It was finally winter break as most of the students left by boat to go home.

The few that were already stayed at the island were already at their dorms or hanging out with each other, being nice and warm in the rooms.

There was another person also staying around for the break, but he wasn't having the time of his life...

"Help! HELP!"

The guy was running for his very life through the forest, like a monster was after him.

'I can't believe this is happening!' He thought, glancing over his shoulder as he kept running, 'I can't believe he came alive! He took my friends...' And then, out loud... "PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME!"

But as he ran, the sound of footsteps was made right behind him. "Run as fast as you can mortal; you won't back out of our deal..."

Unknown to the evil Spirit, Lowemon was watching with Sakuyamon.

"This can't be good." Lowemon frown, "We better warn Ai about the spirit."

"Yes, that's not all." Sakuyamon nodded, "That spirit is willing to sacrifice others to be alive, Ai is definitely in danger her powers are too strong."

"Let's go."

The Darkness and Guardian Fox left the area.

At the Slifer dorm, Aira decide to stay for the holidays, instead of going home to see her uncles and aunties due to the fact that they'll are really busy with their own work or stuff.

So Aira, Syrus and Chumley, along with Zane and Aleixs they stay as well. They decide to stay with their friends this time.

The normally loud Slifer dorms were now rather quiet as only a few Slifers occupied it now.

Professor Banner was the only faculty member left to chaperone them.

Professor Banner, Chumley, Alexis, and Zane are roasting some marshmallows while Aira and Syrus are dueling each other.

Aira: 2000

Syrus: 1500

"The kid if getting better." Lobomon commented.

"Ai is getting better at going easy on some opponents." Agunimon said. "At this rate she'll be losing."

"Hey!" Aira shouted. "I can hear ya know."

Both HEROs looked at Aira with a sheepishly look mostly the Flame, expect Light who looked away not hearing what she said.

On Syrus's side, he controls two cartoon-like vehicle monsters: one that looks a bicycle and the other is a small helicopter.

Aira doesn't have any monster on her side of the field, which is until Syrus ends his turn. She draws a card from her deck, "Let's go I summon Moonlight Snow Bear!" Her snow bear appeared giving a growl.

"That's reminds me of something I forget to ask." Aira turned to face the two Obselik, "No offence, Zane, Alexis but why are you two staying with us?"

"Well I'm staying with Syrus and Alexis is here because she doesn't what you to be the only girl here." Zane said.

Aira raised an eyebrow, "Okay..." She was about to continue her duel.

Sakuyamon appeared next to Aira, "Aira be careful we got company." She warned.

"Huh? What company?" Aira asked confused.

Lowemon was on the look out, he could sense that the spirit was getting close, "Something or some spirit is out there and it's not good."

"Your kidding."

"That person is here."

Everything is peaceful until they heard someone screaming, "Someone! Help me!"

Then the group heard something break down the door from the entrance.

Both Aira and Syrus stop their duel as the holograms disappear.

They all turned to where the noise was coming from and saw a male Obelisk Blue student who has shoulder-length, brown hair and wears tinted glasses.

They are surprise to see him, crashing through the windows of the Slifer Dorm.

"That's him." Lowemon pointed out.

Aira nodded, "Hey buddy? What happen? Are you alright there?" She asked.

"No, I'm not," He answers as he slowly lifts his head up. "It's Jinzo... He's... He's... He's after me!"

Aira and Syrus look at each other out of confusion.

"I think he should see the school nurse." Syrus said.

Professor Banner walks up to the Obelisk Blue student and helps him up. "I know you! Your name's Torrey; you were in my Para-Dueling class."

"Para-Dueling...? Now I'm wondering if this school has any normal classes?" Agunimon asked sweat dropping.

Aira sweat dropped, "You me both Agunimon."

The student, Torrey, nods his head. "Professor Banner!" He said in a panic state, "Everything you said about Duel Spirits being real! It was all true!"

Aira look at Professor Banner with disbelief, 'He knows about Duel Spirits!'

"Uh," Aira spoke, "better make that the school's therapist."

Professor Banner calms Torrey down and asks him for everything that happened from the very beginning.

Torrey explains it happened a while before Winter Break started; he told some of his friends about Professor Banner's class and wanted to try out summoning these Duel Spirits, and one of them happens to be Jinzo.

They used an Ouija Board to contact Jinzo and the spirit asks Torrey to offer three sacrifices.

