It was early morning when a truck filled with soldiers pulled up to the Slifer dorm. Professor Banner exited his room. "Who's playing war at this time of day?" He wondered. He looked up to see the soldiers rapidly ascending the steps. "Oh no, it's the Disciplinary Action Squad! They only show up when a student is in serious trouble, and they're heading right for Aira and Syrus room!"

Up on the top floor of the Slifer Dorm a woman wearing a green beret and military uniform with a black cape was standing in front of Aira's room, while in front of Syrus's door was a man with a similar uniform as the woman minus the cape, but with a pin that showed that he was second-in-command of the Disciplinary Action Squad.

Inside the room the female Slifer are sleeping peacefully until forceful knocks were heard along with: "Open up! Open this door right now! Or we'll bust it down!" A woman's voice ordered.

Aira sat up still half asleep before murmuring "Is that so? You and what army?"

"The Disciplinary Action Squad army!" The same voice yelled.

"Oh boy." Sakuyamon sigh.

"Look like Mokuba was right." Yubel said.

"This isn't going to be good." Tsukimon informed.

That got Aira's immediate attention as she got out of bed immediately to open up to see an angry military woman.

"You must be Aira Judai Yuki, I take it that's Syrus Truesdale and Chumley Huffington." The woman said pointing to the small bluenette and big guy. "Now the three of you get dressed! You're all under campus arrest." The woman said in an authoritative voice.

"What'd we do?" Syrus asked.

"That all be made clear at the interrogation." The woman said.

After arriving, they walked near the interrogation room inside the school and there Aira and Syrus standing there.

Syrus was freaked out while Aira had a tired look while walking.

"SUSPENDED?!" The Syrus and Chumley exclaimed, Syrus a little more loudly.

Aira was quite she knew this already and accepted it.

The three Slifers were now standing in a dark, large, circular room with the light shining on them and three giant TV screens above them, each one with a different person on them. The three were Dr. Crowler, Chancellor Sheppard, and the woman from the D.A.S.

"That's why I suggest," the D.A.S. woman replied, "You three have trespassed into the Abandoned Dorm in the woods, which is strictly forbidden, and we have received an anonymous letter from a faculty member and an eyewitness who backs it up. You three must be punished to make an example for all the students!"

"HOLD IT!"

Everyone turned to the female Slifer. "How would that faculty member know that anyone was out there?" She growled. "What proof do they have?! How can you believe a letter without any pictures or evidence?!"

At that point, Crowler began to sweat.

Slifer and her dragons growled at the cross dresser guy dangerously to kill.

"I knew it!" Aira let out a louder growled which surprised some people. "Fine if your going but a punishment than suspend me only?"

Syrus and Chumley gasped, "What?! But Ai!"

"You know Aira your UNCLES and AUNTIES aren't going to be happy." Sheppard pointed out.

Aira grunted and the grunt reminded the head master of Seto Kaiba, "No worries my uncles already know the full story which is why that Uncle was angry for the fact I was in danger. I call them everyday at night to give an update."

"Who is this guardian of yours to understand your getting suspended?" The woman asked.

Aira glared, "You don't want to got there. I'm an orphanage, my parents died when I was 5 in an car accident. And my guardians you'll be shocked on finding out who they are." She turned away from the screens.

"Maybe we can organise the punishment..." Sheppard said sweating a bit. He really didn't want to face Seto Kaiba and Yugi Mutou in person asking why there niece was suspended for a stupid cause which they know, along with the rest of there friends especially the females anger which is not pleasant at all.

While Sheppard was thinking this over, Crowler jumped in. "But what kind of an example are we setting, that we are a bunch of hard-hearted tyrants? I say that we arrange something more sporting..."

"Sporting?" Aira narrowed her eyes at Crowler's monitor. "What do ya mean?"

"Well Aira...how about you and Syrus team up and play a tag-duel?" Crowler suggested, "Win and you go free...lose, and you both are expelled?"

"A tag-duel?" Aira smiled at the idea, "That sounds sweet!"

Syrus turned to her, his face saying that he really didn't agree with him, "B-but Ai! He said we'll get expelled if we lose!" He whispered.

