The group eventually found Kaneki about to attack a strong Ghoul. Yomo put a hand on Kaneki's shoulder and told him to rest.

Kaneki fell to his knees and murmured how he had to fight.  Anubis watched from behind with sad eyes as Kaneki fell apart more and more in front of her. His eyes were dull and his hair lost all pigment, turning white.

Uta got on his knees in front of Kaneki and handed him his cloak. "Leave everything to us now, Kaneki," Uta smiled.

Tysukiyama was just sitting on the ground, stabbing the shit out of High C with his kagune. But High C just stood there and took it. Y/n remembered reading the file. There wasn't much on him, besides that he was a monstrous ghoul.

Tysukiyama pushed High C back towards Uta, who shoved his hands through High C's chest. "Not much resistance here, is there?" Uta said.

"Hold him there, Uta!" Yomo said as he went to kick High C. High C's head fell off, but was reattached somehow.

"Well, shit," Anubis said. "Would his dick do that?" Uta smacked Y/n on the back of the head.

"If he's still standing even after that beating, then his healing abilities go far beyond that of a ghoul's," Uta concluded.

"His life force is astonishing." Tysukiyama rubbed his chin in thought. "I wonder what he tastes like."

"Bruh."

Something beeped for High C and he walked down the stairs, leaving the four on their own.

"Follow him?" someone asked.

"No," Yomo sighed, "lets go home." Yomo went to help Kaneki stand, but Kaneki declined the help and said he could do it on his own

The five were about to leave, but Yomo pushed Anubis back. "Not you, Dog."

"Yes me," Y/n said. "It's my job, too."

"Unless you know Kaneki, I don't think it is," Tysukiyama grinned. That sly asshole.

Anubis sighed and took off her mask, revealing her face to Yomo. Yomo's eyes widened, but he went back to stoic. He did a curt nod, Y/n put her mask back on, and the five went.

Time skip

Everyone regrouped outside. Most of them were happy to see Kaneki, but some others were worrying about the elephant in the room. Anubis stood awkwardly next Uta as people worried about Kaneki.

"You okay?" Uta elbowed Y/n, but also paying attention to the conversation. Y/n shrugged and played with her fingers nervously.

"You?" Uta shrugged as well. The two were about to talk, but stopped when they heard Kaneki say he wasn't returning to Anteiku.

"I have to take care of some things," Kaneki said, looking into the distance like he was targeting something.

Banjou and his followers offered themselves to help Kaneki in his 'mission'. Kankei accepted, but looked down as Tsukiyama got down on one knee and offered himself as the 'shield'.

"Fine." Kaneki turned to Tsukiyama threateningly. "But if you become unnecessary, I will kill you."

Tsukiyama seemed like he had a fan-boy attack and fell dramatically to the group, a huge grin on his face.

Touka wanted to join, but Kaneki wanted her to attend collage. He wanted to visit her and see her latte art. "I really like your rabbit pictures," he smiled.

Kaneki turned to face Anubis and Y/n. Her motioned for Anubis to take off her mask, so she did. "Thanks for saving me, Y/n. You've been kind. I'd offer a spot, but I know Anteiku needs you more than me."

Y/n nodded her head and gave Kaneki a sad smile. She walked over to his and ruffled his hair. "Be good, kid. I'll expect to see you at Anteiku for coffee sometime." Y/n walked back over to Uta.

For one last time, Kaneki turned to face Touka and gave her the biggest smile he could muster. "See you, Touka-chan."

Before Kaneki walked off, Nishio yelled at Kaneki. "Don't be rash! Don't die out there, you shitty brat!"

Uta walked over to Kaneki. As he walked he said, "It was worth coming to see the result."

Uta stopped next to Kaneki and said, "Your mask is starting to suit you. It's gentle."

Just then, Kaneki walked off, his body disappearing into the darkness. The stars were his only light source now.

This chapter was shorter, yeah. It's hard to write when the anime shows sHIT and you have to use the aWESOME MANGA! So I have a question! Would you guys care if I used the manga to write this? Comment on your answer:

1. Yes! Use the manga.

2. No! Use the anime.

Personally the manga is easier for me to use and it has much more information. Like, I learned a lOT about Ayato and Touka's past. But it's your guy's votes :)

I'll write the next chapter that follows the anime or manga when I at least get 8 votes.