Torrey lowered his head. "We heard a voice and it said, 'Give me three, and I'll be free'. But we thought that he meant cards!"

Banner frowned, "Dear me... mere cards alone won't satisfy Jinzo's appetite. This is just awful!"

"Ya, got that right there buddy." Agunimon said.

"Spirits are never satisfied with duel monster cards." Tsukimon shook her head. "Especially since your trying to summon them from their realm."

Aira eyes widen, "You don't mean what your all thinking right?" She asked unsure.

"You bet we are Ai. Listen." Lobomon said.

"What did Jinzo mean by, give me three and I'll be free?" Syrus asked.

Torrey looked at him and said, "He meant people!"

"People!?" Syrus freaked out.

"D-did he just say... P-people?!!" Chibi Blossom and Snow exclaimed in fright.

"Correct." Yubel said.

"The worst thing was that we had already agreed..." Torrey lowered his head again, "...before we knew better. Now my friends..."

Syrus freaks out when he heard that, while Aira couldn't believe what she heard.

"This is another reason why, humans shouldn't mess around with duel spirits including trying to contact one." Yubel said. "It comes with great sacrifices."

Aira agreed.

Alexis couldn't believe it as well," Are you sure that they didn't leave home for the winter?" She asked.

"I thought so too," Torrey replies, "but I called their parents and they have no idea where they are or at least heard a word from them. I even try to leave the island, but he was there... Waiting for me..."

"Oh great, just what we need another evil person but this time a duel monster." Agunimon said.

"I'm not sure we're in agreement that we should believe Torrey's story, but I do know that I can't simply ignore his acting. He's too scared and I would be too if I were him." Kazemon said.

"I agree." Chibi Blossom and Snow nodded.

Before they can say anything, the lights have gone down as if the electricity is gone.

Banner held up his hands as Pharaoh let out a hiss. "Relax everyone, maybe it was just a fuse going out."

"Or maybe it was just a light bulb?" Chumley offered.

"Or maybe... it was me!"

Everyone yelled and turned to the door, seeing a tall man in a black leather coat and hat standing just outside, holding an unconscious Torrey under his arm.

Everyone including the cat freaked out.

"Let Torrey go, Jinzo!" Aira snapped.

"We have a deal!" Jinzo cackled before turning and running off into the woods.

"Hey, get back here!" Aira quickly gave chase and everyone soon follows.

Aira keep on running and running until she reach her destination, which is the island's power plant.

Then Aira notice that she lost her friends coming here. "Oops, I must off ran off to fast."

"Aira look." Lowemon pointed to Torrey lying on the ground at the far end of the power plant.

Aira try to walk up to him, but she was stop by a bolt of lightning from the electrical towers and it almost hit her.

"Hey electricity is my power pal!" The Elemental HERO of Thunder complained. "Not yours."

Aira rolled her eyes at him.

Element HERO of Thunder Beetlemon appearance, is that he has a large horn on his head, he is covered in a blue and yellow armor-like exoskeleton, armor plates just above his knees bears the insignia of his HERO symbol. {Digimon Frontier: The Legendary Warrior of Thunder}

Then the trenched man appears in front of Aira as he took off his disguise to reveal a scary-looking bald man in a cybernetic body.

That man is Jinzo and he looks transparent as a ghost.

"Let Torrey go!" Aira shouted with anger.

"Sorry," Jinzo said in a malicious tone, "but he's needed for my birth to reality."

Aira looked at Torrey than at him, "Then just take me instead! I think I'm more suitable to be your sacrifice!"

"WHAT?! AIRA ARE YOU MAD?!" Everyone of her duel monsters exclaimed in shock.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Moonlight Magician Girl and Dark Magician Girl shouted.

"AIRA JUDAI YUKI! WHAT IN RA NAME ARE YOU THINKING?!" Yubel scolded.

Aira flinched at the shout, including the angry tone, when one of her uncles or aunties uses her full name she's in deep trouble. "I'm so sorry it was the only way for Jinzo to lose. I can't just stand here and let him sacrifice anyone while I'm here."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean you can sacrifice yourself!" Agunimon exclaimed.

"Your uncles aren't go to be very happy especially Kaiba and Yugi." Tsukimon stated.

Aira flinched and shivered more.

Jinzo looks at her, "That is true. I can sense that you have a lot of powers. Very well, then you shall become my sacrifice!" He said.

A lightning bolt shock out towards Aira but Beetlemon deflects it, so she was safe.