"Chancellor, what do you say? I believe they have accepted the conditions..." Crowler asked Sheppard.

Sheppard nodded. "Very well...I'll arrange some opponents immediately."

"Oh now Chancellor." Crowler cut him off, looking back at Aira, Syrus and Chumley. "Don't worry yourself about this! Allow me to find some opponents for these boys."

Then suddenly the door opened releasing the Obelisk Queen.

"Wait!" Alexis exclaims. "Chancellor, I was at the abandoned dorm too!" Everyone is surprise to see Alexis Rhodes coming in the office saying that. "Listen, they were at the dorm helping me after I got kidnapped."

"I'm not going to explain." Aira cut in. "You guys won't even believe us." She walked away, "We'll do the tag-duel." With said she closed the door.

"A-ai! Wait up!" Syrus shouted out running towards the door and closes it with Chumley and Alexis behind.

At the rocks area were the docks are Chumley was standing out on the edge of a cliff where the waves crashed onto the rocks, but his attention was not at the ocean, his attention, was below the cliff.

There was a small beach and looking down, Aira and Syrus were there ready to start a duel. "Ok guys, remember, this is just a practice duel for your upcoming tag-team match, so go easy!" He called out to them

Aira smiled while Syrus looked like was about to wet his pants, if the waves nearby didn't do that for him first. "Of course, I don't think Aira knows how to go easy..."

"That's probably a good thing..." A female voice said. Chumley turned around to see Alexis, walking towards him and looking down at Aira and Syrus.

"Hey Alexis, you're just about to see Aira and Syrus duel. And what do you mean by that?" Chumley asked.

"I mean I know Dr. Crowler and he's not going to be matching them up, with any pushovers. Both Aira and Syrus need to be at their best, because if they're not, they'll both be expelled...

"Alright Syrus..." Aira inserted her deck and waved towards her friend. "Get your game on buddy and let's have some fun!"

Syrus sighed. "Yeah... fun... sure. Might as well squeeze some fun before we fail and get kicked out of here..."

"Uh...what was that?"

"Oh... uh, nothing!"

"Then, let's duel!"

Again, he sighed, "Yeah, yeah... let's duel..." Both players drew their starting hand.

Aira: 4000

Syrus: 4000

"Let's start Syrus!" Aira said as he drew her sixth card. "Moonlight Crystal Fairy in attack mode!"

A crystal appeared on the field and scattered showing a little girl with fairy wings, long blue hair, purple eyes, wearing a white dress with crystal stone decorated on it and crystal blue boots.

Moonlight Crystal Fairy:
ATK/ 1000 - DEF/ 1000

"Hey she's cute." Chumley said.

"And then I'll throw down a facedown! Your go!" Aira finished placing a card facedown. 'I'll have to make this duel last long as I can.' She thought.

Syrus drew his card. "Let's see..." He looked at the card he had just drawn and smiled. 'Oooh! My Patroid has enough power to take down that Fairy!'

"Hey, Syrus! What's that smile for, you got something good?" Aira called out to him.

Panicking, Syrus nodded. "Uh... yeah I think so. Patroid attack mode!" He declared as a car you see from one of those old kids' show, complete with big eyes, and a police hat on its roof, its wheels sticking out like arms and legs appeared.

Patroid:
ATK/ 1200 - DEF/ 1200
Level 4

Agunimon and Kazemon sweat dropped, "It's a toy car." He said.

"Looks like it." Tsukimon said.

"Now attack with Siren Smasher!" Patroid drove off towards Fairy, its siren blaring and beaming out red lights, aimed straight at the winged Hero.

Yubel blinked, "Why didn't he activated that Patroid ability?"

"Bluntly... He forgot or just scared." Dark Magician Girl.

"Not so fast, Syrus! I play my Trap, Negate Attack!" Aira declared as her facedown card rose upward. The Trap card unleashed a strange vortex that forced Patroid backwards, away from Fairy, leaving her fairy safe from attacking this turn.

"Aw man..." Syrus moaned. "I should've known your facedown was a Trap..."

