LITTLE PINEAPPLE WOULD NEVER SAY THE SAME THING AS MOM!!!"
"My little...pineapple...?" Ino snickered. Kiba snorted. Naruto laughed out loud. "Shikamaru...Pineapple!!!"
"What a drag...what is it?" Shikamaru sighed.
I blinked and stood up in a split second again. "OH SHIKAMARU!!!!" Shikumi anime cried. "Siblings help each other, right?"
"Troublesome...Stop screaming.." Shikamaru grumbled.
"Kay, kay, kay. So I need your help with something. Did you know there's an old house in the Nara forest grounds near our house?" Shikumi asked.
"No," he answered.
"Well, a few of mom's friends are coming to stay and there's no room in our houses," Shikumi sighed.
"Troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed as he slumped into his chair. "And I thought I could have a day off..."
"Yes, now that's my pineapple. I said that to mom and she was like 'Well then why can't I have a day off from all those chores!?!? Why can't I take a day off from feeding you little squirts!?!!?!'" I imitated mom's voice, making some of the genins snicker.
"She calls her children squirts..." Ino snickered quietly.
"So, boi, you gon be helpin me with this and I don't wanna hear shit comin from yo trap, cuz we gon get help and you aint gon grumble bout any shit," Shikumi patted her brother's head like he was a dog.
The rookie 9 sweatdropped.
"Okay, come with me boi, your friendsies can take the bill as a small holiday gift," Shikumi smiled at them before running out of the restaurant with Shikamaru.
"WHAT!?" Ino screeched.
"I wonder what they're doing..." Choji said.
"Ah, whatever! Let's just follow them and see!" Kiba grinned.
"K-Kiba-kun...A-Are you s-sure...?" Hinata stuttered.
"Ya, Hinata! They won't catch us, anyways!" Kiba puffed his chest out in confidence.
"Are you sure...? That woman looks like a jonin to me..." Ino blinked.
"They won't get us, dattebayo!!!" Naruto grinned.
"Well, let's go!!!" Kiba ran out of the restaurant. Choji ate the last piece of meat and ran out. Sasuke ran out of the restaurant, not wanting to pay for the bill. Ino and Sakura ran after him. Hinata and Shino walked out after Kiba. Naruto was about to run after them when he was pulled back by the waitress. "Sir, money, please~"
"NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Where are we going???" Shikamaru asked in confusion as his sister pulled him through the streets. "You'll see."
They arrived in front of an apartment door. Shikumi peeped into the window and saw a gray-haired figure sitting on the sofa.
"Kakashi sensei?" Shikamaru raised his eyebrows.
Shikumi knocked hard on the door. "KAKASHI, KAKASHI, KAKASHI, KAKASHIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
No response.
"Stupid Kakashi and your pervy books," Shikumi grumbled and got in a fighting stance.
"You're not gonna...right...?" Shikamaru blinked.
"Oh, ho, yes I am!!!" Shikumi smirked evilly. "KAKASHIIII!!!! HERE I COME!!!! DYNAMIIIIIICCC ENTRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The poor, innocent door was kicked down and smashed into the wall on the opposite side, creating a small crater. Kakashi dropped his cup of water and book in shock. "W-What?"
"That's for not answering me, Bakashi-niichan," Shikumi smirked. "Oh, and surprise. Look at your precious baby book."
Kakashi looked down and his eyes widened to an impossible extent.
His cup was shattered, but that didn't really matter to him now. His precious book with the title 'Make-Out Paradise' was soaked by the water from the cup. He dropped on his knees and started to cry in despair.
Shikamaru sweatdropped. "I didn't know he cared for his book to this extent," he chuckled a little nervously.
After putting the door in a correct position (but it's still not fixed yet), Kakashi found another copy of 'Make-out Paradise' in his bedroom and instantly lit up.
"So?" Kakashi asked as Shikumi sat on the sofa opposite his, Shikamaru beside her.
"You said I'm like your little sister, right?" Shikumi asked. Kakashi nodded. "Okay, I need your help. Please, Kakashi. Do this for me." Shikumi bent her head down,tears slipping out of her eyes. Shikamaru sweatdropped.
Kakashi's eyes widened. "You...okay...? What happened?"
"M-My mom...she..." Shikumi sniffed.
"What about her?" Kakashi asked.
Shikumi looked up at Kakashi with anime tears brimming her eyes as she turned Chibi mode. "SHE FORCED ME TO CLEAN A THREE FLOORED HOUSE!!!"
Kakashi deadpanned at her. Shikamaru sighed and muttered a "troublesome".
"Me need your help, Kakashi." Shikumi said with a serious face. "Yes or yes?"
"No no?" Kakashi blinked. "No," Shikumi answered.
"I choose no," Kakashi answered.
"GAH!!!!!! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!!" Shikumi screamed in frustration as she leaped onto his lap, making him turn beet red. "YES OR YES!??!!? NO NO!!!'
"Y-Yes." Kakashi stuttered. "G-Get off me."
"Hai, Kakashi-kun~" Shikumi grinned as she got off the Hatake who looked away, blush not leaving his face. Shikumi brushed the none-existant dust off his clothes and smiled at him before pulling Shikamaru and him away. "Let's go!!!!!!!"
"That was one hell of a kick," Kiba muttered as he stared at Kakashi's broken door.
"Guys! That terrible woman must have kidnapped Kakahi and Shikamaru!!! She must be an alien conducting expi-"
"Naruto!!! You baka!!! Those things don't exist!!!" Sakura screeched.
"That was Shikamaru's sister, Shikumi," Choji informed, still eating chips.
"He has a sister?" Naruto gaped.
"You met her when we were still little," Choji shrugged as he took another handful of chips and shoved them in his mouth.
"She's not like Shikamaru at all..." Ino crossed her arms.
"Her mom says she sometimes is, especially at home," Choji said.
"Let's stop talking here and go!!!" Kiba shouted. They nodded and followed Kiba as he sniffed out the trio's scent.
"Okay, I made a list of things that you need to buy for me," Shikumi said. "Use the storage seals I gave you. We need to finish this by tomorrow."
"Troublesome..." Shikamaru muttered.
"That's easy," Kakashi said with a bored expression. His hands formed into a handsign unfamiliar to Shikamaru. "Shadow clone jutsu!"
A few clones appeared beside him with the same bored expressions. Shikumi squinted her eyes at him, mentally screaming 'SUFFER YOU DAMN BAKASHI!!!! SUFFER SUFER SUFFER!!!!!!!!!!!'
She cleared her throat, a tick mark on her forehead. "Let's get started then. Kakashi, you are only allowed to use a kunai."
"What? Why?" Kakashi asked. "That'd make the work much slower wouldn't it?"
"I don't care," Shikumi smiled sweetly.