Jinzo was surprised, "It seems like you have something or someone is protecting you," He said, "the only way to weaken that protection is to duel you. But not just any duel; a Shadow Game!"

"Not again." Aira whine. "I just got off the hook from Uncle Seto."

"No happening pal." Beetlemon glared.

"Aira no arguments your using us." Lobomon said glaring at Jinzo. "That guy is going down, back to where he came from."

"I agree with him." Moonlight Magician and Dark Magician said.

"O-okay." Aira nodded.

"What's wrong?" Jinzo asks. "Are you afraid of the Shadow Game?"

Aira eyes shift to demonic colour, "No." She put on her duel disk and activated it. "Maybe I should show you what real evil Shadow Game is like."

Jinzo laughs, not believing what Aira is saying and he a duel disk appears on his right arm. "You're a fool. Time to start the Shadow Game!"

Aira: 4000

Jinzo: 4000

Aira heard her name being called and the others running towards her and Aira eyes changed back before they arrived.

They stop and look at Jinzo and Aira.

"Ai." Syrus spoke, "Are you dueling Jinzo?"

Five large holographic cards appeared behind Jizo, serving as his opening hand, "Let's..." Electricity crackled as a sixth card appeared in front of Jinzo. "First, I summon Malice Doll of Demise in attack mode!" A very creepy looking doll in overalls with a large axe appeared on the field.

The doll's wide eyes were looking at Aira with bloodlust but backed away seeing Yubel who was not happy.

"Next, I'll play the Continuous Spell card, Ectoplasmer!"

Another card was revealed from behind Jinzo, and stood in front of him.

"This fiendish spirit allows each player to sacrifice a monster on their Field at the end of their turn. Then, half of the monster's ATK is dealt to the opponent as Direct Damage!"

A long, white worm–like spirit rose from the Doll, and flew right through Aira's chest.

The Slifer winced as her life points went down.

"Aira!" Alexis, Syrus and Chumely exclaimed in worry.

Aira: 4000 - 800 = 3200

"Ai's already falling behind and it's not even her first turn yet!" Syrus gasped.

"And it's gonna get worse, that doll can come back to life since it was sent to the Graveyard by a Continuous Spell." Zane added.

"Afraid so." Aira said and drew her sixth card, "I summon Elemental HERO of Water Rainmon!"

A blue cloud appeared on the field, a young and cute little girl with light blue jester hat that falls into two long straight blue bangs parted on either side of her face and big bright blue eyes, a blue tear drop shaped jewel on her forehead. Her shirt collar is cut into many points and are tipped in Aqua droplets shape, light blue poofy sleeve top and pointed boots, the cuffs of which tipped with raindrops. {CCS: The Rain}

The little girl smiled as she was riding on her cloud.

"Oh she's so cute." Alexis said.

"Elemental HERO? Aira is using her HEROs!" Syrus exclaimed. "That's reminds me. What's going on?" He turned to Banner, pointing to the shimmery creature, "Why does Jinzo look like that anyway?"

Banner looked at Jinzo, and then looked at the towers which still sparked electricity, putting two and two together. "He's using the power of the supply station to keep himself in this world until he can get Torrey's soul. He's a crafty one..."

"I'm not done next I play Lightning Thunder Call." Aira said, "This card allows me to call another Elemental HERO of Thunder to the field and so Elemental HERO of Thunder Beetlemon!" A card popped out of Aira's deck and she placed it on her disk.

A strike of lightning appeared onto the field, showing her thunder HERO.

Elemental HERO of Thunder Beetlemon:
ATK/ 1600 - DEF/ 2100
Level 3

"Alright pal you pick with the wrong person to mess with." Beetlemon pointed.

"Alright Rainmon attack his life directly." Rainmon smiled and flew over and started to pour rain on him.

Jinzo: 4000 - 1500 = 2500

"Your next Beetlemon."

"Right. Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon calls lightning to his body and then releases it from his fist striking Jinzo.

"Argh!" Jinzo groan.

Jinzo: 2500 - 1600 = 900

"The match is still going so... sorry about this Beetlemon."

"No worries about it."

"Right I use your spell against you. So I sacrifice Beetlemon and half of his attack points goes to your life point." Aira said.

Beetlemon fell to his knees, but a spirit form of itself rose from the body and punched Jinzo in the chest, just like its physical counterpart did.

Aira: 3200

Jinzo: 900 - 800 = 100

"Aw yeah!" Moonlight Magician Girl cheered.