"Duh... Syrus walked right into that one." Chumley muttered, shaking his head. "Can't believe he did that..."

"And he could've avoided that if he activated Patroid's ability..." Alexis added. "That's not like Syrus to make a mistake like that."

"Dirt is great, don't'cha think dirt is just the coolest thing Ai?" Syrus asked as he made small designs in the dirt, his back to Aira.

Aira sweat dropped, "Sy! Don't crack on me just yet, you just made one mistake, that's all." She said.

Syrus turned around and rose to his feet, "Yeah, the mistake of coming to this school..."

Aira shook her head. "No Sy, you just forgot to use Patroid's special power is all. He lets you check out one of your opponent's facedown cards once per turn. You could've seen my Trap." She explained.

"Yeah, I know I'm no good!" Syrus looked away, eyes closed. "I don't belong here."

"Whoa, slow down there. I didn't mean anything like that!"

Syrus lowered his head. "I know that, Ai... I know you didn't mean that. I know you're trying to help... It's just that..."

Aira waved at him. "Naw look, you're right, I shouldn't butt in. We're opponents right now and from here on out, we should act like it!" She drew her next card. "I summon Moonlight Crystal Snow Bear!"

Snow started to fall onto the field and out came a growled, a pure white bear with icy blue eyes and wearing a crystal armour.

Moonlight Crystal Snow Bear:
ATK/ 1600 - DEF/ 1400
Level 4

"Alright Snow Bear attack his Patroid with paw smash!" Aira ordered, her bear growled and ran towards the car lifting his paw then slamming it down destroying the monsters.

Syrus: 4000 - 400 = 3600

"Attack him directly Fairy!" Aira Fairy flew up and flapped her wings creating a tornado hitting Syrus directly.

Syrus: 3600 - 1000 = 2600

"Finally, I'll place a two cards facedown and that's it." Aira said ending her turn as a reverse card appeared on the field.

Aira: 4000

Syrus: 2600

Syrus sat up, smiling slightly. "Can I crack up now? I just got nailed on both of our turns, I can't win!"

"Of course you can win Syrus!" Alexis called out to him. "You just have to believe in yourself!"

"That's right. The duel's barely even starting. It's not over 'til the last card is drawn!" Aira encouraged.

"They're so right! Don't give up! I mean, duh! That's the first thing they teach you in Freshman Dueling class! I should know I took it twice!" Chumley shouted.

"Are you serious?" Alexis looked at Chumley with incredulity.

"Aira this kid has no confidence in himself." Lobomon stated.

"I know and this is hard, I'm holding back a lot right now." Aira said as she flexing her fingers.

Syrus looked at his deck, "They're right. I shouldn't give up the match so soon, especially since I'm not only just dueling for myself, but for Aira as well!" He took a deep breath and pushed himself from the dirt. "I won't give up as well."

"That's the way Syrus." Aira smirked.

"Now he's talking buddy." Agunimon grinned.

Yubel smirked, "Now let's see how he plays."

"Alright... here goes nothing..." Syrus drew his next card and looked at his hand. 'Well... I don't have a monster that can take on Ai right now. Looks like I'll have to go with a different strategy.' "I play the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! This allows me to draw 2 new cards from my deck!" Syrus drew two new cards. "Huh?!" Syrus stared at the pair of cards he just drew... one was Polymerization, and the other one he drew was Power Bond!

'He must if drawn pretty good cards.' Aira thought.

Alexis looked over Syrus's hand. And saw that he had Gyroid, Steamroid, Limiter Removal, Shield Crush, Weapon Change, Polymerization, and Power Bond.

'Syrus can win. He just needs to play Power Bond to fuse Gyroid and Steamroid, play Limiter Removal, and it's over!' Alexis thought.

"Power Bond's like Polymerization... only better." Syrus whispered to himself. "If I summon a Machine-Type Fusion monster with this card, it's ATK are doubled!" His shoulders slumped and closed his eyes. "Oh well... I'm not good enough to play this card... at least according to my brother... I'll never forget that day. It was back in grade school and I was dueling this really mean bully. It was my big chance to stand up to him, my big chance to show him that I couldn't be pushed around! But then Zane stopped the duel, and then he told me that using it just wasn't enough. Just holding this card again gives me the chills." Syrus muttered continued to look down at the card in his hand. "And what did he mean by that anyway?"

