It was a long ride, but the pokeys surely knew where they were taking us... I hope. Sometimes they had to stop and look around. All I saw was sand everywhere, but to them, it seemed like they knew every sand grain in the desert.

The sun was now up and it was extremely warm. It didn't help that I had black clothing either. But as a reassurance, I could see something in the distance. Maybe a town, or a water source, whatever it was I couldn't wait until I could finally jump off this pokey, he balanced me well on his head but the ride was bumpy and even though the flower I sat on was soft my butt felt sore.

''Rosalina, look!'' Shawn said and pointed forwards.

I couldn't see what he was seeing at first, but then, after we had gone over a particular sand dune, the desert switched over to a giant field of flowers. I did not know how this worked but it did, nonetheless.

''I think I can see a city far over there!'' Shawn said. ''And a castle! We did it!''

But of course, something more had to happen before we could claim our victory. Giant piranha plants suddenly started to sprout out of the ground, and they looked hungry. The pokeys tried to go around them and were close several times to get eaten. Then, we came to a stop. There were piranha plants all around us, we were surrounded!

''What do we do?'' Shawn asked shakily.

I thought for a moment, if Waluigi was here he would know what to do. He could calm the plants down like he did with the ones on the roof at home. Maybe... wait!

''Pokeys, can you carry me up on the piranha plants' heads?'' I asked them. 

They simply nodded while still smiling. I hopped onto one of them and it brought me closer to one of the plants. It chomped at me like it hadn't eaten for days, and the giant gaping mouth that was right in front of me filled with razor sharp teeth gave me the chills. But I had to do this so we could pass.
When we were close enough, I threw myself onto the head of the plant and quickly started punching it on a particular spot that was located right above its mouth. It stopped chomping and fainted. The pokey caught me again and we all quickly traveled past it while all the other plants continued to chomp at us.

''Did Waluigi teach you that?!'' Shawn asked.

''Yeah, but I never want to do that again,'' I replied, breathing heavily. ''It was extremely scary.''

''You might have to...'' Shawn said as he looked behind us. I did the same and saw that several small piranha plants were now running towards us by using their leaves at their legs!

''Won't this nightmare ever end?!'' I sighed frustrated.

The pokeys tried to outrun them but they were extremely fast and had soon caught up with us. They started biting the pokeys lower bodies, causing them to lose their balance and fall down, dropping us. The plants then proceeded to hunt us down, I quickly got up, grabbed Shawn and started running towards the city. It was a long way there, and I doubted that I would be able to run that far, but it was better than to be eaten by piranha plants!

''My legs hurt...'' I complained as I panted and gasped for air. ''I've been walking and running too much today already!''

''Don't give up!'' Shawn said. ''Just a little further!''

''There's a long way ahead!'' I yelled and looked back. The pokeys behind us had been bitten so much that they couldn't move anymore, and now all of the piranha plants were chasing us. My legs hurt so much, it felt like they were going to break.

I started to slow down, I could barely breathe anymore. The plants got closer by every second until they were right behind us. I could hear them chomping, I didn't want to be their breakfast, but my legs disagreed with me and suddenly in just a second gave up and made me fall down on the ground face first. I quickly took Shawn and held him close to my chest to protect him with my own body. I tried to press the plants' spots over their mouths but every time I tried, they chomped on my hand. They were much faster than the big ones they started biting me, my arms, legs and any other part they could get to. I screamed as their teeth pierced my skin. It was horrible. Shawn was probably having a panic attack since he was all stiff and all he did was breathing at a rapid pace while tears fell from his mask's eyes.

''I don't want to die!'' He cried.

''Shawn, I'm gonna release you now. And when I do I want you to RUN!'' I said.

''What? But what about you?!''

''They will only focus on me, they won't notice you! I'll take care of them... in some way. Go and get help!''

I released Shawn from my grip and he started running as fast as he could. The plants didn't care about him and were only focused on me like I had predicted. Now I tried to quickly think of how I would be able to stop them from biting me to death until Shawn would return with someone who could help.

I tried to move but realized that I couldn't anymore. Everything hurt so much that my whole body had gone numb. I panicked, if I couldn't do anything I would bleed to death from the bite wounds.

I wanted Waluigi to be here, but he wasn't, it was only me... alone...

Soon my vision turned black, and I was afraid that it would be my last living moments. The only thing I could hear was my heartbeat and... a muffled voice?
