Waluigi ended his story and I could feel his stressed aura almost blowing up. He held his hands in front of his face and leaned down on the table while breathing heavily. I gently put my hand on his head and he looked up at me with a sad face.

''Waluigi, what's done is done. It was an accident. Piranha plants are wild creatures that eats everything they can get ahold of. It just happens to be one that you planted.'' I said in a calming voice.

Waluigi's aura calmed down again. ''But they were meant to kill Mario...''

''Didn't it throw up his bones or anything?'' I asked.

''No, in rare cases it doesn't so I figured that it was one of those moments.'' He said. ''I still take care of that same exact plant.''

''Where is it?'' I asked him.

He stood up and opened the locked door in front of the apartment entrance. Then he came back with a pot and a piranha plant that was the same size as his torso. ''They shrink when they get older, so it isn't as big as it was then.'' He explained and put it on the table.

It turned its head to me and I stared at it. Then I tried to pet it but as soon as my finger got close it tried to bite me. ''Hey! Be nice!'' Waluigi commanded. It stopped and let me get close to it.

I pet its head and felt its vibrations and its aura around it. ''This isn't the one.'' I said.

''What?'' Waluigi said. ''What do you mean by that?''

''This piranha plant hasn't eaten any human in its whole life. You sure that it was this exact same one?''

''Of course, it still had the red fabric from Mario's clothes stuck on it's teeth when I dug it out!'' Waluigi explained.

''I can sense every thing it has eaten under its entire lifetime, but none of it is human meat.'' I said and looked cofused at it as it smiled a little while wanting me to pet it more.

''Then...'' Waluigi paused. ''Neither Mario nor Luigi is dead...?''

''It is a possible theory, but I can assure you that this plant is innocent.'' I said. ''Maybe Mario and Luigi just dropped their hats in the pit.''

Waluigi sunk to the floor on his knees, I sat down in front of him and smiled. ''You're not a murderer, Waluigi. You've never been.''

I hugged him, and he chuckled. ''Thank you, for all this time I... I was drowning in guilt. Rosalina, you're a miracle!''

I comforted him a little while before we decided to go to bed. Tomorrow was a big day, after all. The big kart race that Waluigi had been training for.

*The next day*

We managed to get to the place where the kart race would take place without getting involved with the police. Now I could take off my coat and walk freely without any problems. There were thousands of people arriving every minute, it could be easy to lose someone here. We made our way to the garage where Shawn already stood and waited for us with a backpack on his back. He became happy to see us and opened the garage. There was Waluigi's bike, polished and clean. And a spare bike leaning against a wall next to it. It was Shawn's, in case of emergency if Waluigi crashed or something, witch I hope wouldn't happen.

Shawn also was very exited to show me something. He reached into his backpack and pulled out the white biker suit and the boots I wore the last time we met. But this time he had changed a few things. The biker suit now had turquoise stripes on the sides along the legs and arms and on the chest there was a yellow star (witch was my own emblem). And the boots had changed colour from white to turquoise, only the bottom of the boots was white now.

''I did a few changes so they would fit you more, I know that your favourite colour's turquoise.'' Shawn shyly said.

I smiled and changed into them on the bathroom. When I came out again, Waluigi couldn't stop looking at me. ''I really love this suit, Shawn. You did a good job on it!'' I said and thanked him.

Shawn seemed to like flattery alot and smiled while turning his face away from me to hide his blush (even though I couldn't see it because he wore a mask).

''You look really great in it.'' Waluigi said and gave me a thumbs up. Polari didn't like that though and floated in front of him. ''Hey, why don't we prepare for the race?'' He suggested.

We made everything ready. We checked the bike multiple times so that there wasn't anything wrong with it and made sure that Waluigi was prepared mentally and physically. Shawn really seemed to care for him alot, he must've been a great friend for him theese past three years.

''And what do you do if you get a banana peel?'' Shawn asked.

''Hold it behind the kart, not throwing it away.'' Waluigi answered immediately.

''Alright, you seem ready.'' Shawn said. ''Now we just gotta know what track we are playing on.''

''You mean you don't know?'' I asked.

''No, it's a suprise every time.'' Shawn answered. ''It could be any track, this stadium has all the tracks like pieces under the ground and can change into any track from previous races.''

''Alright, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the weekly kart race tournament!'' The judge said on the speakers. ''The contestants are: King Koopa, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Wario, Daisy, Toad, Boo, Koopa, Dry Bones, Shy guy and Toadette! And the kart track this time is...''

He made a dramatic pause, it all became quiet. So quiet that you could hear a button fall.

''WALUIGI PINBALL!'' He exclaimed and the crowd went wild. We felt the ground shake a little and then it stopped again. ''The contestants are now allowed to enter the track and take their starting positions!''

Did... Waluigi have his own track? I looked at him and he looked pretty confident. ''Are you sure that you're going to be alright?'' I asked worriedly.

''I'll be fine, I designed this track! Nobody knows it better than I do!'' He said and lead his bike out of the garage to his starting position.

Me, Shawn and Polari went to a place where the friends of the contestants would sit and watch. We had a nice view and a big screen showing all the parts of the track. Shawn had a headset with him that he put on as soon as he sat down. ''Waluigi, can you hear me?'' He asked.

Waluigi turned to the camera and made a thumbs up. ''Good, you got this!'' Shawn encouraged him.

''I have butterflies in my stomach!'' Polari said and sat next to me. I didn't say a word, I was too focused on Waluigi. I didn't want him to get hurt. And Bowser looked pretty menacing even when you looked at him through a camera.

''The countdown will start soon! Contestants, get ready!'' The judge said.

Please don't die, Waluigi...