"Hey!" Aira called out to him. "You alright over there, Sy?"

Snapping out of his trance, Syrus shook his head and looked at Aira. "Uh... I'm fine. I play this Spell Card, Polymerization! Now, I'll use it to fuse the Gyroid and the Steamroid in my hand to create the Steam Gyroid!"

'WHAT IS HE DOING?!' Alexis' eyes widen in shock.

A swirling vortex opened up and a cartoony helicopter and a toy train with the same cartoonish look were sucked into the vortex and moments later, a monster with the Steamroid's body and the Gyroid's fan blades appeared.

Steam Gyroid:
ATK/ 2200 - DEF/ 1800
Level 6

"Alright, Steam Gyroid, it's time to go loco-motive!" Syrus ordered. "Attack with Train Twister!"

Steam Gyroid rotated its fans rapidly, creating a tornado funnel that rose high into the air and curved around before slamming into Moonlight Crystal Fairy. The little fairy struggled for a few moments before hearing a loud whistling sound. Steam Gyroid soared through the funnel and rammed itself hard into Fairy's chest.

Aira: 4000 - 1200 = 2800

"Gotcha!" Syrus taunted. "Had enough practice, Aira?"

Aira: 2800

Syrus: 2600

Aira laugh, "No this is just beginning." She drew her card, "I sacrifice Snow Bear to summon Moonlight Magician Girl!" Her snow bear vanished replacing his place is her female magician.

Moonlight Magician Girl:
ATK/ 2300 - DEF/ 2500
Level 6

"I reveal my facedown card Moonlight Sage Stone! Since I have Moonlight Magician Girl on the field I can automatically summon Moonlight Magician!" Her deck popped out a card and Aira grabbed it placing it on the disk, soon her male magician arriving on the field.

Moonlight Magician:
ATK/ 2600 - DEF/ 2300
Level 8

"Alright Moonlight Magician attack his Steam Gyroid with Light Magic attack!" Her magician rises his hand and a blast of white destroying his helicopter.

Syrus: 2600 - 400 = 2200

Syrus lowered his arm as the smoke cleared. "Aw man... that leaves me defenseless!" he cried.

"Yep and Moonlight Magician Girl attack his life points directly!" Aira female spellcaster lifted up her wand and a white blast appeared hitting Syrus directly depleting his life poor a to zero.

Syrus: 2200 - 2300 = 0

Aira: 2800

"And that's game!" Aira said.

Syrus slowly sat up from his fallen place and looked at his friend as he approached. "I dunno, Aira... I didn't put up a good fight..."

"Syrus, I am curious about something... what was that one card you didn't play? You look excited." Before Syrus could stop him, Aira bent down and pulled away the card his brother gave him. Aira looked at it. "Power Bond? Why didn't you use it? Steam Gyroid's attack would've been doubled! And with Limiter Removal... Why?"

"Those are pretty good cards in his hand." Lowemon said, "But why didn't he use them."

"Your right about that." Sakuyamon said looking at the cards. "He could actually push pass Aira defence."

"You don't understand..." Syrus stood up and snatched the card away. "My brother says I'm not good enough to play it and it's obvious that he's right..."

'That's the reason but why?' Aira thought incredulously.

"It's also obvious that you won't be able to win the tag-match with me as your partner." Syrus murmured before running off down the beach.

"Hey, wait! Syrus!"

"Syrus!" Chumley yelled at him and ran to cut him off at the pass.

"Poor Syrus..." Alexis murmured.

Aira could only look on

 Chumley followed him.

The waves crashed against the rocks as Alexis walked up to Aira, who was looking out at the water.

"I guess practice doesn't make perfect... at least not with Syrus, it doesn't." Alexis said.

Aira frowned. "I don't get it. Syrus is a cool guy, but he doesn't see what I see. I'll be blunt he has a problem with believing in himself. He had this awesome spell card ready to play, but didn't play it why? Because of some brother telling him not too." Alexis widened eyes and looked Aira. The latter noticed it. "What is it Alexis? Am I missing something here?"