---
Omake part 2
---
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," I grumbled as I sliced the vine continously. My hands formed a handsign as I shouted, "Shadow slice jutsu!"
My shadow mixed with the shadows in the house and formed into several different shapes of knives. They started to cut the vines on the first and second floor, speeding up the proccess a whole lot.
"Shadow clone jutsu!" Kakashi shouted out. A few more clones poofed up beside him and got to work while the original sat under a tree, reading make out paradise.
"I'm back," Shikamaru called as he entered the house with a whole basket of scrolls and tags. He raised an eyebrow at my jutsu. "Nice."
"NICE WHAT!??! NICE TO SEE ME SUFFER??? HELP US!!!!" Shikumi shouted at him and glanced at Kakashi's clones. "WELL, HELP ME!!!"
"Hai, hai," Shikamaru grumbled and took out a kunai. "Wagatta. Where do I put this?"
"Um...put it at home first," Shikumi said.
"Hai, Troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed and took the basket to the house.
"No, no. Clean the ones on the outside. They're sticking to the walls and it's so troublesome to pull it out," Shikumi grumbled and sighed tiredly as her shadow retreated back to her. She colapsed on her butt and panted heavily.
"Need some of my chakra?" Kakashi asked. "Yes," Shikumi asnwered. Kakashi walked over o her and placed a hand on her shoulder, transferring some of his chakra to her. "There," he gave her a closed-eye smile. "Thanks," Shikumi smiled back.
"Do I really have to do this?" Shikamaru sighed as he looked at the vines high up stuck onto the wall. Sighing, he channeled chakra to his feet and began to walk up the wall.
"I didn't know you could wall-walk," Kakashi commented.
"Oh," Shikamaru looked at him. "Well it's a must-learn Chakra control technique that must be mastered if I were to do the shadow possesion jutsu."
Shikamaru sighed as he started to pull out the vines from the wall. "What a drag."
"Woah...that's so cool...Shikamaru can walk up walls?" Naruto gaped.
"Is that a kekkei genkai or something?" Kiba asked.
"No, it's a Chakra control tecnique," Choji answered.
"How do you know that?" Sakura asked as she put down her small toy telescope.
"Shikamaru told me hiimself. It was a chakra control technique that he needed to master for his clan's jutsu." Choji munched on some chips.
"Choji! Quit munching on the chips, they'll hear us!" Ino whisper-yelled at the Akimichi.
Choji muttered a quick apology and kept the chips.
Wiping the floor was not easy for Shikumi at all. She couldn't borrow any mops because all of them were taken and used in some sort of clean up activity in the village. And I meant all of them. Every single mop in the compound.
"Kakashi!!! Buy me a mop!!!" Shikumi demanded.
"There must be one in your compound! It's not possible that there aren't any mops at all!" Kakashi said and focused on his book again.
"Stupid Bakashi," Shikumi grumbled. She sighed and ran back home to tell her dad about it. Shikaku glanced at her daugter and headed to the kitchen. Shiukmi followed him like a lost puppy.
Shikaku opened a drawer and Shikumi beamed. "What treasure do you have for me, dad???"
"...This," Shikaku took out a small piece of cloth. He moved to the sink and soaked it then handed it to his daughter. "With water. Easy to use and can fit through small gaps if your hand isn't too chubby. Treasure."
A tick Mark grew on Shikumi's head. She snatched the wet cloth and stomped out of the house grumpily.
Yeah. And she wiped the whole house's floor with a single wet cloth.
"That's amazing..." Kiba gaped.
"I wonder how she's wiping the whole house with a single cloth," Sakura blinked.
"GAH!!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!!" Shikumi screamed. She tossed the cloth aside and sat on the floor, muttering inaudible curses.
"Oh, you still have to wipe the windows, by the way," Kakashi smiled rather happily.
"YOU!!!" Shikumi screamed and tackled him to the ground, only to have him disappear in a burst of smoke. "KAKASHI!!!"
The rookie '8' watched in awe, fear and amazement as Shikumi 'killed' all the Kakashi clones in a fit of rage.
"YOU!!!!!" Shikumi grabbed Kakashi by his collar while he was still dizzy from his clones dispersing almost all at the same time. "YOU ENJOY SEEING ME SUFFER DON'T YA!?!?!"
She threw the cloth in his face.
"NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Naruto sccreamed. The rookie '8' gasped in shock.
"What the hell, Naruto!?" Ino screamed at him.
Shikumi appeared in front of them. "What are you doing here."
"W-We can explain-" Ino shivered under the Jonin's intense killer intent.
"Do you enjoy watching me suffer too?" Shikumi asked in a monotone voice.
"N-No, Nara-san...We were just-"
"Then help me you brats." Shikumi said in an almost desperate tone.
"H-Hai," Ino nodded.
"Good," Shikumi smirked in satisfaction. "You guys will help me paint the walls and arrange the furnitures. No need to give Kakashi space to wipe the window if he needs it. He deserves it, isn't that right, Team seven?"
"But he's our sensei and he's a joni-"
"I'm a jonin too," Shikumi cut Sakura off. "And don't you want to punish him for always being late?"
Their eyes shone at this. I swear Sasuke-chan's eyes shone too. "YES!!!"
"Good." Shikumi turned to her brother. Who just finished cleaning the walls. "SHIKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Shikamaru fell over in shock and squinted his eyes at his sister. "Wha-" he paused when he saw the rookie '8' there. "What are theyy doing here?"
"They're here to help," Shikumi smiled.
"Hey, we aren't here to-"
"You are," Shikumi stared at Kiba, all her killer intent directed at him. Kiba nodded frantically.
"Otouto, help them with the furniture," Shikumi ordered. Shikamaru rolled his eyes and sighed. "Wagatta...bu the furniture stuff is at home-"
"WHAT!?" Shikumi screamed.
"Yeah, you told me to put it there," Shikamaru blinked.
"UGH!!!!! STUPID STUPID STUPID-" Shikumi growled as she shunshined to her house door. She entered the house and bumped into someone. "WHAT THE ACTUAL-"
She paused when she stared at the figure in front of he. "Shinko?"
"Oh, Shikumi! I brought some dumplings and some sweet potato balls my mother made! Your dad said you were cleaning up a house in your compound so I was about to leave," Shinko smiled.
(Sweet potato balls are popular in taiwan. Yea i love em so i put em in here. Shinko is from a foreign country btw.)
"Oh, thanks." Shikumi smiled. "Where's Anko by the way?"
"Oh, she's on a mission," Shinko answered. "So how's the progress?"
"Nice, for now." Shikumi answered.
"Why did you have to scream just now, Naruto!?" Ino grumbled. "If you didn't scream, we wouldn't have been going on another mission on our holiday!!!"
"Well, because more of his face his covered!" Naruto shouted back.