"Sweet!" Chibi Blossom and Snow cheered.

"Lishus!" Chumley grinned.

"Way to play Ai!" Syrus cheered as well.

"Nice move." Alexis smiled.

"Not bad." Zane commented.

Syrus looked at his brother in shock.

"I place one card face down and end my turn." A card face down appeared in front of Aira's field, "Come on Jinzo, that's the best you got." Aira taunted.

Jinzo growled as electricity crackled again making another holographic card appear in front of him. "A game that you will soon lose; since Malice Doll of Demise was sent to the Graveyard thanks to an effect of a Spell card, he automatically resurrects..."

The possessed doll, armed with his axe reappeared, with the same menacing look.

Aira raised an eyebrow with the monster summoned again, "Again with the doll, it's official I'm starting to hate dolls." She groaned. "What gives?"

"Next I play, Nightmare Life Alive! [A/N: Made Up card to give Jinzo a life point boost.] When this spell is activated I gain 2000 life point boost."

Jinzo: 100 + 2000 = 2100

Aira groaned when his life points went back up to 2000.

"I'm not done, I summon Emissary of the Afterlife in attack mode..." A fiendish grim reaper like monster in a black cloak, wielding a scythe floated next to the doll.

Emissary of the Afterlife

Level 4

"Alright now Malice Doll attack her HERO of Water with Cleaver Heaver!" Jinzo commanded.

The doll laughed darkly before throwing its axe at Rainmon who cried out and was destroyed.

Aira: 3200 - 100 = 3100

"On second thought, maybe it would've been better to play some defense..." Chumley whimpered.

"Don't count Ai out yet." Alexis said. "I'm sure that face down is gonna help her as always."

"She's right." Zane agreed.

Jinzo pointed to Aira, "Since you have no monsters out, I can attack you directly with Emissary of the Afterlife; Sickle Slasher!"

The Emissary raised its scythe into the air and it glowed, ready to strike.

"Not so fast!" Aira cried out and her card was revealed. "I play my Trap card, A HERO Emerges! Now, you can pick a card from my hand and if it's a monster, I can Special Summon it out instantly. So go ahead and pick!" She held out her cards.

Jinzo lifted a finger that sparked the card he pointed to, "Far right!"

Aira looked at the card and placed it on the field, "Thanks! I play Elemental HERO of Metal Rivomon!"

A burst of heavy metal erupted from the ground and appeared from the metal spikes her metal HERO, whose a male warrior in a armour suit, shirt dark silver grey hair, silver eyes, holding a steel metal sword and a shield in his left hand.

"Check it out a new HERO." Syrus exclaimed in awe.

"I'm seeing a lot of new HEROs from Aira's deck." Alexis pointed out.

As soon as that happened, Rivomon and Emissary of the Afterlife rushed, attacked, and destroyed each other into pixels.

"Foolish mortal!" Jinzo snapped, "By sending Emissary of the Afterlife to the Graveyard, his special effect is activated. Now, each of us can take a Level 3 or lower monster from our Decks and add them to our Hands. I choose Thousand–Eyes Idol." A card image of the famous blob with many eyes with hands and legs, a striped pointy hat and blue cape that Maximillion Pegasus used to fuse with his Relinquished to make Thousand–Eyes Restrict, appeared and was sent to the Jinzo's Hand.

Aira flinched seeing that monster, 'I heard story from Uncle Yugi about that monster when he duel Grandpa Pegasus.' She thought, 'Not my day at all.' "Then I'll summon Elemental HERO of Miracle Bellamon!" A card popped out of her deck and she place it on her duel disk.

Blizzard of feather appeared on the field, soon showed her HERO of Miracle.

Elemental HERO of Miracle is a young girl around 14 tan skinned, long hip length sky blue hair and blue eyes, wearing a white sleeveless top that showed her stomach with matching shorts and light blue elbow gloves, knee high light blue boots. Around her neck is a white chocker that has a gold pendant with a HERO symbol on it, she has large white wings and on her face she has two blue stripes on both her cheeks.

Elemental HERO of Miracle Bellamon:
ATK/ 1300 - DEF/ 1000

"And I end my turn, but don't forget the effect of my Ectoplasmer..." Jinzo reminded. "I'll send him to Graveyard and inflict half of its ATK points to you as Damage!" His doll vanished and its spirit wrapped itself around Aira's body, damaging him.