"Well... that brother of his goes to this school. And you've probably heard of him too..." Alexis answered.

"Do you mean Zane?"

Alexis looked at the her with incredulity. "Yes. Third Year Obelisk student and number one duelist in the Academy? He's the big man on campus! Zane! And he's really good as his reputation!"

"Yes, yes I know, Zane Truesdale his Cyber End Duelist. His strongest is Cyber-Ended Dragon." Aira said making Alexis look at her.

"How did you know?" She asked the golden blonde girl.

"I have my ways." She replied simply.

"Or like Uncle Seto made me read the list of students who the top and all. It was quite boring but it helped."

"I don't like him or his attitude. Because he doesn't encourage his little brother expect for bullying him."

"Uncle Mokuba told me stories how Uncle Seto looks after him and encourages him in things, but Zane doesn't."

"Talk about opposite people." Dark Magician said.

Alexis sweat dropped, "Blunt way Ai, as always."

"I agree with you there buddy." Agunimon agreed.

"I wonder what happened to the two of them..." Aira answered.

"Aira...don't pry..." Alexis warned her, "It's their problem, don't get involved."

Aira grinned and punched her open palm like Joey Wheeler would do. "Don't worry...I'm not gonna pry, Lexis. I'm gonna duel!" She looked at the Obelisks Queen. "I'm gonna duel him and find out what's goin' on!"

"Aira, you're not listening! No one duels Zane!" Alexis protested.

"Really now well there's a first for everything." Aira smirked, "Plus I wonder if he can hold his own against my deck." She walked off. "See ya. I got to call my uncles about this tag duel." With that she watched as the Slifer Queen walked off back to her dorm.

In Aira rooms she was video chatting to Yugi, Joey and Marik.

[So your only suspended if you lose a tag-duel?] Yugi asked.

"Yeah, my tag partner is Syrus but his only problem is something that happen between the card call 'Power Bond' his afraid to use it." She said.

Joey whistled, [Power Bond. It's a pretty amazing spell card. It like a fusion card, if you fusion summon a machine type it can double the attacks points of that machine type monster.] He said.

[So whose your opponents?"] Marik asked. He has light blonde shoulder length spiky hair and purple eyes, tanned skin.

Aira shrugged, "Don't know. If that cross dresser guy is picking than its a strong tag team player. And I can only think off one which I already beat."

[You mean The Paradox Brothers.] Yugi said, [It makes sense since they were the best tag dueling partners till Joey and I beat them.]

Joey grinned, [Yeah. Then Ai came along and kicked there dueling butt.] He said.

Marik chuckled, [So how are you going to help your friend Ai?] He asked.

"Don't know. But imagine Uncle Seto and Uncle Mokuba great brother relationship." Aira uncles nodded, "Then you reserve the relationship making that Syrus and Zane now."

[Oh I see. This guy Zane doesn't encourage his brother or telling him the mistakes he does. Except he is treating him that he isn't good enough for that card. Correct?]

"Correct Uncle Marik and this guy is the top a Duel Academy student." Aira grunted, "He isn't settling a good example of it."

[What are going to do?] Yugi asked.

Aira smiled, "Well I'm going to duel the Kaiser and ask him what else is the behind him and Syrus." She said.

[Kaiser?] Joey asked.

She nodded, "Yeah that's what he is also called he due to his duel or card being a Cyber Dragon or something like that."

[Alright Ai, bye and good luck with Zane guy and tag-duel.] Marik said with a smile.

[Marik is right good luck and call us back after the tag-duel just remember Believe in the Hearts of the Card.] Yugi said.

Joey grinned, [Beat the butt of the Kaiser guy Ai.] He pumped his fist in the air, [Good luck and if you are dueling the Paradox Brothers again best them again.]

Aira smiled and nodded, "Of course Uncle Joey and thanks for the lucks. Bye~" She waved and turned the computer off. She sigh and changed to her Pjs and when to bed thinking of a way to help her friend.
