*Waluigi's POV three years earlier*

I was standing by Bowser's throne together with Wario. We were just chilling there, waiting for Mario to come and kick our butts as usual. We were used to it by now, even Bowser admitted it.

''Hey, bro.'' Wario said. I turned my head to him. ''What?'' I asked.

''You got any more of those Bob-ombs? I'm bored and I want to blow up something.''

I looked at him with distrust. ''What exactly are you going to blow up if I may ask?''

Wario shrugged his shoulders. ''I dunno, a flower, someones house. Maybe one of your piranha plants!'' He laughed.

''Leave them alone!'' I said. ''They need to be alive so they can get Mario when he falls down the great pit in world 6.''

''Whatever.'' Wario said. ''I'm gonna go out and find something to do.'' He stood up and made his way to the entrance. Then as soon as he left Wendy also went for the door but Bowser stopped her.

''And where are you going with that much makeup on, young lady?''

She sighed and turned around. ''I'm just going out for a while, I won't be gone for long.''

''Oh, no you don't!'' Bowser said and rushed over to her to pick her up. ''I know you're lying, my dad-ears can hear it a mile away.''

And while Wendy and Bowser had a little father-daughter argument with each other, a voice could be heard on my walkie-talkie that Bowser had given me.

''Hello...? Is anyone there...? Papa?'' It was Bowser Jr's voice.

I stared at Bowser and Wendy that now were about to kill each other. ''Hey!'' I yelled. Bowser and Wendy stared at me. ''What?!'' They yelled back. ''Junior's on. I think he wants to talk to you.'' I explained. And not a single second went by before Bowser grabbed the walkie-talkie out of my hands and started talking. ''Hello, son! Is Mario on his way?''

''Papa... he... he's coming...!'' Junior said. It almost sounded as if he was crying. I felt a little nervous hearing it, even if he wasn't my kid, I had never heard him cry before.

''Junior? Are you alright?! What happened?'' Bowser asked worriedly.

''M-My bones are broken... I'm so tired... And my head hurts really much... Mario beat me really hard this time, he said that he's had enough... P-Please come and get me...''

Bowser gasped. ''Don't worry, son! I'm going to get you right now! Hang in there!'' He started running for the exit. ''Wendy, look after the castle! Waluigi, go to the piranha plant pit!'' He ordered.

I immediately went out of the castle and headed towards world 6. I had a strange feeling in my gut, Junior hurt that much by Mario? It didn't sound like him, Mario would usually just jump on him three times and then move on. Eh, maybe Mario had gone mad or something just because his love-dovey princess got kidnapped AGAIN.

I was close to the pit with my piranha plant in it. I carefully went down into it, they all started chomping at me. ''Hey! What did I say?! No chomping at me!'' I yelled. They immediately stopped and I could walk as close as I wanted to them, I've always had a green thumb, and piranha plants was my specialty. Even if it wasn't one I grew myself they would still follow my every command. They all followed me with their heads as if they were looking at me. But that was why I liked them so much, they didn't have any eyes, so they couldn't see how much of a freak I was.

Then something broke the dead silence. A single plant was still chomping. I walked over to it and saw that it had something stuck in its throat. I helped to get it out by putting my arm right down into its throat and pull out the thing that was stuck. When I looked at the slimy thing in my hand I noticed what it was: Mario and Luigi's hats!

I was frozen for a moment before hearing Bowser and Wario calling my name. I yelled at them to come down and as soon as they came to me they saw what was in my hands and gasped.

''Is that...?''

''It can't be...!''

''Waluigi... you're the most amazing person I've ever known!'' Wario exclaimed. ''Your piranha plant trap worked! Mario and Luigi's dead all thanks to you!'' Wario dunked my shoulder and laughed happily. I should feel happy but for some reason I... couldn't.

''Then that means that I get to rule the kingdom! And I can finally marry the princess!'' Bowser cheered.

But when we came back to the castle, Bowser began to talk with Peach about Mario's death. She refused to believe it. And then when Bowser said that she didn't have another choice than to marry him she got really upset. Then, one night when she was locked up in her chamber, she used the power of the stars from her castle to turn into one giant power star. Nobody was able to get her out, not even Kamek himself. Bowser was devastated and began searching for Daisy. He really wanted Junior to have a mother, and if Peach wouldn't come out of that star then Daisy would have to do.

The problem was that she had already hid away. Nobody could find her anywhere no matter how much they looked. The news about Mario's death spread like a virus. Soon everybody knew.

Then Bowser started to change everything in the kingdom. He made it so that his minions could roam the lands freely again and do whatever they pleased. Everyone started to harass Toads everywhere and the big towns and cities became nasty places. And just for safety, Bowser started locking alot of people in jail for having magic. He didn't want to be defeated again and made sure to make it impossible for anyone to do that.

Wario and I had magic as well, but it wasn't much. Even then, Bowser considered to lock us up as well but decided against it.

''Because you have been so loyal to me, I'll let you live freely.'' He said to us.

Then, a year later he started to become bored and brought up tournaments. We would have a tournament every friday, the one who wins would get the prize money, and everyone had to participate. One Toad, one Koopa, one Dry Bones and so on. And the tournaments would be free of Police laws, meaning that nobody can be arrested as long as they are there. But Bowser only came up with that idea just to see Daisy and follow her home to see where she was hiding. But she wasn't dumb and managed to get away all the time.

I really hate this new world. It's a world of chaos and cheaters. When Mario was around it was at least fun to go kart racing, now it's just Bowser winning every time.

Everytime I'm walking on the streets every Toad looks at me angrily, it was my piranha plants that killed Mario. I just ruined thousands of lives, now the Toads have to dig in the trash to look for food because Bowser's minions have taken over almost every job. Guilt wash over me every time a Toad's eyes meets mine.

Now I feel like Mario haunts me every night. I made the world terrible! If only I would've known what Mario's death would've caused then I would never ever joined Bowser to begin with. I was foolish. If I could change anything in the world then it would be to save Mario's life and prevent everything that has happened theese last three years.

Everybody hates me.

It's all my fault.