"That's a pathetic reason to scream," Sakura rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, Naruto. You're such an idiot." Ino glared at him.
"By the way, can we arrange most of the furnitures?" Sakura asked. Kakashi sweated nervously.
"Sure if you want, forehead-girl!" Ino smiled.
"What did you say, Ino-pig!?" Sakura growled.
"That's one big house," an unfamiliar voice said from behind them.
"Mhm," Shikumi sighed, munching on the sweet potato balls. "It sucks having to clean it up. But as you can see, I have some brats doing it for me now."
Just then, a scream was heard. "NARUTO YOU MORON!!!!!!!!!!!"
"GOMEN!!!"
"SHUT UP!!! THAT DOESN'T FIX ANYTHING!!!!!!"
Shikumi ran over to the direction of the voice, only to see a big part of the wall being coloured pink while Sakura and Ino were coloured in blue, chasing Naruto.
"You know, if you don't wash that off soon, you'll be blue forever," Shikumi smirked.
The girls froze in their steps. "NOOO!!!!!! WHERE DO I WASH? WHERE DO I WASH!?!?!"
"Well, you can take a shower in the toilet in the house, though I'm not sure if there will be any water.
And they did.
Thankfully, there was water.
But very unfortunately for poor Shikumi, the shower was broken and the 2nd floor bedroom which was just painted was flooded.
And oh boy.
"YOU...." Shikumi'shair flew behind her back as she stared at the flooded room, purple paint covering the walls and floor.
"S-Shikumi-san..." Sakura and Ino trembled.
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!!"
------------------------------
'I'm can't believe my first mission with them is a C-rank...' Shikumi sighed. 'And it's with....'
She squinted her eyes at the figure next to her who smiled back with closed eyes. 'Kakashi.'
"YATTA!!! WE'RE GOING OUT OF THE VILLAGE~" Naruto cheered.
Tazuna deadpanned at the blonde. "Can I really trust him?"
"Don't worry, Tazuna-san. You have me and Shikumi here, and we're both special jonins," Kakashi gave the bridge builder an eye-smile.
Tazuna nodded, still unsure.
Shikumi POV
I glanced back and turned to face the six genins. "Team 12!"
"Ready, Shikumi-sensei!" They chanted in unison.
"Good," I smiled slightly.
"Well, team 7?"
"READY, DATTEBAYO!!!"
"I'm ready, sensei."
...
"Hn."
We sweatdropped at Sasuke-chan. "Well...let's go."
Why do we need 2 flippin teams for C-ranks.
Yeah, me and Kakashi bonding time, whatever.
Thank god Gai is not here.
"Tazuna-san, are there any ninjas in the Wave Country?" The pink haired girl asked. I think her name is Sakura.
"No, we don't have a hidden village," Tazuna answered.
"Troublesome...it's so hot today...And we have to walk this slow..." I sighed, hunching over like I was going to die. I stepped into a puddle and thanked the gods for putting a puddle in the middle of the road.
Wait, puddle.
It hasn't rained in days.
I smirked under my blank face and started to jump on the puddle, turning into Chibi mode. My students and Kakashi sweatdropped at me, but I saw a knowing gleam in Kakashi's eyes. Sukoze snickered quietly too."Refreshing~"
"Are you sure she's a jonin?" Tazuna deadpanned.
I replaced my self with a log and walked away from the puddle. My team suddenly gasped, realizing that there wasn't supposed to be a puddle. Mm. My students. Good good clever clever cuties.
I sensed two presences behind me and eyed Kakashi who eyed me back. Chains tied us up together and ripped 'us' into ribbons as our subsituitions faked a surprised look.
The demon brothers, Gozu and Meizu.
I held a hand out to Kakashi from behind the bushes. He titled his head in confusion. "Popcorn." He sweatdropped.
The genins were stunned for a moment. My team was first to act.
Sukoze gritted her teeth and glanced at our direction. I sent her a 'peace' sign. She raised an eyebrow before Joroki and Inzo attacked with Sasuke-chan. Sakura guarded Tazuna and Naruto...Wait what is he doing?
Gozu attacked the frozen blonde first, resulting in Naruto's hand getting scratched.
Joroki swung his katana at Gozu who jumped and dodged easily. Gozu threw a few kunais at Joroki which he deflected without breaking a sweat. He jumped back and Sasuke blew a fireball at Gozu. Gozu didn't have time to use a water jutsu and passed out.
Meizu sent a water bullet at Inzo's direction. Inzo ducked down and sent his own water bullet towards Meizu. He made some handsigns and casted a lightning jutsu along with the water bullet, electrocuting Mizu and successfully taking the Chunin out.
Naruto blinked.
"Sensei," Sukoze calledand looked at the bush we were hiding behind.
"W-What do you mean, Sukoze-san? Our senseis are dead!" Sakura said with some tears in her eyes.
"I'm a sensory type, Sakura-san," Sukoze turned to the pink-haired girl.
Kakashi and I stepped out of the bushes. I gave them a warm smile and a wave while Kakashi scratched his head nervously. "
"Yo, guys. You did a great job," I smiled.
"Arigato, sensei!" They grinned and gave each other a high-five.
"W-Why did you let the kids fight if you were alive?" Tazuna shouted at us accusingly.
A dark aura came from Kakashi as he scowled at the bridgebuilder who gulped. "I should be the one asking questions, Tazuna-san." Kakashi turned to me. "I'll have a small talk with Tazuna-san. By the way, good job, Sakura, Sasuke. And team 12."
Naruto glared at the ground.
"I-I..." he held his hand. "I wasn't able to do anything..."
"Are you scared..." Sasuke smirked at him. "Scaredy cat?"
"Sasuke, don't taunt your teammate," I glared at him. He scoffed.
"Naruto," I patted his head. He looked up. "It's yyour first time encountering this kind of situations. It's normal to freeze up like tthat."
He gritted his teeth.
"Oi, Kakashi," I called. He turned to me. "We need to get your student back to the leaf for treatment. The weapons, there were poison in them."
"Right...Sorry, Tazuna-san. But we have to get my student treated as fast as possible. We're heading back to the village. We can't continue the missio-"
Before Kakashi could finish, Naruto stabbed himself in the hand. "L-Let's continue on the mission...I'm fine now..."
"Naruto..." Sakura said with her eyes wide.
"That idiot..." Joroki sweatdropped.
"I swear....I WILL PROTECT YOU WITH THIS KUNAI, TAZUNA-SAN!!!" Naruto shouted.
Tazuna lightened up and looked and Kakashi with hopeful eyes.
"That was quite an inspiring speech, Naruto...but we need to get that wound treated quickly or you'll bleed to death." Kakashi smiled.
Naruto looked horrified. "I DONT WANNA DIE!!! I CAN'T JUST DIE LIKE THIS!!! AH, SOMEONE HE-"
"GAH, YOU IDIOT!!!" Joroki shouted in his face.
