*Rosalina's POV*

''Blue Flame is assembling everybody for a meeting in the conference hall!'' A blue toad said as he walked across the hall, letting everybody know. 

I sighed, I actually wanted to go to bed, it was already late at night and I hadn't gotten any sleep since I was in the hospital in Sarasaland. Let's just hope that this was important.
We went to the same place where the last meeting was held before. When Ludwig came, he was taking heavy steps with his eyes staring down at the floor and his hands behind his back. I could see Toadsworth following close behind with the same sad expression on his face. When they both sat down by the table, Ludwig started to speak.

''Everybody,'' Ludwig started. ''We just got terrible news.''

Everybody looked at each other in worry.

''Assassin Kai Koops...'' Ludwig continued. ''Along with the rest of his team, and many spies were unfortunately discovered by Corporal Paraplonk and his men... there was a short battle between them.'' Ludwig closed his eyes and exhaled slowly before looking up at us. ''None of them made it out alive...''

Everybody let out small gasps. I didn't really know who Kai was but it sounded like he was a very beloved member of the resistance.

''Where's Flamy?'' Someone asked.

''She's in her room and doesn't want to be disturbed,'' Ludwig explained. ''Her brother's death... hit her very hard.''

Oh, so Kai was her brother. She never told us about him.

''But do not let the deaths of these brave souls let you all lose your motivation,'' Toadsworth spoke. ''The loss of Kai and his men doesn't mean that we have lost.''

''He's right.'' Ludwig joined in. ''Yes, they were important to us and we will miss them greatly, but we will still stand strong! Bowser thinks he has won, but he hasn't! We know where Yoshi and Donkey Kong is and we're going to get them!''

''How?'' Someone in the crowd asked.

Ludwig took out some blue paper rolls from his shell. ''With these!'' He triumphantly said and rolled them out on the table. They were some kind of blueprints for something. ''These are blueprints for a vehicle that can safely take us to Yoshi's Island.'' He explained. ''We can build it, but our problem is that we don't have all the time in the world, nor the fundings for all of the materials necessary to build it. We need to act quick.''

''Bowser is preparing his army of yoshis to take his armies to Yoshi's Island and destroy everything there,'' Toadsworth added, which made the crowd gasp a second time. ''We need to get there before they do so we can save Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and his people.''

''And how do you expect us to do that?'' Waluigi asked and crossed his arms.

Ludwig gave him a smug grin and pointed directly towards him. ''With the help of you, Mr. Waluigi.''

''Wah?!'' Waluigi flinched. ''Me? What made you sink so low that you need help from me?''

''You know Wario better than anyone else here,'' Toadsworth explained. ''Maybe you can convince him to lend you some money?''

''Impossible.'' Waluigi said. ''He's the greediest guy I know. He won't lend a single coin to anyone, not even me, and I'm his... brother.''

''But isn't there any way to get him to change his mind?'' Ludwig asked. ''Maybe if we present him with an offer he can't refuse?''

Waluigi thought for a moment. ''Or... there is another way we could get him to give us money...''

I was a little bit surprised to hear him say that. I expected him to just say that there would be no way at all to make Wario change his mind.

''Please do tell us,'' Ludwig said, interested about what Waluigi's thoughts were.

''Okay, you might not like this, it's on the more... violent side of solving it. But as a kid, I used to do it a lot against him.''

''If it means progress then I'll gladly want to hear it,'' Ludwig said.

''Okay so...'' Waluigi started, a small snicker escaped from him, but he tried to not let it out. ''There's a thing that Wario cares more about than gold, it means the whole universe to him.''

I never would've guessed that Wario cared more about anything else than gold. But apparently so. What was it? Mona? His casino? His yellow cap?

Waluigi began to snicker even louder, even though he tried to contain himself. ''It's this stupid... old... chicken!''

While Waluigi held his hand against his mouth to ensure that his laughs wouldn't escape, me, Ludwig, Toadsworth, Shawn and Polari exchanged confused looks with each other. I then looked at Waluigi as if he was completely crazy.

''Honey, did you accidentally eat a poison mushroom again?'' I asked.

Waluigi calmed down and took a deep breath. ''No, dear, I have not, thank you very much. I am speaking the truth when I say that Wario cares more about this chicken than he does for gold.''

''What's so special about it?'' Toadsworth asked confused.

''That's the thing! There's nothing special about it! It's just a fucking chicken! But he loves it so damn much that I would actually not be surprised if he married it!''

''So... what are your intentions with this chicken?'' Ludwig asked.

''Well, when I was a kid I would always take Hen- yes, her name's Hen -and threaten Wario to give me some coins. If he didn't, I would always say that I would pluck her feathers or eat her for dinner... or something in that direction.''

''That... sounds doable...'' Toadsworth said. ''Where does Wario keep Hen?''

''That's the hard part.'' Waluigi sighed. ''He has it hidden somewhere inside of his casino, and I don't know where... But I have seen him have it in his office sometimes!''

''What do you think about this, Blue?'' Toadsworth asked Ludwig, who was already deep in thought.

After a few seconds, he looked up at Waluigi. ''This chicken is the key to help us build the submarine. It will save hundreds of yoshis and the two star-children, bring a possible end to Bowser's reign and turn things back to how it used to be.'' He looked over at Toadsworth. ''We'll find that chicken and get Wario's money. Then we will save Yoshi and Donkey Kong.''

''Very well.'' Toadsworth smiled and looked at Waluigi. ''Mr. Waluigi, if you have some thoughts on how to get a hold of Hen, then please tell us all about it. Every little detail and idea would be more than helpful.''

''Alright,'' Waluigi grinned and leaned onto the table with both of his hands. ''I think I have a few ideas.''