Aira: 3100 - 800 = 2300

Jinzo laughed again. "Having this duel was a wonderful idea. It's much more fun, enjoying something... slowly tasting it instead of taking it all in at once."

Aira: 2300

Jinzo: 2100

"Aira, your legs!" Syrus yelled out pointing to the Slifer Queen legs.

The female Slifer looked down to see that her legs were looking like Jinzo's body, shimmery and fading out.

"AIRA!" Chibi Blossom and Snow yelled out.

"Your kidding." Moonlight Magician Girl gasped.

Moonlight Magician frown, "Jinzo is not joking around."

"What in RA name is happening?!" Aira exclaimed in shock.

"What's happening is that I'm cashing in on our duel, girl. You lost half your Life Points, so I'm taking half of your life force," Jinzo explained, "and it feels good!"

"This guys is a creep." Yubel glared. "Disgusting."

"A spirit?" Jinzo said in surprise and shock.

"Hey, she's a friend first a spirit second." Aira growled.

Yubel looked at him, "You just notice me now you brain head. Aira has plenty of spirit friends."

"Yubel, your not helping."

"Fine." Yubel looked away.

"Not happen Jinzo and I'll end this battle now!" Aira declared and drew her fourth card, "I play Pot of Green allowing me to draw two new cards!" She drew two more cards and she smiled seeing the cards, "Next I play Fusion Evolution and fuse together my Elemental and Beast of Light that are in my hand to fusion summon Elemental HERO Ultimate Light Beowolfmon!"

A bright erupted from Aira's deck relieving two Light monsters has they combine together to form a new HERO with short neck length blonde hair and red scarlet eyes, his body is full silver and light purple amour wolf human hybrid like, both his arms algae three large yellow claws, same with his feet expect for grey and holding a weapon which look like a lance with two long yellow claws.{Digimon Frontier: Fusion Evolution Beowolfmon!}

Elemental HERO Ultimate Light Beowolfmon:
ATK/ 5200 - DEF/ 2700
Level 10

"Argh!!!" Jinzo cried out as the bright was blinding him.

"Man that's bright!" Syrus exclaimed as the bright light was blinding him as well and the same with the rest.

When the light started to die down everyone was able to see the new fusion HERO clearly.

"That's one awesome HERO." Syrus cheered.

"Totally lishus bro." Chumley said.

"Now that's amazing." Alexis said.

"Yes and check out its power level!" Professor Banner exclaimed in shocked, "The attack points are far more greater than a Egyptian God card."

"No way." Zane said.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Jinzo shouted out. "No monster should have that high power attack points!"

"Oh, it's possible pal." Beowolfmon smirked. "One is in front of you."

"I activate his special ability which allows me to special summon back a HERO from the graveyard and I chose Elemental HERO of Thunder Beetlemon!"

"Oh yeah I'm back baby." Beetlemon pumped his fist.

"Sweet, let's end this." Aira said, "Beowolfmon attack his Thousand-Eye Idol!"

"With pleasure." Beowolfmon smirked and his weapon began to glow, "Frozen Hunter!" His weapon slash through the monster destroying it.

Jinzo cried in pain as his life points dropped down immediately.

Aira: 2300

Jinzo: 2100 - 5200 = 0

Then the huge burst of light faded after Jinzo's defeat, Aira and the others took their arms as they now see that Jinzo was gone and they looked to see the now unconscious Torrey and just a few feet from him were the other two unconscious boys.

"Thank goodness that's over." Aleixs sighed.

Zane and Syrus nodded and walked over towards Aira.

"You okay Ai?" Syrus asked.

"You took quite a hit back there." Zane pointed out.

"I'm fine but... I'm in so much trouble..." Aira anime cried tears. "I was just off the hook."

The two brothers blinked, "Huh?"

Professor Banner then went to check on the other unconscious students, "They're alive at least. They're all back; safe and sound." He said.

"Think they'll remember what happened?" Syrus asked.

"Probably be best if they forgot." Aira said. "But I sure won't. Duel Spirits aren't just real, they're dangerous. Well... some of them are, but not all."

"I hear you on that." Alexis agreed. "Chumley, Professor Banner, Zane, can you help me take these guys back to campus?"

The three guys nodded and went to grab the students.

"What a day?" Aira stretched her arms.

"You said it." Agunimon and Lobomon agreed.

Everyone went their separate ways, back to their dorms to rest, especially Aira who was completely exhausted from duelling Jinzo.