"Hypocrite," Sukoze smiled.
"SHUT UP, SUKOZE!!!" Joroki pointed an accusing finger at his female teammate. "NOW, YOU, IDIOT! SIT YOUR ASS DOWN AND GIVE ME YOUR FUCKING HAND!!!"
"Language!!!!" Sukoze scolded. Kakashi sweatdropped.
Joroki held Naruto's hand and put his other hand above it. A green light was emmitted from his hand and Sakura came closer to watch.
"You won't die, you idiot," Joroki deadpanned. "Kakashi sensei, stop scaring your students."
"I got it from your Shikumi sensei. Blame her," Kakashi smiled with closed eyes. I grew a tick mark and smiled deviously at him. He gulped.
"Wow...what's that?" Sakura asked.
"Medical ninjutsu," Joroki answered. "Wow, youu heal pretty fast, Naruto. It's abnormal."
'Can it be...' I thought.
"Is it a bloodline or something?" Sakura asked.
"No, it's more of chakra control. I can teach you sometimes if you want," Joroki smiled.
"Just don't pass your idiocy down to her," Sukoze smiled.
"SHUT UP!!!"
"So..." Inzo mumbled quietly. We turned to him. "Are we continuing the mission?"
I stared at Kakashi. Inzo stared at Kakashi. Sukoze stared at Kakashi. Joroki stared at Kakashi. Naruto stared at Kakashi. Everyone stared at Kakashi. He sweated nervously. "W-Why me?"
"Cause you're the oldest ninja here," We said in unison with Yamato faces.
"U-Uhm." Kakashi was about to pee his pants. You wonder why? Well...I might have directed all of my killer intent at him.
"FINE, FINE, WE'RE GOING!!!"
---
We were walking through the forest when Sukoze and Naruto threw kunais into a bush. A white bunny hopped out and ran away.
"Oh it's just a bunn-"
"DUCK!!!" Kakashi and I shouted. Kakashi dragged his team down while Sukoze dragged Joroki down. A huge sword flew over us.
"Ho, what do we have here?" a voice was heard through the mist.
"That voice..." I muttered. Think, Shikumi, think! Where have you heard this voice before? "Zabuza Momochi." I blurted out.
"Ah, Shikumi Nara, Shadow Blade. There's even Copy Ninja Kakashi Hatake, huh?" Zabuza said. From his voice, I could tell he was smirking. "But I wonder....Are you...Rozuko Sunako...Shikumi Nara?"
"I have no good reason to tell you," I pulled out a summoning scroll and summoned my katana from the Higurashi weapons store. "But yes, I am indeed Rozuko Sunako, Momochi."
"Well, I have been waiting for a rematch, Sunako." Zabuza said.
"Zabuza Momochi...Demon of the mist, A rank. What are you doing here? Are you working for Gato as well?" Kakashi asked.
"So it's true, huh? The demon brothers were defeated by you guys." Zabuza said in a serious tone. "And," his tone turned into one of amusement. "You're now babysitting a bunch of genins?"
"You won't get away this time, Momochi," my tone was icy cold.
"Ho, really? I don't think so. You have never seen the full extent of my power, Sunako. I lost to you because of the environment. You will lose this time." Zabuza smirked.
As much as I wished it was false, it was a fact. Zabuza came from the mist and uses Water Jutsus. We fought in the desert, and his only option was to battle me with Kubikiribocho.
"I'll back you up, Kakashi. As much as I want to fight him, It will be harder with my jutsus. I will find a suitable time and try to trap him with my Shadow Possesion." I said to Kakashi.
Kakashi nodded and lifted his headband to reveal a sharingan.
"Sukoze." I eyed my student. "Can you sense him?"
"No, his chakra is spread all over." Sukoze answered.
"He will probably attack Shikumi or me first," Kakashi whispered to the genins. "So stay back and watch out."
"Sukoze! Catch!" I summoned the second katana I've used and threw it at her. I have an addiction of collecting katanas, okay???
"Thanks, sensei." Sukoze smiled.
"I want to kill you, Sunako," Zabuza spoke. "But I need to finish this quick!" He appeared behind Tazuna and swung his sword down at the bridgebuilder.
Sukoze held his sword back with my katana.
I made a rat handsign. "Shadow sewing jutsu."
My shadow extended. Zabuza's eyes widened and he jumped out of the way.
"Kakashi, back." I eyed him. He nodded and mad some handsigns. "Firestyle : Fireball Jutsu!"
Zabuza jumped backwards and made some handsigns. "Water style : Water bullet!"
The water bullet and fireball clashed into each other, cancelling both the attacks.
"Hah! You think a jutsu as simple as that can get me?" Zabuza smirked. He froze. Kubikiribocho was dropped. "W-What?"
"Shadow possesion jutsu, success." I smirked.
"How?" Zabuza asked, looking at the shadow that hasn't even reached him.
I bent my head down, forcing him to look down too. He gasped in shock. My shadow came out from the ground, connected to his.
"I used my Shadow Pierce Jutsu two dig through the mud and li in wait. My shadow sew jutsu was never meant to trap you, only to guide you to the spot where the other part of my shadow waits."
"But how? You're shadow can't be that long!" Zabuza growled.
"You seem to forget that my shadow went underground, Zabuza," I smirked.
"N-No way..." Zabuza stared at me, wide eyed.
"You have not shown the full extent of your power..." I stared at him straight in the eyes. "And neither have I."
Third POV
Kakashi an towards Zabuza with a kunai to kill him but stopped when three senbon hit Zabuza's neck. The Konoha shinobi looked up to see a man with a mask standing on a three.
"Hunter nin..." Shikumi muttered.
"From your mask, you're a hunter nin of kiri, isn't it?' Kakashi asked.
"Indeed." The hunter nin nodded and jumped down the tree branch. "Thank you for distracting Zabuza. I have been tracking him for quite some time. If you don't mind, I'll be taking him away. Would you like the bounty to be sent to your village?"
"Yes, thank you, shinobi-san." Kakashi nodded, pulling his hitai-ate back down with a tired look.
"Wait-" Before Shikumi could finish her sentence, the hunter nin teleported away with Zabuza's body. "Damn it! Sukoze, can you still sense him?"
Sukoze closed her eyes and did whatever sensing thingy she was doing. She shook her head. "No. Why?"
"Hunter nins are supposed to-"
Sukoze gasped in realisation.
"...Oh." Inzo blinked. "That's bad."
"Ano-sa...what's going on???" Naruto asked.
"We'll talk about that later. Kakash-"
thump.
Kakashi fell unconscious to the ground. "Damn it." Shikumi sighed.
"Troublesome...someone carry it."
No response.
