RECAP: 

Yibo was the elf king of Aldous. He ruled not only Aldous but the entire immortal elf realm. One day, he mysteriously got stuck to Earth. On that first night, he stumbled upon Zhan, a full-time table waiter who was getting bullied in the alleyway. As a king who always stood for justice, Yibo could not stand the immoral act, so he stepped in to help the poor guy. Nevertheless, he did not know he lost his magical power. Despite that, his strength was incompatible. Thus, he knocked down five guys who bullied Zhan with ease. To show his gratitude, Zhan took Yibo to his small apartment. He let the elf king stay for the time being until they both figured out how to get Yibo back to Aldous. 

During the stay, the two developed feelings for each other, especially with Yibo putting down his pride and working as a waiter alongside Zhan to help him with the living expenses. However, when Zhan tried to confess his feelings one day, Yibo rejected him even though he also loved him. He just didn't want Zhan to be heart-broken when he returned to his realm. He thought he did the right thing, but with the appearance of the peacock Yu Chen, his determination crumbled. He could not imagine Zhan kissing and hugging another man. Therefore, the fight of a love triangle began.

Yu Chen lost the fight, resulting in him getting mad. To make up for the embarrassment, he ordered Ji Xun to kidnap Zhan and taught him a lesson. He also wanted Yibo to suffer by seeing Zhan get hurt. The kidnap resulted in Yibo temporary died after shielding a bullet shot at Zhan. But this accident led to unsolved a mystery of why he was stuck on Earth, powerless.

When his soul wandered in between realm, he met his ancestor, Lan Yi, who revealed to him that he was under a trial for accidentally killing a mortal woman in the forest. Now that he sacrificed his life for a mortal in return, he had passed the test. So, he would regain his magical power, allowing him to return to Aldous. However, Lan Yi kept one secret from Yibo. She only told one part of the story. She did not reveal why Yibo and Zhan met on Earth. 

Returning from the death, Yibo committed to stay with Zhan on the mortal realm forever. He planned to step down and crown his younger brother, Jiang Cheng, as king. Nevertheless, he didn't know that during the few months that he was absent, there was havoc in Aldous. Jiang Cheng was severely injured. Song Lan's, the Baltras's king was the one who inflicted this, yet he was also a victim in this case. This resulted in a potential war between Aldous and Baltras. To prevent this, Xingchen, Aldous's youngest prince offered himself as bait, by agreeing to go to Baltras alone. Despite the protest of Xue Yang, his lover, Xingchen was determined to go. In doing this, it also gave Xichen, Jiang Cheng's personal bodyguard, to go on a quest to find a rare flower to cure Jiang Cheng's illness. 

On his way to Baltras, Xingchen found out one unexpected thing. It turned out it was a plan all along to get him out of Aldous. And he just fell right into the trap. But what hurt him the most was the betrayal of someone he held dear. 

Back to Earth, after Yu Chen and Ji Xun got arrested, Zhan and Yibo thought they would finally find peace. They bought many groceries, thinking to make a feast to celebrate. Nevertheless, Xue Yang came to find Yibo, calling him to return to Aldous to fight a war that the Mortez Kingdom (Meng Yao) Is heading toward them.

And that led to Xue Yang coming to find Yibo on the mortal realm and brought him back to Aldous. Yibo promised to return once he won the war. With heavy heart, Zhan had no choice but to let Yibo go. Even after leaving, Yibo remained in contact with Zhan by sending a letter through the mini portal. Nevertheless, a week later, Zhan no longer received any update from Yibo, making him worry. Not to mention he started to feel nauseous. He kept getting dizzy and fought the urge to vomit. When he returned home from work a few days later, he found a magical light in his living room. Excitement surged within him, thinking Yibo finally returned. He dashed toward the light with a smile only to falter his steps when he realized it was glowing yellow and not golden.