"Ugh, fine. Sorry, Kakashi. This is going to feel weird." Shikumi pulled out a scroll and rolled it open on the ground. She made a handsign and Kakashi disappeared in smoke.
She rolled the scroll close and stuffed it in her pocket. "Let's go kids. Tazuna, can you lead the way to your house?"
"O-Of course." Tazuna nodded.
"But Shikumi-sensei! Where's Kakashi sensei?" Sakura asked.
"Oh, Kakashi?" Shikumi pointed at her pocket. "He's in here."
"Huh?" Sakura tilted her head, confused.
"It's a storage seal, gift from Hokage-sama." Shikumi said. "Now let's get moving. I'll explain more to you guys later when we get a place to rest in."
The genins nodded.
"Well, follow me. We're not far away from my house now," Tazuna said.
---
okay the cringe is coming soon- very soon-
---
"I am NOT. Sleeping with Kakashi."
"Sensei!!! You're about 20!!! Act your age!!!" Sukoze scolded.
"This is 'logic'! I shouldn't be sleeping in the same room with a male almost my age!" Shikumi yelled.
"Fine, whatever. Then how do we do it?" Sukoze asked.
"Okay. Sukoze, Sakura, Inzo and me in one room. Kakashi, Sasuke, Naruto and Joroki in another. Settled?" Shikumi asked.
"I DON'T WANT TO BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS TEME!!!!" Naruto screamed.
"Hn. It's not like I want to be in the same room as you either. dobe," Sasuke glared at Naruto.
"NARUTO UZUMAKI YOU LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW OR YOU SLEEP OUTSIDE THE WHOLE WEEK!!!" Shikumi screamed.
"BUT IF YOU CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT SLEEPING WITH KAKASHI SENSEI THEN WHY CAN'T I!? I DON'T WANT TO SLEEP WITH THE PRIC-"
"Finish that word and you die." Sukoze threatened. Naruto gulped.
"Because," Shikumi growled. "There is a small percent of chance that you guys will get in each others' pants. I'm a female and Kakashi's a male. That's different. Unless...."
Naruto looked up with hope in his eyes.
"...you're gay."
Naruto spluttered nonsense while Sasuke's eyes widened to an impossible extent.
"S-Shikumi-sensei! You can't just say stuff like that!!!" Naruto growled.
"What? Is it true?" Shikumi raised her eyebrows.
"OF COURSE NOT!!!" The two boys screamed.
Kakashi opened his eyes, slowly adjusting to the light. He heard a creak and a gasp as he turned to the door.
"Oh, you're awake, sensei." Joroki said. "Need some water?"
Kakashi shook his head.
"Man, I was trying to see your face," Joroki sighed. "Nevermind. I'll go tell Shikumi sensei. She said she has something to tell you."
The genin exited the room, leaving Kakashi alone. He slowly recalled the memories from his fight and his eyes widened. He got up and ran to open the door. "Shit, I gotta tell Shik-"
Before he could touch the door knob, the door opened and slammed right into his face.
"God, Kakashi.Don't stand behind the door like that," Shikumi squinted her eyes at Kakashi.
"No time for that, Shikumi. Zabuza is still alive," Kakashi said.
A tick mark appeared on Shikumi's head. "WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M A NARA FOR, HUH!? IT'S NOT LIKE I DON'T HAVE BRAINS FOR A JONIN, ESPECIALLY A JONIN NARA!!!!" She screamed in his face.
"O-Oh. You knew." Kakashi blinked. "Are you..."
"What?" Shikumi asked, a blush on her cheeks. Was he going to ask her if she's hurt?
"Are you on your period?"
Shikumi blushed, this time out of anger. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HUH?! FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP IS TO PISS ME OFF!?!?!"
"E-Eh wait-"
"THAT'S IT!!! KAKASHI HATAKE, YOU COME HERE WITH ME RIGHT NOW!!!"
Kakashi was unconscious for another day.
"So, do you guys know how towater walk?" Shikumi asked Team 7.
They shook their heads. Shikumi sighed. "Tree walk?"
Team 7 shook their heads again.
"Troublesome...You guys know literally nothing..." The Nara sighed. "What does Kakashi even teach you huh..."
"Teamwork excercises." They answered in unison.
"Oh, god, oh, god." Shikumi sighed again. "Joroki!!!"
"What?" Joroki turned around, a tick mark on his head.
"Help me train them with their chakra control. It's easy, just tree walking. You can train while they do," Shikumi said.
"Ugh, whatever," Joroki groaned and walked towards Team 7.
"Alright," Shikumi turned to her own team.
"So, sensei....what are we doing today?" Sukoze asked.
"...Hm...what about..." Shikumi tapped her chin in thought. "A small test."
Sukoze gasped as three kunais flew towards her direction. She ducked down and looked aroundin slightpanic only to find that her sensei was gone.
'Damn.' Sukoze thought as she and Inzo got into a fighting stance.
"I've never been motivated to train people properply before," Shikumi's voice rang from all directions. "But since I officially have a team...it's time to get serious."
'I can't sense her!' Sukoze thought as she panicked slightly.
She winced in pain as a minor cut wound formed on her leg, making her fall down.
"A shinobi must stay calm, always." Shikumi said. "That was merely a cut on the skin, next time, it'll be a cut near the muscles."
"Water style : Water Wall!" Inzo shouted, forming some handsigns. A wall of water surrounded them as they looked up to see if Shikumi was there.
"You know my techniques from my last fight," Shikumi said. "You should know that...I don't really attack from above!!!"
They gasped as a shadow rose up from the ground.
"Water style : Liquid shield!" Inzo shot a fist and a shield of water formed in front of him. The shadow disappeared.
"Good, Inzo. Using the sunlight's reflection as a defence against my shadow." Shikumi spoke. "But you cannot attack. What will you do?"
The two genins gritted their teeth.
"Sukoze-chan...what do we do?" Inzo whispered.
"I'm not sure," Sukoze answered. "For how long can you hold the shield?"
"About 30 minutes or so." Inzo answered. "Can we flood this room?"
"We can try...I'm not sure if Shikumi-sensei's shadow can come up from the water." Sukoze answered.
"I think our only choice is to make Shikumi-sensei use up her chakra until she's too tired to move." Inzo suggested.
"Yeah...after all, sensei doesn't have much chakra. It's her speed that's the problem. But still...she doesn't need her jutsus to defeat us..." Sukoze said. "Try to soak her if you get a chance."
"What? Why?" Inzo asked.
"You'll know." Sukoze answered.
Suddenly, a scroll fell from the sky to Sukoze's feet.
"Okay, she's letting us fight fair. She gave me a katana," Sukoze said as she summoned the katana into her hand. "Drop the jutsu, Inzo. We can't do much without Joroki and you can't hold the water wall with the shield much longer."
"Hai," Inzo responded. The water wall and shield poured down and soaked the two a bit.
"Damn it," Sukoze groaned. "Okay, Inzo. Use smaller and more unoticable water jutsus. Try to aim for her feet but anywhere is fine."
"Got it." Inzo nodded.
'Those two are doing quite well...' Shikumi smirked. 'I wonder what they're trying to do...'
'Wait a second...' Her eyes widened. She threw a few shurikens at them and they turned into smoke. 'Damn it...now my position's-'
Suddenly, she felt her feet getting wet. Her eyes widened and she ran. 'I see...they're trying to use water to trace me...Using the reflection of the sunlight, they can see where I went and which direction I'll go...clever.'
"Water Style : Water Wall!!!" A wall of water formed in front of Shikumi, blocking her way. She turned around and her eyes widened.
"Water style : Water Bullet!!!" Three Inzo's shouted at the same time.
'Damn it, a genjutsu! I don't have time-' She jumped up to dodge the attack only to sense some shurikens flying towards her as she fell from mid air.
'SHIT!!!!!!' The kunai dug into her skin.
She fell to the ground, unconscious.
"SENSEI!!!"
---
I ADVISE YOU NOT TO READ STARTING FROM HERE UNTIL THE NEX OMAKE
---
"What's going on here!?"Joroki ran towards his unconscious sensei.
"W-We were training." Sukoze answered.
"With sensei as a dummy!?" Joroki shouted.
They heard a small snicker from the back.
They turned back and saw Shikumi, crossing her arms under a tree. "Sensei!!!"
"Your faces-" Shikumi snorted and covered her hand. "Oh my kami!!!"
The genins deadpanned at her and looked at the 'unconscious Shikumi' who was now a puddle of water.
"So you use elemental jutsus." Sukoze said, the deadpan expression not leaving her face.
"Sorry for scaring you," Shikumi smirked. "But I thought you'd know."
"S-Shut up." Sukoze and Joroki muttered with embarrassed blushes.
"I guess I'm the only Nara who uses elemental jutsus." Shikumi shrugged. "Shadows are still kind of hard to control."
"Oh, hello!!! I was wondering where ou guys were!!!" Tsunami ran towards their direction.
"Oh, Tsunami-san? What are you doing out here?" Shikumi asked.
"It's time for dinner," she informed.
"Oh," Shikumi blinked. "Well, I'm kind of hungry now. Let's go."
Team 12 walked into the room to see Kakashi and Sakura sitting at the dining table.
"Oh? So you're awake?" Shikumi grinned deviously.
"U-Um, yeah. Joroki healed me. I just woke up." Kakashi sweated nervously.
"Well, that's good~" Shikumi smiled sweetly.
"Where are yourteammates, Sakura-chan?" Joroki asked.
"Oh, Sasuke-kun and Naruto are still training," Sakura answered. "By the way, can I also borrow the purple book about pressure points you showed me just now?"
"What? What? Books?" Joroki's eyes shone. "I-I mean! Of course! I'll get it for you right away!!!"
"It's good to see you're getting more serious about your ninja career," Kakashi eye-smiled.
"Y-Yeah, medical ninjutsu is quite interesting." Sakura smiled shyly. Tsunami put some dishes in front of them. Inzo's eyes sparkled as he turned into chibi mode.
"He's so cute," Sakura whispered.
"I know right," Shikumi whispered.
"He always is," Sukoze whispered.
"Joroki won't let me pinch him," Shikumi whispered.
"Of course you can't," Sukoze whispered.
"But why can't we?" Sakura whispered.
"Because he's ouur cinnamon roll, and ours only," Sukoze whispered.
"That's correct," Joroki whispered as he appeared in between the girls with a Yamato face.
"CREEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The three girls screamed.
"How did I not sense you?" Sukoze squinted her eyes at him.
"Here's the book, Sakura-chan," Joroki grinned.
"Oh, thanks," Sakura smiled and took the book gently.
"No problem!!! Return it whenever you want, but," A dark aura radiated off Joroki. "don't you dare lose it."
Sakura gulped and nodded frantically.
"I climbed half a metre taller than ou, dattebayo!!!" Came a shout from outside.
"Hn, whatever, dobe. I still got it higherthan you. You're blind." Came another voice.
The door flung open and the two boys barged in.
They squinted their eyes at each other.
"I'll eat more than you, dattebayo."
"You wish."
"That's my sentence."
"You wish."
"Grr."
"Hn."
"Maa, maa. Calm down. No fighting in here," Kakashi eye-smiled.
"OH MY GOD!" Joroki screamed.
"What, idiot?" Sukoze deadpanned.
"Don't read that dirty book in front of us, Kakashi sensei. That's sexual harassment." Joroki waved a finger in front of the jonin.
"Do you even know what's sexual harassment?" Sukoze tilted her head.
"No."
"Good night, Sakura," Shikumi smiled as she entered the toilet.
"Night," Sakura yawned and headed to the bedroom.
Shikumi turned on the tap and rinsed her hands. A wave of pain suddenly hit her left hand and she gripped it tight.
A pained groan escaped her mouth, her lips quivering in pain. "D-Damn it..."
She bit her lip to stop the loud cry of pain she almost let out. With a shaky right hand, she grabbed a kunai from the weapon pouch nearby (put there in case of an emergency) and cut her left hand carefully.
Blood flowed out from the wound, and it wasn't as moist as blood should be...it was runny and a bit invisible with some purple mixed in it.
"T-Thank god..." A shaky sigh escaped her lips. She grabbed some bandages out of nowhere and started to wrap the wound up, the pain not lessening.
She exited the toilet and stumbled into the bedroom with uneven breathing from the pain.
Quiet as to not wake the genins up, she slipped into her sleeping bag and stared at the ceiling with blank, dead eyes.
'So...it begins here huh...'
"MORE!!!!!" Sasuke and Naruto shouted at the same time. They suddenly paled and threw up behind their seats.
"GAH!!! LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO THEM, JOROKI!!!! YOU!!! YOU PASSED DOWN YOUR IDIOCY TO THEM!!!" Sukoze pointed her chopsticks at the blue-haired boy.
"WHAT!? ME!?" Joroki pointed at himself in anger.
"YES, YOU!!!" Sukoze shouted.
"IF YOU'RE GOING TO THROW UP THEN DON'T EAT THAT MUCH, YOU TWO IDIOTS!!!" Sakura scolded.
"C-Can't....m-must eat to get energy...." Naruto said in a shaky voice as he climbed back up on his chair, the Uchiha doing the same.
Tsunami sweatdropped, chuckling nervously.
Inari scowled as he watched Naruto and Sasuke gobble up more rice with the girls' eyes twitching. "Why..."
They all paused in their actions and turned to look at the young boy.
"Why do you all try so hard?" Inari's voice cracked. "Gato will just beat you and destroy you! You'll all die in the end anyways!!!"
"What...?" Naruto blinked.
(I forgot what he said so imma just put random shit in here mk)
"You guys know nothing! You ninjas just live comfortably under shelters and poke your nose into everything! You don't know pain! You don't know what it's like to lose someone!" Inari cried.
Everyone was dead silent.
Sasuke glared at Inari. 'Know nothing? Don't know pain? Never lost anyone? Is this kid seriou-'
"Keep complaining and you'll lose everything in the end. Keep going and you might just see hope again. That's how this world is," Shikumi said. "We, as ninja here, 'all' lost comrades. Do you really think we live a life without danger? Then you're terribly wrong."
Shikumi eyed the boy again before heading to the kitchen to wash her dishes. She winced as some soap touched the surface of her wound, increasing the pain that never left since yesterday.
With her right thumb, she traced the wound by its side slowly with a frown. A shaky sigh escaped her lips as she scrubbed the plate with a sponge.
"S-Sorry....I'm so sorry..."
---
"If I'm not wrong, Zabuza will be back today," Joroki informed as the Konoha nins walked towards the bridge with Tazuna. "But still, WHY DOES THE IDIOT GET TO SLEEP!?"
"Shut up, Joroki. You're so noisy," Sukoze grumbled.
"Whatever," Joroki pouted. He glanced at Shikumi and turned back to his female teammate. "What's wrong with sensei though? She's so quiet these few days," he whispered.
"I don't know," Sukoze sighed. "And she keeps..."
Sukoze watched as Shikumi rubbed her left hand. "Rubbing her left hand."
"Let's just ask when we kick that Momochi's ass and get back to Konoha," Joroki grinned confidently.
As they arrived at the bridge, Kakashi's eyes narrowed at the mist. "He's here."
They pulled out their kunais and surrounded the bridge builder in a defensive stance. Kakashi pulled up his hitai-ate.
Shikumi grunted a little as her left hand started to tremble. "Curse you...M-Momochi...." she growled under her breath.
"So you're still here, huh? Konoha nins?" Zabuza's voice was heard. "Still pathetic as ever....that one's even trembling," he said in a mocking tone, referring to Sasuke as he appeared out of nowhere.
"I'm trembling...." Sasuke smirked. "...in excitement."
"Go on, Sasuke!" Kakashi shouted.
Sasuke suddenly disappeared and appeared behind Zabuza using a kunai to stab him in the back. As expected, Zabuza turned into water.
"So you can see those were water clones huh?" Zabuza said. "The brat's improving. Looks like you've got a new rival, Haku."
"Indeed," Haku appeared from behind Zabuza.
"The hunter nin..." Shikumi muttered.
Haku disappeared and appeared in front of Sasuke with a senbon. Sasuke's eyes widened. He held the senbon back with a kunai, glaring at Haku.
"Give up, you'll lose. I've gained two advantages. One, we're surrounded by water. Two, one of your hands is blocking my other hand so you won't be able to use it," Haku said.
Sasuke growled. He knew that the Konoha nins outnumber them, but he wanted to defeat Haku, by himself.
"Team 12...." Shikumi narrowed her eyes. "Get ready to attack."
"Hai, sensei," the three whispered. Sukoze pulled out Shikumi's katana.
"....Go."
With a single hand, Haku made some handsigns faster than the raw eye can see.
The Konoha nins' eyes widened. 'Handsigns...with a single hand...'
"Secret Jutsu : 1000 needles of death."
Water rose up from the floor and turned into needles. Sasuke's eyes widened as the needles came flying at him.
"Damn it, Uchiha!" Joroki growled as Team 12 deflected the needles with kunais. Sasuke gritted his teeth. "No one told you to help!"
"Sensei did, fuckface!" Joroki shouted.
"Focus, Joroki!" Sukoze snapped.
"Tsk, whatever," Joroki scoffed.
"It seems I have no choice," Haku made a handsigns, this time with both hands.
"What's that handsignn?" Sukoze narrowed her eyes.
"Don't know," Inzo said, shifting nervously as the air turned cold.
"Secret Jutsu," Haku muttered.
The water on the ground turned into ice, forming into shapes of rectangles.
"Ice...release...?" Shikumi's eyes widened.
"Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystal."
"They're trapped..." Kakashi gritted his teeth under his mask.
"They'll be fine, with Sukoze's kenjutsu sills," Shikumi said. "...hopefully."
'It's coming from all the directions!!!' Sukoze thought as the senbons came flying at them. With their own kunais and Sukoze using Shikumi's katana, they deflected some of the senbons, the rest managing to hit non vital spots and leave scratches on them.
"Please give up. I do not wish to hurt you," Haku said.
"What about no?" Joroki growled.
"Very well," Haku threw more senbons.
"I can't cast a genjutsu," Joroki whispered.
"Fire style : Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke blew a fireball at the mirrors.
"A mere fire jutsu will not work," Haku said.
"What to do..." Sukoze muttered, narrowing her eyes. Sasuke gritted his teeth.
Suddenly, a few shurikens were thrown through the mirror. Haku's eyes widened. There was a tiny explosion outside.
"Tsk...it's that idiot..." Joroki growled. "He should've just stayed hidden!!!"
"Show off...." Sasuke rolled his eyes.
"THE GREAT NARUTO UZUMAKI HAS ARRIVED!!!!!"
"Kakashi....How do you teach your students." Shikumi said with a deadpan.
"..." Kakashi stared at the knucklehead ninja with a poker face.
Zabuza stared along.
"At least he can still attack from the outs-"
"Hey," came a whisper from beside Sasuke, cutting him off.
"Tsk, don't interr- WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!?!?!?" Sasuke excailmed, pointing an accusing finger at the Uzumaki.
"I'm here to help you, why?" Naruto tilted his head.
"We're dead for sure..." Sukoze and Joroki sighed. Inzo deadpanned at Naruto.
"Dobe," Sasuke glared at Naruto.
"Teme," Naruto squinted his eyes at the Uchiha.
"Dobe."
"Teme."
"Dobe."
"Teme."
"Dobe."
"Teme..."
"Dobe..."
"TEME!!!!!"
"DOBE!!!!"
"YOU TWO!!!! WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT!!!!!!" Sukoze glared harshly at he two, deflecting a few senbons coming their way.
"Sorry..." Naruto apologised.
Sukoze sighed.
"We have to do something, we can't stay on the defensive forever," Joroki said.
"I know, I know, Shut up," Sukoze growled.
"Damn. She's not in a good mood." Joroki sweated as he got inot a fighting stance.
Haku narrowed his eyes underneath the mask. 'This can't go on forever...'
He threw more senbons at the genins, this time aiming for vital spots.
Joroki's eyes widened. "He's aiming for the vital spots!"
"Goddamnit!" Sukoze deflected some senbons aiming for Inzo.
"S-Sukoze-chan..." Inzo blinked.
"You okay, Inzo?" Sukoze asked. Inzo nodded. "Ready?"
"What?" Joroki, Sasuke and Naruuto furrowed their eyebrows in confusion.
Inzo made a single handsign. "Water style..."
The waves rose as tall as the bridge. Tazuna shivered.
"Water Dragon!"
A water dragon rose from the sea.
"Lightning style..." Inzo panted. "Lightning Dragon!"
The sky rumbled and lightning stroke. A dragon of lightning appeared from between the clouds.
"Impossible..." Kakashi's eyes widened. "Those are A-rank techniques..."
The two dragons twisted around each others' bodies and let out a roar as they striked three mirrors furthest from the genins.
The mirrors....
shattered.
Inzo's vision blurred as he dropped on his knees.
"Inzo!" Sukoze cried out, catching the boy. Joroki knelt down beside her and inspected him with his chakra. "He's fine. Just a bit of chakra exhaustion. But we'll have to watch over him."
"Ice Style : Ice release."
Just as the genins were about to escape, the three mirrors formed again. Their eyes widened.
Haku panted under his mask. 'That...took a lot of chakra...'
"G-Goddammit!" Sukozee gritted her teeth.
"I'll take care of Inzo since I can't do anything," Joroki rested Inzo in his arms protectively, using himself as a shield for Inzo.
"We'll...think of a way." Sukoze gritted her teeth. "...maybe."
Senbons flew at the genins again, this time at a higher speed.
Sukoze grunted in pain as the senbons hit her in the shoulder, missing her vital spot.
"He's...using wind chakra to make the senbons faster," Joroki gasped out in pain.
"J-Joroki!" Sukoze turned back to her teammate with concern.
"I-It's okay. It's harder for him to hit my vital spot like this..." Joroki said. "Don't defend me. I can heal myself."
"Shadow clone jutsu!" ten shadow clones appeared next to Naruto.
"Tsk!" Sukoze turned to Naruto whose clones disappeared after a barrage of needles.
"Don't waste your-"
"Shadow clone jutsu!!!" Naruto shouted.
Sukoze frowned and sighed.
This battle would never end.
Zabuza jumped, dodging Shikumi's shadow heading for his way.
"I can't get him...." Shikumi gritted her teeth. "I can't see through the mist."
Kakashi narrowed his eyes.
"Thank you, Mikoto," Yoshino smiled. "I'm so sorry to get you busy, but I really need to go on this mission."
"Ah, no, Yoshino, I'd love to take care of Shikumi!!!" Mikoto smiled as she cradled a baby Shikumi in her arms. "She's so cute~"
"Well, I'll be going then. Bye, Mikoto!" Yoshino said as she glanced at Shikumi again before disappearing in smoke.
Mikoto smiled at Shikumi and walked into the Uchiha clan compound.
Fugaku stared at Shikumi as Mikoto fed the little baby with some milk.
"You want to hug her, Fugaku-kun?" Mikoto asked with a smile.
"Hn," was Fugaku's answer.
"Why not? She's cute," Mikoto grinned as little Shikumi giggled, playing with a small strand of Mikoto's hair.
"...Hn," Fugaku looked away.
Mikoto sighed. "And I was wondering if you'd be good with kids..."
"Hn."
Mikoto grew a tick mark. Fugaku gulped. Mikoto sighed and continued to play with Shikumi's little hand. Fugaku almost sighed in relief.
"We're out of salt and we don't have much rice left," Mikoto said as she looked around in the cabinet. "Can you get some groceries for me?"
"Hn."
"Fine," Mikoto sighed. "I'll go get more myself.I'll get some flour too. Take care of Shikumi."
"Hn."
Mikoto deadpanned and walked out of the clan compound with a bag slung over her shoulder.
"ogi-kan," Shikumi mumbled as she crawled over to Fugaku, tapping at his knee.
"...Shikumi." Fugaku said. He looked around and stood up, heading to his office. After a few minutes he came back with some silencing seals.
If Shikumi wasn't a baby, she'd thought he was going to kill her.
Wait, will he?
"gi-kan~" Shikumi crawled over to Fugaku and grabbed his foot, earning a deadly Uchiha glare. She pouted and her eyes watered. Fugaku squinted his eyes at her. 'Don't tell me she'll...'
Tears began flowing down her face.
'No, kami, please no...'
"BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! GG-GWUAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAWAAAAAAAA!!!!"
"S-Shh." Fugaku sweated. If his wife knew that he made her cry, he'd be so dead.
"GWAAAAAAAAAAGWUAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" She only cried louder.
'Do I....hug her?' Fugaku thought, sweating a little.
Shikumi stretched her hands out for a hug.
"...No."
Tears gathered in Shikumi's eyes.
'Shit.'
"GWUAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH GWUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Shikumi finally calmed down after Fugaku gave her a small piece of Senbei. He wondered if babies should really be eating that.
Maybe he should ask his wife. But he decided against it since she might kill him if babies weren't supposed to be fed with Senbei.
Fugaku sighed as Shikumi chewed on the last bit of Senbei he gave her. When was Mikoto coming back? She's been out to get groceries for about 6 minutes.
Then he thought of something.
"...Hn."
Shikumi blinked. "Gawruahh..."
"....Hn."
"Ernwuuuuu..."
"Hn."
"Ewu."
"No, Hn."
"Ewunoo."
"Not E, Hn."
"Huneeee."
"No, say hn."
"Gi-kan."
"No, stop calling me. Say 'hn'."
"Kaa-kan."
"I'm not your mom."
"To-kan."
"Shikaku is at work."
"Gi-kan."
"Yes, you can call me uncle. Now say Hn."
"Hun."
"No, no 'u', just say Hn."
"Huuuuuuuun."
"Hn."
"Hun."
"Hn."
"Hin."
"Almost there. Hn."
"Olgwogweeee....Huuuun."
"No, no, no. Hn."
"Hiiiin."
"Hn."
"Hin."
"Hn."
"Haaaaaaeeeeeeeeyyyyyiiiii."
"No, hn- OW! Don't bite me. Hn."
"Hon."
"Hn."
"Hiiiiin."
"Hn."
"Hin."
"Hn."
"Hn."
Fugaku beamed. "Hn!"
"Hnnnn!!!!" Shikumi giggled.
Mikoto slid open the door. "I'm home!"
She looked around and saw no one. "Maybe they're in the living room."
She headed to the living room and blinked at the scene.
Shikumi was sitting in front of Fugaku.
"Hn."
"Hn."
"Hn, hn."
"Hn."
Fugaku nodded and let Shikumi crawl onto his back.
"Hn!!!!" Shikumi giggled.
Fugaku started to crawl around.
Mikoto suppressed a snicker and ran to the kitchen.
Only if those days lasted forever.
